Seal the Damp

Responded promptly to my email enquiry for a damp survey and sent clear information on what could be arranged and the cost. It was easy to book an appointment for a damp survey and the report was comprehensive and returned to us within 2 days. A good service which I would recommend.

Would definitely recommend 100%. Did exactly what he said he would; arrived at the times he said and charged what he quoted. Professional and respectful in every way.

Brilliant service very professional and friendly, did a great job 100 percent recommend this company, thank you 😊 Also loved your logos on website etc

Adrian, John and Adam all did a first class job on our conservatory. Both John and Adam worked hard over the days the job took. They were both respectful of our home, and cleared up as much as possible every evening, as well as minimising dust and disruption. I'd have no hesitation recommending Seal The Damp.

I am more than happy with the work I have had done by Seal The Damp. Professional and highly experienced. Everything was explained fully and carried out competently. Recommended

Really impressed! Turned up when they were supposed to, were polite, tidy and really respectful, the skimming of the plaster is so smooth, a fantastic job, with minimal distruption and mess. Would definitely recommend Seal the damp, from start to finish they were brilliant :)

Absolutely blown away by the service of this company .. arrived on time.. professionally assessed my issue and made informed recommendations. After inspecting the issue, he advised on the right resolution to eradicate the problem. Really top-notch Company and highly recommended.. and the actual survey was free of charge. Totally fantastic experience and I wholly recommend Seal the Damp!!!!

After being let down by a contractor who never showed up and left with my deposit, I contacted Seal the Damp to fix and insulate two damp walls in my living room. I cannot praise them enough for their availability and the high quality of their work. Adam and John were very punctual, which is always a good sign. They were also very approachable and always available to provide daily updates on the work they were doing. That was extremely reassuring for someone anxious like me. My only regret is not finding this company sooner and first betting on Facebook recommendations, which can often be a hit and miss. Anyway, I would contact Seal the Damp again without hesitation, should I need their services in the future. Florent, a very happy customer

From the moment I opened the door to Adrian, I felt as if I had known him for years. Very professional, explained everything thoroughly & had time for general chit chat also. If the survey was an example of the standard of work then I am looking forward to proceeding. (Jan 2026) So, June 1st our work began. Adam & John were faultless from the moment they arrived. Friendly, professional, approachable & incredibly easy to talk to. They showed great respect to our home throughout the time spent with us, both the preparation prior to commencing the work & cleaning up afterwards. I would have no hesitation in recommending Seal the Damp & i hope (for obvious reasons) we never need their services again) but would 100% use their excellent service again. Thank you Adrian, Kellie, John & Adam.

Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Would definitely recommend Seal the Damp. So tidy and efficient. Fantastic customer service and very professional.

I could not have been happier with the service from Seal The Damp. It was very easy to book someone, who came out quickly to survey the problem. He was able to identify the issues and explain them, and the solutions in an easy and detailed manner. He offered a number of possible solutions and explained the pros and cons of each and was able to answer all my questions. He then sent me a detailed plan of works with costings for which I was able to decide which way to proceed. They even managed to squeeze the first part of the work just before Christmas. Very pleased

Helpful and professional workers who were .

We were devastated when we discovered the encroaching damp in our property and have been delighted by the workmanship provided by your employees. The work was carried out efficiently and with care. We are so glad that we found Seal the Damp Thank you. Bob & Jenny Gayler

I had Seal the Damp come to address damp plaster caused by my neighbour’s external wall insulation. Adrian provided a very thorough and helpful survey at the outset, along with excellent advice on what the issue was and how it could be resolved. A month later, Adam and John carried out the work on site. They were very professional, kept everything tidy, and offered useful advice on how to paint the new plaster. Overall, they did a great job. I would highly recommend their services.

Highly recommend Seal The Damp, first rate service from quote to completion. Excellent professional work by Adam, nothing too much trouble and everything finished to a high standard, many thanks.

From the beginning of the job to the end of the job everything was made clear and concise. It was explained well and they were more than happy to do the small area that needed doing. Will always recommend

I can highly recommend Seal The Damp. Adam and John did an outstanding job on our walls and floor. They are true professionals with a great sense of humour. They explain everything clearly and bring a wealth of expertise that really puts your mind at ease. Thank you to the whole team.

I had a survey done to sort out some damp issues. The surveyor was excellent and identified all the problems, gave me very helpful advice and produced a detailed plan with solutions to the problems.

I can’t recommend this company enough. This is the second time they have sorted out a problem for me (both unrelated) and each time from start to finish they have been amazing, doing exactly as promised. Thank you!

A very attentive and professional service thank you. Adrian conducted a thorough survey of our rising damp problems that was followed-up by a report 2 days later. Both Adam and John were excellent tradesman, talking us through the repair stage-by-stage whilst being extremely polite and courteous. The completed works were to a very high standard and all mess was removed and areas cleaned throughout the 2.5 days of activity. We would certainly recommend Seal the Damp for its excellent customer service.

Adrian was extremely polite and respectful. Gave us plentiful advice on what actions we needed to undertake, and was honest in his findings. He didnt push for us to use Seal the Damp, and in truth, suggested that the cheaper option was NOT to use Seal the Damp, as the remedies for our issue were DIY. The survey was also free of charge, which surprised me as we did not need the services of Seal the Damp. I would highly recommend Seal the Damp to anyone with damp issues.

After seeing rising damp in my front porch, I contacted Seal the Damp. From start to finish, it all went smoothly, the workmanship was brilliant, he wanted to leave me with th best job. Very friendly and kept me in he loop with what he was doing. Thank you Seal the Damp team, good job 👏 👍 👌

I would highly recommend Seal the Damp, they are professional, informative, and genuinely honest. Adrian, the owner, came out personally to check the work and make sure I was happy. When John removed some of the skirtings, he pointed out that some of the damp was simply due to plaster being too close to the floor, and the plaster just needed chopping back, with no damp injection treatment needed, along with this the job was discounted as well. They didn’t have to mention it, but they did, which says a lot about their fairness and honesty. Competitively priced and trustworthy—highly recommended. Thank you guys.

Fantastic service from start to finish! The damp survey was carried out with great care and attention to detail. The surveyor explained the findings clearly and gave practical, honest advice without any pressure. It’s a relief to have such a trustworthy and professional company helping us, and would definitely recommend and use again. Refreshing to have found such an honest damp proof company.

We could smell damp behind a kitchen unit and Adrian from Seal the Damp immediately identified the problem and recommended a solution. Communication with this company was excellent and I received a detailed survey as well as a very reasonable quote within twenty four hours, as promised. The measures taken have solved the problem. The work Adrian did outside the property was outstanding: a French drain he installed looks very smart and he also fixed an issue we had with collapsing block paving. I would highly recommend Seal the Damp and I will definitely use them again. Finding a company like this really gives you peace of mind.

Really pleased with work completed. Initial survey was informative and thorough but not too pushy. Guys who completed the job were very friendly and obviously knew their stuff, they encountered a few unforeseen issues but managed these while keeping us well informed along the way. Highly recommend!

We were very pleased with the service we received from Seal the Damp. We received the quote promptly and the work was carried out within a few weeks. Adam and John were very friendly and considerate and the work was carried out to a high standard. Highly recommended!

Brilliant from start to finish. Left a message on the answer machine. They replied very quickly. Turned up when they said they would come. Very clean and tidy job. Can't fault Adrian and the guys x Would definitely recommend them x

Excellent communication and professional advice how to best handle a difficult damp issue in an old and empty building prior to renovation. Seal the Damp did a very good job with the sealing.

Rising damp on internal walls I sent 6 requests and only one answered so I've asked them to come and look and estimate the job , let's see how it goes, I might be back ? You can't judge someone by a few words on a website. I'm a little disappointed so far maybe I anticipated too much ? Or am I not being realistic?!

Very professional and friendly, did a really good job sorting out the damp walls in the hall of our 150 year old stone house. Plan to use them again.

We had a water ingress problem into our cellar which other companies had failed to rectify. Seal the Damp identified the root cause and expertly solved the problem. Despite having to manually remove paving slabs and dig trenches to install membranes everything was replaced identically and perfectly. The team were informative and professional at all stages and to cap it all they completed the work earlier than anticipated and gave a discount from the estimated quote!! We would highly recommend this company to anybody requiring their services.

Excellent service, did a thorough check of all the rooms suspected damp problems, including roof and guttering. Taking photos and explaining any potential issue that may arise in the future. Will be my first stop.

We had water ingress at the join of the wall and brick in our garage, which made leaving anything in there over winter impossible. Rusty everything, mouldy everything. Adrian came to give us the various methods that could be used to prevent the water from leaking in. He was knowledgeable and clearly explained how each method would be carried out. We opted for an epoxy resin coating which would seal the surface. We initially booked dates in, but because of the good old British weather, we had to move them around a few times. Seal the Damp were happy to wait until we’d had a dry period, then they sent someone out the day after. John came over on two separate days to put the primer and epoxy down. The garage is now dry and we can start moving our clutter back in! All in all, a lovely company with lovely people. Thank you!!!

We can’t thank seal the damp enough for there sponsorship of our Grimsby cue masters snooker academy. To have such an amazing company whose attention to detail is second to none is an honour! There support is greatly appreciated and will help us to help the young students of all abilities to progress

I can’t thank Adrian and the helpful lady in the office enough for their time (not charged) knowledge and putting ours and our buyers at ease. We are in the process of selling our property and our buyers wanted a damp survey carried out, which is understandable on a very old cottage. The company they instructed (who charged for the survey) would not show us the readings as they were taken and didn’t include them on their survey, which we found unsettling. They then put in a ridiculous quote to have our damp issues rectified. This prompted our buyers to be very concerned and asked for the cost to be taken off our sale price. We decided to contact Seal The Damp for a second opinion, who came out for free, let us see the readings as they were taken and our fears were confirmed about the first company; they’d misled our buyers and put in a quote to remove plaster on a huge expanse of wall unnecessarily. More importantly, they made our lovely cottage look in bad condition. The end result, our buyers are happy, and they will be having the work done by Seal The Damp, at half the cost and is guaranteed. Highly recommend them.

Excellent, courteous and very efficient service as the survey was carried out exactly as booked. The engineer showed great knowledge and came up with all sorts of practical tips for other related problems and a reassuring solution to the main reason for the call. We look forward to this company resolving our problem.

Adrian was very informative + helpful . Knew exqctly what cause of damp was + how to treat it .

They did an amazing job. Super helpful, professional and always available to advise. I was really impressed.

Seal the Damp have been absolutely fantastic in resolving the damp issues at our property. They worked in four rooms within the week they were here and have been brilliant in all of them. The finish is great and, although it's early days, hopefully the problem is resolved. The communication has been excellent, especially considering we've never actually met face-to-face due to work commitments. Considering the amount of plaster removed and reapplied, in addition to the actual damp-proofing process, we're incredibly impressed with how the tidy the house was at the end of each day. The team are true professionals and I don't hesitate to recommend them to others.

A fantastic service provided by the team, it is a messy job but the guys kept it as tidy as they possibly could and always cleaned up at the end of each day. A very friendly team and couldn't do enough, especially Adam! We had a small problem afterwards and they came back to have a look within a few days of contacting them and then the work was carried out the very next day, could not have received better service! Thank you :)

At the beginning of June the Seal Team arrived to put a new damp proof course in the understairs cupboards and utility room. .It took 3 days during which time the team were exceptional. Very professional friendly and explained as they went along. Kept mess to a minimum and put plastic sheeting on the stairs to prevent dust going upwards. ( thank you John!) I was very impressed and would not hesitate to recommend the company to others. All shelving etc was put back exactly as before ( thank you Adam!) Also thanks Adie for the survey and advice. Great job 👍

Great service, out promptly to look at a damp patch that appeared on our wall. Assessed and returned to do the job in the same week. Can't ask more than that. Thank you.

Exceptional service from start to finish!! The whole team who came out to initial assess the work and then carry out the job were totally professional, courteous and polite at all times. Did a fantastic job and cleaned up after themselves every day. Workforce are a credit to this company and would definitely recommend.

Adrian from Seal The Damp came to assess a damp problem at my house. He was polite, friendly and approachable. He was very thorough and knowledgeable and spent a decent amount of time to ensure that the cause he identified was the only problem. He then gave me good advice on how to proceed with the repair and he sent me two detailed photos of the affected area. I am very impressed with this local family run company and would have no hesitation in giving them a 5 star review and my highest recommendation

There’s a reason for so many 5⭐️ reviews, this company is faultless! From the initial contact, having the job done, it was all carried out in such a friendly & efficient way. Adam arrived on time and I have never had such a tidy tradesman in my house. I had a small issue after the job was finished and it was resolved within 24 hours of me raising it. Customer service is certainly a priority here. Well done to all the team, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you. Thank you

Damp course issue Quoted and completed. Very friendly and professional, organised and did a very tidy job injecting to rectify damp course degradation on the original parts of the house. Really nice family run company.

Seal the Damp were prompt, professional and perfectly clear in the information they provided and the advice they gave to help us tackle our internal wall/floor damp problem. Friendly and easy to speak with, we would not hesitate to recommend them to others. Excellent website, too! So clear and easy to navigate.

We recently purchased a 1930's house with its fair Share of damp issues. We contacted Seal the Damp and the popped around to assess and quote for the work needed. Can't fault the service from start to finish. Friendly and polite staff. Work seems to be of a good standard and all debris etc was cleaned out and taken away. 10/10 recommendation! 👍💪

This company has been truly excellent from start to finish. I found them through a recommendation on Facebook after being let down by someone from Checkatrade. Adrian came out to assess the work and provide a quote, and he explained everything in a really clear and easy-to-understand way. Kellie was great with emailing the quote, scheduling the work, and handling the invoice. The job was carried out by Adrian and Leo over two days. They arrived on time, did a fantastic job, and were incredibly clean and tidy throughout. On top of that, they were absolutely lovely—so friendly and chatty. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and would definitely use them again in the future.

🦭Glowing reviews for this business!🦭 From Adrian coming out to complete the survey, Kellie on the other end of the line in the office, to Adam and John completing the job, everyone has been great. Each member of the team I spoke to offered good knowledge, communication, and a thorough overview of the work that had been carried out. Trust worthy and a reliable business. From start to finish a good experience! Thank you to all the Seal crew at Seal the Damp for solving my damp issues in my home! I will be 100% recommended you to others☺️

I can't recommend seal the Damp highly enough. They were super polite, fast and efficient and there was no mess.

Excellent service from Seal The Damp. I can totally recommend them for any damp problems you may have.

From the initial appointment to assess our damp issues to the end result has left us absolutely speechless! We were really concerned that our damp was going to entail major work. We were reassured from the start. We were emailed a quote and given a date to start works in a few days. Their workmanship is the best we have ever seen (we have had major Reno works done). The employee's are a pleasure. Adam kept all his work dust to an absolute minimum and left my home pristine! John was a lovely chap who has years of knowledge and like Adam, they both took pride in their work. Leo who came to plaster worked so hard and completed our walls to an amazing standard. He also left my home immaculate. I would not hesitate to recommend Seal the Damp. If there was a 10* option they would deserve it! There are not many tradesman that provide such a high standard of service and we can't thank you enough.

I cannot recommend Seal the Damp highly enough. Having been late down by another company I reached out to Seal the Damp. Loved that I could communicate via text. When Adrian came to my house I felt he was respectful and knowledgeable. Adrian gave an honest evaluation of the status of my property and offered solutions that he could provide or alternatives. Very much appreciated.

Excellent work received from start to finish, prompt quote received and was able to start urgently as requested,so clean and tidy, cleaned up everyday.Wil definitely use again highly recommended. Thanks.

A five star company with five star staff who provide a five star service from start to finish. Leo has worked so hard all week at my house to fix the damp I've had since moving in last July. He's done a sterling job, getting through a lot of work on his own each day and has finished each room to an excelled level. Leo was extremely polite, very informative and I really appreciated how he tidied and cleaned at the end of every day. It's reassuring to know that the work done by Seal the Damp has fixed this issue that I've had for months and was getting me quite down! I couldn't recommend them enough, and definitely would advocate for Leo as employee of the month! Thanks guys.

Great service from Adrian who came out to us today. Genuinely lovely company who want to help and are knowledgeable! Definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

Every member of their team has been great from booking in to getting the work done. Top quality finish very happy with the results. As if that wasn’t enough they went above and beyond what they quoted, adding in extra work free of charge! Highly recommend !

Excellent team, the guys came and got the work done in the stated time frame, actually a day early. Lovely polite young men. Really pleased with final result. Thank you SEAL THE DAMP. would certainly recommend you.

Adrian was such an informative guy. Very polite, took his shoes off and made us very assured we didn't have any major damp problems. He gave us advice before decorating to use anti-mould additives to add to paint and wallpaper paste, which we have ordered through his Company. He also recommended to take off the trim from our PVC windows and reseal them with waterproof sealant. No hard sell, just great advice and after checking all the affected areas with digital damp sensors, no sign of rising damp. Very reassuring, great customer service. Would recommend him to anyone we know.

Highly recommend Seal the Damp. Had an issue and no idea what it was and they diagnosed, quoted and explained everything so I knew I was getting good value for money. Two lovely professional workmen came to carry out the work on time and did an excellent job. I’d certainly use again.

From the initial survey of our issue a plan of work required was agreed with a start date. On the start date Adam turned up bright and early and cracked on and completed the job to a very high standard with no mess and he was a lovely lad. I would recommend Seal the damp without hesitation and would use them again if required.

Brilliant job finished today the guys were really lovely and cleaned up every night after themselves from the survey to the finished job perfect thanks again guys keep up the good work and all the best for the future 👍

Very helpful and came when they said they would, provided a fast quote and set the date for the work to be completed. Sent a message to confirm their arrival time and turned up as promised. Work carried out. We are very pleased with the results and would highly recommend seal the deal . Thank you Mrs Crawford on behalf of my mum.

Great surveyor who came to my house to asses the rising damp on my walls. So polite and explained in detail what the problem is and what they will do. I was very impressed and will get them to do the job would recommend. Isobel

A very friendly man arrived on time to review our damp problems. His eqipment told him that our problems were not as great as he had expected. He gave us advice on how to deal with the problem ourselves in the hope that we won't need to pay for his services for the time being. The cost of his advice was nothing. What excellent service. When we need more help guess who we will call - Seal the Damp

efficient and most importantly were reliable. We highly recommend. Professional from start to finish.

Great from start to finish. Seal the Damp did a damp survey for a nominal fee before we purchased our property, quoted promptly and then honoured that quote past the expiry date, when the property purchase dragged out. Ady and Leo were friendly, tidy and professional, and explained everything they were doing. Left the skirtings neatly replaced and caulked, and did an equally neat job outside. Top marks. Thanks guys! Would def recommend!

Excellent service

Very happy with all aspects of the excellent service provided by Seal the Damp. From the initial inspection, clearly explaining the issue causing the damp and leaving everything clean and tidy after the work was completed, thank you!

Excellent knowledge and advice from the beginning. Prompt and efficient service when the job was done. Fitted it in when the tenant was on holiday. Would recommend

Definately worth 5 stars. From the initial survey done by Adrian to the injection done by Adam and the roof work, pointing and painting done by Adrian, Adam and Leo. The whole process has been done very professionally to a high standard. Thank you all. Also thank you to Kellie for the regular updates.

from the first meeting with Seal the Damp at our bungalow we were impressed with the knowledge, professionalism, consideration and friendliness of the employees of this company. Our problem was diagnosed and an affordable solution explained to us. They arrived as promised on the day as arranged. The work was carried out and when finished everything explained to us. The room was left very clean and all work was undertaken carefully and with consideration for us and our property. We would recommend anyone who suspects they may have a damp problem to contact Seal the Damp in the first instance. we don't think you will get a better cheaper solution to your problem.

Quick to respond to all enquiries and later messages. Ady and Kellie are really helpful and answered all my questions. Everything was left clean and tidy after the team helped with pretty extensive damp issues. I'm happy to recommend Seal The Damp for their attentiveness without being pushy, and a good standard of workmanship. Many Thanks!

Adrian called, on time as arranged, and carried out a number of tests. He then discussed the cause of our damp and gave us various options to consider. He was knowledgeable and helpful and his honest advice was very helpful to us. There was no pressure put on us at all and I would recommend this company for a survey.

Very professional, very friendly, explained everything to us in full detail. Very happy to now go ahead with the work to be carried out.

Seal the Damp worked on our small basement area after it was flooded. Really happy with their service and work from start to finish. Lovely team, always easy to deal with. We feel really confident that what they've installed will keep us watertight for the future! Highly recommend.

What a fantastic company! We bought our house with the level 2 survey saying there was significant damp. Some builders tried to resolve the issue but couldn't so we contacted Seal the Damp after doing some research and decided to get a quote. The guy who came round to look at the work was extremely polite and explained things in a way I understood. He explained what work would need to take place, how long it would take and about the 10 year guarantee. He also gave some great suggestions about what else we could do ourselves to help with the damp issue such as about ventilation and heating etc... A few days later, we were given a detailed report and a clear plan of the work which would be carried out. Happy with the price, we booked Seal the Damp to carry out the work. They originally couldn't fit us in for 3 months, however, we sympathetic to our situation and managed to fit the job in around others for which we are extremely grateful! We have absolutely no reservations in recommending Seal the Damp to anyone. From the initial contact with the office to the quote and report being given to the work being carried out - everyone was perfect and spot on! It is clear that everyone in the business takes pride in their work and are truly there for the customer. Highly recommend! Thank you for solving our damp issue. We are now about 3 months down the line and no damp / wet has reappeared! Thank you Seal the Damp!

I was dreading having the work done, with all the dust. They cleaned up each day, made a good job of the walls. Turned up on time & polite. I would recommend them, nice family firm.

Excellent experience from start to finish. Survey carried out and cost of the task in hand was sent over to us. Date was arranged for the work to commence and they turned up when they said they would on time. At the end of each day the place was left exceptionally clean. The job was completed on the final day when they said it would be with no overrunning and no extra charges for “hidden problems” again to extremely high standards of cleanliness and an expert finish. Well done ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Very knowledgeable and explained exactly what would help us and why. Work completed to a high standard and left area tidy afterwards. Would highly recommend if you are having damp issues or looking at preventative measures.

Such a great job recently done by Ady and Adam. They have renewed our damp proof course with very limited disruption to us and certainly no mess at all. Their work is exemplary and we look forward to them coming back to do another job for us in the next few weeks and we have further work we would like them to do in the future. We can’t recommended them highly enough and we are so pleased we saw them advertise and used their service. Thank you very much

Would like to thank Adi, Adam and Kellie for providing a great service and for managing to fit us in at short notice. Adi arrived first thing in the morning, explained the work he was going to carry out and how long this would take. Left everything tidy and made us feel a lot better that our damp issue isn't as bad as we were thinking. Would thoroughly recommend this local family business "Seal "the Damp.

Great service and work. Very pleased with everything.

I dealt with Seal the damp whilst looking to buy a property, they were really helpful in answering my questions and offering the support requested, they helped me understand what the issues with the property were and a ballpark cost to fix

Quick response when I first emailed them. Very friendly and communicative. The visit from Adrian was informative and professional. He explained everything clearly.

Trying to get contractors to even turn up these days is a major task, Adrian came bang on time when he said he was going to and was extremely professional and knowledgeable about several problem areas we have. Would not hesitate to recommend, between himself and his wife Kellie, who organises all the appointments and communicates with the customers, I feel extremely confident they will fix all our damp issues.
