James has did work for me in March 2024 and ive just recently this week had him back to do some further electrical work. Highly recommended! The price was competitive, communication was brilliant, and we’re very happy with the work that was completed. Will definitely be using again! After moving into a property with damp and mould issues, as well as needing some additional electrical accessories and installations, I turned to Google to find someone local with good reviews, as I’ve had too many bad experiences with local tradesmen who’ve done a bad job and let me down. Carter Noble (James) have been great. He was really quick to come round and visit the property to give us a quote, and really took the time to find a personalised solution to our problem. He even popped round with a demo model of how the wireless switches would work on the new extractor fans/lights that we needed. Since having the fans installed, our dehumidifier has gone from pulling 4litres of water out of the air DAILY, to less than 4 litres per week. Problem solved! I’d also like to mention that James was really thorough in ensuring all electrics were up to scratch, and discovered a number of switches and plug sockets that weren’t earthed, and fixed them as well. My first experience with this firm and I am impressed by the quick and friendly response. My problem could not be solved immediately as our electrics are based on the 1970s and need an upgrade as well as a new hob. I appreciated James thoughtfulness and kindness as the 90 year old insisted on repairing the fuse - which blew again when the current was switched on. Everything was explained fully. We were looking for a quality local solar installer, James made the process really easy for us. He was knowledgeable about the system we needed and it was a great value install. He was clean and tidy and gave us a full explanation of how to use our system. As part of the installation we also had the consumer unit changed too with a full upgrade to an energy storage system so we can sell the electric we make and also be independent of the grid if the power ever fails. As our house has some old wiring we had an electrician come out (not Carter Noble) which gave it a once over ,snapped our floorboards, to coclude everything is fine. Did not fill me with much confidence when I was sure some bodge jobs had definitely been done beforehand. I then later found Carter Noble Electrical Ltd to give me further advice and reassurance. They came over quickly and helped me and partner through all our queries, preformed the work that was absolutely required in a fast and professional manner, removed and refitted everything back to the way it was and were extremely informative. I couldn't recommend these guys more, will definitely have them back for further work.

I called James for help when I the thermostats in our house stopped working and the heating engineer said that it was an electric fault. He warned me that he was not an expert on heating and he might not be able to diagnose the issue. It proved to be the case. However James was very patient and called the heating engineer and the company that makes the equipment and tried his best to sort out the issue. He was not successful but he was open and honest through out his work. He even refused his pay. Later he got back to me with an update after contacting a friend working on heating. I give him 5 stars for honest work!

Had an issue with my shower where it kept turning off and on again during use. The problem was identified quickly and fixed. Even made the shower and switch board safer due to the previous home owners skipping corners. Did cost a little extra but you can't put a price of safety. He even apologised and explained why it would be safer. Very professional and well priced for the services. Will be using again in the future if I have any other issues.

I first contacted James when moving house as I needed to have the quality of the electrics inspected. He was prompt, very helpful, and quick to finalise final quotes on the work needed, including corresponding with the housing agents to find a suitable timeslot.
