I honestly thought my dress was ruined after wearing it to a wedding, but the team did an amazing job and got it looking like new again. Everyone in the shop is so friendly and helpful, which makes the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be using them again and would happily recommend them to anyone looking for a great dry cleaner.
Took my green chord suit in which was very stained and in a bad way. I picked it up looking brand new, stains completely gone. 100% recommend this place, great friendly service by the man in there also.

I can’t recommend Island dry cleaners highly enough. I recently took in an expensive silk dress with some very stubborn stains that I honestly wasn’t sure could be removed. Imran went above and beyond, even cleaning the dress twice to make sure every mark had gone. He kept me updated throughout via WhatsApp and results are incredible, the dress looks as good as new. The level of care and attention to detail was outstanding. I’ll definitely be using them again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, trustworthy dry cleaner.

Excellent service and customer service! I went there to clean my mother's old wedding dress and they carefully cleaned it, removing some 30+ year old stains. They were very kind and let me bring my dress back after it was altered to get it steamed and pressed. They also altered my husband's trousers with a very quick turn around.
Absolutely fabulous service! They managed to fix my bag (my cat had an accident) and completely transform a very (shamefully) mouldy coat. They keep me in the loop about the progress of my items and fixed them to a perfect quality. Would 100% recommend!!!

I had a ball gown style dress and a suit jacket I needed done and ironed and both came out looking fantastic! I looked at other options in Colchester but others didn’t get back to me or were overpriced. Yet Island Dry Cleaners answered all my questions on the phone and delivered on their promises! I would highly recommend :).
Took my jacket in. To be dry cleaned, I asked, if they would be able to remove marks that were around the cuff, and on the front each side of the zip. The gentleman said, that he couldn't guarantee he would be able to totally remove them, I asked 50% chance ? He said better than that. When I picked the jacket up 3 days later, frankly I was amazed, they had totally removed the marks and my jacket looks like new again. I would like to thank them for their initial honesty, re the marks and the amazing job they done, plus the reasonsble price. They obviously pride themselves on their work. Will definitely return when I need things dry cleaned.

My mum recently took my wedding dress here the day after my wedding to be cleaned. Island Dry Cleaners did a fantastic job at getting the black dirt and fake tan stains out of my dress. They also sewed the cups back into my dress which had partially come off, which we didn't ask for and was really appreciated. Just over a week ago I brought in a rather expensive pair of Chinos on which a belt, it too rather expensive, which I had not used for some time, had left a band of black, sticky stains. A most courteous staff member looked at it, urged me never to use the belt again (I discarded it promptly), assured me that the shop would do the best it could, but could not promise pristine results. A week later I returned to retrieve the pair of trousers, and found the stains completely gone. Marvellous!

On one occasion, when I was running late, I contacted them to inquire if they could kindly accommodate my delayed arrival, as I urgently required my dress for an upcoming trip. Amazing Professional service. I brought a pair of wool suit trousers that had shrunk in the wash. Imran was very quick to offer to dry it, then steam to restore its size. Throughout I received updates and was able to try it on. I was offered the option to open up the trouser seams for a better fit and that only took 18 hours! Overall was a very pleasant experience with someone so well honed in their craft. I recently found out that this place did key cutting. I walked in and enquired about the price of getting some keys cut and they were much cheaper than the other places. They were very friendly in there and service was quick. Will definitely come back.

I had my daughter's wedding dress cleaned to absolute perfection. A local dry cleaner to me declined to clean the dress because it had been homemade and didn't have cleaning instructions. I discussed the problem with Island dry cleaners and they told me the risks although I did have information about the fabric. Island dry cleaners were recommended to me and I can totally recommend myself. Very professional and very nice people to deal with. Definitely would use again.

I brought my white stained jacket in on the Thursday and hoped for it to be dry cleaned by Saturday. The boys were concerned as in that little time they would only go over it once and it may still be stained. To my surprise, the coat was cleaned within 24 hours and picked it up looking better than I had paid for. Excellent work! Very much worth it!!

Dry cleaned an evening dress of my wife’s that had a stain, and they got it out - great job! Many dry cleaners come and go in Colchester but Island remain because they are good at what they do.

Not only is their dry cleaning so very beautifully carried out, but they can tackle the most difficult cleaning jobs on very expensive, intricate garments. Needed a specialist dry clean for a puffer coat, Island Dry Cleaners did a perfect job, all tough stains were removed and coat now looks brand new. Highly recommend, affordably priced too!
1st Time Customer, Very Friendly and Most Helpful Service! I took a jacket into be repaired after I tried to repair (unsuccessfully with Gorilla Glue! ) a small tear in my jacket. They were able to repair the tear using a patch I provided, covering the tear and the mess I had made with the glue in such a professional way that you would never know the damage I caused to the jacket trying to repair it myself, was lurking underneath! It now looks as though the patch is part of the jacket from new, due to their excellent repair service. Saved me having to bin my jacket and pay-out for a new one. I would highly recommend them for clothing repairs, they are professional, friendly, fast turn-around and excellent value for money!

Had a brilliant experience with getting my wedding dress cleaned . It was so dirty from both the floor and a drink spilled all over it, the material was delicate too so I thought it had been ruined completely but they went to a lot of effort to recover it carefully and brought it back to its original condition. I was really impressed. They also cleaned suits to a brilliant standard, will certainly be using them more often.

I cannot recommend this place enough. My partner spilt an oil based sauce all over his tracksuit, which I tried to wash (I now know that was a bad move!) I gave the owner a waistcoat with a particularly difficult blemish and (due to personal circumstances) required a pickup on the same day. He explained to me clearly what I could expect and the potentially poor prognosis of my waistcoat. However, he came through with a most desirable outcome. Great service. Took in a jacket that was vintage and in dire need of cleaning. The gentleman that served me was honest, helpful and full explained everything. I was kept updated of what was going on a s it was a specialist job and the garment looked stunning upon collection.
Imran literally saved our lives!! My friend's bridesmaid dress was ruined the night before the wedding as it accidentally got covered in grease marks and looked terrible! We dabbed it with water and it got worse!!! Label said 'do not dry clean' but my friend raced to Island Dry Cleaners the next morning in desperation and Imran worked MIRACLES and in record time. Very professional and friendly dry cleaners. I was very pleased with the end result, my coat looked amazing. My coat had some damp stain patches on it which were removed . Excellent customer service even providing some advice on how to keep my coat free from further stains 10/10
I highly recommend the use of this dry cleaning business! I took my coat there recently and I was very satisfied with the professional result. The owner took extra care with the coat's buttons as to not damage them during the dry cleaning. Also, what I appreciated was that he lets customers know if a particular piece of cloth demands a different kind of handling and he advises them where to go alternatively. Friendly, honest, professional and with great attitude towards customers. If I need dry cleaning again I'll certainly choose him again.

Very friendly and knowledgeable, excellent customer service and good value for money. In the case of an item that couldn't be dry cleaned, they returned it free of charge, but not before attempting to clean it anyway. Would definitely recommend.
Did an absolutely fantastic job on getting a nasty stain out of wool. Came back to me like new.
Put suit in for dry cleaning it's come back with dirt still on the bottom of trouser legs!
I asked them to repair a pocket to my coat, sew on a button and dry clearn it. They I paid for all 3 and they managed to achieve 2 of them. Can't be bothered to complain that they did not sew on a button - annoying!!
