I was looking for someone to come and investigate our solar installation not working correctly. The installer from 2023 has gone into liquidation. Rob came back quickly to advise investigation cost and agree time to visit. On the day he diagnosed fault ( unfortunately inverter has an irreparable fault). He quoted for replacement and fitting which I have just accepted. Date and cost agreed for installation of replacement inverter. Rob attended and installed and spent time with me as we checked via the app all was working. I highly recommend.

Small job very professionally done

Dealt very quickly and helpfully with our urgent phone call when we lost power, so that I could restore without call-out charge. They were very thorough in finding and repairing the fault and 2 other issues within a couple of days, and the charge was fair and reasonable. Left everything clean and tidy.

RMD team install 3 new double sockets and 8 spotlights in our kitchen. The high standard of work was appreciated just as much as the fact these guys are so tidy. Great team effort with the job done in a single day. Cannot fault them. Highly recommended.

Rob from RMD has done several jobs for me at my building in Southsea across the last four years, including and EICR inspection, replacement of lighting and inspection of lighting and smoke alarms. The work has always been done to a high standard, with the areas left clean and free of damage afterwards. Communication is good across several modes, including email and business WhatsApp. I was originally alerted to them by their nicely designed van wrap! Heartily recommended for all electrical work

RMD came and changed our under kitchen counter lights to LED with a new Transformer as one was already broken. They fitted very slim LED lights which lie flat and are screwed in underneath invisibly. Lovely new bright light. Took less than 1 hour.

Rob did a fantastic job installing the AC just where I wanted it and was so professional did not leave anything to chance arrived as agreed and left no mess and made good all works to match in with the building

All went smoothly. Rob knew exactly what to do to prevent the solar battery from draining while charging the car.

Well all he did was flick a switch on a socket very high up that i didn’t see, and i got charged £98 for it. I did say that was too much especially as i was told there was no call out charge, but in the end they agreed to my to request to pay half, which i did, so thats why only 2 stars. Cannot comment on the work as nothing was done!!

The guys arrived spot on time and a did a superb job. All mess was cleaned up and when they left you wouldn’t have known that they had been in. A very good briefing was given on the new system and all the bits that when with it. Excellent job.

Had an issue with our ceiling lights upstairs not working.. Called RMD electrical services and they got us booked in ASAP . the guys came out and fixed the issue, very reasonable rates , polite, courteous and friendly.. will definitely be using this company again for any electrical problems.. RMD Electrical & Renewable dismounted the old solar panel system and installed new solar panel system (12 panels plus battery). The work they did was in very short time and very professional manner. Rob and the Team were nothing short of incredible when they installed my solar array (13 Panels) and Battery Storage (Tesla PW3 + DC Expansion). Not only has the installation been a really smooth process, with clear communication throughout, prompt arrival timings and flexible around our plans, but the end product is something I'm extremely happy with. The aftercare from RMD has also been amazing, completing minor collateral damage repairs (the expected odd broken tile) but also checking in on how the system was running, and checking I was still happy with the install. Also took the time to talk me through the equipment, isolators etc. Cable runs were also logical and blended in to the other utilities around my property. By the end of it, they felt like part of the family. Would hire them back for any of my electrical needs in a heartbeat

We chose Rob Derry and RMD Electrical & Renewables without any prior knowledge of the company and their services. They have just completed the installation of our Tesla Powerwall 3 home battery. The installation was completed to a very high standard, at the agreed price, by a team of 3 including Rob Derry. Rob and his team are meticulous in their attention to detail and the cabling is superb. They even washed down outside and vacuumed inside, so everything looked spic and span when they left. I'm not expecting any issues but if any arise I'm sure Rob will get them sorted. I have no hesitation in recommending RMD Electrical & Renewables.

We had a very out of date fuse box that RMD came out to replace today. They have done a great job and very tidy. They also took the time to rectify an issue we had with another plug socket for us. Very polite and efficient team.

The two Robs (Senior and Junior) of RMD provided and installed our new Solar PV system with a battery and gateway (of our choice), that enables us to save/use/or export energy to the grid. They were the best priced installers for our desired solar PV and Battery set-up, and did a very reasonable job. I couldn’t recommend this local family business highly enough. Rob and his dad really do care about their customers and the work they do. I found them to be friendly, professional, honest and most of all reliable! They turned up exactly when they said they would and fitted two new outdoor lights, replaced a bathroom switch and our bathroom extractor fan.

RMD Electrical fitted my EV charging point. They were incredibly helpful in getting government paperwork filled in to apply for grants, despite the company I work for being very unhelpful, lesser companies would have given up in wanting our business, this made sure I got the best price for the EV point. The install went really well, it's in the best position and is a neat and tidy job. The team were friendly and helpful though-out the build day and made sure I was happy with the kit that had been installed. I have had no issues with the installed EV point but I'm very confident if I had that after sales support would be top notch. I would definitely look to use Rob and the team in the future.
