Quite reluctant to give a 1 star as their furniture is actually very good. However customer service and communication is extremely poor when goods arrived damaged like mine did. Quite unsurprising when they arrive in nothing more than bubble wrap. I’ve been promised a part (paltry) refund and some sort of repair kit for weeks and neither have arrived. How a piece of sandpaper is supposed to repair two holes, I’ll never know. Be cautious ordering from here, lovely stuff but zero help if anything goes wrong.
Lovely work, delivered on time and satisfied with the craftsmanship. Would highly recommend working with them and hope I get to again soon!
REVIEW & COMPANY RESPONSE. We bought a dining table. From taking delivery of the table, there was issues with wobble. Company quickly blamed user assembly. (Although very simple to put together). Company then suggested superglue? The wobble became much worse. Later, while in dispute, wood became thwarted. We had an independent assessor who stated wobble dangerous and table needs cross sectioning and not fit for purpose. We stored the table while in dispute and strapped the legs. Company said they had sold lots of that design with no issue. Luckily we paid by our credit card as your more protected with high cost items. I am so glad we did. Our Credit card company refunded total amount. Company absolutely refused to acknowledge blame despite independent assessor. We have now given it away free on facebook with the warning it was dangerous to children as could collapse. Really put us off buying anything but local now. Company response to review. 28/9/25 This review is for the correct company and once again, this highlights how the company typically responds to issues. We were lucky as we had credit card protection and got our money back others might not be so lucky. Please see photo/screenshot of email showing company name and address.

I always like to support local businesses, which is why I chose to buy our 3m outdoor dining table and two benches from The Bespoke Carpentry Co. Sadly I feel I made the wrong decision due to the company's customer care. Communication was very poor, with the company refusing to speak to me direct following questions over miscommunicated delivery times, and then again when the wrong legs were delivered. What stuck out most was the lack of apology or accountability when things went wrong. Small gestures like a simple apology go such a long way with customers. Mistakes are always going to happen (which I completely understand) but there are good and bad ways of handling them. The lack of personal communication, care or just a simple 'I'm so sorry about this. Let's sort this out' would have changed things so dramatically for me. I was just left feeling frustrated. Disappointing experience I'm afraid. REVIEW UPDATE I have just read your reply that you made this evening to the review I left you at the beginning of summer. Im not someone who ever leaves negative feedback, but there really was a lack of customer care from my end. Just so you're aware, I genuinely have received no calls or emails from you trying to reach out to me. I would have received them well. And I can't see the three apologies about our incorrect order you refer to in your response. But thank you for taking the time to respond to this review. That means a lot.
It’s so good to find a piece of furniture that’s different from everywhere else, we were so happy when they confirmed we could have copper legs on our chunky wood coffee table that we’d chosen!, great design and quality. Delivery was really smooth and on time.

I asked The Bespoke Carpentry Company to make me a table and the result was far beyond my expectations. From the start, I spoke with Sean on the phone who took the time to understand what I wanted and explained the options for wood and finishes (something I didn’t know much about). He sent me a few design ideas which made it easy to visualise and decide, and I always felt clear on what I’d be getting. The whole process was enjoyable, the table was delivered on time, and the quality is outstanding. I’d definitely recommend this company and will be going back for my next purchase. This is totally bespoke and not what you would normally see. Paul from Reading, I feel a review is needed when people do the extra mile, I wouldn't normally.
We’ve been very happy with the quality of the pieces we’ve ordered, but unfortunately the customer service experience has been disappointing. On a recent order for an additional bench, they mistakenly used the billing address instead of the delivery address. I only realised too late and it resulted in a failed delivery fee. I’ve now been invoiced an additional £70 for redelivery. While I understand these charges come from the courier, the mistake partly arose on their side. A small goodwill gesture, such as waiving the initial failed delivery fee, would have gone a long way. Instead, the response felt more focused on assigning blame on me.
Simply disgusting. Service horrendous and their attitude stunk!! If you get even the simplest of problems with them, then say goodbye to your money and welcome to their lies

I recently bought a slim whiskey coloured stained farmhouse table with wooden cross legs. My order arrived safely by very friendly delivery men, wrapped to protect and it is just what I asked for. Beautifully made, exactly to my specifications. Absolutely fantastic. Worth every penny. I totally recommend this company. Absolutely love my table and bench. Beautifully made and looks fantastic. There was an issue with the courier not delivering the legs and I can’t emphasise enough how amazing the bespoke carpentry Co were. New legs were delivered the following day with no questions. Incredible service, friendly helpful staff so a massive thank you. If you ever do a bench with a back let me know as I’d definitely order!

Bespoke Carpentry Co designed and delivered the absolute perfect solid wood dining table in time for Christmas for us. The team were amazing with their communication and turnaround, providing a good delivery service and the table legs were incredibly easy to put together. The table itself is built well, sturdy and looks beautiful as the centre piece in our dining room. Will definitely be using them again for solid wood furniture in our home!

We had struggled to find a good quality table for the specific dimensions in our kitchen. The Bespoke Carpentry Co were very easy to deal with and were very responsive to the queries and restrictions around the delivery dates. The couriers they used were also excellent. Table is fabulous, really high quality and fits a treat!
I bought a live edge dining table and am really pleased with it. It is a lovely table, made to measure and excellent quality. The customer service is excellent. No complaints at all, realy happy.
We ordered a custom table from "The Bespoke Carpentry Co" in July 2022. The correspondence with pleasant and efficient and they were able to provide a bespoke large outdoor table to our specification. On arrival we were very impressed by the size and weight of the item as well as the finish. However less that one year on and the "outdoor" table is beginning to show signs of being unable to cope with the elements. Despite being covered of the winter the colour of the table has faded rather quickly, and the wood has developed cracks and some mild distortion. The most frustrating issue is the table legs which have corrosion building under the clear lacquer. This is worst near the ground which is to be partly expected, but it has spots of corrosion all over. It seems the warranty only covers 6 months so we've been advised to deal with the corrosion ourselves with wire wool and a spray can. We will most likely remove the legs and have them shot blasted and powered coated to get a better finish.
Question to ask yourself. Are you willing to be left hundreds if not more out of pocket? I'm sure they have delivered many lovely pieces. However, if like me you get a bad one, expect a barrage of excuses, no accountability and definitely no replacement or refund. 8 weeks after receiving the table I contacted this company to tell them the table was mis shaped on the corners (pic 1) their initial reposne was it was due to the heat and it would return to its normal state. Fair enough can see how that could happen. Left it. A few months later, I got back in touch as the state of the table had gotten progressively worse. (Additional pics) gaps of nearly 1cm between chevron slats, additional corners coming away. This time I was told it was because it was cold and the heating would cause this. So I've purchased an £800 table that can't cope in the heat or the cold apparently. Great for the UK. The seller proceeded to blame me for not treating the table correctly (which I had done 3 times in 6 months) and stood by the quality of their work even adding that if they gave refunds for items that had movement after a few months they'd have no business (reassuring) Also delightfully announced they'd discontinued this range due to 'lack of popularity' strange given my piece is made to order, perhaps because its a shoddy product. Their initial response after two weeks was clearly a delay tactic to buy time for their returns policy timeframe to elapse. Anyway, here I am with a horrible looking table, 800 out of pocket. So before purchasing from this company, ask yourself, does that sound like a situation you'd like to be in?
I found the Bespoke Carpentry Co. through Instagram and instantly saved lots of their posts for inspiration. As soon as I moved house, I knew where I wanted to get my table from. The order process was quick and easy through their website and they were quick to respond through Instagram when I had some questions. The only downside was the delivery company. They were supposed to call to arrange a delivery date but no call came. They turned up out of the blue. Thank god the plasterer was in at the time.. but we had no prior warning of delivery day from the courier.
We bought a table and bench set and we are more than happy with our purchase. The delivery was a little bit later than expected but I suppose with the way things are at the moment I shouldn't be surprised if things don't turn up on time. Having said that I wouldn't hesitate to buy from The Bespoke Carpentry co in future.
