Found James and his Polaris company via Facebook - local, and had good reviews. Wasn't disappointed - service and work was to a very high standard, and communication was great throughout. Felt no pressure during the quotation stage, and was easily approachable and able to answer my many questions. Highly recommend - would use again.

Brilliant install by James and his colleague. They had everything done and dusted in just over an hour. Easy to use the app, happy with everything so far.

Great service from start to finish, friendly and professional. After initial contact, James was very responsive providing a quote and booking us in. He and Isaac completed the installation, keeping everything tidy and creating minimal disruption. James finished off by helping us to set up the apps and explain various features. Highly recommend.

Very easy to deal with. EV charger fitted on date as planned and all works fine. Clean and tidy.

Excellent service and first rate advice on the installation of our solar batteries. Work carried out efficiently with plenty of detailed advice and support as to how to monitor our system

I contacted James to fit my new EV charger because I’d worked with him previously in business and knew he was a highly skilled electrical engineer. He didn’t disappoint. His expert understanding of chargers and solar integration made the whole process smooth and efficient. Excellent workmanship and someone you can trust to get it right. The installation was done to a very high standard. Reliable, skilled, and genuinely great to work with.

Superb experience with James from the initial contact through to installation today of our new EV charger. Unlike two local companies I contacted he responded to my enquiry within 24 hours, he supplied a very comprehensive and competitive quote and the job was completed within 14 days. I would not hesitate to recommend him.

A very professional and quality installation with all relevant certificates supplied. Highly recommended.

Working with James to do the installation on my house was a pleasure. He took the time to answer all of my questions very comprehensively beforehand, provided extra detail when he didn't have it to hand and helped me reached the best future-proof solution. The installation itself went well - both James and his contractors turned up when they said they would and did a good job with any difficulties being resolved at the time. The electrical work needed on the house was also completed to a higher standard that what was in place originally. Cost for the system was consistent with much larger firms, but the company being local means that it's easier to get ad-hoc queries answered now the system is up and working. Overall a very professional job completed by local guys to a high standard.

Many thanks James and Isaac for a great job done, I’m highly delighted with the home charger , very professional and extremely helpful, you made an awkward job very straightforward ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Just had an EV charger fitted by James and his team. Really professional and knowledgeable. Did a very tidy job. Would recommend!

Polaris Energy Solutions fitted a new solar battery storage system for us, their quote was very thorough and James explained all the options so we could make an informed decision on the system. James and Isaac did a fantastic job on the install, arriving when they said they would, leaving no mess after the job was completed – a very tidy job! We will definitely use Polaris Energy Solutions again and would highly recommend James and his team.

Thank you, Polaris - you were efficient, reliable, knowledgeable and excellent communicators. Fabulous . We'd recommend without hesitation.

Following a previous piece of work to add car charger to our house we brought Polaris back to install Solar and a house battery. Polaris arranged all the trades - scaffolding and roofers to complete the install before working to install the battery pack and commission the system.. The work has been completed meticulously always working cleanly and tidily. This included moving the fusebox slightly to allow the understair cupboard door to open properly - a lovely attention to detail. Everything has been tested, with full building control certificates and safety tests. All work completed on the agreed days, and to the quoted price.

Fantastic service. Genuinely helpful all way through choosing which product to installation. Highly recommended!

The whole process was seamless James gave full explanations from start to finish ensuring we fully understood what was happening and the timings. The teams turned up exactly as the schedule and work ethics of all the different trades were commendable all very polite, tidy and kept us informed. We had the scaffold team followed by the roofing team, then the connections team. James was overseeing all works keeping us up to date. Great care and diligence fitting the system in scorching temperatures did not stop them completing the work to the highest standards. I cannot recommend this team enough absolutely brilliant, we are fully operational now and love the benefits we are seeing.

Great work carried out. Worked very hard and was very knowledgeable. Friendly happy, did a super job. Very neat and tidy. Would definitely recommend Polaris Energy !

James was great, explained clearly our options and was very helpful. The install was excellent and explained the workings of the charger and the app very clearly even when I called him for the 3rd to to help with the password given my numpty brain didn’t work to figure this out! Cheers James, see you next time!

Great communications during quote stage. Extremely knowledge about different types and manufacturers of EV chargers. Arrived on the dot at the agreed time. Took plenty of time to discuss exact requirements and positioning. Very courteous when needing access inside our home. The job itself was carried out with minimum fuss and all tidied up in completion. Full demonstration and explanation when completed. Certification arrived by email the next day. I had a Solar issue, these guys came and sorted it and advised me on a few other things. Very knowledgeable and ill definitely be using for anything Solar or electrical in the future.

James was recommended to me by a friend and having seen other "solar experts" who I was not impressed by, it was such a relief to find James who was clearly very knowledgeable, matter of fact and not pushy. He properly assessed the site and our requirements to design a very efficient system that has been working faultlessly from day one. He and Isaac respected our property, caused the least disturbance and it is a very neat installation. I have no hesitation of recommending his company.

Excellent service from James. Contacted Polaris through their website and requested a call back. Call from James the next day to talk through options for our EV charging installation. Clear and helpful advice and delighted with James’s recommendation. Thoroughly professional installation from a thoroughly professional company. Highly recommended.

Outstanding service (solar PV plus battery and EV point). Clearly passionate and knowledgeable about the sector and products. An extremely professional service from quote to completion.

Sought Advice on getting an EV Charger installed, from start to finish brilliant and honest advice, explained everything in detail and helped me come to a decision on best way to go. Turned up on time and cracked on with the Job, taking time to explain everything show me how to use it in detail, set up the device and the app on the phone and again went through everything. Very Very happy with everything , thank you Polaris Energy Solutions

James has recently installed an EV charger at our property. He was really helpful beforehand when giving guidance about the location of the charger, and gave us various options of unit to choose from. When I mentioned I'd seen one online that I liked the look of, he immediately looked into it for me and became an approved installer of that particular make so that I could go for this unit. On installation day, the team arrived nice and early and had completed the job sooner than I expected. The whole order and installation process was straightforward and smooth running, and they more than deserve a five star rating! I would recommend Polaris to anyone :-)

Fanatastic communication from James throughout, from quote to installation, the process has been hassle free. I had a slightly awkward area to get the wire to, but now this has been professionally installed and I am extremely pleased. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Excellent install of a home car charging unit. Tom was friendly, professional and installed the unit to a high standard. Highly recommended

Great service from Polaris, neat, careful and really professional - Tom was fab - thank you. We would highly recommend.

I was very happy with the work that Polaris Energy Solutions did for us last week. We had been having trouble finding anyone to do the ten-yearly check on our solar panels: prior to speaking with Polaris, the only quote that we had received was several thousands just to inspect them. Because Polaris does both solar panels and domestic electrical work, they were able to do a lot more besides check our panels. They repaired a socket, did a full inspection of the house and corrected all of the faults which meant that they were able to provide us with a new EICR certificate, all for less than the only other quote we had received. Very thorough electrician who just got on with the work.

Great service from James at Polaris. he has done a fantastic job fitting our car charger at a great price. If you need a car charger this is the company you need.

Excellent installation, helpful and friendly.

I asked Polaris to install a combination solar panel/EESS battery system at my home, stressing the importance of good-quality kit. They listened, and provided exactly what I wanted! Everything was well-planned, with an initial visit to scope out the best method of proceeding being made. I especially appreciated this proactive pre-planning approach as I share it myself. The guys are pleasant and polite and respectful of property, and I couldn't be happier with the installation. I would recommend Polaris without hesitation

James (and Tom) were very professional, polite and friendly. Great communication throughout the whole process. Answered all questions and talked through the many options available without feeling pressured into anything, which meant I was 100% sure the choices made were perfect for what I needed. Would highly recommend without any hesitation. Thanks

James was excellent throughout the whole process of getting an EV charger fitted. At enquiry stage he was really helpful & answered all of my questions - which helped me to choose the right charger for us. Fitting day was really smooth. James is friendly & just quietly & efficiently gets on with the job. Really happy with the charger & would definitely use Polaris again.

Excellent service from James, everything from the initial response to my inquiry through to installation was engaging, professional and high quality. Really easy to work with and did a great job, really thought about the problem and solved it in the right way instead of just doing a quick and simple hack. Will definitely be using Polaris again for other work.

Tom was professional, punctual and did a brilliant job. Thank you

I recently had a new Battery storage system installed in my home, which included the installation of batteries inverter and connection to my existing Solar panels. I am very pleased with the experience I had and the end result of the project. The installation process was seamless and efficient, with the installation team completing the work within the agreed-upon timeframe. The team was knowledgeable and professional, taking the time to explain the process and answer any questions I had. They also took great care to ensure that the installation was done properly, without causing any damage to my property. The batteries and inverter have been working flawlessly since the installation, and I have noticed a significant decrease in my monthly energy bills. The system has exceeded my expectations in terms of its performance and reliability. I love being able to rely on my own energy source, rather than relying on the grid, and I feel good knowing that I am making a positive impact on the environment. Overall, I would highly recommend this installation to anyone who is looking to upgrade their energy system. The team at Polaris Energy Solutions provided a top-notch service, and I couldn't be happier with the end result. Thank you for making my home more energy-efficient and sustainable!

I had the pleasure of using the services of Polaris Energy Solutions last week to install my EV charger. The owner, James, dealt with my enquiry from start to finish. He came out to the property to survey, followed this up with a quote and then came out to do the installation himself. The work was done without fault to a very high standard, very tidy job and kept me informed on progress. I would recommend his company without any hesitation - first rate job. Nick

From my very first conversation with James about my EV charger installation, I knew I was in good hands. He offered excellent advice and demonstrated an exceptionally high technical awareness of what needed to be done. James was very efficient at providing a cost competitive quote for the installation, which included some ground works to run the cable from the charger to the house. I had excellent communication with James and he is very knowledgeable on all aspects of EV charger installation, charger manufacturers, legal requirements and equipment. On the date agreed in advance for installation, James and Tom arrived promptly and on time. They were very friendly and professional and carried out the work flawlessly, making sure everything was working perfectly before tidying up carefully and making sure I was happy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Polaris for EV charging work and installation. I can’t imagine anyone doing a better job. Highly recommended.

Did a great job, turned up when they said they would and just got on and did the job no messing about.will definately be using again.

Great job, fast efficient, clean and tidy. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

Great job from Tom and his colleague. Helpful, friendly and punctual - even in the snow! Really pleased with the job done, would definitely recommend Polaris and use them again in future.

Having bought a plug in hybrid car we were keen to have an EV charger installed and also be able to claim the £350 government grant, only available until the end of March. Having contacted Polaris Energy Solutions they were able to promptly provide a quotation and date to install the charger . We were able to discuss the process with the friendly and knowledgeable electrician and the work was carried out smoothly and efficiently. Our only caveat to this excellent service is that we also needed to upgrade our home main fuse which has required an application the Northern Powergrid and and a further cost of £143.

Swift, professional, and knowledgable. Excellent service - would highly recommend

Excellent communication throughout, prompt delivery of quote and easy to accept and pay with it all been online. Tom arrived on time and did an amazing job, absolute perfectionist and followed up all the work with full guidance on how to use the new charger. Couldn’t recommend highly enough. Thank you

James obviously knows his stuff, came over to quote and gave advice on which charger would best suit the car, building, installation and cabling constraints we had. Turned up on time and as expected and sought to solve some problems on the way even though these were not of Polaris' doing. Extra credit for coming back over a weekend to complete the job. Very much appreciated!

Professional, efficient and knowledgeable. Left us knowing what we needed to and with a very tidy job!! Fitted a Zappi untethered and also gave some helpful advice on solar panels.

We've just had a Project EV 7kW charger installed by James @ Polaris and I have to say the service from start to finish was superb and we're delighted with the finished product. Ours was an upgrade from a 3.2kW charger installed 4 years ago and we'd already received a couple of quotes from nationwide installation companies before seeing some positive reviews about Polaris. James' offer wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive but I reckon overall we have got the best value for money and I'm so glad we chose a fully qualified, local company. I'd recommend Polaris to anyone who needs a new home charging unit as you'll be in safe hands.
