We had DATEL to replace a consumer unit with a new RCBO board and wire up a garden water feature while also installing outdoor sockets and a spur. They arrived promptly and were very professional in their approach to the work . This took most of the day as they had to do a bit of fault finding due to a previous owners home efforts at a loft light. Everything was explained to us and they tidied up, including hoovering our understairs cupboard. All in all well recommended. Not the cheapest quote we obtained but the fact the work is guaranteed and was done so well more than makes up for the difference. Many thanks.

An excellent experience. Macauley and Jon were very pleasant to deal with and did a great job installing an Ohme charger in a slightly unusual situation, which they dealt with admirably. They also did some circuit testing in the house and were no trouble at all and cleaned up perfectly. I will use Datel again.

I recently needed to replace four ceiling downlights in my kitchen, and a broken exterior wall light on the balcony of my apartment. I am not a DIY fan, so I decided to contact a local electrical firm to undertake the tasks on my behalf. I already knew of Datel Electrical Ltd, having passed by their local base on numerous occasions. It was also comforting to discover that the Company is listed with Checkatrade. Initial contact via email was fabulous! Jo was very warm and welcoming, swiftly arranging for her colleague David to make a site visit to assess the situation. David arrived promptly on the appointed day. A very affable and knowledgeable guy. An agreeable quote for the jobs reached my PC inbox promptly. A booking was soon made for engineer Harry to undertake the tasks in question. A pleasant young man, he arrived punctually on the arranged day, and carried out the repairs/replacements in a very efficient and professional manner. I was particularly impressed with how he tackled a glitch that arose with the light switch that operates the balcony light. A wiring issue that was soon rectified, following deeper investigation. I was also delighted with the friendly, businesslike communication, received from Chris, the firm's Operations Manager. I contacted the Company on a second occasion to request assistance with reconnection of twin ceiling lights - located in my lounge - following disposal of undesirable fittings as installed by the previous residents of my home. Engineers Peter and George attended to the task. I echo my sentiments as stated about Harry's expertise! I touched base with the company for a third time - July 2026 - to arrrange for a domestic EICR in my apartment, alongside replacement of four smoke detectors, one carbon monoxide detector, and one kitchen heat detector. Time to upgrade. Lovely to meet up with Peter again, and nice to meet Jon for the first time. Datel Electrical Ltd are the ultimate in the following; approachability, communication, customer focus, efficiency, professionalism, punctuality, and first class workmanship. I am very happy with these most satisfying end results, over three independent visits by the firm. Lights fixed and changed in two rooms, including old fittings sealed in bathroom ceiling. Broken dimmer switch changed and made safe. Really good work for a few hours from PHIL, to complete two jobs, and the two rooms look much brighter and better as a result. Really pleased and glad we found Datel for future work. Datel recently supplied and fitted an electric shower in our main bathroom. The service we received was 5 star. All the workers who attended throughout were courteous, professional and respected our property at all times. Shoes were removed and dust sheets put down. After my grandfather was left with out electric and no over for weeks one phone call to the Datel team 2 members of team where sent to my grandfather’s electric sorted oven installed packaging taken away and advised that the fuse board needed updating. My grandfather who was a general builder in his youth had no problem with this over the moon with the team the Communication and service and is booking in to have his fuse board replaced. They did a job for me sorting out the electrics in a shop that I had just bought. They did it quickly, efficiently and at a sensible price. I am happy to recommend them.

Electricians are good with attention to detail and clean and tidy professional installations. Office staff not so good had a query about the price quoted and asked why they want to charge me over £100 extra when I had already informed them that the shower had been disconnected I was not informed that they merging boards and had to pay another electrician to disconnect the tails from the old board. I sent them an email and the reply from them didn't even have my name correct. So be careful if they want to charge you for work that doesn't necessarily need doing !!

Datel were quick to respond to my initial query, provide a quote and flexible about timings for work at our convenience. The electricians themselves were thorough and professional about all the work, whilst being friendly and accommodating. They quickly responded to a few queries after the work was completed. Being alerted to times of arrival for work was very helpful, despite Sat nav taking them to the wrong location initially.

Chose Datel to convert a single downlight to a trio of pendant lights above a breakfast bar. The initial visit and quote arrived very quickly. Datel were very careful to implement our ideas and design causing the least disruption. Even when we changed our design to a set of dimmable lights at the last minute, there was no problem in changing the order. Work was carried out very professionally even pointing out an irregularity in our power supply that was later rectified by the National Grid. Excellent service.

On Friday two guys visited my property to do some work / testing. Great guys very friendly pleasure to have them. Professional work turned up on time with updates but overpriced on job

Just had some work done over a couple of days by the very nice chaps at Datel Electrical. They text me in the morning to tell me when they were arriving, they cleaned up after themselves and explained works they'd done. I had some outside sockets installed (one EV rated), some extractor fans installed in the bathrooms and some lighting done. The chap that came to do the work itself, Macauley, was very helpful (as was Josh, a young apprentice who was there for one day). David (one of the bosses I believe) came initially to give me the quote, also a very nice chap. Very pleased with the work that was completed, all on time and would be happy to employ them again.

Prompt response, courteous and knowledgeable engineers. Sorted the problem out quickly and at a reasonable price. What more could you want?

What we liked about Datel was their overall customer service. We were constantly informed on when they were turning up and could actually see how far away they were with the tracking system they used so we knew when to be home to let them in. I made my initial enquiry with Chris. Despite being very busy, he managed to fit us in at short notice. Dave came to look at the job. He established a solution, at a much greater cost than I was anticipating. Paul carried out the work. He resolved the problem and did a few extra smaller works on the day. Everyone at Datel has been excellent and I would have no hesitation recommending them to others.

Phil did a good job in difficult conditions (old, wayward house) and went the extra mile to find solutions to unexpected problems.

Peter and George fitted an EV charger, some 40m of cabling from my house to the garage and replaced my distribution boards combining into one new unit. Nothing was too much trouble, the installation was excellent and all was completed as scheduled. Pete even came back to following evening once I was back from work to set up the WiFi and mobile App. They even didn’t mind my dog stealing the odd rawplug or screwdriver.

Had Datel to carry out an EICR and to undertake the follow up recommended action. Chris, in the office was highly professional, knowlegeable and easy to talk to explained the whole process and replied to queries promptly. The work was carried out efficiently and without delay by two young friendly and capable electricians over three days.Highly recommended and would not use anyone else from now on.

I've used Datel for years now, and every time the company comes up trumps, from re-wiring to resolving minor niggles. I wouldn't use anyone else for our electrics. In the last couple of months, we've had all our old spotlights replaced with LEDs, plus a list of annoying electrical issues and some new lighting. Today, the tick list is done, and all work finished. Over the weeks it has taken, every engineer has turned up on time, been polite and friendly and got on with the jobs efficiently and effectively. Datel is a great company - I can't recommend the team more highly.

Lovely people - excellent efficient service

Having used you in the past, you were my first port of call. I was however disappointed, when I called the lady asked if I wanted a quote and told me a cost, I said no thank you I had to have the bathroom extractor fixed so an engineer would be great, again she told me an hourly rate. There was no mention of plus VAT or minimum cost. After three days of reminders Adam came 40 mins late but I did get a fifteen minute before arrival text. He was polite and very efficient, it seems my husband, who suffered from dementia had accidentally turned the isolator switch off. I think Adam was in the property less than ten minutes but I was still charged for a full hour plus VAT, which I have paid. That equates to £600 per hour, too much I feel, even for a highly skilled engineer. Sadly I won't be using or recommending you. This review has nothing to do with Adam who was very professional

I then had to call them out again, due to customer confusion. Datel were very professional, caring and patient. Would recommend them without hesitation.

Very prompt and personable service, issue resolved speedily without the need to resort to tools, just advice. We will certainly use them again. The were recommended to us and I have no hesitation in doing the same.

I have always thought that if reviews are too gushing and generally OTT then they must be fake, but I was genuinely very impressed with the whole process of dealing with Datel.

Communication was good, they reliably turned up when they said they would, the guys were professional, they tidied up after themselves, and the quality of work seems excellent. They weren't the cheapest quote, but inspired far more confidence than the other options and we have no regrets about going with them. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Will happily use them again in future if we have any other work that needs doing.

Stairlift installers had inadvertently drilled through an electrical conductor beneath concrete. Datel exposed and repaired the damage, in the meantime uncovering other electrical problems on the property which they will now be ‘sorting’! We have been impressed by their professional ability, working with the stairlift engineers and helping make good any damage.

The team is fantastic and good at the job

Didn't fix problem & went away promising a follow up call to arrange another visit. This call came 2 months later. I informed them that thanks to their delay, I had got another electrician in to fix the problem. This didn't stop them then billing me for the vist; a problem not fixed & charged for parts they had not only not replaced, they didn't have to as it wasn't the cause of the problem. It would be one star but the original electrician did make a dedicated if unsuccessful effort to fix the problem.

Great service phoned up in the morning and the job was all done the same day without any fuss. Will definitely use again and recommend.

Super professionals, I can highly recommend this company

The guys here were amazing, they came and did a full inspection of our house when we moved in, answered all my annoying questions and dealt with some jobs around the house to make me feel safe and happy. They have always given me great advice and been friendly and professional throughout. We still have some more work we need doing but are saving to tackle some of the bigger jobs but we know we will be choosing Datel again without hesitation.

I have needed to use this company twice in the last six weeks and earlier in the year also. The men are very polite and informative - and helpful. I can no longer do electrical stuff on my own and find it frustrating to need to ask for professional help, for sometimes fairly simple jobs, but not always, but this company have made life so much easier and straightforward for me. They have been a great discovery for my family.

We had an issue that was not easy to solve. Our power had been tripping, with no obvious cause. Jon came on day 1, then Dean came on a second day. Their expertise was second to none & both were friendly & respectful. Dean (& a very competent apprentice) was pretty sure he had solved the issue after thorough testing of everything in the house, replacing a switch in the fuse box. The fault has not returned. We are keeping our fingers crossed! Thank you Datel team.

Expensive but very good company

I wanted to say that in this day and age when everyone is so quick to moan.......I wanted to praise and send thanks and a big well done to Dean and Reece ( apologies if thats spelt wrong ) and Sam. It was nice to have nice guys working here in spite of the fact that this is for sure, not a regular property to do anything with. There were an occasional couple of other foks too.
