I booked a job for a wall cabinet, had a visit from Marcio (the owner) and a quote, which was accepted. The days when to carry out the job (a couple of months later) were also agreed. As we approached the time of the job I reached out with no answer, had to chase a few times and then i just got a message cancelling the job. Wasted 2 months…

Just used M&O for the third time as they have been excellent on both previous occasions. I needed bespoke wardrobes in my loft bedroom and other cabinet doors changed from plain slab to shaker. The cabinetry was made with utmost precision and everything was painted and finished beautifully. I also really appreciate how much care and consideration they have for your property whilst they are working. I wouldn’t hesitate using them again in the future or recommending them.
We contacted Marcio to build some special shelves and a cupboard front in our house. We needed the shelves specially custom built with in-built grooves to hold vinyl LPs and to fit the space either side of a fireplace. The cupboard front was for our bathroom and needed to fit into a space where the walls were not straight! Marcio and his two assistants did a fantastic job - the shelves are beautiful and we are so pleased with them. The bathroom cupboard door looks very smart as well. We had a fantastic experience with Marcio and his team! It is rare to come across a company that is highly skilled, reliable, and trustworthy. They built and fitted new wardrobes, custom-made 2 alcove bookcases and several shelving units, repaired the staircase and built custom-made under-stairs storage. Moreover, their painter repaired internal walls and painted the entire house, he did an amazing job as well. I'm so glad we went for this company - they are perfectionists and their work is done to a very high standard. What I really appreciate is that they go above and beyond and communicate with you throughout the process: They send photos with updates, they ask questions to make sure they do the job exactly how you want it to be done, and they are thinking outside the box when something gets tricky. On top of that, they are reasonably priced and will suggest the most affordable option for you whenever possible. The moment you employ them they are on the ball, no chasing from our side ever. They are also super lovely to deal with, even our neighbours mentioned that everyone was very polite and quiet. I wouldn't hire anyone else for carpentry or decorating work. The finished products look lovely and they built most of it off-site, so only entailed 3.5 days of disruption at home. They are nice guys and tidy workers, leaving the place immaculate each evening. From our initial contact to the completion of the project, Marcio was responsive with great communication and thorough. We went through the quote and any changes requested were accommodated. The project was completed with minimal disruption to ourselves. Marcio and Ivo are both polite, personable and professional. They ensured the space was always left clear and clean at the end of the day, they also facilitated the project so we were able to use our daughter’s room as soon as we could, so there was little disruption to her. At the end of the project they moved all the furniture back in to the respective rooms. The stand out feature is the communication, any questions regarding project details or areas which may require additional attention, were clearly communicated to us and never forced. The company is honest and good value for money. They are also very understanding in terms of budget, timings and payment methods. We are absolutely thrilled with the end results and will be using them for many projects to come. The only problem is that they are so booked, you may have to wait a bit, but I suppose that speaks for itself. Thank you Marcio and Ivo for all your hard work.
We used M&O to build and paint a wardrobe and some storage cupboards. We are so happy with everything they did, it was all bespoke (in particular the cupboard under the stairs which was a really tricky space) and made to our needs, including shelving and the style of doors. M&O gave us our dream house! We had Marcio and his team do a complete refurbishment of our house, including installing wooden floors, painting and installing custom wardrobes that M&O designed for us. Marcio is fantastic to work with and he really builds a relationship with his customers. He takes the time to really listen to what you want, and he is dedicated to delivering exactly what you ask for. Marcio worked with me on the design of the wardrobes, and he was very generous with his time in helping me find exactly the right solution for the wardrobes, taking into account my requests as well as the awkward spaces in my house. Communication was very easy, and potential issues are delt with immediately and effectively. In fact, Marcio spotted problems for us that we hadn’t anticipated, and he was able to put us in touch immediately with a very reliable plumber, who is now our go-to plumber. The issue with the radiators (which would otherwise have prevented the flooring from being laid) was dealt with promptly and the works went ahead as planned. Marcio and his father-in-law are true craftsmen, taking great pride in the quality of their work as carpenters. Having their wardrobes means having a one-of-a-kind craft item with huge amounts of storage that fits perfectly in your space, rather than a mass-produced piece of furniture you could buy anywhere. Marcio even made the thing I wanted most, which was a little custom jewellery drawer! Now I can finally get my tangled pile of jewellery organised! One of the amazing things about M&O was that nothing was too much trouble. I changed my mind and asked for something different at several stages of the refurbishment, and I would add things that I wanted (such as a lovely custom beading design for my otherwise very plain balustrade) and this was never a problem. Marcio very kindly hung all the paintings, shelves and mirrors in my house, and he also put together our new furniture and put all of our beds back together after we’d dismantled them. A real godsend, as this is not my forte!! We were never left in the dark about any aspect of the work, and even though it was a complicated job with lots of things to consider, we were clear about every aspect of the works, how much they would cost, how they would unfold, and how long each stage would take. In the end, M&O even finished early, which is almost unheard of! That being said, they would also take their time for the parts of the house that were especially tricky (such as installing flooring on our staircase), and never rushed to finish something that needed the extra time. At the end of the job, the house was spotless. M&O have extremely high standards, and we were confident from the start that our house was in good hands. M&O are true professionals, dedicated to their craft, and by the time they have finished a job for you, you’ll already be thinking of what you’d like to book them in for next!
Another great job by M&O. This time they did some interior painting. We left them to it whilst we flew to the other side of the world and the job was complete in time for our return to the UK. A very pleasant transformation to our home upon returning. Very good service.
We contacted M&O Carpenter Decorator as they have great reviews and we saw photos of other custom wardrobes they had done. The contact with Marcio has been brilliant from initial contact through to project completion. He worked with us to advise on a wardrobe design that would work for the space and our needs. We scheduled in the work but then had to push it along by a couple of weeks due to visitors coming to stay. No problem at all and Marcio adjusted the start date. Marcio and Ivo removed the very old original built in wardrobes and got the structure in for the replacement built in wardrobes - in one day! I was very impressed. We had also asked the team to replace the upstairs doors as the originals didn't shut well and were warped. It's a hundred year old house so the frames are wonky but Ivo was very precise and put a lot of care into getting the new doors fitted well. The wardrobes and doors were painted and handles fitted to both. We also asked Marcio and team to do some extra work in the room for us, including removing some lining paper which had been damaged, putting up new lining paper and painting the ceiling. Tricky jobs that I was dreading doing so I was glad M&O could do that too. I would definitely recommend M&O for carpentry and decorating. It was a pleasure to have Marcio and Ivo around during the work. Marcio has high standards of his team's work too. They are popular for a reason!

I would highly recommend Marcio and his team. They undertook the task of stripping the walls in our lounge, re plastering the walls & ceiling and repainting the room. They also built some shelving units to fit at either side of the chimney breast. Every time I now walk past the lounge it puts a big smile on my face, I absolutely love the room!!! Marcio and his team also worked their magic in my 10yr olds bedroom and built some built in wardrobes to fit at either side of the chimney breast. I can very much recommend Marcio and his team. We hired them for painting our entire house inside, and they did an excellent job. Their work was very diligent and thorough, they taped everything well, so there was no paint splatter on skirtings or floors. The painting job had an excellent finish, straight-lined along the edges. Marcio is very professional, easy and straight forward to deal with, and importantly, was always responsive and no chasing ever required. The team also did some wall panelling, which looks great, and they were generally helpful on a number of other matters that came up in the house. All in all - great work, skilled craftsmen who take their job clearly serious….and that’s why we hired them to also build some wardrobes now. I wish M&O all the best for the future.

Excellent work. I needed shelving in an awkward area of front room and Marcio and team were able to design and prepare a shelving unit to fit. This was fitted with necessary skirting and making good to ceiling and walls. Polite, friendly and quality work. Marcio was also prepared to provide an extra shelf after completion of main work, without fuss I would not hesitate to recommend and hope to ask them to carry out more interior decoration in the future
Marcio and his team designed and installed custom made cupboards under our stairs. The design, quality and workmanship is done to a very high standard. We are very pleased with the end result which now gives us a huge amount of storage and would not hesitate to recommend this company. This is the fourth project Marcio has completed for us and we will no doubt use his services again in the future.

Marcio and his colleague did a great job with redesigning our built in wardrobe in small bedroom. They arrived as expected and kept us updated as work progressed. Fantastic professional job from quote to completion, highly recommend... Mario and Ivo have done a fantastic job from the initial quote with measurements and advice through to the installation of the new fitted shelving and cupboards in the lounge. They work well together, are extremely efficient, keeping you updated every step of the way. Even when something unexpected happens (e.g. we had a timber in the way) nothing is too much trouble and the stress is taken away as they offer up solutions and work around things. I would not hesitate in recommending them for the work you need doing and will be hopefully be asking them to do some wardrobes for us in the future!
We asked Marcio and his team to do multiple jobs in our 3 bed house. The house was purchased knowing a lot of improvements were needed. All of the work we required was completed to a high standard. The team worked at a fast pace and were extremely competent in a range of areas. They are friendly, professional, and help you with design solutions. Marcio and his team are superb! They arrive in time, do a brilliant job when they’re here and when they go they leave the place tidy and clean. No job is a challenge, we’ve had several projects around the house with them now and they always work closely with us and find a way to achieve what we want. They are brilliant at carpentry, painting, decorating, wardrobe building and they always finish the job on time. Brilliant work and a great result! We worked with M&O on a renovation of our basement, turning an small and unused cellar into a well finished storage area. Right from the beginning Marcio and his team were fully invested in getting every detail of the project to exacting high standards. Even on the first visit we spent about 2 hours discussing every detail of the layout, challenges and ideas we had to make sure we could get the best results possible. The guys added their suggestions from the beginning to improve on what we wanted and continued to be a part of that process all the way through the project - always striving to make sure we got the finish needed in difficult conditions. This was a really complex fit in an awkward space but we were hugely impressed by the team's ability to solve problems as they arose and in many cases get a better result than planned, always keeping the work moving and keeping us updated at every stage. The guys are also a really pleasant and professional team and we were more than happy to have them in and out of the flat whenever they needed throughout the project. Costs were also very fair and competitive for the high standard of work done. Overall we'd absolutely recommend M&O and would be delighted to have them back for future works.
Marcio is amazing. He does a stellar job, is very nice and approachable. Prices are very fair and he is 100% trustworthy. He has helped for works in our flat, but also did a great job by sorting cracks, building sheds and repainting all masonry for the freehold. Would definitely recommend him and am happy to say I have now found a builder who I can trust!

Did excellent work on our new home. We had a rotting section of floor that they completely replaced, as well as laying new laminate and fitting skirting. Also built us a lovely built in wardrobe in the bedroom. Great quality, hard working and were very accommodating working with/ around the various other people we had working on the house.
These guys are brilliant, i have called them a few times to do various jobs and have always been very pleased. The team is professional, polite, honest and reliable. Thanks guys
