The brief was to fully refurbish a 1980s bathroom to a modern shower room, moving all suite items and connect to a traditional gravity plumbing system, using Showerbooster mini pumps to ensure a vigorous shower. I obtained three quotes and James was the only person to fully engage with the design and agree to supply all the goods, at a reasonable price. Being a busy tradesman, there was a slight wait for the work to start. James provided a very detailed quote and design visual so that nothing was left ambiguous, including a shopping basket at Victorian Plumbing for us to view. The job started at the agreed timeframe and everything was managed by James to perfection! This included delivery, storage and checking of all supplied items and skip for the disposal. The work was completed to a very high standard and finished on schedule. James and Lewis kept the house clean and tidy during the works and even completed a few minor jobs that were not part of the contract. They were also friendly and chatty, which made having them around a much easier experience. The finished bathroom looks like the en-suite at a luxury hotel and we are delighted with the result. We intend to work with James again for some electrical work and eventually our other bathroom.

We was really pleased with the bathroom fitted by James & Lewis. James was very helpful with choosing some items & recommending a better option if needed, especially the bath for which he found a smaller bath for the space that we had, but doesn't look or feel as small as expected-very pleased with this. James and the team have done an unbelievable job with our bathroom renovation. From the initial detailed quote where James had anticipated various issues (meaning we didn’t get any surprise additional costs) to final installed bathroom, James was very professional, communicative and helpful. The CAD pictures James put together prior to starting the work really helped visualise the end product and led to some minor tweaks that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to make to the detriment of the end result. Throughout the job, James and the team were very thorough with tidying up at the end of the day which was greatly appreciated. James was also very receptive to our ideas and requests for individual items even though this meant him sourcing items from a variety of suppliers which he had no problems with. The end bathroom has been done to a very high standard and the quality of the workmanship is excellent. We can’t recommend James highly enough and hope to get him back soon for the next job!

We had our bathroom completed on 31 October 2024 and the work started on 23 October 2024 - The team at Cheshire Bathrooms made the refurbishment from what the bathroom looked like to the modern look as per photos an easy transition. The job was completed on time as scheduled. They did an excellent job and the bathroom feels so much better and just what we wanted. 100% better than what we had before! Thank you for doing this!!
From the first time I met James when he came to give me a quote, I felt completely confident that he would do a great job, and I wasn’t disappointed. Communication was excellent and everything went as planned. I was particularly impressed at how well James and his team cleaned up every day. I really enjoyed working with Cheshire bathrooms and I cannot recommend them highly enough. My finished bathroom was of a high standard and far exceeded my expectations. I’d already bought a vanity unit and tiles. I told James I wanted a walk in shower, bath and cupboard. I left everything else to him.
Ours was a pretty complicated build involving the creation of a new ensuite by reconfiguring two existing cupboards. A new drain was brought from outside into the centre of the house and water and electrical services had to be brought from rooms on the far side of the house. James was extremely thorough from the initial measuring up, the detail of the quote, the accuracy of the timing and keeping us fully informed at every stage. The quality of the finished product is fantastic and definitely exceeded our expectations. I cannot praise James, Ryan and Sam highly enough – the workmanship, attention to detail and thoroughness at every stage was exemplary. They also spent the last half hour of every day clearing up, vacuuming and wiping dust from all the surfaces. They are a fantastic team and we have no hesitation in recommending them.

James had so many great design ideas and sent lots of pictures of products to choose from and seeing the design plans before the work began was wonderful. We used James several years ago when we had our first bathroom makeover. when we moved September last year our bathroom was still as good as it was when they done it all those years ago. James and his side kick Ryan was asked to quote for our new bathroom in our new home. We never intended to get more quotes because we knew what we were getting for our money. James helped us to design a new bathroom which not ony rivalled our last bathroom but the end product suppassed all of our expectations. He quoted 3 weeks from start to finish, it took exactly 3 weeks. Every day before starting they covered all floors from front door hallway, stairs and landing. every night before they left they cleaned up and vacumed everywhere they had been walking. Both james and Ryan were so polite and professional, we cannot fault their work ethics or cannot find a single fault in our new bathroom. If ever we move again and it needed a new bathroom we would not hesitate calling James to come in and re-design us a bathroom. We would definately reccomend them to any family and friends who are looking for new bathroom designs. From our last home we reccomended james to both my sister and my neice and he has re-designed both of their bathrooms and they are over the moon with the quality and the design that James chose and fitted. The service from James has been amazing: by far the best we've ever had from any contractor. He helped us plan our downstairs WC refurb, he listened to what we wanted and had some great ideas. He sent us links to multiple options for the units and appliances and helped us choose. He came with his apprentice on time, and stayed until the job was fully complete. He communicated with us very well throughout and responded very promptly to any queries we sent him. The final outcome is exactly what we wanted and in fact exceeds expectations. The room was completely gutted, the walls were not in a great state and needed new plaster board. This extended the length of the job but James stuck to his original quote. So, in summary, great communication with us, he came on time, was very responsive to queries, stuck to his quote and delivered a great result. Highly recommended.

James Cheshire, Matt and Ryan converted our large 120-year-old bathroom into a new Master Bedroom ensuite shower room and a new family bathroom. The quality of the work was superb, their price was very competitive, and they finished the estimated 20-day job two days early! I cancel my earlier review; after James recovered from COVID he got in touch, provided a satisfactory quote, communications were good, answering questions with good information. James and his team worked professionally and meticulously to a high standard and were very tidy, cleaning up at the end of every day. The job ran over by a couple of days but that was partly my fault (I asked for some extras) and partly the result of him willingly fixing faults that he discovered in our plumbing system. We are very pleased with the bathroom and will invite James to return in 2022 to do some kitchen work.

What a find James and Matt are! If I could have them doing everything around our house that needs doing I would. They have literally given me my dream bathroom...and I was VERY specific about what I wanted. James was able to see my vision from the quote through to completion of our bathroom remodel. He is incredibly responsive, professional and intuitive offering ideas and solutions throughout the project. My stairs and bannister have never been so clean because they clean up every single day. James is the consummate perfectionist and will not "cut corners" like so many other tradespeople I have unfortunately encountered. If you want the absolute mutts n**s of a bathroom, then James and Matt are the guys to do it.
