Caldwell Paving Services is praised for quick, tidy driveway, block paving, tarmac, patio and garden renovation work, with friendly, hardworking teams and clear communication from quotation to completion. Customers often mention competitive prices, helpful design advice and impressive transformations, while a small number of reviews raise serious concerns about workmanship, follow-up and payment demands, so care with project arrangements is advisable.
⭐⭐⭐⭐ Overall, I’m really pleased with the garden renovation completed by Caldwell Paving Services. The team was friendly, professional, and worked hard throughout the project. The quality of the finished work is good, and my garden has been transformed. There were a couple of small issues along the way, but they were dealt with professionally and didn't take away from the overall result. Communication was good, and the team made sure I was happy with the finished job. I’d happily recommend Caldwell Paving Services to anyone looking for reliable paving and garden renovation work.
Be extremely cautious when considering this company. While the work was completed within a reasonable timeframe, it was done incorrectly despite the contractors having the correct dimensions available from the outset. As they were late starting the job, I was working abroad when the work was completed. However, the owner demanded immediate full payment without me having had the opportunity to inspect the finished job. Fortunately, I stood my ground and waited until I returned a few days later, at which point I discovered the dimensions were wrong. Despite this, he continued to demand full payment and simply promised to return to rectify the issue. I declined and requested the work be corrected first. They eventually returned and moved a post to address the problem, after which he once again demanded immediate payment. As I was still working abroad, I explained that I would inspect the rectified work and make payment upon my return. His response was to threaten to come back immediately and rip out everything they had installed if I did not pay straight away. During the quotation process, this individual was friendly, professional, and easy to deal with. Unfortunately, once the job was complete, his attitude changed dramatically. What began as a pleasant customer experience quickly became one characterised by unreasonable demands, aggressive behaviour, and a complete disregard for my concerns as a customer. Based on my experience, I would not use this company again and would advise others to proceed with caution.
We had our driveway carried out by miles and he's team who have done such a brilliant job 👏 they were all a very efficient, polite, sociable and hard working team from start to finish. I would highly recommend Miles and he's team. 👌
Excellent service and quickly and efficiently done. Miles easy to get along with and employees very polite and main one fantastic and so eager to please . Would definitely recommend them
Have recently had my driveway completed. Excellent company, hard working and competitive prices. Would 100% recommend!!
“Very professional, quick and efficient service. Miles and the team were excellent throughout. Highly recommended.
Miles and the whole team were great, they got on with the work super efficiently, tided up after each day and were really considerate throughout the job. They have given a 7 year warranty which makes us really confident on their work and communicated super well throughout the process so we knew when and what to expect. Would highly recommend!
New tarmac roadway done. Great job by Miles and the team. Very happy. Great price. No dramas
We had miles out to quote up our drive last Saturday was very happy with the quote so went ahead was told any time up to 4 weeks to get us book in but miles got us in with in 5days and only took him and his team 2 days to complete the job both me and my parter r over the moon with how it came out couldn’t recommend these guys enough cheers again gents
After calling Caldwell paving about having our driveway done, Miles came round same day to give a great quote. Work being carried out the following week with his great team of guys all polite & friendly as well as carrying out a great job on our drive, very pleased. Thankyou
I needed my driveway done and found Caldwell through Google. When I called to enquire Miles came to visit the same day, quoted a competitive price and said they would do the job within 3 weeks which would take about 3 days. In fact Miles and team were back in 10 days and the job was finished within 2 days. The guys didn’t stop working the whole time they were here and left no mess whatsoever. Neither did we have to part with any money until the job was completed and to our satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company, they are very reliable and professional, a rare commodity these days, and I will certainly be getting them in again should I require any work in the future.
Recommend these guys highly...From Miles who was very professional and courteous. To the workforce turned up on time, worked right through, cleaned up after themselves. Took a lot of pride in their work. And fast...Just what you need in building work. EXTREMLY pleased with my drive, and believe me I am hard to please! Thankyou guys.
had my drive way done absolutely love it miles and his team were very good ,it didn’t take long for them to complete it either .i would be very happy to send other people to them
Miles was great sorting out our new drive, his team was polite and done a fantastic job start to finish. Highly recommended.
Miles and his team were on time, working all day until our block paved driveway was finished. We are very pleased as it looks superb. They cleaned up and swept down before leaving too. Proper job well done! Recommended.
There’s only one thing to say a massive thank you and a fantastic job and so accommodating even though I changed the design at the last minute Patrick and his team was accommodating and so professional a massive thank you again
Very good from start to finish The team were excellent hard working and completed the job perfectly I would highly recommend Miles and his team
Just had our driveway done by miles and his team what a transformation they have made very impressed with the work carried out by everyone would definitely recommend Caldwell paving services if your looking for a new drive thank you all very much all your hard work is much appreciated
Unfortunately, 1* is the lowest I could give. This company's reviews are mostly fake. In the process of fitting a neighbours fence they cut through the ajoining brick pillar and left my half loose and dangerous. Billy The Kid would have done a better job. Promised to come back and sort out the damage weeks ago. Total no show & no further communication. Don't waste your time or your money. Don't fall for it.
Im so pleased I went with Caldwell Paving Services. After being completely over quoted by many, let down or treated very poorly with other local contractors, I came across Miles, honest, respectful and reliable. The team arrived exactly when stated, worked extremely hard and completely transformed, and finished my drive within the day 🤩 nothing was a bother, even the little things. Blown away! Looks amazing, and very happy!. Thank you so much!. I would 1000% recommend these guys and this company without hesitation 😊.
Well- what can I say? This company have exceeded my expectations in every way! The workers are polite and respectful as well as masters of paving. The attention to detail has been mind blowing and their skill is outstanding. I would definitely have them back again- in fact- they are now my go to company- great prices and sheer excellence in paving and probably all other work they do. Thank you so much and will recommend them to the skies.
Fantastic service from start to finish!!! Owner visited, good customer service, great on price!! Transformed our driveway!! Highly recommend!!
Very friendly quick service - fairly priced too
Fantastic service and a great job. They came when they said they would. Miles kept in contact throughout and had some suggestions for us that really worked. We highly recommend them.
Such great service, staff so friendly. After years I’ve finally managed to make a dream come true and it turned out better than I even expected in such short period of time. Thankyou so so much will definitely recommend to all friends and family
The guys worked really fast, I have a big driveway and needed full work done, job completed with satisfaction. I would definitely advise people to go with this company
We have had excellent service from Miles and his team. The workmanship just looks fabulous and has finished off our house.
I had at least 5 quotes from other companies and they were astronomical. Contacted Caldwell paving and got a much better price. Miles arrived ready to get started. The team were efficient and tidy, they advised what would work best and were finished in a day! Worked really hard and the finish is great. The 7 year warranty is reassuring though I hope I won't need it as the job has been done well.
Done an amazing job in the front and part of the back garden, very professional, very friendly, prices are very good and great value for money. Big Big thank you to Tommy amd his team Would recommend Caldwell Paving Services.
Had a guy turn up at my door touting for paving work. I asked him to quote me for a driveway, replacing the old one. He quoted me a really good price so I accepted it. He and his guys started the next week, Monday, 60+Square meters. I was amazed how fast they were, it looks great. My own trade is paving/groundwork but after almost 30 years of doing it myself, I gave it up, I don't enjoy it anymore. Happy to say 'I'm really glad' he knocked on my door. I would/will recommend him and his workers to anyone.
Fast and professional. They did a lovely job
Just had my driveway done by Caldwell Paving Services, they done a fantastic job, listened to what I wanted and delivered exactly that, the service from start to finish was top tier, if you have any questions Miles is always on hand to answer them. They also give you a 7 year warranty with the work the carry out. Massive thank you to Miles & his team. Anyone looking to get their driveway / garden done, this is the company to go with.
Sorted out our new driveway in a few days, very friendly hard working guys who did an amazing Job, would highly recommend and would definitely use again. Thanks guys.
Really pleased with the job - very quick to come out and quote, finished the job in under a day, brought samples so I could choose my preferred colour in person and were very considerate of my neighbours when using the shared access. The team was very polite, left everything spotless and was kind enough to fix down a few loose blocks elsewhere in the garden at no additional charge. Would very much recommend.

Where to start because there is so much I want to write. First of all, thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my driveway look better than I dreamed or imagined! The work was carried out very reliably, professionally and confidently from beginning to end, i.e. from valuation to completion. Much appreciated!
Terrible customer service. I can't recommend for friends.
Highly recommended for the great professional service. Miles was on site to supervise the entire 3 day job. We needed to extend out driveway to create additional parking. Miles suggested that we also re-coat the existing driveway so the new and old asphalt driveway matched. We are very pleased with the end result .
Excellent service from the whole team, communication before the job was clear and concise, the team arrived as planned and completed my driveway within 2 days.
