Reviews
3.9
Many reviewers describe Bradford College as welcoming and supportive, with friendly, helpful staff and tutors. Several praise the modern buildings and facilities, including the David Hockney Building and the library. A few reviewers report positive experiences with specific courses and with the food at the Grove. However, reviewers also report poor communication, unhelpful or rude staff, disorganised administration and timetabling, and weak support on some courses. One reviewer reported being made to feel ignored and treated differently because of gender, and another described a tutor as racist.
its a college, a place to study different courses, meet people and build a future.

Honestly, my experience at Bradford College was pretty disappointing. I studied there from Level 2 and Level 3 through to a Film and Media degree. There were a few good staff members, but overall I didn’t find the courses very useful, especially when it came to practical experience, career support and preparing for work. Looking back, I feel like I spent years there without getting much out of it. If you’re considering coming here, I’d seriously look at other options before taking on years of study and potentially student debt for a course that may not give you much in return. Apprenticeships, work experience or another college could be worth considering. Based on my experience, I’d personally avoid Bradford College and look elsewhere.
Poor communication and and when you have a problem or need answers there is no support!
In 2025 I joined the Access to Higher Education (HE) Applied Science course because I genuinely wanted to go to university and even took out a £3,000 Advanced Learner Loan to make it happen. Sadly, my experience completely changed that. One of the lecturers, Abbas A. made me feel ignored throughout the course. I often felt dismissed and was spoken to in a rude manner quite a few times, while female students seemed to get immediate attention and a lot more friendly support. There was a noticeable difference in how the boys and girls were treated, and after a while it really started to affect my confidence and motivation. Eventually, I made the difficult decision to drop out because I no longer felt like I had a fair chance of succeeding. I’ve since moved on to a different path that I’m much happier with, but it’s disappointing that what was supposed to be my route into university ended this way. I just hope the college listens to student feedback and makes sure everyone is treated fairly and given the same level of support, regardless of gender.
Great College and facilities and amazing staff.
One of the best colleges 1in the UK
Very good for young and over 18
Good
Such an amazing place. Excellent teaching and learning environment.
Don’t send ur kids here if u want them to succeed, I begged teachers for help with my maths and told them repeatedly I didn’t feel confident in passing my GCSEs since I’d already failed twice at them with Bradford college. Not a single teacher helped or even took any notice of what I said. In lessons I got brushed off when I asked for help and wasn’t set work half the time, on the other hand my course work in travel and tourism was ridiculous with multiple, massive, unrealistic assignments set to do per week and no sympathy if you had other problems going on which really affected my mental health and made me believe I wasn’t capable of doing any career.
I met my ex-girlfriend, and I genuinely believe she made part of my college experience way better. 5 stars just because of that - she was awesome. The quiet rooms on floor 5 were also peak, really nice for studying and having those deep, meaningful conversations with your partner once in a while! Should have added some covers or blankets just to make it cozier. The teachers were nice, down-to-earth, humble, and had this funny, humble way about them
22 of us went to the grove today for Christmas lunch . We all agreed that the food was really good and the students/ staff were fantastic . Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!! Well done !
I am currently completing my Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business, and I am very proud of my results so far. I achieved Merit (M) in four units: Research and Planning, Exploring Business, Event Management, and Business Finance, and Distinction (D) in all my other units, including Human Resources, Decision Making, Principles of Management, Customer Service, and Business Ethics. I really like Bradford College because it seems very welcoming and supportive for international students. The college offers affordable tuition fees, and the cost of living around the area is quite reasonable, which makes studying there much more manageable. I also appreciate that the courses are well-organised and provide good support for students to improve their skills and prepare for future careers. Overall, Bradford College feels like a friendly and practical place to study, and it really matches what I am looking for. I plan to submit my official application after I complete my Level 3 BTEC, and I sincerely hope I will be accepted
Worse college ever
went here for year 12 in 2024 and i don't recommend this college. My mental health has worsened alot and i didn't feel comfortable and felt like an outcast in the class Most the teachers i had don't teach properly and there's a lack of communication. When a class is cancelled they don't email the class and sometimes they arrive 20 minutes late and many students can also confirm this. We had assignments with not much information and the due dates kept on changing.
Pretvir is a really bad teacher we was supposed to on a trip and she cancelled on us 3.5 minutes before the lesson (SAID BY TWO STUDENTS)
Very rude so hard to try and get communication from anyone and when you do spoken to very Arrogantly
At the start of the year I signed up for one of the adult learning courses to help me further develop my skills. Right from the start I had to chase the college for information on the course, I was told at the last minute when enrollment was and as it was so last minute I couldn’t make it. I was advised i’d be contacted about future enrollment dates (again I had to chase) to receive an email to say I’d be contacted in May about the course. I’ve heard nothing, it’s now June and I’ve genuinely given up bothering to enroll on the course due to poor communication and lack of support from the college. I really hope school leavers don’t have this same experience. Very poor service!
New building, really modern facilities
At the moment road works near Bradford college.
Bradford College offers a warm, supportive environment with strong academic and pastoral support. Located in a modern £50 million campus—including the David Hockney Building—it provides excellent facilities and a diverse range of courses
very good
Don’t go to this college unless you want to prepare yourself for failure. My son does a computing/networking course and has been repeatedly threatened by his “teachers” that he and other students will get kicked off the course for absolutely stupid reasons, like getting a low score on a MOCK exam, not the real one. Recently, I have also learned that his teachers have decided to shove an entire unit for the class to complete within a week, and he has again been threatened to be kicked off the course if he cannot complete the unit. For context, assignments usually take 2-3 weeks from what I have seen, so being given one week to complete an entire unit is ridiculous. I am so disappointed in this college, but I wasn’t expecting much from this particular college anyway. The teachers don’t know how to teach their subjects, and the college is just so unprepared and unorganised. And don’t get me started on communication issues between teachers and students.. it is the worse. Whenever my son finds something difficult, he will message his teachers on Teams, but nobody even bothers to get back to him! What’s worse is that they even read his message and don’t bother to reply! It’s absolutely ridiculous - you need to start hiring people who can actually do their job instead of hiring anyone who walks through your doors, and it clearly shows. And it’s not just my son who has these issues - it’s so many other students too. Incredibly disappointed and angry at this excuse of a college. Fix up.
The worst college I have ever been to. I’m a student here and I started in September 2024 and all I can say is that the teachers are rubbish, there’s no proper communication with the teachers, and the teachers just love to threaten to kick you off the course even tho they don’t know how to teach themselves. I have one or two teachers who even have difficulty speaking English?? How are you going to teach an extremely difficult course and not know how to explain the topic you’re teaching?! At first I didn’t mind it, but since I’ve been told that I would get kicked off the course if I don’t do well, it’s starting to become an issue for me and other students in my class. We are given no help with assignments, and whenever I message a teacher on Teams, they never get back to me, but for some reason that teacher will message other students (initials of this teacher are T.G.) I have messaged this teacher many times, and I literally get no response from her, but she will quickly respond to other students in my class and it’s become annoying. Don’t come here unless you wanna waste your time.
I am very grateful for a chance to study English and Math GCSEs in Bradford College. Very helpful and attention stuff, always ready to help, very talented tutors. Lucky to be here in Bradford!
I applied for a couple of courses at this institution, but unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned. My applications have either been stuck on a long waiting list or transferred to other courses without my knowledge. After speaking with the college staff about the process, it’s clear they are disorganised and lack the ability to operate efficiently as a further education provider. I’ve decided to abandon my current applications and look elsewhere. I do not recommend this institution.
"I've been a student at this college for six months, and I've had a consistently negative experience with the funding staff. Recently, I encountered a staff member who was very rude and unhelpful. I called for an hour without any response and when I visited in person to get my bus pass, I was told I would have to wait another hour. I hope the college addresses these issues to improve the experience for students."
Why do you write that the college is open and when I go I see that it is closed?
Very good environment and friendly staff and teachers
Very good college to send you’re kid to the teachers are very nice and helpful and I used to go to that college
Good. Under reconstruction at the moment.
Excellent services
As a current student and former staff member at Bradford College, it’s clear that many face ongoing issues with poor communication, unprofessional behaviour, and a lack of support from certain departments. These challenges create frustration and affect the overall experience. Improvements in these areas would greatly benefit the college community.
It is a very good college
Excellent tutors. I had courses with Mr Sunil,Mr Antony and Mrs Helen Forbes. I really respect them all. They are the best.
Time waste the tutor are not good they don’t encourage you they just discourage you 😤They says to every student you can’t do this work you will never pass your exam. I personally hate this college
A1 place
Awful College. The Tutors were supposed to be laying on extra lessons for students who had got behind.... but never even bothered to inform my son or myself when the lessons were going to take place or in what Class.... No messages, Letters, Emails absolutely nothing. They are now throwing My sDon of their Cour., Due to their LACK OG COMMUNICATION and Dior INCOMPETENCE!!. It s completely unacceptable.... So NO I would NOT TEVOMMEND this COLLEGE, there are a lot better.
Thanks for teaching me here at Bradford college
Debbie starr very helpful teacher and issues she will sort asap
Hammad Ul haq goes here so of coarse a 5

i just waste my 2 year in bradford college. if i know the bradford college education system. I will never go there, and sorry for that one of the english teacher , (Adam) is racist remove him from the college he is destroying student careers.!!!!!!!!!
Very helpful staff, love it
Worst college and poor education
Came to the UK to visit a friend, all the students kept farting in the corridor it was repulsive
This is a wonderful college love the place and everything
Good
I went in with 1 braincell and came out with none
Oki
I haven't studied in this college and I don't want to. But I have very close family and friends that have studied in this college. This college has very poor educational standards and what goes on in this college also gives a poor mark on this college status. I wouldn't want my children study in this college. It needs to highlight it's standards.
I would like to say is meeting new people and getting on with other students
Good vibes
This college was the worst place I applied to for my teacher training, unfortunately due to their level of unprofessionalism I never passed and never became a teacher. I applied for a course in September 2020 and due to COVID I never received a placement till 6 months on the course, they sent me to the worst school in Bradford - Hanson School Academy which is no place to send a new trainee due to the poor attitude of the teachers and students alike, (the teachers in the science department) (science was my specialism area) after this placement was finished I waited 6 months for another placement by which then they sent me to a SEND provision at Bradford College which was not convenient as proper school experience was required, this college did not help in my passing at all and contributed to me not passing the course, the white mentors are racist and it is pretty obvious what their aim is to coloured Asian students. I'm sorry but this college lacks professionalism and they are failing their own students rather than passing them.
Good and accountable services were being provided
Very good 😊 , excellent Christmas 3 course lunch.
It’s all about good..every teachers Taught easily
Excellent place to learn. Great staff and wonderful facilities and a wide selection of courses to choose from.
A excellent place to study.
Bradford College Lister Building is great. Social Distancing remains priority. Sanitiser and wipes always available. Great tutors too.
College staff is very supportive and friendly.
very nice teachers
Все сподобалось
Very good place safety and clean as well the staff its so kind.
It's a good college with excellent facilities, especially the library.
Inadequate administration.
Bradford college is a great place study and go far into education
Probably the only college in the UK where you pay for your level 1 and level 2 , pass all your exams but somehow you don't get an NVQ. They're saying it's not their responsibility but then again that's never mentioned when you're giving them the money.
So sad they haven't got 0 star rating! Absolutely awful staff at reception! You dont believe try dial the collage number and press 9 to reach the reception!u might get true after a moth if u lucky I personally went inside the collage sat down nest to the reception, I rang and chose option 9 reception! And watched them 2 ladys at the reception just ignoring and keep talking about they weekend ect.. wile I was sat there ringing the phone ! I did this for 3 days in a raw and nothing changed !u want to ring for info not available online, but u can't! why ARE YOU WASTING MONEY On EMPLOYING INDIVIDUAL WHO'S THERE JUST TO MAKE HOURS AND GO HOME ?? What benefit as a school you gaining from EMPLOYING such individuals???
Best college for trades, business, sports and apprenticships.
Seems to be ok
Great experience
Really happy with the experience I had at bradford college. The staff were so helpful and really friendly. I am feeling really at ease sending my son. His teacher taybah is brilliant.
Seems like a good place to work so far.
Best college in the UK
I go to college here. My second home❤️
Joined the A level computer science. The tutor weren't interested in teaching you if you weren't already competent (In fact one of my friends that stayed the full two years says he still has no idea about computer science), some were even racist by giving preferential treatment to asian students. One day I got a bill in the mail and when i took it to student finances i was told "it's fine, everyone gets one". Eventually I left, upon which the college managed to lose my student loan documents (They hadn't given me a copy after i signed it in induction) and demanded I pay everything in full, eventually hounding a debt company after me. This is not a place of learning, it's a business
A gabagool
Welcoming environment, friendly staff and brilliant tutors
A great place to study
Вполне приличное место )
Nice and pleasant
Friendly staff and easy access

Super budynek wiele możliwości edukacji
Went there for vaccination, was good.
Great study environment. Was there for registration
I had the most amazing time studying here at Bradford College. The support I received was excellent. I will choose Bradford College again and again!
My daughter goes and she loves it. When we went to look round before she started I was very impressed with the art department. The collage seems a happy place .
Very good
An ancient institution from which we learned a lot from the experience of Thara
A beautiful space with the "Old Building" and "New Building" . The smaller event hall was gorgeous albeit slightly tired, but tall ceilings and intricate details in the column and ceiling. Very sensible use of modern tools to old architecture. It felt nice being in the Old Building.
Had my first covid Vaccination here today. They were very organised, efficient, and very friendly. Kudos to all the front liners for working tirelessly during this tough time.
The pandemic is over... not a lot of face masks being worn or if they are on the chin..
Covid vaccination centre. Very efficient
Lovely looking college. Special thanks to the amazing security guard, Ben, who helped us navigate out. We were a bit lost...
Fantastic modern buildings, all staff were curious and 100% helpful and professional. Highly recommend if you are thinking of choosing this as a place of study.
Went there for the Covid vaccination, the staff where very helpful
Good place, good teachers just the people who go there aint the best type of people
Under funded, and could be so much better
I would recommend to an adult learner like myself.
Horrendous, staff talk down to you like dogs and have no faith in students at all , throws accusations at students and does not care about mental health and wellbeing. They don't do attendance correctly and are unorganised
Can't get on to your coursework
I don't like.i was waiting 1hour for the teacher ho called me and she didn't com it's was cold I didn't like...and The staff there are not smiling
They've taken great steps to reduce the risk of covid19 some security guards are nice others think they're god
If you have anxiety avoid this college. I've been going for over a year now and I can tell you they are horribly organised. An actual clown would run the college better. On my first day they made us work out our own timetables, some larger lessons such as sociology has 3 seperate blocks, this meant that people were arriving at wrong lessons with wrong teachers. This went on for nearly 3 weeks. Another instance is during the Covid 19 pandemic. The college tried to ease us in to have physical lessons, but this led to massive confusion with students and teachers having different timetables. The correct timetables were only sent a DAY before lessons were set to continue. Some tutors are nice and friendly, but marking is of low quality and the college pretty much makes you fend for yourself. Do not recommend.
Poor communication, staff are a bit rude. Need to brush up on they way of speaking to students.
This is a great college to be honest, all staff members are friendly including teachers, the college is so big, there’s a library from which you can borrow books and you can also have private study rooms inside college for quiet study time, the college offers bursary for eligible students up to £1200 depending on your status and free bus pass voucher. I know that there are a lot of negative perceptions about B.C but I recommend you to experience it before you judge.
I love this college..the staff are very friendly
Depending on what course you want to do Bradford college is quite good as it's quite friendly and you can receive a lot of help and support from course tutors as they understand students more whereas the management for certain courses for e.g. Accounting and finance and business management are utterly useless, disrespectful and do not have the students as their number one priority. Realistically this should be 3-4 stars but the love for the tutors makes it an easy 5 star.
What's kind of details?alright
Perfect. I like Bradford College, that makes me happy. Thanks
Well maintained, even amidst the pandemic. Friendly staff and very contemporary services is as I understand so far.
I've been here officially for 3 months now and at first I thought the college's teaching and all would be really really good. But that's what I first thought until 2 weeks after when I started to become disappointed. Things started to get disorganised like the switch of classrooms and changes of timetables. my maths lesson had been cancelled 6 times now since the teacher isn't available. And there wasn't even a cover tutor to teach us. And it's not just maths that had been cancelled, but I'll just stop there. And some tutors cover lessons really slowly. I knew this when revised for my exams, I realised that we don't write a lot of things in our book (like 1 page or less). I gave 1 for a few outstanding tutors like my Chemistry tutor and English tutor.
My experience at this college was that I had none. The management is really poor, it's almost like it was ran by a hamster in a wheel. I don't even think Karen would've asked for the manager. I'd rate this college a 10/10 i'd needed a place to get depression.
Fue excelente buen trato y amabilidad
an OK college but do not go for a degree here 7 months in, my deadline is in 5 weeks and we have still not had an actual lesson and somehow its "the students fault" that our teacher has been on sick leave since December and hasn't even started the module.
takes a single teacher to ruin your life. terrible guidance e.g. in my experience there's a situation where they pretend in front of others but when your alone with them their personality changes. Too much anxiety in these area as well. highly encourage to find solutions to every problem instead of discouraging the students. another situation where your colleague would often discriminate you, despite not able to speak fluent English. Record you (by mobile fun) just to make fun of you in addition to this i got hit on the right side of my head by another student and had reported it to the head of department a year after and no implications were applied. smh. Another kid deliberately also bumps in to my chair repeatedly as rumor spreads that I was racist when in fact I'm also from a different ethnic background.
Really badly organised. Rang numerous times for course info, sent numerous emails and no one could help over about 8 weeks. I even went to sign up and admissions didnt have any further info. I rang Shipley and keighley colleges who were very helpful but at that point it was too late as there weren't any places. In the end signed up to a different college which is further away. I did sign up and pay for an evening course, still waiting less than a week before it's due to start as no one can tell me which day it's on. I wouldn't recommend this college. Update- still waiting for refund 3 months after first requested as course wasnt running.I honestly wouldn't bother trying to enrol here, the whole experience has been a bit frustrating and has just amounted to a lot of time wasted ringing around and chasing things up. Would quite like my money back though and unsure why it's taking so long.
Asked to find out if a lesson was cancelled and couldn't find anything because the tutors phone numbers we're to get updated in the half term. Half term has passed since. So what if their was an emergency for the tutor god forbid, lets say a tutor is teaching and of course have their phone on silent? Absolute joke.
I been studying AAT in Bradford college for the last 3 years, It was OK when I fist started but after the 2nd year the conditions have been downgraded, the computer were replaced by small laptops(harder to work with and allways in slow motion mode apart from some of them do not eve have all the key pads), when I have a problem no one reply to my emails, and to help the best teacher we use to have (Mark Owen) its gone. only Iqbal now and he do not reply to emails as well.If you thinking about Bradford college do not waste your money.
It’s a great place but it wasn’t for me.
Tati College.
NICE AND CLEAN COLLEGE.NICE STAFF AS WELL
No help for adhd autism support staff don't help with it or medical. Conditions. There just kick them in the teeth learning support. Disabilities team are totally like Bradford district care Trust.
Helpful staff and they are very organised. There is a quick response to emails. I was very happy to visit here - even in the pouring rain.
I would not recommend this college at all. The tutors do not help when asked and I caught my tutor on a voice recording saying "I like to fail people" and at the end of the year I failed the course. There is a lack of communication between different departments and lack of communication between tutors and students. There were not enough classrooms for classes to work in and there wasn't enough space out in the open area which meant students were sent home. It took me 3 attempts to collect my certificates at the end of the year and didn't end up collecting them unitl January the next year. DO NOT go to this college if you want to achieve something.
Everyone smokes and it makes the college seem like a place for junkies and drug dealers I suggest putting a ban on smoking to make it seem like the college is a somewhat respectable place.
I have been here 2 years and now suddenly we are not allowed to eat takeouts in the college as you are not allowed to go into the designated area with outside food. You can not eat in the classes or in the halls so the only place you can eat is on the benches outside in the rain. The tutors are great but this is a real issue.
Do not go to this place if you want to do a degree. They can't teach and the staff are incompetent. They just show a bunch of boring PowerPoint presentations with large amounts of text. No interactivity whatsoever. Not only that but they can't MARK TO SAVE THEIR F****** LIFE. I've seen better marking and feedback from secondary school teachers, at least they don't COPY AND PASTE FEEDBACK
Good also teachers are helpful and number of students per each class are almost 25.So you can say your opinion and discuss about it.
It's ok
There is receptionist (man) he is working in the evening he has beard , I told him to help my to found my class by system on the computer ,which room is it because I am a new student in college I don't where is it.He refused to help me.
The college is very safe and the members of staf are lovely security is always arond if and when u need to speak to them teachers are amazing
Good facilities and staff services.
I have started Bradford College 🎓 in Bradford in 2013, I was at the old building, the Lister Building and the old Westbrook Building until it demolished and I went into the David Hockney Building and I was there until I ended it and left Bradford College 🎓 in Bradford for good in 2014 and it's all done.
I very much like going to Bradford college. They staff and the teachers are all very helpful.
Great staff, great facilities, fantastic tutors and really happy to be getting the qualifications and support I need to get to university next year

Good location. Looks a lot better now it's been modernised
Some excellent tutors. 1:1 tutorial assessments took in 2 or3 at a time. Embarrassing. Destructive to those with less favourable reports. Good opportunity for "exchange"students abroad
Fantastic college! Tutors are friendly and helpful.
