We've used Oliver Russell Electrical Ltd on a number of occasions and are very happy to recommend their service and professionalism.

Having recently moved to the area, it's always a gamble finding people you can trust to work on your home. I was lucky enough to find Oliver and his team who were absolutely great. Their experience was absolutely evident, advising on a range of electrical and networking topics. Came around to quote, booked in for a few weeks later. The team were always on time, incredibly helpful and friendly and always thorough in their approach to doing a great job - hiding cables, making good where needed and were always sure to tidy up at the end of each day (a simple thing, but speaks volumes about the care and attention to detail!). Highly recommended!

I have absolutely no reservation about recommending Oliver Russell and his team for your electrical work. I first came across Oliver when he was recommended by our builders 12 years ago, Nothing was too much trouble, the communications were great and the installation was just as we discussed including meeting some unusual requirements. Since then I have always used Oliver Russell electrical for all my electrical work and I will not call any others. I know that Oliver will give me a fair price, he and his team will do a great job and it will all be legal and safe. The cables will all be properly secured and it will look neat and tidy. If you need peace of mind then Oliver Russell should be your go-to electrical installer and repairer.

Oliver and his colleague did a great job on our house and barns they were always very professional and tidy and knowledgeable.

Oliver fitted an EV charger to our garage which is separate from the house. This was a non-standard installation, but Oliver managed to overcome the various challenges whilst staying within his quotation. Much better service than using a regional installer proposed by our energy company and the manufacturer of the charger.

Straight forward to deal with - simple booking/date given for work to be done. The new fuse board and other items where all done in less that a day - and the attention to detail and neatness of the work is great!

From quote to completion the team were brilliant! They ran 120m of cable to get power to our workshop. When they finished, they checked the pre fitted sockets to find that they didn’t work. It wasn’t their responsibility, but they went and got a part and wouldn’t sign off the job until we were fully up and running! Absolutely outstanding service and we can’t that the team enough!

Had a new Zappi car charger installed onto my house, good recommendation, great piece of kit. Fantastic installation on the day as the electrical supply came into the middle of the house. The cable was routed underneath another room and out to the outside and onto the house near the drive. Job very cleanly completed, very impressed with Oli and his team. Highly recommended.

Oliver was excellent. He came round to discuss what work we needed (additional sockets, light fittings and outdoor lights) and gave us a very reasonable quote. He came round on the first morning to brief his team who worked quickly and diligently over two days. They worked around us as we were working from home and discussed any issues as they arose. Oliver is just fantastic. I originally called out Oliver on an emergency, having been experiencing a tripping switch which eventually cut out completely. Oliver was so busy with work, but managed to squeeze us in and get us back up and running again. We then had Oliver come out for a morning appointment to repair the issue completely, and it wasn't an easy one to fix. Most trades people would have given up, but Oliver is a problem solver and works hard to locate the issue to enable him to fix it in the most efficient manner, with the least disruption. He is also super reliable, turning up on time and returning phone calls. Something that sounds very basic, but something I've come to learn isn't always a given when it comes to dealing with the trades. Highly recommended and delighted with service received. Two years ago we had a new boiler installed and the installing plumbers and electrician had made a ‘pig’s ear’ of it (we were without heating for three days). Our water tank has just been replaced and due to the previous problem with the boiler meant that the water tank would not work properly. Oliver was called in to sort out the electrics and found that the wiring hadn’t been configured correctly. He sorted it out for us and then moved the Heating Control panel to where it was accessible rather than me needing extendable arms to reach it! We are delighted with Oliver’s work. He was punctual, polite, explained what was wrong and what needed to happen. We are so thankful that our plumber knew of someone that actually knew what he was doing, in being able to sort out the problem which the previous men had left us with. I unreservedly would have no hesitation in recommending Oliver Russell Electrical Limited for all your electrical needs.

Oliver Russel recently completed an Outdoor Lighting install for us, the final part of our garden makeover. The lights look fantastic, just what we hoped for. Oliver Russell and the team are fantastic. We needed our main fuse upgraded, he submitted all the paper work and ensured he was onsite (at all times) when the national grid were here. Due to his good working relationship with the grid, he knew the team that turned up and they were also able to do an additional item of work. I totally recommend Oliver Russell and we will be using them again to move our fuse box and for the extensions we have planned.

We used Oliver Russell Electrical when we were having a double story extension on our house. Oliver and his team were very professional, clean and tidy and hard working and delivered quality results. During the build they discussed minor changes to our plans to ensure that the lighting and socket locations really worked for us. We have since recommended Oliver Russell Electrical to neighbours in our road and they have used him and been pleased with the results. Would not hesitate to recommend him again.

We have used Oli and his team for many jobs and we would thoroughly recommend him for taking the time to consider the best way of doing things, completing an excellent job, being clean workers and courteous. We have recommended him to several of our friends without hesitation.

Hired to install new build property. My house and the home I live in now. 1) incorrect speaker wire used (4 core per speaker)...creates unnecessary bulk and inflexibility of wire. Who uses 4 core for speakers ? Should be 2 core. 2)incorrect wire used to subs, specification clearly notes RCA. They used standard unshielded wire which creates a resonance hum due to 50hz field interference. Oliver refused to make good on the decorating required to fix the issue...issue remains. 3)incorrect plug sockets used. Not as specified / missing usb. 4)several incorrect location of down lights cut resulting in many remedial fixes to try and repair plasterboard. 5)bad system labelling. Hand written scribbles that fade over time....why not use a labelling machine! 6)left holes in wall behind TVs rather than correctly terminating. To be clear all items except for the RCA replacement in the Lounge have now been completed BY OTHERS successfully and without any constraints that would have justified them not being done as planned before. Therefore there is absolutly no reason they could not have been completed correctly by Oliver Russell Electrical. To be further transparent since joist location was not an issue on point 4 (incorrect location of down lights) a partial refund was given in acceptance of their mistake, but refund did not fully cover remediation costs of which they were aware. I am happy to post/share pictures as required. In general an OK electrician, however needs close oversight to final product. Quality not first priority, company is clearly under directorship of ££ first. Limited knowledge of basic Audio Visual. Disappointing experience.
