AG Electrical - Electrical Installation and Testing

Andy responded to my request quickly, traced the fault to the garage consumer unit feeding to the summer house and got the power back in less than 5 minutes. He explained the situation patiently and only charged £20 instead of the full call out £80 as it is a strightforward fix. I know I have found a trustful and helpful local electrician who I can rely upon.

Andy is always reliable, a tidy worker and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend him

Andy was recommended to me by a friend who lives in Billericay. I found him to be very professional, knowledgeable, and skilled at his work, while also charging a reasonable price. I chose him partly because he is local, which was very convenient. I will definitely contact Andy again whenever I need his help, and I would happily recommend him to my friends and family.

I needed an electrician to come and check over the electrics following some fire damage. Andy was fantastic, very kind and professional throughout, explained everything that he was doing and at a very fair price. After such a shock, I really appreciated Andy’s patience and professional demeanour and enabling us to safely turn on the power again to our home.

Messaged early on a Saturday due to a tripped fuse, was guided by WhatsApp on how to diagnose and found a problem with the laptop charger. Brilliant and very friendly service!

I called Andy at AG Electrical to quote on a couple of electrical issues within the garden area. Andy came out promptly and accessed and explained what would be done and gave a very reasonable quote. A few days later the job was completed to a high standard and a report sent to us with regards to the completed work and a couple of issues that would need to be addressed. All in all this was a highly professional and prompt experience and would recommend Andy at AG Electrical.

Andy came to find a fault after we were unable to get any power to our boiler. He was friendly, professional and fixed the issue quickly. Great communication beforehand regarding timings as this was a call-out. Definitely will contact him again next time I need an electrician. Thanks Andy! Edit - a year later I asked Andy to come and quote for replacing spotlights in the living room. He convinced us not to swap them for pendants but to change the bulbs to warm white and changes our switches to a dimmer. We are thrilled with the work he did, and it also saved us skimming/replastering the ceiling!

Glad to recommend Andy, friendly and efficient and will definitely use again.

Couldn’t recommend Andy more! He dug me out of a bit of a hole having be left halfway finished by another electrician. Not only did he dedicate time to get the job done quickly, but the professional finish is so noticeable, and he kept me up to date throughout with progress videos. When we came upon a small issue, he explained it all in basic terms so I understood what was needed! He is also incredibly tidy!! An extra touch was helping me finalised an order for the plugs and light fittings I needed - which can be a minefield if you don’t know what you are looking at! Thank you so much Andy!

Excellent Service! Very professional and reliable electrician. Arrived on time, and did a clean job. Highly recommend!

Can't rate Andy highly enough. Carried out an EICR on a property I am purchasing -- aside from the detailed report, he also provided a video walkthrough to cover the main points and to explain what could be done to rectify certain problems.

Andy came and had a look at our electrics on a property we just purchased to see what condition they were in and he recommended we have our lighting rewired as they were old and had no earthing. Andy did a great job with our rewire and also fitting drop lights in room that will be kitchen/diner and the utility as well as a garden spot light. Andy is easy to talk to and explains everything he is doing and breaks it down to you so you understand if you are not familiar with electrical terms. Mr Andy Goldsmith has carried out work in my home on several occasions recently, installing electrical equipment, kitchen hob, extractor fan and lighting and rectifying faults in the wiring and safety systems. I was impressed by his professionalism: courtesy, reliable time keeping and his patience and willingness to discuss problems. I was very satisfied with his workmanship and impressed by his straight forward and reasonable costing. As said he has helped me in several occasions and I would have no hesitation in asking him again when the occasion arises.

We’ve used Andy at AG twice now. First to chase out and to add and extend two sockets. Then again to sort out power to our outdoor space. Whilst there he also diagnosed and offered solutions to outdoor lighting that had failed in both the back garden and the driveway. We would recommend his services and will use him again when required.

Superb service yet again, knowledgeable, on time, and safe.

Andy was very responsive and came to provide a free estimate within a couple of days of first contact. We needed 3 new double sockets installed, 3 sockets converted from single to double and a new Ethernet socket. The quote was provided electronically and it broke down all the work into projects. The price was reasonable and we accepted the quote all online which made the process very easy. The job had to be done before scheduled plastering. Fortunately Andy was able to fit in the work within a week of us accepting the quote. On the day of work he arrived on time. Throughout the job he worked quietly and efficiently even tidying up at the end of the day. The invoice for his work was sent online again upon completion. All very efficiently and professionally done. I would recommend his work and would definitely use him again.

I used AG initially for a few light switch changes, and ended up hiring Andy to then fit 20 ceiling lights, and chop in 6 new plugs, as well as a whole host of outdoor work! The reason being, on that first smaller job, Andy did an excellent job, and was super tidy, but also went out of his way to fix a couple of other things he has spotted that were quite dangaerous off his own back. He then gave me some great ideas for the other work, without being pushy. It's just a really trustworthy, diligent service, and couldn't recommend them highly enough.
