AMS Heating and Plumbing Ltd

We fully renovated our two bedroom first floor flat in a purpose built 1970s block of flats and employed AMS Heating & Plumbing to carry out the plumbing work. All existing pipework was capped and removed so they carried out a complete installation of new plumbing from the service riser to the existing bathroom, a newly created ensuite and a newly designed kitchen which included working with the kitchen designer and electrical contractor. It wasn’t an easy installation due to the fact that all floors and ceilings are concrete so there were no traditional floorboards or plasterboard ceilings to hide pipework in but Andrew came up with some innovative solutions which have worked out really well - and when you’re working with a limited amount of space every space saving idea helps! There is no gas in the building so a combi boiler wasn’t an option and we didn’t want to keep the water tank as it took up too much space in the bedroom so we removed this and replaced it with a Sunamp Thermino ePlus 150 heat battery. It is a relatively new product but it is a lot smaller than a water tank so we had it installed behind a cupboard door in the kitchen (the pipework done by Teyler is a work of art in itself so we would happily have it on show!) - it takes up very little space and sits quietly without us even noticing it. We have a wifi timer switch connected to it and it is set to charge between 1am - 3.30am each day as we have an off peak electric rate and that provides enough hot water for three of us to shower and general hot water use throughout the day. Bathroom and kitchen fittings & appliances were all fitted with care and to a high standard and we couldn’t be happier with the end result overall - water is piping hot and at mains pressure from all taps and showers. I would highly recommend AMS to anyone looking for a reliable, competent and trustworthy company and would also recommend the Sunamp heat battery for anyone looking for a space-saving solution like us, we are very impressed with it!

From Natalie handling our calls & emails the communication was first class. Nothing was to much trouble through my (many) problems. We had two lovely gentleman who came with a wealth of knowledge, settling some anxiety around our boiler system, highlighting regular issues to watch out for and diagnosed/fixed each issue promptly and efficiently. Nothing was ever to much trouble. 1000% will use again.

Today I have had a new toilet and vanity unit fitted and an outside tap. I am extremely happy. From the initial call, to getting the quotation and a courtesy message the day before customer service has been excellent throughout the entire process. Arrived exactly at the agreed time and worked extremely hard for several hours until an excellent job was completed. It was a bit of a challenge, as none of my walls are straight, but with a lot of perseverance the end result is great. The supplied toilet is of great quality, along with the outside tap. Very happy with the end result, at a very reasonable price for the work. Can highly recommend!

Today 21st May 2024 I had a lovely contractor called Jay too fit my new boiler so kind,considerate and a total pleasure too have in my home . A real pleasure too have a warm and welcoming smile in my home fantastic service xx also brilliant communication from the company xx
