I had an issue with my EV charger. There was a problem with the voltage to the unit but after a quick diagnosis the cable was not only faulty. It was incorrectly laid in the first place. This was swiftly and professionally resolved.

Very happy that I chose Charles to come and have a look at the electrics in our house. We could smell burning coming from the fuse that was connected to the electricity meter, which he sorted straight away, despite having to source the parts needed and go and get them. He also found and fixed some extremely serious faults that were present immediately. He was very honest and informative about the faults that occurred and provided advice for what needed to do done to sort them out. I will be using Charles again and would fully recommend him!

Hi All, I would just like to say thank you to CBS, for comming round and sorting out my power cut today. The chap was friendly, effichant, speedy. This was the 27th December and I was losing hope of getting the power back on, but after an initail assessment, he came round and completed the work. Excellently priced, perfect :)

Charles came out on short notice to work out what was causing one of the circuits in my house to trip. He arrived when he said he would, spent a few hours working out what the issue was and put it right for a fair price. Avoid this company- Highly unprofessional and a borderline scam. Had a broken radiator, called CBS electrical, they charged £130 just to tell me the radiator was broken (we already knew this). Despite paying as soon as I received the invoice, my tenants were sent an unprofessional message claiming I hadn't paid.

Wonderful! Emergency call out first thing this morning. Arrived in an hour, sorted my issue and took the time to explain what had happened. Very kind and reassuring and excellent value for money. Would use again

I’d give 6 stars if I could! Charles was brilliant, we booked him to come and do an electrical safety report on our new house. He came the next working day after our booking, other companies had been putting us off for months. He was extremely friendly, and really clear - explaining the process of the safety report and what was included nice and simply for me who didn’t have much of a clue! He quickly found there was a problem with the earth cable coming into our house and got Scottish Power to our property within an hour who quickly fixed the problem. Charles then replaced the earth cable for us on the spot and free of charge. This was outside of what we had booked and was such a relief. He carefully went through our home and uncovered all of the problems while explaining to us clearly what each part of the report/reading/score meant and how it should be fixed. His visit was reasonably priced and gave us so much peace of mind, and Charles definitely went above and beyond!

Also, he guided us on video call for which he did not charge anything. We were without electricity on Christmas day and he came out and helped us and saved our Christmas. Thank you so much Charles.

Thought the main fuse had blown but spoke on the phone with Charles who talked me through the issue via FaceTime, I was being dumb and he fixed the issue in seconds few at no charge, when I need some work doing I know who to call now and would highly recommend such an honest and helpful person. Second time in using CBS and once again excellect service. Charles is able to identify issues quickly, takes you through exactly what the problem is and how your specific systems should work and the remediation needed. He was able to fix our electric fault today in under an hour which included popping out to get a part. Very friendly and tells some great jokes! Our go to if any electrical issues in our house. Excellent service, came out same day to The Quarter in Chester to fix tripped electrics in whole flat. Quickly found fault and gave recommendations, all resolved within the hour at a good price. Would definitely recommend.

I contacted Charles about getting an EICR report done for a house purchase and he was able to book me in that same week. He was absolutely brilliant at responding to any queries and sent the report over the same day as the inspection which was ideal for my tight deadline. The report itself was thorough and photos of the issues noted in the report were also taken. Charlie came to the aid of my parents when all their upstairs lights suddenly went off. It was a difficult job finding an electrical fault in an old house. Arrived early to appointment for domestic inspection. Efficient and diligent inspection. Resolved an issue ‘there and then’ - could’ve spun me a line about needing an ‘expensive thingummyjig’. I chose CBS above several online Chester based Electrical Contractors since we urgently needed an EV home charging point fitted. His ratings attracted my attention. Despite the COVID-19 situation, Charles was timely, cost-effective and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble, the installation process was fully explained and the cost was what we had budgeted for since we had to have a new consumer unit fitted inside the garage too. All in all, a great job, commissioned by a super efficient electrician who certainly knows his stuff. Happy to recommend.

CBS quickly diagnosed a cable fault and then ran a new underground cable between my house and the detached garage. I was rather dreading the upset, as the cable had to navigate brick walls, garden paths and flower beds. Charles Stewart worked quickly and did a very neat job with minimum disturbance. As a retired Chartered Electrical Engineer, I sought out Charles to do the Periodic Inspection on our village hall by reading the reviews of others, and I am delighted to say they were spot on in their opinion of CBS. He arrived on time to an unoccupied address, checking carefully beforehand about the job and location (excellent comms and adherence to plan). I was impressed by his thoroughness and clear explanations of what he was trying to achieve. During the inspection, several problems were identified and CBS provided a decent quote for the remedial work within a few days of the inspection. It is hugely helpful that there were no long delays between the first call and getting all the inspection defects put right, and all at a very reasonable cost. Our previous electrician who did the hall inspections had retired, so we have a good history of what the job should cost and time it should take. CBS was well within our expectations. I was very impressed by his service and I have had CBS back for another job and received the same personal attention, promptness, clear explanations, competent work and reasonable charges. Not just a one off! Can highly recommend CBS Electrical Services and would definiely come back to them for our next Periodic Inspection.

We were delighted with the service we received from CBS. Quality and attention to detail were first class. Two visits were made to our new house to carry out a detailed survey of what was needed. CBS installed a new fuse board and wiring to our kitchen. Because of the thorough approach and the helpful explanations provided by CBS during the installation we now have a very high level of confidence in the electrical systems in our house. CBS also made some very helpful suggestions to improve the energy efficiency and safety of our house (things that can be done ourselves and since implemented). We booked CBS Electrical to come to our property to carry out an NICEIC Domestic Condition report and to replace a broken bathroom light. We were very pleased with the service we received from this company. Charles was bang on time and incredibly thorough. He spotted a big problem straight away and instead of leaving me to fix it (as it could only be corrected by the energy supplier) he took charge and had Scottish Power out to sort it within the hour! Charles was very verbal and took the time to explain every step of the process, which was very much appreciated. There was also a few extra jobs that arose throughout his time at the property and he was swift to fix them as well. We would highly recommend CBS Electrical, and would certainly hire them again.
