Had a major issue with changing a socket, normally a simple job for me unfortunately the socket was wired independently of the main fuse board, the joys of an old house. The wires touched and there I was in a heap of trouble. I contacted CRF explained the situation and within 30 minutes I had an electrician who assessed the issue and knew exactly what had gone wrong. He resolved the issue replaced fuses took time to explain why the problem had occurred. And made everything safe and serviceable. I highly recommend CRF as they were quick to respond and very reasonably priced for an emergency call out. I personally can't thank them enough
Can’t recommend Carl enough, selling a house and needed an EICR doing for the sale, rang Carl, he picked the keys up from Agents, gave me a quote within the hour, he took the keys back, arranged the date for the job to be done, picked the keys up again, did the most amazing job, the electrics very old and dangerous, repaired/ replaced everything that needed doing!! Sent me an email with new EICR!! Carl has done many jobs for us and my immediate family, wouldn’t use anyone else!!!👍👍

I’ve had work done by Carl three times in the last month or so and his workmanship and reliability are superb. He fixed a faulty plug socket for my new washing machine and literally attended within an hour of me calling. Since then he has fitted me a new fuse box and smoke detectors. Today he has installed new lights in the kitchen and outside the front door and disconnected some electrical equipment for me. He makes every effort to attend as soon as he can and is great at explaining what he is doing and offers advice. My go to electrician from now on, very highly recommended 😎

Asked for an EICR report and the cost was 100 which is good value compared to other quotes I had. He was very prompt in arranging a visit and, upon identifying some issues that needed fixing in order to get a satisfactory eicr, arranged to do the work 2 days later. Showed up on the day and very promptly and had the work done no hassle (i cant comment on how much the work cost tho as this was handled by the property owner; I'm in the process of purchasing). Then promptly sent the report which looks fine. Very happy with the service and would highly recommend!
Carl did an EICR test report for me - chosen because he’s fully registered to do so. He provided a very prompt service and at a really fair price. Initially called out to diagnose a fault on lighting circuit, we were so happy we asked Carl back to take down 4Nr ceiling fan light units and move 2 Nr sockets needed as part of a refurb. Called Carl regarding a mains switch on our electricity after we had a power outage the other night, and the mains switch had fused on, although we had no power. Sent him a pic of the box, and he got the replacement switch in hand. Really was excellent service all round. He kept in contact through the day as we had to wait for Scottish power to sort the power supply, and he was round 30 minutes later. Highly professional and put our minds at ease due to what we'd been told about the mains switch crackling and apparently could have caused a fire. Replaced within 15 minutes. We will most definitely be recommending to others and will use him again in the future.

Carl arrived promptly, removed a section of dado trunking with surplus sockets on in small spare bedroom, fitted a new double socket and relocated the phone and broadband points to further along the wall. Labour: one hour. Materials: a double socket. Bill £450. When I agreed the price, I did not know the job would take only an hour. Labour seems to be over £400/hour.
Carl came out to fit and extractor fan in our bathroom and also renew our fuse board as it was in poor condition and very out of date, already have him booked in for some more electrical work. Would recommend to people!

Used Carl last year for a new RCB and certificates amongst a couple of other bits. I was pleased. Price was at the top end for a job like that but not unreasonable. I decided I'd go back to him for an emergency job a few days ago. He came out on new years eve. Not an easy job and my boiler was out as a result. I genuinely think if he had to he'd have stayed til midnight! Fortunately he found the problem and fixed it with plenty of time for new year celebrations. The price was very fair given there were two of them an they were here nearly 3 hours. Reckon he'll be my go to from now on.
