We’ve just had Steve back for the second time, and once again his work has been exceptional. This visit was to fit two new electrical sockets in our bedroom and to prepare the fuse board for when he returns to install our EV charger. As always, he took the time to explain every step of the process — from the regulations around adding new circuits to the safety requirements for EV‑ready consumer units — so we understood exactly what was being done and why. Steve is reliable, knowledgeable, and genuinely takes pride in doing things properly. After two great experiences, we won’t hesitate to use him again and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a trustworthy electrician.
I would highly recommend Steven to carry out your Electrical jobs a true professional and comes highly recommended from myself. We had a new consumer board upgrade and testing etc excellent work, don’t hesitate to contact him he always responds within an acceptable time frame.
Consumer unit replaced, a couple of extra circuits added and a full inspection all done neatly and as requested. Would recommend.

Steve was excellent came on time very good communication kept us updated with a few faults we didn’t know about installed fusebox replaced old sockets with usb sockets installed a new plug in spare room and a outside light would definitely recommend 👍👍👍thanks Steve

Steve replaced my fuseboard as well as a few sockets and was very professional. Did a top class job, cleaned up afterwards and even managed to fit me in earlier than expected. Will definitely use him for any future electrical work!

Steve responded immediately to a job at short notice and was accommodating about access and keys when we were out. He installed a couple of non standard fans in the bathroom and kitchen along with a few other jobs. His work was tidy and competently done. We needed a damaged socket replacing and contacted Steve, he replied the same day and gave us a quote. He was able to come out the next day, he let us know when he was on his way and arrived on time. Steve undertook a change of multiple light fittings in my home. Communication prior to booking was absolutely great. friendly, approachable, answered all my questions and provided advice. The quote was really reasonable and booking was also quick. on the day Steve arrived on time, talked me through the job, took on board what I was asking for etc. As well as undertaking the job to a really high standard Steve kept all working areas really clean and was considerate towards my home. Can't recommend him enough. A skilled, friendly and approachable guy to deal with which is everything I'd ever look for.

I needed an EICR carried out and called S P Electrical after reading all the good reviews on Google and Checkatrade. Steve carried out the EICR as planned and well. I received the report only a few hours later. Excellent communication, very reliable and efficient. To top it off, Steve is a very friendly and genuinely nice person. Don’t waste time looking for another electrician, use Steve.
Steve came to make safe and remove redundant wiring and fixed our extractor fan. Such a genuinely lovely man, he was so tidy and treated our home with as much respect as if it were his own, which was massively appreciated. He’s super knowledgeable and gave us really useful advice. He arrived at the time he said, gave us all of our options and sorted everything for a reasonable price! Definitely would recommend to anyone/everyone!

I would like to add to a review i posted below a while back of steve from SP Electrical. Once again, Steve has delivered an excellent service. I have used Steven’s services many times before, and he is always my go to electrician, I wouldn’t use anyone else. On this occasion, he installed a full electrical supply to my summer house, with the wiring connected directly into my main fuse board. He also fitted two outdoor lights, an exterior plug socket, and a new smoke alarm. I now have full electricity in my summer house, which I’m extremely pleased with. As always, Steven’s communication and advice were excellent. He is honest, reliable, clean, and tidy. He arrives exactly when he says he will, is very thorough, and clearly takes great pride in his work. I would 100% highly recommend Steven once again. I wish all tradesmen were like him. Thanks for all your help and advice it is and was very much appreciated. Steve has done numerous jobs for me including a full electrical re-wire, fan installation, light fittings and fixed a problem I had with a bathroom towel radiator, he came this time and fitted a ring doorbell for me, excellent service once again, he is honest, reliable and always tidy when carrying out work. Steve is a top guy. Really honest. Had a car charger fitted. Steve was full of good advice. Job price actually went down because of a change in plans. Steve could have kept the price the same but he didn’t. While working on the charger he notice an issue with other electric. Fixed it no problem. Steve is my go to electrician from now on.

Steve completed trunking (neatly and correctly done) before installing a socket in the hallway and a video doorbell. He also changed bathroom lights, first making sure that they were rated for bathroom use. He also installed a new ventilation fan. After 3 years everything is working perfectly. Many thanks.
Steve installed a new induction hob inc. fresh cable, new kitchen ring and replaced several kitchen sockets. Installed all associated appliance spur points and sockets. Updated the main fuse box and installed an extractor hood with external outlet and a plinth heater. Tested electrics within the house as part of the job. Work was completed to a high standard, certificates were provided upon completion and explanations and advice were given throughout. Very happy with the work. Would recommend and use Steve again.
Steve has been my go-to electrician for over five years and has never let me down. He’s worked on both my current and previous houses, including fitting new fuse boards and installing all the electrics and lighting during a full kitchen renovation, including a new ring main. Steve came round to check some light switches and gave me some very good advice. I asked if he could quote me on a new fuse box, as the one I had was as old as the hills. He gave me sound advice on how the new fuse boxes work and about how safe they are. Steve is very knowledgeable and professional. On the the day of the instalation was very thorough. Cleaned up after himself and gave good advice once installed. Steve also messaged me a few times afterward, to check if everything was still OK. Which it is. A1 electrician. Would highly recommend.

We've recently had a lot of work done as part of a new kitchen and Steve played a big part, rewiring the kitchen and utility room. Steve from SP electrical has now rewired 3 houses for us and he has been fantastic. Everything is double checked and has an EICR certificate. He has also done an emergency call out one evening when the lighting went in one of our rental properties. We will always use him for our electrical work going forward. Steve is good. It's the third time he has done work for me. This time he installed electric in my workshop and an outside light. He made sure he knew what I wanted, did a really tidy job and sent me the certificates the next day. He didn't use all the cabling he had quoted so ended up charging me slightly less than I expected. A nice surprise!
Just had Steve back again to fit a replacement cooker hood. As usual, arrived when promised, work carried out to a very high standard, dealt with a small snag (caused by previous kitchen fitter) without fuss and at a very reasonable price.
