I am extremely pleased with the product I chose, it looks great & is very good quality. I was wondering how difficult the removal of the old brick fireplace was going to be but they made it look easy. The installation was done in one day, they worked extremely hard with the minimum of mess. On completion the room was cleaned up & all the debris removed from site. Dan and his team have just finished building a new chimney brest to install a new gas fire also from A1. I was amazed with the amount of work involved by them and how meticulous they were. I am so pleased with the results and highly recommend Dan and A1 fires without hesitation.

We engaged No1 fires on the recommendation of a neighbour to replace an old Jetmaster with a new modern Danish wood burner. It is an old property and whilst the design of the stove is quite modern it actually fits in really well with the room. The installation however was not as straight forward as we and Dan had hoped. It necessitated the removal of a couple of rows of old bricks and the installation of a lintel to support the remaining fireplace. Also, the existing clay lined chimney had some loose and broken lining and on subsequent inspection was found to not as straight as first thought, making some removal of old lining essential to enable the new stainless liner to be installed. All of the above added a delay to the completion of the installation which neither party wanted but in the end we have a first-rate installation for the amount we were quoted. Well done Dan and the team and I have no hesitation in recommending your services to anyone. Just make sure you all know what might be involved in advance!

Our job was not completely straightforward as it involved marrying our existing solid fuel central heating/hotwater system into the new wood/multi fuel stove, along with installing a new insulated stainless steel flue, all provided by Dan and his team. Just to say how brilliant Sam and Rhys (?) were when installing our fire yesterday. They hit a real problem and dealt with it calmly and professionally. They sought our opinion at every turn and went out of their way to limit the mess. Absolute stars. And the fire is good too - worth paying for the deluxe model!!
Everyone should have one... Basic Opulus, replacing gas. After 24 hours and (now) some level of understanding we love it. It makes the room warmer even with no heat mode. When discussing the various functions with my 10 year old grandson I realised the rearmost log was not working as expected. I soon restored this by firmly plugging it back in; simple. The unit will need an annual dissembly for dust cleaning. Nice to know it's easy. I downloaded the app and it hooked up easily. I prefer the zapper atm. I think I'm right in saying that even if you get lost in the playing and messing about with the controls (learning) the unit restarts in a default condition after a power Off. I shall probably do another review when I better understand it
Did a good job demolishing existing fire place and installing new log burner. Flexible about timing of the various stages of the project to fit in with my plasterer, decorating etc. Good communications and workmanship. Overall happy with No 1 Fires. Would recommend.
Dan and his colleagues provided an excellent service, with suggestions for suitable fires, how to improve the setting in the room etc. The installation was done with great care and no significant mess. Now that I've had chance to use the fire, I am delighted with the result. It provides a wonderful cosy focal point in the room. Would recommend.

We asked No1 Fires to supply and fit a new wood burner to replace our existing open fire. Dan & John completed the job brilliantly - organising the required scaffolding and plastering services around them whilst they removed the old fire place and fitted the new burner. They were really communicative, on time, clean and knew their stuff - brilliant. We now have a great wood burner that is keeping us warm 👍

The welcome in the shop was appreciated. The salesman explaind the different models for me to choose. The surveyer came to my house to check the mearurments. In due course the fire arrived and fitted it by a profesional which took about 2 hours, Everything was clean.

We needed to replace our woodburner surround and Danny and his fitter (John) were amazingling competent. A problem was discovered when John came to replace the surround. To cut a long story short, we decided to change the woodburner. Danny recommended one and John removed the old woodburner, got all the vermiculite out from the chimney, replaced the fireplace lining and fitted the new woodburner. John's craftsmanship and workmanship was incredibly impressive - he is a 'legend'! We are so pleased with the new woodburner and lining. Impressive company and a pleasure to do business with.

Had a Woodtec wood burner installed and I'm over the moon, really great product and even better service, from the advice i was given to the quality of workmanship and the professionalism, all was well worth every penny, i have more properties requiring woodburners and fireplaces so i won't hesitate to call Danny at No1 fires.
