Orchid Energy Ltd

Orchid Energy, led by Richard, installed a solar PV system whilst our roof was being replaced last summer. Richard and his team were very helpful and professional throughout, from the initial quote through to undertaking the work. He also replaced our elderly fuse box. I highly recommend Orchid Energy to others.

Richard and his team at Orchid are true professionals. They worked up a proposal for our 10 block listed apartment complex, answered all questions clearly and promptly and went above and beyond to attend our AGM and explain details to residents. Richard understands the physical and technical side incredibly well and takes the time to give the customer confidence. Very much recommend them.

Great company, would highly recommend for new solar panels. All very easy from quote through to installation. Very tidy work and lots of knowledge.

Have used Orchid 3 times over the last few years and they've been excellent each time

Great installation team . Happy with job . On time no fuss

Orchid Energy installed solar and battery at my property in 2025. We were very impressed with the service provided and have recently had them return to add further solar panels and an additional battery, following the installation of a heat pump. Their work is of a high standard and they have left our home tidy at all times. We have saved a significant amount on electricity bills and would highly recommend Orchid Energy.

Richard and the team have provided a number of electrical services to me, and I always had fantastic service before, during & after. It's great to be able to use local tradesman. 5* prices, 5* service, 5* workmanship. Would wholeheartedly recommend Orchid Energy.

I’ve worked with Orchid energy many times over the years and can’t recommend them highly enough. They have helped me with a wide range of jobs, from troubleshooting and fixing electrical issues to installing CCTV, alarms, a fireplace, home entertainment systems, and running network cables throughout the house. Every job has been completed to an exceptionally high standard. They are knowledgeable, reliable, and always takes the time to explain things clearly, offering practical advice and smart solutions. In recent years, They have expanded their services to include solar panel installations and electric car charging, and the same level of expertise and professionalism applies there as well. It’s been great to continue working with someone who keeps up with new technology and delivers consistently excellent results. I trust their work completely and would confidently recommend them to anyone looking for a skilled, dependable, and forward-thinking electrician.

Richard was excellent on all fronts. He was pleasant to deal with, answered a never-ending stream of questions from me and (quite important for me) was a LOT cheaper than the national installers. We ended up getting a 10kWh battery plus panels and an EVCP installed in a way that hid the battery from sight, which was nice. This involved digging a trench, so extra cost and time, but it was all done in a couple of days in the end. We talked on the phone and I sent pictures over, so I was a little worried that something would come up on site, but it all worked out fine in the end. Richard was probably my 10th quote after a year of searching/considering going ahead. He had the next gen GivEnegy battery, which I’m glad I went for at the time, and all the options/prices were clear from the start. Would highly recommend as a low cost but also high quality option for a solar+battery installation.

Another great job completed by Richard and his company Orchid Energy. Richard gave a prompt quote and the work was organised seamlessly. Two of his team carried out the instillation perfectly, arrived on time, were polite and professional and everything carried out as agreed. The price quoted was the price I was invoiced. This company came recommended because they are honest and reliable, and that was the exact service I received. Highly recommended.

During 2025 we looked into a pv systems , contacted several local installers close to home, none actually turned up. I came across Orchid Energy, from the start they provided excellent answers to my many questions, references from previous installations , which we spoke to . A system was designed, and installed in December 2025 . We have to say to date the system , and support provided by Richard and the team has been very good. Already the system is reducing our electricity costs , so much so that last week we had them back to install a second 9.5kw battery, and soon a second inverter. We would highly recommend them for any PV solutions

Professional install of my solar/battery set up from Richard and his team. Highly recommend!

Richard and his team at Orchid Energy have installed my solar power and battery system. They have done an excellent job. I was very happy also with advice and guidance before I placed my order so I could get the right system for my needs. As a Woking resident I am also very pleased to be able to use a local company.

Great company, great people. Super impressed with the personalised feel to all processes. Always feel that they treat all customers with care and attention. Highly recommend!
