Our alarm was going off non stop from the early hours of the night, wife spoke to Paul who did an emergency call out & was here within half an hour. Called Paul early on Saturday morning with a weird circuit breaker tripping issue. Arrived within 90 mins and started the diagnostics, found an initial fault that seemed to fix the problem. Unfortunately just after he left we had a reoccurrence but Paul promptly returned and spent time on a deeper investigation which revealed a bigger, however he provided a super work-around that got us up & running. Will be asking him to return to do the remedial work as he us very easy to deal with and very knowledgeable. 5 star service & experience.

I contacted Paul on a Sunday evening due to concerns with a burning smell coming from the immersion heater. He could not have been more helpful and reassuring. At 3:40 last night I woke up to my house alarm going off due to the electric tripping. After trying multiple numbers off google having no luck due to the time, I finally came across Pauls number. I was very tired and upset at the time because I thought that everything in the freezer was about to get ruined right before Christmas. Paul was the best person I could have hoped for.. he heard how worked up I was and took the time to calm me down. After I sent images over text, he guided me through the reset process quickly and professionally. Paul also has gone out of his way to double check on me and making sure everything is still working. Couldn’t recommend anyone else.

Called Paul when my fuse box tripped, losing power to the whole house late on a winters night. He was with me within the hour, worked quickly and efficiently and best of all quietly so as not to wake the 3 children upstairs! He found the problem, tested the rest of the system and fixed some little problems he found and gave me some good advice on other parts of the electrics! Wow 10/10 Customer Service at 11pm at night when we was very worried about the light fitting in the Kids bedroom. Spoke to a lovey Guy called Paul who advised my husband what to do to make it safe. Within 5 mins all sorted. Upstairs Electric switched off from downstairs circuit untill we can get someone to fix it. Great service, quick response time via WhatsApp which is always a good way of communicating especially when it’s 24 hour call out. Recently had Paul out to replace a wall socket he was friendly and really helpful, quick and left everything tidy afterwards.
My electrical supply went dead and it wasn't clear what had gone wrong - no switches tripped on the fuseboard and nothing wrong with the meter. This evening, all the power points in my kitchen failed meaning that all my appliances went off - including the fridge and freezer !!! Desperately, I tried to get hold of an electrician but, for several reasons given, none were willing to come out - or they wanted to charge ridiculous sums to do so. Eventually, a friend gave me the number of an electrician she had used, telling me he was good. So, I contacted the gentleman, called Paul, and he certainly is a gentleman. We discussed the problem via text after which I was asked to perform certain procedures. This I did and, by the end of our "conversation", I had all plugs working whilst having discovered that one of my appliances is faulty and, therefore, causing the problem. Tomorrow, we shall find out which one. I cannot thank Paul enough. He is clearly extremely knowledgeable, skilled and practical - using this method to help where he can. He also has a sense of humour, which is good in circumstances like these when I was anything but happy to begin with. I cannot recommend Paul highly enough and wish him well in everything he does. I recently had some electrical work done at home and ended up worrying myself about some of the wiring that I wasn't 100% sure about. My home was built in the '90s, and as a result, my fuse box etc. aren't quite as up to date as they should be. I rang Paul late on a Sunday evening hoping to get some expert advice (and a second opinion), and he couldn't have been more professional, understanding and reassuring. He listened carefully to my concerns and agreed that they were valid - but then went on to explain how they ultimately weren't anything to worry about. He could have easily booked me in for a visit and charged me for an emergency callout, but instead he was kind enough to talk through my concerns and offer the reassurance I needed. We ended up chatting about a few other things in relation to the original issue, and I never once felt like he was trying to get me off the phone or sell me anything. I ended the call satisfied I'd spoken to someone who knew exactly what they were talking about, and I immediately saved his number in my phone. I contacted V&A Burgess to do an electrical inspection for me. I'd been advised by a previous electrician that the house wiring was old and probably needed replacing. Paul was Absolutely wonderful We are currently renovating our house, I went out for about 30 minutes, my partner decided it would be a good idea to change a few plug sockets and light switches, she had managed to do 2 plugs and 3 light switches in this time which was quite an achievement. Sadly this left us without any power at all to the house, I was quite impressed of the level of devastion that could be achieved in just 30 minutes, but this left us in the dark on a Friday night. Called up, and paul was round within 90 minutes did an efficient fault finding to identify and rectify the multiple issues in under an hour. We contacted Paul after electrics started tripping last weekend. We have had problems with electrics over last 2 years or so which previous electricians have never really sorted. So efficient and maximised his hour call out. He found 2 issues 1 of which he needs to return to sort. This was arranged right away with full explanation of problem and how he will fix it. Called Paul as I have an intermittent RCD fault that only happened after new external lights were fitted. The original electrician told me this was coincidence, leaving me no option bug to source another electrician. We called V&A on a Saturday during Bank Holiday weekend. Paul texted us back to advise he was away on holiday. He then spent the next 90 mins in a to and from offering free advice and even advising another company that could help if a call out was needed. In the end we were able to troubleshoot the problem ourselves but it would not have been possible without Paul's free advice. Had an electrical fault with all the house sockets at around midnight. Called around for an emergency electrician. None of them were willing to come out despite saying provide 24 hours services. I cannot speak highly enough of Paul and Kate who run this company. I contacted Paul at 6 am on a Saturday morning because all of the lights downstairs in my house weren’t working and had obviously tripped the fuse board. It wasn’t clear even whether it was the lighting or sockets that had plunged everything into darkness! Paul came round at 7 am on what was due to be his day off and set about doing tests to diagnose the issue. He was very thorough and when he’d identified the problem, he explained very clearly what the problem was and he needed to do. He returned a few hours later with Kate and together they worked really fast to rewire the cable to the light, taking up floorboards and carpet in the process, and getting it all in working order. They also left everything clean and tidy which I was very grateful for. Thoroughly professional and skilled, reliable (they arrived when they said they would!), friendly and good-humoured and a pleasure to do business with. They did a small repair for me but I’d trust them with much bigger jobs now like rewriting an entire house or commercial premises. Paul came around on an emergency call out after our electric supply was cut totally @8.30pm. Not the greatest time to lose power on a dark evening, but he put us at ease straightaway with his friendly and professional manner and quickly identified the problem which was potentially life threatening. Nothing to do with our house electrics but he immediately contacted NW Electricity who came a short time later to make our property safe as the problem was external. His knowledge is vast and in depth; the most knowledgeable electrician i have met. He kept me informed throughout the job of what his plan was, how he was going to carry out the job, what the end result would be and any problems encountered. Some of my electrical work proved challenging but Kate and Paul both used their expertise to find a solution. I have already recommended Paul and Kate to my family and friends. Woke up this morning to no power in the house - very problematic when working from home! I went online and searched for emergency electricians and went for the top rated local spark…and I’m so glad I did!! I called at 6:30am, Paul was out within the hour and within 90 minutes, the fault was found and fixed. Paul was really friendly and reassuring, and explained what he was doing as he went through it. He was respectful of the property, used appropriate language to explain things (I’ve had tradespeople in the past be quite condescending but Paul was the exact opposite) and was generally an all round superb tradesperson to have in my home. We had an emergency at my parents home and needed an electrician to make wiring safe so chair lift and profile bed could be plugged in for my father by 7pm..rang a few who could only attend weeks later so we were panicking to how to get dad to bed. I rang the last number and although the electrician was away, he travelled back and was half an hour early. Cannot tell you how stressed I was but within 5 mins felt like I'd known Paul ages and his reassurance and sense of humour help calm the situation down. He started on the wiring which wasn't a straight forward job at all.. Went above and beyond and even helped with a stuck garage door and eventually managed to put the fuse in the fuse box.. Very friendly, very courteous, great sense of humour, did a fantastic job in no time at all.. Would highly recommend and will definitely store his number for future disasters. 10/10
Paul did an EICR on my property. He was very friendly and explained everything that was involved and did a professional job. He went through the results and paperwork with me explaining everything. I'm really happy with the service and would highly recommend him for any electrical inspections you may need.
Consumer unit failed. Paul identified the fault, found a rare replacement part (we have an old unit). He told us who to ring to have to have the the house isolated, liased with the grid engineer. Removed and replaced the broken part and restored power to the house. Very professional, totally genuine and straightforward, explained everything he was doing and why. His number is now stored in contacts if we or the rest of the family have an electrical emergency again.

Paul was sent by my insurance company as my electrical board was tripping. I could not have anything plugged in, no central heating, or hot water, freezer full of food defrosting. He quickly found the problem, I was very grateful. We need to have further work done which I would like him to do, but to save cost he has suggested I try to find someone more local first, which he did not need to do. It’s admirable that he’s not just said “yes I will do the job” making it more expensive as we would need to pay his travelling expenses. This may seem strange at first being a gas related issue but it attests to their professionalism. A plumber who was recommended to us to change a tap walked in to our house and straight past our tap to the boiler cupboard. Took one look at the boiler and condemned it. Rather strange considering A he wasn't there to look at the boiler and B by his own admission needed his friend to come around to support his findings. Having had dealings with Paul and Kate in various different aspects we contacted them to see if they would come over and put our minds at ease. Paul had his carbon monoxide tester recalibratedand came over to test our newly condemned boiler. 0 parts per Million was the resonse, no sooting as previously pointed out, was just a heat stained pipe. We would gladly pay for a service that we trust as I'm sure so would you, this is how good people are duped out of thousands of pounds by listening to qualified people. We were quoted between £3,000 and £5,000 to fit a new boiler. Google reviews are the way forward when it comes to trust as a friend just reccomending someone isn't enough in my opinion. Unfortunately for the previous plumber mentioned I was suspicious and didn't take him at his word. Paul and Kate not only drove a great distance to come and check our appliance knowing we weren't going to have them fit a boiler whether it was condemned or not, but a great testiment to their professionalism and manner. We not only reccomend them, but strongly advise that you check out their other Google reviews. After removing some fitted wardrobes and attempting to relocate a couple of double wall sockets, the power in the house to all the sockets failed. After initial attempts to solve the problem on my own failed, I called V & A during a frantic search for a 24/7 electrician. Paul was nice, knowledgeable and tried to solve the problem without the callout but when this was not to be the case, he came out within an hour and identified the issue in the first ten minutes. Within another 20 minutes, he had fixed the issue and I am all the happier for it. Could not recommend more, amazing service. In addition I have a 16 month daughter who was sleeping at the time and Paul kept as quiet as possible so as not to wake her. Again fantastic service! Imran
