From the first consultation via telephone, customer service, fitting of solar panels and fitting of battery storage hookup etc….. would definitely recommend this company for solar panels. Everyone from start to finish who were involved were professional and approachable.

Installation of our system was extraordinarily slick: scaffolding Tuesday; 10 panels, three batteries, inverter and EV charger Wednesday; scaffolding away Thursday. Early days but everything is working as it should and I'm glad we got in on the Switch Together scheme and had everything up and running before winter really sets in. Three minor issues: a broken roof tile, a broken gutter bracket and displaced guttering. The installation team held their hands up to the tile, but no-one has admitted responsibilty for the gutter.

While all four teams worked diligently (surveyor, scaffolders, Solar panel installers, and electricians) , they were not coordinated. The surveyors predicted layout bore no relation to the installers layout, and the batteries and inverter were installed where the electricians wanted to put them, not where I wanted them put. As a result, I now have difficulty getting out of my car, as the door will not open far enough because of the battery. Also, they all seemed to be in a hurry, and explanation of the technology was too fast. Their workmanship was good, but now the battery inconveniences me.

We started looking into getting solar and requested 10 quotes from different suppliers. Solar express came out on top, also because of Jarvis who was of great help. Installation was quick and they did a brilliant job: nice and centered on the roof. Their system is up and running now and so far it's all smooth sailing.

Great service and price, both the roofing team and electrician were first class, photos shown of the roof before and after panels installed to show no damage etc, all packaging etc removed and everything tidy, We had various quotes and Solarxpress came in with the best quote and better equipment. I recently had a the Canadian Solar EP Cube installed by Solar Xpress. I have been extremely impressed with the process from start to finish. The communication from the team (notably Tom and Liam) was very good and the installation was faultless. I would highly recommend Solar Xpress.

A very efficient and friendly overall experience. Ollie on the sales team was very helpful and we decided on 20 panels and a 15kw Canadian Solar battery. Price was very competitive and the clincher was them being an Octopus trusted partner. Ollie was able to fix the price for three months until we had carried out some roof work on our old Victorian house. Installation was very efficient, the battery and cabling was great and the panels team did a super job. All cleaned up nicely as well!

We have recently had a solar and battery installation from Solar Xpress and have found them to be great. From our initial contact with their sales team to final installation we have had no complaints. Whenever we have had contact with them, they had taken time to explain what was happening and how we were going to proceed. Our installation went without an issues, Solar Xpress fitting team arrived on the morning and started work immediately. The fitting team explained how they were planning the layout of panels and they liaised with us to ensure that the layout was satisfactory. The panels have all been neatly installed and wiring all neat and tidy. We also had the bird guarding installed and this was done very neatly and secure. The electrical installation side was also great, very tidy workmanship, with cabling neat and tidy with all mess cleared away when they left. Altogether a great installation team.

Totally shocking waste of time. Trying to get a quote. Called late, no apologies, spent 5 minutes failing to find my house on google earth, got frustrated, swore a bit, decided I couldn’t fit panels (loads of space), bit more swearing and that was it. No chance I’m letting them actually near the house.

Buying and fitting the battery was a very easy process all went smooth and the mineral came to fit the battery. Very polite and professional. First class service would highly recommend.

Excellent work! Scaffolding up one day, solar panels installed the next, scaffolding down the day following. Very efficient. The install is done by two teams - the Electrician Team to do the connectivity elements, and the Solar Panel team to actually go out on the roof and do the fixing of the panels themselves. All work completed, all rubbish removed, handover completed. Highly recommended

Honest Review of Solar Xpress Overall, I’m happy with the actual installation and performance of the system, but there have been some significant issues with the sales information and administration that I think Solar Xpress could improve on. I had a 15kWh EP Cube battery and inverter installed, along with 10 × 465W solar panels. The installation itself went smoothly and I have no complaints about the quality of the work or the installation team. My only issue on the day was that the installers weren’t aware that I had paid for bird guarding, so this had to be addressed separately. Where I have been disappointed is with the information I was given by the salesperson when the system was designed and sold to me. I was told that the system would provide backup power if the grid went down and that I would be able to force-discharge the battery to the grid. Unfortunately, neither of these functions is currently possible with the EP Cube system. I feel this is important because these were features that influenced my decision to purchase the system, so I would expect the capabilities of the equipment to be explained accurately before the sale. There was also an administrative issue with my G99 application. My system was installed in mid-May, but the application was initially submitted to the wrong DNO. This resulted in a significant delay, and the application has only just been approved by the correct DNO today. I appreciate that Solar Xpress did financially compensate me £200 for the loss of earnings caused by the delay, which I think was a fair gesture and is worth mentioning. So, to be fair, I have no complaints about the actual system or the quality of the installation. The panels, battery, inverter and installation have been good. My main concerns are with the communication, administration and, most importantly, ensuring that customers are given accurate information about what the system can and cannot do before they commit to purchasing. I would still recommend Solar Xpress based on the installation itself, but I would strongly advise potential customers to independently check the exact capabilities of the equipment and make sure any promised features are confirmed in writing before signing up. Overall: good installation, but the sales information and administration need improvement. Update - in responce to solar xpress reply to this review I did reach out via email the same day. No reply was given so make of that as you will in terms of reliability

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great experience with Solar Express from start to finish. After our initial discussions and making our decision, they were able to install our battery just a week later, which was fantastic. We chose EP cube, and initially we were a little worried that it might be too big for our home. However, once installed, it actually looks great and fits perfectly. Most importantly, it seems to be working really well and is already helping us save on our electricity costs. The after-sales service has also been fantastic. The team made sure everything went smoothly with the installation and followed up to make sure we were happy with everything. That level of customer service really makes a difference. We’re very happy with our decision and would definitely recommend Solar Express to others considering a battery system. Hopefully, 10–15 years from now, they’ll still be providing the same fantastic customer service! 😊

Very pleased with solar Xpress service

Throughout the installation process Solarxpress has been professional, efficient and helpful. Phone calls have been returned as promised, appointments kept and the post-installation admin started within minutes of payment. The whole process from our expressing an interest to installation was probably completed in under two months. The fitting team was excellent, despite the torrential rain, and kept us informed of progress throughout the installation process. They also helped set up the app to monitor the system. It was clear everyone was proud of their work and keen to provide good customer service. Having seen neighbours' installations taking days, if not weeks, it was great our admittedly simple installation was completed in a few hours. Probably cheaper too! Overall no complaints with Solarxpress and we would recommend them without hesitation. Now if only the sun would shine again...

Solar Express installed panels, battery and inverter last year, which I was happy with, but recently I chose to have the battery and inverter relocated. It was done promptly, and the two electricians who came were very professional and tidy. They were also considerate of my carpets!

Very unimpressed. We booked an install in February 2026 - the team continued to work into the night with inadequate lighting - and we ended up with a very poor install. we immediately had leaks, and it took over 3 months to fix. The quality of the install remains very poor - we have been repeatedly promised a full re-install - but instead the team comes down, does a short patch, and then leaves with no communication. We have also been repeatedly promised a repainting of our damp-marked ceiling - this has still not happened (August 2026). it’s taken 6 months to get an export tariff set up - partly related to the failure of Solar Xpress to send me the diagrams required to set this up. I complained through the formal complaint mechanism; however, never heard back from the team.

Unfortunately, although Solar Express installed my panels, the contact and communication since has been diabolical. Paid for an extended warranty which they are quick to take and then nothing but excuses.

Brad the electrician did a brilliant, neat job and was informative and respectful of the house throughout the install. Seb the roofer was fast and efficient too. The information received before deciding on the supplier and product was excellent. I decided to use Solar xpress to fit a Ep Solar 15 kw battery system to my existing 16 panel solar system. The engineer turned up on time and informed me of the installation procedure he carried out the installation in about 4 hours to a very high standard. The installation was very neat and tidy and worked straight away he explained how to operate the system and departed leaving me very happily with the installation. The system is working great and cannot fault the sales and installation teams and would highly recomend this company and product.

Overall a positive experience and a good price with flexible payment options. Installation was a little chaotic and ended up with fewer panels than planned but it works and we are generating enough solar (it's a summer heatwave) to power the house with the use of a battery.

Solar batteries installed on 24th June, wanted to wait a week or so to feedback. Installers friendly and efficient, batteries installed outside in the shade and not an eyesore. Used Solar Xpress technical team to help with the User app and programming the batteries to match my energy supplier low rates. Within a week our energy usage, and we only have electricity, has dropped to less than a pound a day, that's not a typo, our Standing Charge is now higher than our energy costs. Ok it's summer and things will change but I'm very happy that I invested, the very reasonable installation costs, long may the sun shine.

Very impressed with the whole experience of solar xpress. From the initial enquiry thought to the installation. When we enquired about solar system the contact (Tommy) was very professional and did not push us into anything, he gave us time to consider without constantly calling. The installation teams, the electricians where a joy to watch, very polite and informative. The panels team came and got on with the job and within no time completed the panels and connected them up to the system. Advertised a system with Bluetooth and WiFi schedule,they after recieving my £8500 have now blocked me from a local connection to inverter referring the system a very expensive brick

Absolutely brilliant company to deal with. I did a lot of research before taking the plunge and ordered 15kw Ep Cube set up. No one could get near them price match wise and even the supplier was amazed how cheap the set up was. Brad and his mate fitted it in about 4 hours, some well known companies were quoting 2-3 days!!!! Overall excellent and I've passed details on to several of my friends who are going to use them.....

We started the renewables journey back in 2021 with 12 Solar panels and an EV. in 2021 a solar battery was outside our budget but as the renewables landscape has changed we decided to invest. We contacted 7 different suppliers including SolarXpress, regrettably 3 never replied, one wanted to add more solar panels, one didn't keep the online survey appointment and we were therefore left with two quotations. SolarXpress listened to our requirements: 1) Modular Set up to add more Kw later 2) A reliable manufacturer with better than average reviews. 3) Compact design They recommend the Canadian Solar EP Cube 2 which in 2025 was in the top five solar battery products. It also ticked our other boxes. Online survey was easy, installation was booked and less than 2 hours later we were operational. Everything works in tandem with our solar panels, we can charge the battery and the EV on Octopus overnight cheap rate and with the current weather conditions were are selling lots of power back to the grid and keeping the EP Cube topped up to 100% I'm over 60 and with a little bit of help from SolarXpress After Sales Team I'm fully on board with EP Cube App which shows us how much we are saving on a daily and monthly basis. Staff at all levels of the company are pleasant and efficient, they don't treat you like another order number but a paying customer. SolarXpress offered the best quotation and a better solution. Just over two weeks into our installation and we remain delighted

Had these guys do a Hypervolt EV charger for us a while ago and they were that good we had them back again to fit us a house battery system for our existing solar system, great set of lads, great after care and they go above and beyond for you. If they did air conditioning we'd be having them back again to do that too.

Flawless process from Steven at design to the electricians. The roofers got hugely delayed but still completed 95% of the work on the day. Kit is awesome and the team are great everyone I call! 100% recommend and cannot wait for the heat pump install next!

We are very satisfied with the installation of our solar panels. However, we were somewhat disappointed with the communication regarding the schedule. We were initially informed that the team would arrive between 9 AM and 1 PM. A family member took the day off work to be present. When no one had arrived by 2 PM, we contacted the company and were informed of a delay. The installation team eventually arrived at 5 PM to begin work on the solar panels but the electrician was unable to attend until the following day. They arrived at 10 AM, despite being scheduled for 12 PM. While we understand that delays can occur, it would have been beneficial to be notified of these delays in a more timely manner. We would like to commend the installation team for their professionalism and for ensuring the work area was clean upon completion.

George and William were at my home at 9 30am having driven from Doncaster 155 miles away. They worked quickly and efficiently and by 12 30 they were on their way with the battery system, the EPCube, up and running. A detailed explanation was given as to how it worked before they left for another installation. I was impressed by the ease with which I could check its operation on the app. The next day the blue light was flashing, indicating a problem. I searched online and was surprised to find that a help service was available in Canada. However an email to Solarxpress produced an immediate response and the problem, which required resetting the charging times, was fixed remotely. Now, one hour before charging at the low night rate is due to start, the battery still has a 31% charge so I should not have to pay the daytime expensive rate for electricity in future. Installing a battery, even without solar panels, is a no-brainer.

From initial enquiry to complete installation totally seamless. Great explanation of system required from Tom quote clear was concise and simple to understand and excellent value. After order handed over to installation team which was handled by Charlotte and again seamless. Date agreed for installation which was accommodated to our requirements on the day of installation the team Turned consisted of two solar panel fitters and one electrician. Quality of the work is very neat and tidy and excellent , everything was cleaned up afterwards , installation team a credit to solar express .

I recently had an EP cube system installed by Solar Xpress, and the installation process was quick, efficient, and hassle free. I did experience a couple of frustrating issues afterwards with the EP-Cube app and battery charging, especially considering the amount of money invested in the system. However, the outstanding customer service made up for it. A huge thank you to Temi, who was an absolute star. He took the time to answer all of my questions, clearly explained how the app works, guided me through all the different configurations to use the system to make the most of it, and even provided step by step instructions to make everything easy to follow. Had the E cube solar batteries fitted . All went well . Price was good and workmanship fine . Case had a scratch on after removal of protective film and was replaced all in all highly recommend them.

Generally a good company to work with. They did need a little nudging as to when an install date could be booked for ( i guess with whats going on in energy market currently they are very busy) The lads that did the install were great. Minor niggle was that they were unaware they were coming to an old stone roof and so had to leave site to get long enough screws- which it turns out were plenty long enough as 6 went through our ceiling. the lads trimmed these down and filled the holes which i requested and they were more than happy to do. They said they would also paint them but at 7 at nigh having arrived at 10am we had all had enough. I had as requested sent photos of our property but the install team were not informed so some internal process systems could be improved. So generally good as it stands. Await to see if the products stand the test of time which i hope they do.

I have had a Canadian Solar EP Cube home battery system installed by Solar Xpress the service was excellent. When I contacted Solar Xpress from an advert on Facebook a guy called Oliver explained the options with me as I already have solar panels he advised me of the system I would require I placed the order with Oliver who advised me it could take up to 6 to 8 weeks for installation but they contacted me for some pictures of the electrical installation in my house then they booked the installation for a couple of days after this phone call the total time was less than 2 weeks so I was very impressed at the prompt installation. The installation team were friendly and very efficient the installation took about 3 hours to complete and they cleaned up and took all the packaging for recycling. We had one little problem in that when my car started charging the battery system went into a fault condition with an error message. I contacted Solar Xpress but as it was a bank holiday they were out of the office until the following Tuesday but they very swiftly sorted the problem which turned out to be a setting in the installer menu that was set too low. The system is now working very well and saving me money on my electricity bill. I referred a friend who was also looking at getting a solar and battery system. He ordered his system from the referral and as such I got a nice little referral bonus which means I got an effective discount on my system. I would recommend Solar Xpress to anyone considering getting solar panels and or a home battery system installed.

The team from SolarXpress were fantastic from start to finish. The initial meeting with Steve to discuss our options was informative and our options were clearly explained with a clear proposal. We decided on the Tesal PowerWall 3 with a 9kW Solar system as this worked and integrates well with our EV, EV Charger and Intelligent Octopus. There was no pressure sales follow up by the team, just one short follow up call aweek later to see if we had any quetions. Our installation was booked quickly and the team turned up on time with a very high quality final installation. Follow up communication with a few teething problems have been very quickly resolved and the system is working as promissed.

The fitters arrived in good time, despite a long journey for them. They were friendly, polite, tidy and efficient; taking all of the waste packaging away with them. After the installation, they explained everything fully. I had a small problem with the battery the next day. This was due to a software update and was resolved fully following a quick phone call. All in all, a positive experience from start to finish.

SolarXpress recently installed solar panels and a battery at my house and we couldn't be more pleased about the results! It was a little bit of a bumpy process up until fitting. I was recommended a location for the panels initially then after the site survey, that changed (fine, thats what a site survey is for) and then on the day of the install the installers didn't agree with the plan and recommended a completely different route. The last option was actually the one I preferred so was happy with it however the change in the recommendation did make me a feel a little worried that they weren't aligned. Overall though we're happy with the install (the fitters were great!) And we can already see the savings!

With solar panels already installed I enquired with various companies for home battery storage. Whilst I was bringing my own knowledge more up to date, Solar Xpress contacted me from my online enquiry. I am sometimes sceptical of this type of contact. However, "Daniel" the consultant had an excellent communicative style. Explaining different products but crucially listening to myself as the customer to identify my individual needs/queries. This made me far more receptive as opposed to being a forceful sale like I've experienced with other companies. There was an arranged follow up call, and again, Daniel was receptive to allow an appropriate timeframe around work demands etc. The price for a Canadian Solar 20kw battery system seemed very reasonable, and as important the reputable company of Solar Express from my own research. The installation was very swift the following week. The installer, might be "Michael" was excellent. Explaining the product and use with the app. I am now on day 4 of having the product, luckily it's been sunshine ever since and I am very pleased with the overall experience. I wasn't too sure to go for solar installation or not after getting few quotes from somewhere else, however, solar express gave me the cheapest offer which was undeniable. Installation was very quick and organised. Scaffolding team setup, panel and battery installation and scaffolding removing altogether three stage has been done separately within four days. Overall very good experience. Tom from the sales team was very helpful to this entire journey. Just waiting for the documentation to setup the outgoing account to enjoy the fullest. Highly recommended.

The overall experience has been positive however there was a lot of confusion on the day of install. Originally given a window of 9-10. I made contact at 10.30 and got a call back to say they would be after 1.30pm. installers arrived at after 3pm and said don't know why you were ever told 9-10 because you were never on as the first job of the day. Install went ahead and they Finnished in just a few hours but did leave quite a bit of waste to be tidied up after they left. The system itself went are really happy with and the workmanship is very tidy. Can't wait to get paperwork through so we can change tariff already discussing expanding the system, wish we went solar before now.

Dealing with Solar express was easy, the installation teams arrived, the roofing team took 3 hours to install two sets of panels 5 in the back and 7 in the front. They tidied up before leaving very professional team. After getting quotes from 10 different providers I decided to go with Solar Xpress. Tom was excellent from the outset in providing a competitive quote that met the solar panel and battery requirements I was after. The install itself was done in a very timely manner. Michael the electrician arrived on time and quickly came up with a solution on what was not a straight forward install. He also provided a lot of helpful advice and made sure I was set up correctly on the Duracell app. The panel installers Michael and Charlie did a a phenomenal job in really difficult weather conditions. The first day after the install was glorious though - see pictures! There was a minor issue with the Duracell reporting not picking up all 3 batteries. I got through to the Duracell support team and solar Xpress technical team straight away and the issue was sorted very quickly. I cannot fault the service provided by Solar Xpress and would highly recommend them.

Sent an enquiry and got a call from their call centre. They needed lots of info so I asked they email me so I could respond when back at home, but they couldn’t do that apparently. I said I was therefore not interested, but I’ve since had 6 phone calls from them trying to sell me. Each time I ask them not to contact me again. Company gets good reviews but my experience has been totally unprofessional.

Powerwall Expansion Pack Review After agreeing on a great deal, I was handed over to Liam, who arranged the installation and communicated clearly throughout. After sharing a few photos of my existing PW3, an installation date was quickly scheduled. The installation team arrived as planned, fitted the expansion pack efficiently, and did a great job overall. They left the area clean and tidy, taking all packaging away with them. Great experience with Solar Express. Provided plenty of information up front and adjusted the quote a few times as I considered different options. Believe they offered good value in terms of price and the install went very smoothly - only took about 4/5 hours from start to finish. I got 10 panels with a Duracell inverter and battery setup. Also been helpful afterwards clarifying few points with the app. Only been in a few weeks but all seems to be working well and im looking forward to sunnier days!

Solar Xpress were fantastic from start to finish. Compared with other companies, this company actually asked me about our consumption and what we want solar panels for. Steve then tailored us a solar package based on what we want and need. Compared to friends who used other firms (including major ones), we got more panels and a bigger battery for cheaper than their setup. Installation was quick and easy and we were set up in no time. We were kept updated throughout the process and we now produce solar and have cheaper energy bills. I recommend Solar Xpress.

Solar Xpress provided two of my properties with Solar Panels and batteries. I was very pleased with both systems which I thought to be of a high standard and good value. Richard who fitted the batteries was very mindful of placing the wires in the most appropriate place. Michael made a good job of fitting the solar panels on a very steep roof. There were a few issues but they got resolved professionally.

I had my initial installation done by Solarxpress and was very pleased in all respects. I decided on an additional battery which again was installed extremely quickly by a very competent and pleasant installer. I highly recommend Solarxpress.

Installers were great as was the electrician and the scaffolders. Quick, clean and tidy. I would have preferred a bit more from the office/admin side, initially I felt I was chasing them until I had decided to go for it, after that they were a bit overanxious to get it done, and I felt a bit rushed. Two issues further: 1. Bit of a shock to be told the installers would have to wait around and wouldn't leave until I had paid, because that was policy. More nervous people might have felt a bit intimidated. 2. I would have preferred more information on the inverter fitted as if I had known it would only produce 3000W maximum battery discharge, I might have gone for a bit bigger inverter, especially with a larger battery set up. Minor niggles though, all in all a satisfactory experience so far.

3months, still waiting for DNO approval, not entirely convinced it has gone in. Sold me a Heat Ideal ASHP, wasn't my first choice and as it turns out the controlling app doesn't work for the equipment they recommended so they moved it to homely app which is rubbish to say the least. Not the cheapest company, though we're easy to deal with and installs went quickly and well. Will change rating if I ever get DNO and the ASHP control app is updated. Update: got the DNO and required MCS certs now. As I mentioned the install etc went really well, pretty sure my issues are probably an unusual event.

Recently had 8 panels and a battery installed by Solar xpress. Whole process was stress free and very sufficient! The sales team were super friendly, knowledgeable and patient when I took some time before commencing with the proposal. On the day of installation the fitters and engineers were very friendly, tidy and kept me up to date with the process. They had to return the next day to fit the battery due to a supply shortage, but made sure to fit around my schedule and kept me updated. All working well and solar panels producing energy, so very pleased. I’ve received all aftercare documents and MCS certificates via email. Would definitely recommend Solar Xpress.

Although I have given 5 stars. They did not stick to the given time slot. I was actually pulling out of my drive when they arrived and had to cancel an appointment at the last minute. However they were efficient, friendly and helpful and completed the job in a timely manner.

The people who talked me through the installation and my options were great. The installers were also really good, helpful and informative. My friend nky gripe was not having the installation completed in one visit and logistic issues getting an installation date confirmed despite being told it would be a 2 week turnaround. This is the only reason I am not awarding 5 stars.

We have recently had solar panels installed through SolarXpress and are just gutted we didn’t get them years ago! The process was really swift, everyone who has visited our home whether to carry out initial assessment or as part of the installation team have been incredibly helpful and friendly. A really professional team that has checked in along the way. Our panels generate more electricity that we use, especially on sunny days where we will be benefiting from selling back to the grid. Our MSC certificate arrived within days. I highly recommend SolarXpress, give them a call if you are considering panels. It’s a great investment.

My order was cancelled as they misquoted me. I have been chasing the refund of my deposit for over a month.

I used this company to install my Tesla Powerwall 3. From quote to turnaround the job was very easy with them. I'm using mine for two purposes - one is the stormwatch feature built into the tesla powerwall (I have equipment at home that should not go down) and the other is to save money on energy. It is achieving both of those so, very happy. The install day - two friendly engineers turned up, did the work and did a handover with me when complete, they were very tidy & prompt having driven a long way. The only issue they ran into was their 20m patch lead (needed for initial setup only) was broken but I work in IT so gave them a new one. I had hoped they would install slightly sooner, as the date I was promised originally at sales time was not possible to be done, not a major issue but I do like to be organised and plan first time - the install happened less than a week later. I've called aftercare team once for some questions as I did not receive a follow up call (that engineer on the day said I would). This wasn't any major issue - since I knew I was due one I just called them and spoke over next steps with them, very friendly and helpful also. I have not got all my completion documents as yet (DNO) which takes a few weeks as it'll be via my energy supplier and I've not got my handover documents (coming via post). However, happy to leave the review now as I don't have any lack of faith they will turn up. To be brutally honest - Maybe not all 100% perfect but they have the most reasonable market rates and their team onsite did a good and tidy job. Overall, I definitely wouldn't complain and I'd use them again if I did decide to go down the solar route in future. Thanks team, Iain

Hi Had my battery fitted last Wednesday but at the the moment I can't make sense of the Dashboard, it's 10 am and sunny outside the Dashboard indicates nothing from PV nothing from or to the grid only indication is 475 watt charge to the battery but from where?? My Octopus app informs me I have used the amount of electricity I would consume before the battery was fitted,I hope not. I'm sure you can sort this out and it's only a glitch Kind regards Frank Cunnington

Example Review ⭐☆☆☆☆ I had a very bad experience with this company. Someone recommended them to me, so I contacted them to fix my solar panels. They took a deposit and promised everything was included in the price. When they came to fit the system, I saw the job was not done properly – no proper protection board, no training, and poor workmanship. When I raised these issues, I got no clear answers. Later they offered me a “discounted” battery and free board protection, but only if I paid another £2,000 deposit. I trusted them, but after paying they claimed their staff had defrauded me and said they could not do anything about my money. In total I lost £2,000 and still do not have the service I paid for. I feel this company misled me and treated me unfairly. Be very careful before giving them any money.

Solar Xpress organised everything from the erection of the scaffolding needed prior to installation through every aspect of the installation. The installation team who fitted the 14 Solar panels and the electrition who fitted the Inverter and battery all worked extremely hard and were very polite. Both teams cleaned up any mess made prior to their departure. So overall I was very pleased that things went smoothly and the system is up and running.

Solar panels and a battery. The roofers did a good job and left everything clean and tidy . The electricians did a good job clean and tidy job unfortunately after they left there was an issue with the battery wiring .I contacted Steve and the following day Jack arrived and quickly sorted the problem out .we'll pleased with the result , plenty of free electricity .

Initial sales call was informative. However, when I told the salesperson I decided to go with an alternative local installer, he became quite pushy asking for reasons why I would choose them ahead of Solar Express. We had solar system installed by Solar Xpress, the process was very easy from the initial call, consultations to agreeing to go ahead. On the actual day, the roofers and the electrician but completed the job by 3pm and I was up and running. The whole process was very easy. It has been 5 days since my installation and everything seems okay so far. The only issue that I have is that solar xpress did not mentioned or suggested 10kwh battery instead of the 5kwh that was proposed to me. I know that would be more expensive but installing a solar system is an expensive investment. I felt it would had made all sense to get 10kwh and maximas my investments. Our daily usage is just over 10kwh so I will most likely save more quicker. I know you can add it afterwards but it would have been much cheaper to do it at the same time rather than doing it on a later date. Beside that, my experience was all positive with solar Xpress.

What an efficient company. Initial paperwork was sorted very quickly, once this was done, installation started the next day. Very polite and friendly team, got on with the job and finished in 2.5hrs. Cleaned up and left no mess whatsoever. Showed me detailed photos of all the stages of fitting and explained about fittings and seals etc. Set up the app on my phone for me. That works great. Courtesy after call to make sure I was happy and am due a follow up visit next week just to make sure. Price is very reasonable indeed. I cannot recommend SOLAR XPRESS highly enough. Quick, Efficient, Inexpensive, Clean, Friendly. Altogether a company that cares.

A man called John phoned me and gave a proposal after a visit and suggested a 12 panel with battery system. As my 2011 PV system qualifies for the Government's Feed-in Tariff scheme (FIT), it was important that the addition of a battery to the system conformed with Ofgen requirements. It is possible to fit a separate battery/inverter to the system below the FIT meter without affecting the payment. However, after discussions with SolarXpress, I decided to replace the original inverter with a new hybrid version linked directly to a storage battery. This was a slightly more expensive option but added a new 10 year warranty to both the new inverter and battery. This involved the fitting of a bi-directional meter in place of the original FIT meter. SolarXpress understood the requirements but suggested that I advise EON, who manages my FIT payments. They have approved the new installation. In terms of the contact, advice and completion of the work, I have nothing but praise for the company. There was no 'pressure selling', the price was very competitive, my questions answered clearly, follow up has been good, and the installer replaced the inverter and installed the new battery in a morning - a week after I gave the go-ahead for the work. I specifically chose SolarXpress because they use Duracell inverters and batteries. I had seen some negative comments from other companies and on the web over Duracell's initial foray into the PV/storage battery market. However, following their partnership with PureDrive, a established British company, these initial problems appear to have been resolved. Data from the system is stored on the 'iCloud' and the 2 Dura-i app allow the system to be continually monitored and enables personalised charge/discharge control of the battery. Sounds a bit 'techie' but actually straightforward and the engineer explained how the app worked. Apart from a short lag while data is retrieved from the server, it is straightforward to use (there are actually 2 apps with slightly different functions but you soon get used to them). The installation was completed just before Christmas and, now that the panels are starting to produce a reasonable output (2-2.5 kWh) I have every expectation that my electricity bills will fall dramatically - with a pay-back period of around 5 years. I thought that I might get a second battery but advised that this shouldn't be necessary for our needs which has proved to be the case.

Cannot recommend solar Xpress enough! From start to finish their customer service was fantastic. They managed to match a quote given to us and even offered same week installation. On the day of installation the electrician, Michael, was here at 8am and started straight away and worked very professionally and efficiently and had the installation nearly completed before the roofers were here. The roofer, Danny, turned up at 9am and got to work straight away, again very quickly but very professionally. The whole 8 panels, battery and inverter system was installed and up and running by midday which blew my mind! Will definitely be recommending them to everyone on our estate who want solar panels. Michael even took the time at the end to make sure all rubbish was cleared away and that everything was connected up. And even showed us how to isolate the whole system and didn’t just leave us to figure it out on our own. He even took the time to show us how the apps work. Very pleased with everything. 10/10

Couldn't be more impressed by Solar Xpress from start to finish. Sales team (Matthew and Peter) spoke knowledgeably, very contentious of our personal requirements and ensured that we felt we got the best deal in what is a competitive market. The customer service from Damian made us feel even more at ease, knowing we could contact them at anytime and they would ensure we were looked after. Once we agreed to the work on the Wednesday they had already got men and materials ready to go for it to be installed on the Friday the same week. The electrician (Michael) arrived at just gone 08:00 and worked professionally and quickly, before we knew it the inverter and battery was on the wall and most of the wiring and cable running was complete. He showed my wife how to isolate the system and got us up and running with a quick how to with the app in no time. The roofer and panel installer (Danny and co) was very down to earth and also worked quickly. The panels have been installed to a high standard, as if they've been doing it all their lives. From the work starting at 08:00 the whole job was wrapped up and we were producing electricity by 13:00. Couldn't be more happy we decided to go with these guys, and couldn't recommend enough to anyone sitting on the fence. Also left the working area clean and tidy with not a peice of scrap in sight. 10/10

Cheap fast get what you pay for. On my case a never ending headache. Poor installation on the roof, the sub contractor used the panel clips to bridge the rail gaps. 5 months in still no MPAN, export DNO. Turns out the system designed is larger than the network will accept so the export is limited meaning that the projected system performance is nonsense. Many phone calls asking for rectification not replied. Emailed NAPIT and RECC with solar express in copy informing official complaints procedure and they still haven’t responded. Disgraceful company. If you have an installation, insist that a 3rd party signed the installation off. Do not sign you are happy with installation. What do you know about solar installs? Maybe more than the guys. Learn from Me Give them a miss.

(after speaking with the first contact the figure stacked up and i believe its worth the investment) i already have solar panels installed and the battery pack is a good addition.

Got a quote from solarxpress which was really competitive and installation was super quick. I delayed the installation by a week because of Xmas but they were able to install and commission in about 6 hours with no fuss and no disruption. The system works great and the Duracell app shows exactly what’s happening with the system at any time. I run an air source heat pump so my electric bills are about £8 a day. The installation is saving me around 25% and we’re in the middle of winter. I expect the system will really come into its own as we get to the summer. The installation guys were neat and tidy and knew what they were doing. As an electrical engineer I was keen to see that the work was done properly it I need not have worried as everything was exactly as it should be. Well done guys great job.

Just had a Battery fitted on my Solar system by Solar Express, They were informative and helpful during the process of choosing the type of battery etc, The fitting team were friendly, professional and also helpful, my system was quite basic which was supplied by another company who couldn’t be bothered to quote me for a battery despite many requests over a few months dont use a company called Project Solar they are very poor (A review within a review) but now I have a full system with very informative app and total remote ability . The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars there was a bit of a lack of communication once I’d paid deposit due to paperwork mix up and was given a date verbally but this didn’t happen and was done on Monday rather than the Friday before. Not an issue as I work shifts but could have been had I been working . That said I feel this was an issue unique to me and the paperwork situation as the general service was excellent and professional . Yes I would recommend Solarxpress

Great service and communication from initial phone call through to customer service and follow up. Brad the electrician was very tidy as were the panel installers Daniel and his boss - very quick. Annie is also giving great customer service and after care. Only niggle is the battery app - could have done with a how to use booklet but advised somebody from the tech team will go through and explain. Very reasonable costs and Daniel at head office worked hard to achieve a good price and can already see a difference in consumption.

I’ve been looking at Solar for a long time and have spoken to lots of companies. I have my own investment model and used this to work out the payback on the investment and this time we decided to press the button as I got the payback down to about 5 years. I spoke to about 20 companies and got quotes from about 15 of them and these covered quite a large price range. The Sunsynk products that Solarxpress recommended are not the best and not the worst. They are a decent mid-price point solution and if you want to spend a lot more more money to get a 1-2% more efficient panel or a battery that can unload or load faster that is your choice, but will that improve the payback time, unlikely is my gut, based on my model. Solarxpress listened to me, which you may think is a basic that a company trying to sell to you should do, but most of them didn’t bother. Daniel and Stephen, the two salespeople, took the time out to answer my sometimes quite detailed questions, and the silly ones, but more importantly listened to what I told them about my home and the challengers that it would present when trying to get scaffolding up in order to install on the roof. They then, shock horror listened to my alternative proposal and sent someone around to check on it and agree that it was viable. Solarxpress gave me a price that was competitive and then worked around our needs to do an install quickly, so that we could do it at the same time as other work happening in our home, thus reducing the disruption and making their install easier. The installation itself didn’t quite go to plan and instead of taking one day it took an extra half day as they didn’t have enough cable and daylight to complete the work, but this was dealt with quickly and efficiently and I was kept informed, so no issues. All in all, this a major investment and having a supplier that listens to you and thinks about things rather than being lost in their tramline thinking is a benefit in my opinion.

Excellent experience throughout the whole process. Every member of staff was very attentive to any questions I had as well as my last minute decision to add a battery to my installation. All completed in a single day which I was very impressed with and the system is running great despite the cloudy days at the moment. Price was fair and less than all the other quotes I'd recieved even despite my less than usual setup. I had a non-functional solar thermal setup for my hot water which I needed removing. They were more than happy to include this in their quote and arranged a plumber to disconnect the existing thermal panels from my hot water system, took away all the mess and even replaced a load of my roof tiles. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quick and straight-forward solar system install.

A polite and helpful installer who completed the task with no fuss

The installation only took half a day and the installers worked tirelessly and in light rain, Customer service has been excellent, its not just an install and forget company. Pleased with the system so far and its reducing our consumption a lot. Once we get to documents we need for exporting to the grid i fell it will be one of our best decisions. One other thing is that they are not called Solarxpress for nothing, they were only a few days from agreeing to fitting.

Ordered battery storage for existing solar panel installation. The quote came in at a good price and installation was arranged almost immediately after agreeing to go ahead. The installation was going to present a few challenges and it was a case of working with the installer to come up with something that was workable and I was happy with. This was mainly around location of the equipment and cable routes and in the end we got it all sorted out. The slight niggle was around the configuration of the setup. It became clear over a few days that the kit was not actually operating as expected and it needed a few calls to get some help from the tech expert at SolarXpress to reconfigure things to get the battery charging correctly - luckily this could all be done remotely. In fairness the installation is slightly more complicated than normal being an add-on to an existing installation, and the configuration app does have many complex settings to deal with. In the end no real concerns as we are now up and running and I am happy with things.

This company gave a great deal. After agreeing to the deal within days the panels were fitted. Panels enhance the property. Workmen were friendly, professional and very efficient. Great after care provided, would definitely recommend this company.

We used Solar Xpress after a recommendation from our Neighbours. They were helpful and polite in the pre sales process, unlike other companies, they did not repeatedly phone me for updates, knowing I would compare multiple offers. Their prices were reasonable and to close the deal they offered good incentives. But probably my biggest amazement was as soon as the deal was signed (Thursday) I had fitters on site on Thursday, although due to inclement weather they could not complete the installation till Friday. Quick is not a strong enough word for these guys!

Excellent service from the outset. Communication is always quick, clear and detailed. When I needed to delay the fitting due to needing a new roof, Solarxpress were patient and understanding and honoured the discounted price they offered, even though they had to wait for three months to complete the job. On the day, the fitters were very professional and efficient. Once the battery and inverter were fitted, the installer spent plenty of time explaining everything to me and setting up the app on my phone and computer. Since then, I have called on a couple of occasions with queries and the customer service has been first class. We’ve had our solar panels installed for a few days now. The initial process was so easy. Oliver Russchen was who looked after us from the beginning and was really helpful, giving us all the information we needed to make a completely informed decision with no pressure at all. Once a week or so had passed and decided to go for it, we put a deposit down on the Monday, and the installation was completed on the Thursday with the roofers and the Friday with the electrician. We are over the moon with how neat and tidy the job was and felt really involved with all the decisions with the locations and installations of the panels and the inverter and battery. We have the handy app up and running, which is so exciting to monitor. The live chat with Sunsynk is super quick and helpful and really helped us with initial settings (we had to get our wifi booster set up, but once we sorted this everything was brilliant) We are already seeing amazing solar production for the time of year, and it’s allowing us to use the timers in the app to set times to top up the battery on overnight economy 7 rates so we’re using hardly any day rate. 100% would recommend this to anyone who was thinking about it or having doubts. Knowing we have the backup of the aftercare team is also reassuring!

Every member from Solarxpress team I spoke with was very helpful. From getting what I required ordered to my batteries being installed was a very quick process.

The staff are brilliant! Ollie from Sales, (always communicated and kept up to date) the whole installation team (speedy as possible, effective, efficient and they cleaned up after themselves) the electricians were informative and explained all the nuances of the inverter and the battery. Can't fault the staff in any way!

Having researched a number of companies, we decided to use Solar Express to supply and install our system after a strong recommendation from our friends who live in a nearby town. Our experience replicated what they had told us of their experience. The price quoted was competitive. Communication was frequent and informative. The installation was swift, efficient and completed by lunchtime. During the process, the installer kept us informed all the way through the process and was very clear in his explanation. The electrician was helpful and methodical, explaining fully the processes and purposes of the equipment. Questions that have arisen since have been dealt with helpfully and supportively.

We were looking to install solar panels for some time. We received offers from 7 different companies and the turnaround time for all was 8 to 10 weeks. It was not the case with Solarxpress - it was not the cheapest but also the fastest offer. I`ve spoken with Tom on the phone on Friday, and we agreed that next Wednesday we have our solars up and running! Unbelievable. The installation took roughly 4 hours. No scaffoldings, fast and tidy! The engineers broke one tile and after 30 min they came back and replaced it! We simply don`t have enough words to recommend Solarxpress!

Was recommended this company by a work colleague following an install on his property - really pleased he did! All pre-install work and survey done remotely by James at Solarxpress, followed up with a report on the proposal, costs, and what I could expect to generate from the system. All details clear and unambiguous. A bit of price negotiation followed - all very amenable - and then agreement and sign off. Again done remotely. Organised install date. Small deposit paid to secure date. Installers arrived as booked, polite and efficient. Put 6 panels on my roof. Cleaned up after themselves and took all rubbish away. Professional install. Electrician then arrived to install inverters, 2 X batteries, switches and additional consumer unit. Really good job of running cables and really happy with meter connection (as this is inside our house in kitchen cupboard) I feel the electrician went the 'extra mile' on this - not an easy job. Cleaned up after himself, gave demo of the App and helped with set up. All done as promised in a day. Remaining balance paid next day. One slight technical issue with the inverter signalling wire which they sorted really quickly after the visit. MCS certs and power grid notification supplied quickly. From starting to talk to James to completing install was 8 days. They carry plenty of stock and will work with you to design the system you need. No pressure. Really great post install support. Would happily recommend.

Saw Solarxpress at Homebuilding and Renovating Show at the NEC and asked for a quote. Despite having a West/East roof they said it would be suitable for solar panels. Fully installed in 4 hours, including inverter and battery storage. So far I'm very pleased with the system and the follow-up calls.

Fantastic service and after install support. Tom called initially and talked us through the options after carrying out a virtual survey. We didn't want the panels on the tiled roof but instead on the flat roof. This was included in the quote. We said yes and within 2 days we were installed and up & running. We had a few technical hitches with our broadband router not liking the dongle. Liam was amazing getting this sorted for us with after work calls and a calm, patient logic based approach. When you work in the world of Decarbonisation you have to choose carefully who helps you on a personal level. On the Thursday morning I decided to accept the quote provided by Solarxpress, by the time I had hit the send button on my email, their chap phoned me to progress the sale through to their engineer. We dealt with Mark back in March and he was fantastic to us. He was very knowledgeable about the product and approachable. He had sent me brochures through email of the battery brand and solar panel brand which no other company has done that! He gave me to two quotes one for ten panels and the other for 5. Mark said to us that we can buy first to start off then buy another five at a later date. We can not fault the service we had received and we chose but now pay later option.

The equipment that is used is of good quality. My husband is a solar installer and he is very impressed. Pre-install customer service was excellent as the salesman was knowledgeable and could answer all the questions posed. He went as far as to encourage us to do an internet search and look at the equipment for ourselves. Post-install there was good follow-up to check that we were happy with everything and to answer any other questions that may have cropped up. Very pleased with the service provided. There was a range of payment options provided and the overall cost is very competitive. We are very pleased.

I had been considering getting solar panels installed on my house but hadn't done much research into it. I received a call from Solar Xpress who offered me a no obligation solar consultation and I thought why not? A Microsoft Teams call was set up with Lewis for a time and date suitable for me. During the call Lewis explained to me about the solar panel system he had designed for my house before the call, running me through all the facts and figures, this system was then tweaked to suit me after he had learned about my individual needs for the system. I ended up being quoted for a smaller system that suited my needs best. At no point did I feel under pressure to purchase the system from Solar Xpress. Lewis called me back a couple of days later to allow me to consider my options, when he called I accepted the proposed system and paid a small deposit. The panels and battery storage were installed 4 days later!! The fitting team were very friendly and efficient, they arrived around 9 am and we're done by 1 pm. I was shown how to use the app to monitor what was going on with the system, I use this far more than I thought I would. Would highly recommend Solar Xpress!

I was really on the fence about solar electric however the team from solar express filled me with confidence from the start, the design was altered to allow me to get the best out of the system and upgrade in the future and the company kept me informed regularly with updates

After my initial enquiry email via the Solar Express website I received a speedy call back from Mark Richards one of the companies Sales Agents. As with the purchase of all larger costly items, I like to know I am getting a good product which is good value for money. Mark was able to explain the whole process thoroughly and answer all the questions I had. One of the things I was extremely impressed with in relation to Solar Express was that there was no hard sell, Mark simply forwarded me all the details in an email rather than me trying to remember everything he had said (and trying to write it all down during our phone call) and told me to take as long as I needed and to discuss it with my wife before making a decision. We made our decision in little over a week after discussing with the people who recommended Solar Express to us and other friends who had recently purchased Solar Panels. When I contacted Mark to say we had decided to go ahead, he informed us that there was a current deal ongoing whereby if you purchased in February that the panels would be fitted in February. As we ordered in the last week in February we got our panels at this Deal price, but the installation wasn't until the first week in March which we completely understood due to our late March confirmation of our order. The installation team were friendly and just got on with the job and took away all the packaging and left no mess whatsoever. Ash the electricial even swept up after his part in the installation. One suggestion I would make is if you live in a rural area like us, when you are submitting your site photographs to the fitting department, give them as much detail as possible including approx distances from where your panels are going to where your Inverter and batteries will be sited and any hazards that the fitting team may come across when carrying out the installation. We are 1 hours drive each way from the nearest hardware and electrical suppliers for any parts the team didn't have with them. All the contact with Annie and Chelsea in relation to payment for the system and the follow up calls in relation to any queries we had after the system was fitted were dealt with quickly and made the whole experience a straightforward one. James, who we liaised with regarding our enquiry was fab! Answering all out questions around our system and install. Massive shout out to Brad the electrician who came on day of install and discussed everything with us, giving us the best advise regarding the cabling and again, answered all our questions. The time he took to show us the app and how everything worked which was an added bonus that we didn't expect to happen! The team that came to install the panels were in and out within a day and made everything seem so simple. Now a week later, having had to contact aftercare once, nothing was an issue for them, to even now checking in and ensuring we're happy with the system. I had solar panels fitted today, and the whole process has been quick and easy. As Solar Xpress had the panels ready in the warehouse, from booking to install took less than a week! The price was not the lowest quote I received, however the quality of the panels, batteries and inverter are much better - plus good warranties and appropriate certificates. The install team arrived on time, were polite and professional, and tidied up after themselves. I've been kept informed about the process and the product (They sent over all of the data sheets for every component). Absolutely recommend!

After having two quotes from other company's and feeling like everyone a con artist or just telling you what you want to hear I tried one more time and hit upon solar express. The quote process was over a teams call which I was a bit nervous about but once started and explained to me Mark Richards the sales guy was brilliant and answered all my questions. This was Monday after agreeing to have install even with it being on credit we had them installed on the Tuesday the following week the lads that did it called and said a time frame and was all fitted and done in a day. Following a recommendation from a friend we chose SolarXpress for our installation. From the initial contact to completion of the work the electrician Tom and the the panel installers were very efficient and tidied up before leaving. Just one small hiccup, due to our weak signal we had to obtain a Wi-Fi extender before the system was fully functional. Was quick to install as I was able to be flexible with my dates. I have a very good understanding and the standard 6x400w was far to big for my needs, I have a 4x400w with mini inverter which is more than sufficient for my requirements and has a lower system cost and better return. No battery as they don't make viable sense for me. Communications from instal team was not the best but got there in the end. Electrician was very helpfull, cleaned up after himself. Overal best value, not bad service and system at a very good price.

Solar Xpress were recommended by a previous family member, and they were extremely quick and efficient with the whole process from initial quote, contract to installation. Installation is very neat whole system works well. After care is good all questions answered if you know what to ask, but little discussion about how the system would operate with energy companies either before committing or during installation. OK for me as an ex-engineer knowing what we wanted but for others this may cause difficulties.

The sales person I spoke to was knowledgeable but not pushy. The installation was quick (faster than some companies were offering quotes) and the team was friendly and polite. We had one minor issue with our fuse board and the team sorted it out very quickly. We have been really pleased with the whole experience.

I went with SolarXpress for a number of reasons. The price seemed ok, Mark, the guy I dealt with to get the system designed was really helpful and answered all my questions and there was no pressure to buy, they could install within 3 weeks (I am in South Wales and have found it hard to get anyone to even quote and then only with huge lead times). The initial online meeting was easy and the proposal they sent very comprehensive. The teams that came to fit the system were good, efficient and friendly. So far so good, the system is up and running and generating the expected amount. The paperwork was received quickly enabling me to apply for SEG payments for any excess. Liam in tech support has been helpful with my questions. So yes, I would recommend them.

The process with Solar Xpress has been professional and efficient from first contact. Jack Dalton, in sales, answered all our questions (we had a lot) and once we decided to proceed the system was fitted within 3 weeks. The team arrived on the day and were, clean courteous and polite and worked on our roof in snow, hail, sunshine and everything in between. Every scrap of packaging was taken away. We hit a slight snag in that the incorrect size inverter was installed but this was changed within the week. Considering we are in Devon and Brad was coming from Yorkshire, this was excellent customer service. Liam has been brilliant at explaining about the app and clearly he is a very busy man. To that end, perhaps it would be worth considering putting a YouTube video up demonstrating the salient points. Just a suggestion. We had 3 companies quote and whilst they were pretty similar (Solar Xpress fell in the middle), we have been very pleased with our choice. The savings we are making are already significant, we just wish we had done it sooner.

Great experience, good cost effective solution and a professional installation, very happy with Solarxpress

After contacting numerous companies and having quotes varying in numbers of panels suitable for my roof (0-16) I opted for 14 panels over 2 south facing aspects. Not the cheapest but a long way off the most expensive. I had doubts myself that I could get 14 panels to fit. Solarxpress offered a very quick install date compared to 6-9 months quoted by others. Contact with the company during initial design layout was very good, I was consulted and my views were heard and any concerns addressed. I was then asked for a deposit to be paid and strangely I was asked to make it payable to a spa company. I immediately thought a scam of some kind as no mention had been made about this. I paid with credit card after trying to find out as much as possible about their trading. Then things went very very quiet for three weeks until I found a survey questionnaire in my junk email. A week later I get a phone call on a Friday asking if I wanted the install on the Monday, unable to commit to that date the Wednesday was agreed. Wednesday came and two electricians turned up at 8.00, we discussed suitable location for the inverter and batteries and my stipulations for the wiring was observed. The panels arrived around midday with two man roof team. They marked out the roof and said only 12 panels would fit on the south roofs so I opted for 2 panels on the adjacent west roof. Before I knew it the panels were installed and the guys had left leaving the electricians to commission. Everything was left tidy and handover completed with the system already generating. A payment of balance was requested same day. The app allows me to view state of system and totals for generation usage and battery charge. Learning how to utilise the power generated the most efficiently is a learning curve not helped by the poor weather to date. My best yield to date has been 14kWh and the poorest 1.2 kWh per day. Overall very impressed and a big thank you to the team

From quotation to installation very pleased, clean tidy and efficient work teams. Early days yet to see full amount of benefits but so far so good

We spoke to Daniel initially who was happy to answer all our questions about panels and batteries and systems. We didn't get any pressure sales at all. We got a great price too.The guys fitted the system in around d 4 or 5 hours, were great around the house and explained how the system works and how to use it. Thanks to these guys this was painless, and now we have free electricity. Thanks Daniel. Topman !!

Do not trust this company to do what they say they will, you will need to chase them at every point of the project. They will: 1) Supply a half attempt at a quote 2) Not supply the materials they quoted for 3) Not pitch up on the day to do the work 4) Pitch up at 17:00 to do a full day's work 5) Pitch up with the wrong equipment 6) Leave dangerous tools on your roof and lying around your house overnight 7) Leave equipment everywhere overnight including outside 8) Promise to be at your job then not Pitch up and not contact you 9) Not have the correct tools to do the job, use yours and then leave them out in the rain 10) Leave you with a half installed system and dissappear 11) still be working in your house after 20:00 at night 12) promise the job will be completed that day and then break that promise then promise to be back early the next day to complete the job but not Pitch up at all 13) send you the wrong equipment and charge you for the right equipment 14) break your TV with a solar panel that was kept in the Annex and not tell you that they cracked the screen on your TV Do NOT trust a word this company says they will lie to you at every point of the project!

This would have been a 5 star review, and would be 4.5 if I could. All the good stuff - Arrived on time, done very quickly and the team were happy to chat about what they were doing, their experience and so on. When they left my property they cleaned up everything and took all rubbish away. My reason for a not quite perfect review is that I had a problem with generation and when I contacted SolarXpress, they initially responded within 24 hours. But it was then a week, and another chase from me to get someone out. Having said, they sent an electrician and roofer next day who identified and fixed the fault, and I am now generating around 65% of my usage. So, my complaint is minor and really advice for SolarXpress - you fixed my problem, and at the offset had you said it would take a week to get someone out, that would have been fine - please work on comms with customers - this could have been a 5 star review. Overall - very good experience, best value by a long shot and I would happily recommend Solarxpress to anyone. Special thanks to Jack Dalton for giving me a great price and arranging such a swift delivery, and also the back office team (especially Chelsea) who did sort my problem very quickly once it was on their radar!

Abysmal. 3 mo the late, system doesn't work, still want me pay for it. Jokers. Appalling attitude. Steer clear.

Poor contact, poor process, part installed and no communication. Would not in good faith recommend. All pre remaining balance paid so the after sales must be considerably worse!

I had 8 solar panels and a battery system installed 4 weeks ago and I have been very impressed with whole installation process and operation of the system. The roofers who installed the panels on my roof were very efficient and helpful with regards to the design proposal and only took 2 hours to complete the job. The electrical installation of the hybrid inverter and battery system to the house and grid was carried out by a very helpful, pleasant and proficient electrician who installed all cables etc so that they were hidden and did not affect the aesthetics of the house. So far the savings on my electricity bill appear to be around 70 to 75% so far which is really impressive for the time of year.

Great Service and well worth it. Had 12 solar panels and a battery system installed a few weeks ago. The installers were brilliant, turned up and worked hard, and left the area clean. Even though we are in autumn now we are generating over 70% of our daily energy use. Office staff were great and really helpful when i did have a question. Best decision we have made!

I can’t recommend them enough. I was concerned what I would be getting at the start because of the price. But due to the cost I couldn’t refuse them and it turned out to be a great choice. System up and running on the following day due to issues that couldn’t be helped with the electricians. But as they promised they turned up to complete the work the next day. I’m already seeing the savings on the electricity on the app. So all in all it’s a great system and am very pleased with it.

As I’m sure most people are when purchasing such a big investment it can be very scary. I had a few quotes from different company’s but connected well with the sales team who added a personal understanding of what was needed. After a 2 weeks, as promised equipment delivered and installed and fully commissioned over 2 days. Incredibly happy with the team and the product.

We had a 3.6kWp solar array, and 5.6kWh battery system installed by SolarXpress and so far we are very impressed with the system. We have FoxESS inverters and batteries and Longi 405W panels. I rang for a quote and asked to speak to a technical engineer as I already knew what I wanted and what to expect performance-wise. The engineer I spoke to was more than happy to go over all our options and what would make sense based on our house aspect/location as well as any shading concerns on the roof. I never felt over-sold or that they wanted to push me into a sale. I explained that I would be getting multiple quotes and they were keen that I should do exactly that; for me this was a good sign. A couple of days later we rang back to place the order as the quote was fair and the team assured me that they had stock to complete the job in 3-4 weeks. Once ordered, it actually only took 10 days before the install date! The install team were great, arriving in the morning and completing the job within ~5 hours. Everyone introduced themselves and set out what they were going to be doing. During the install I had a few questions and the team were more than happy to answer them which I found very reassuring. Once the work was done I was shown all the operational aspects of the install and again all my questions were answered. A test was done to check that all the mobile app data was coming through and a quick "kettle test" was done to confirm the batteries and panels were working as required. Once all this was complete the installers left and we have had no problems since then. Post-install we had a couple of calls from the customer care team to check we were happy and to arrange payment of the final amount. The team showed genuine interest in our experience and wanted to know about anything they could have done to make it any better; in my view I don't think they could have, we are very happy with the whole start-to-finish experience. I would recommend SolarXpress to anyone thinking of getting a system installed.

I was a little sceptical as the price seemed to good to be true and the promise of installation within a week a far cry from the several months lead time from other companies. However, apart from the panel installation team arriving much later than expected and without communication of what was happening, hence the 4 stars, the whole job was carried out well, with great service from the whole team. The roof team and the electricians certainly knew their trade and made a great job of it. All the followup paperwork came through without delay and I was quickly able to get a feed in tariff sorted with my supplier. Now I am not only saving money but earning it from the power sold to the grid.

System fitted within 10 days from order after a few querries were dealt with. The DNO and MCS certificate were emailed to me promptly so that I could start to claim SEG payments.The installation team were very good and quick leaving no mess and the system is excellent. The only reason I have given 4 stars is that I had to telephone to chase the warranty documention.

one of the worst compainies i have ever used, highly unproffessional only from when they get paid, no compulsory paperwork issued and poor installation which they put on the other company that they wont supply the details of please avoid!!!!
