Recommend to us by a neighbour who had used P4 Solar themselves , from the very first contact we were impressed and continue to be so. Fred visited us at home and explained everything in a clear, concise way without any pressure or attempt to upsell. He listened to what we wanted taking into account our current usage and plans for the future . Fred arranged for the site visit, the tailored quote followed swiftly, everything happened on time. The installation was so smooth, all the staff were just brilliant from the scaffolding company to all the installation team who really were just superb , so efficient, professional and polite, they left no mess and are a really skilled group. The entire process has been faultless , purchasing solar is only something you do once ( unless you move of course but even then it adds value to the house ) so you want a company that you can trust to get it right , one that listens to what you want and what your family needs. I honestly can’t recommend P4 highly enough. Coming into this project without knowing anything about solar panels or battery systems, the team guided me through the entire process step by step, patiently answering dozens of my questions along the way. Their logistics and project management were spot on. When a third-party issue popped up with the contracted scaffolders, Fred stepped in immediately to keep everything on track—even managing to arrange replacement scaffolders late in the evening so the project stayed on schedule. The installation team was fantastic. They were incredibly knowledgeable and went out of their way to accommodate all my requests. They took real care to keep the system as subtle as possible—you barely notice anything different to the inside or outside of the house. The aftercare has been just as impressive. P4 provided heaps of clear information, guidance, and clear next steps to get me properly set up to export back to the grid. P4 have been faultless from start to finish. I recently had a full solar and Tesla Powerwall 3 system installed by P4 Solar, and the entire experience from start to finish has been fantastic. A big thank you to Fred, who has been personally involved throughout the entire project. Having him actively engaged throughout and ensuring everything ran on schedule made a huge difference and gave me total confidence in the process. On installation day, the on-site team were great: Dylan & Jackson (the solar team) did an brill job up on the roof—efficient, tidy, respectful of the property, and clearly experts at what they do. Harry (the electrician) and his colleague carried out a neat electrical install, making sure the Powerwall setup was clean and fully connected without fuss. The system is now up and running seamlessly, producing good numbers and keeping our home completely self-powered. Superb service. After getting multiple quotes, P4 were the only company to come out and chat in person to establish our needs, and to actually measure up the roof. Other quotes used map images and suggested we could fit 18 panels, P4 installed 29 and we could have fit a couple more if we wanted. The installation was quick and very neat, the communication and response has been fantastic throughout, with clear emails and documentation. The system is working brilliantly, better than I hoped for. Oliver has been great throughout, from initial contact to completion there has been no pushy sales, just helpful advice as we've needed it. Highly recommend, I already have been recommending them to friends.

The experience with P4 was fantastic from start to finish. From the first visit from Fred I had confidence in their advice and expertise, and they were the only company we sought quotes from that actually measured our roof and therefore maximised the available space. The install went just as smooth as the quoting and was all done in a day, scaffolding removed 2 days later. We then had all documentation and certification the following week. On top of the great service, the system was also a really fair price and better than some competitors quoted for smaller systems. A few weeks after install everything is running smoothly, I haven’t needed any after support so far but I have confidence P4 will be helpful if I ever do need it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend P4 to anyone in the area considering a solar and/or battery install.

P4 Solar get 5 Stars with no hesitation. After chats with other companies who only did online surveys and tried to measure my roof using Google Maps(!) it was a refreshing change to speak to someone face to face. From the initial meeting with Fred, the survey, documentation, recommended system, everything was spot on. Even when Northern Powergrid tried to throw a spanner in the works, the team at P4 sorted all the paperwork and kept me informed every step of the way. The install of the Sigenergy solar panels, EV charger and battery all went smoothly. Only one slight hiccup was with the planned cable routing into the garage where the battery is, but that was quickly resolved. The system has been working brilliantly and I am very pleased. Brilliant from start to finish, somehow P4 manage to be both extremely slick & professional, and very personal and friendly in the way that only a family led business can. Gave us every bit of information and support needed, managed every external step of the process (including electricity licence and scaffolding) and gave us advice on everything right down the right tariff to use and the setup of the system. Every person we dealt with was terrific, from Peter & Fred, to Harry, Dylan & Rhys on the day of the install. The system works a treat, and we have already recommended one friend on the basis of this experience.

First rate, every step of the way. From initial consultation to install, everything went well and explained clearly. No question was too much trouble. Highlights so far include support and, more importantly, the fact that I felt I'd need a bigger battery. P4 talked me through my needs and suggested I wait and use the system for six months and see if I still wanted the larger battery, which was a simple upgrade. P4 Solar recently designed and installed solar panels, batteries, and an EV charger for us. The customer experience we received was excellent throughout. Oliver led the project from day one, guiding us through the options and taking the time to address our specific requirements and concerns. We had a more complex situation than usual and Oliver’s clear communication and project management addressed all our questions and concerns: giving us confidence in their ability to deliver the work to the very best standards. An exceptional company from start to finish. On initial contact they were quick (< 48 hours) in being able to get an in person site survey done. Provided a much more efficient use of the roof space available (13 panels rather than 6 recommended by a national energy supplier!) and a competitive price. Communication was a highlight for me - detailed plans, prompt responses via phone or email, you never felt like you were being left in the dark. Now basking in the sun generating our own energy thanks to P4 solar!

Fred Maddocks at P4 Solar came highly recommended to us by two different people, and I can honestly say he has not let us down. From the very beginning, P4 Solar offered a personable, small family-business feel, while still delivering a highly professional service. We couldn’t be happier with the service from P4 Solar. They installed a solar panel and battery storage system at our home in Baildon, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. We were unsure if it would be possible to have panels as we have a corrugated sheet metal roof but Peter explained everything to us and ensured us it was no problem. The panels look great, sleek and modern and they just blend in. It’s been useful using the app to track how much energy they generate. In fact I’d say it gets a bit addictive! We’ve been so pleased with the results that both my parents and my sister have since had similar systems installed by P4 Solar, and they’re just as happy with the service and quality of the installation. If you’re considering solar, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend P4 Solar. A fantastic local company that genuinely cares about its customers.

Have had a very poor after-sales support of Hanchu kit by P4Solar which isn't for for purpose in my opinion and "at P4 we are strictly a supply-and-installation company " means they wash their hands of the install. Also 2x4 week delays during commissioning which they never warned me about and any competent Solar company would have mentioned ahead of time.

I would highly recommend P4 solar if you are looking for a solar install. We had a 5.5kw system with 5kw battery installed by P4 solar in September last year. The whole process from design to installation was very straightforward with P4 solar taking care of pretty much everything and keeping me well informed of what to expect throughout to process. Our system has been up and running for over 8 months and honestly it has far exceed my expectations of how effective solar is. So far in the first 6 months of this year we have generated more electricity than we have used! Utilising the battery and feed in tariffs has massively reduced our electricity bill and should see us achieve an earlier pay back for P4 solars initial predictions. In summary we are very happy to have gone ahead with a solar install from P4.

My installation was actually more of a modification to my existing solar PV and battery system which P4 Solar hadn't previously been involved in. Although, if I understood correctly, it was not the sort of commission which P4 would undertake because as a rule as they prefer to carry out complete supply and fix works I was treated as a valuable customer and everything from start to finish was carried out with courtesy and as promised. I think it was less than a week from making the initial contact with them to having the initial survey carried out followed by the retrospective alterations to my systems a couple of weeks later. Everyone turned up exactly as planned on the date and time previously agreed. The alterations were carried out very efficiently and the final handover was completed on the same day. P4 kept me fully informed of appoinments with follow up reminders and confirmations by email, text and phone calls to ensure that I knew exactly what to expect and when. Once the work was completed the follow up from P4 was superb checking that I was happy with everything and this was then followed up a few days later by all the relevant information about guarantees, completion certification and updates on my application to feed into the national grid. I cannot praise the whole team enough for their conscientious approach to the job. Considering that I had initially engaged another installer to look at the work and after 8 months nothing had happened the service from P4 was absolutely first rate. I think it was less than 8 weeks from initial contact to completion and I couldn't be happier with the service and quality of work that I received. Many thanks to the whole team.

This comany are exceptional. I decided to have solar panels fitted and first dealt with Fred - an excellent leader of the team. The details about the panels being fitted etc. were exceptional and the price was excellent. I didn't go for another quote, I was already impressed. Yesterday the panels were fitted. All 4 members of the team involved in fitting the panels and the electrics were exceptional and extremely professional and friendly. I have also had two occasions to speak to the support staff at the office, who have also been exceptional. I have not come across a more organised, professional and exceptional company as P4Solar for a long time. My husband mainly dealt with the negotiations of the solar package. On the day of the installation, I was on 'making brews' duty for the lads working. Jackson, Dylan and Harry (electrician) sorry have missed a couple off! But what a superb team, professional, respectful and really excellent guys. The job is so clean and tidy and the after sales side of things has been just as good. I cannot recommend them highly enough. So after speaking to other solar companies I was reccomended P4 and cannot stress enough how easy it was to deal with them, So started with the first phone call to Oli, who was knowledgeable and understood what we were looking for, I discussed the other quotes I had recieved from other companies which he questioned! Which ended up saving me money. He quoted me over the one and checked our address and details to check the roof spaces, He then sent out the team to do a survey to clarify he had quoted correctly. (He had) We where very happy with the quote and information given and booked installation! On installation the fitters where brilliant, Jackson, Dylan and the team worked quickly and got it done in a day! The electrical worked was signed off and the App used was explained! I even had further support from Justin in the office who gave me more information about the app! I would highly reccomend P4 & their team as the service I have received has been second to non! When you are investing in something like solar the service needs to be there and it was! Well done guys!!

I would recommend anyone thinking of having solar panels and/or batteries to get a quote from P4Solar. When obtaining quotes for solar and battery on our bungalow they were by far the best option on price and in providing a detailed survey and bespoke installation. During the process and fitting of the solar panels and batteries they were efficient friendly and helpful. The system has been running well providing free electricity every day since being fitted with the app control being easy to use.

Fantastic local business! I reached out to them after my original battery system installer (Future Power Team) decided to try and strong-arm me into a terrible deal when I wanted to expand my storage. I sacked them off and went with P4 Solar instead and they were fantastic from start to finish. There were a few bits post install that needed to be sorted with the battery manufacturer so firmware updates could be pushed down and they sorted that for me too. Super friendly and honest team of people! Highly recommend them to anyone looking to install or expand a battery system.

Great experience with P4. Fred Maddocks, the Operational Director of P4, is particularly worth praise, who has exceptionally strong knowledge on optimising solar and battery systems that deliver performance and financial returns. The P4 installation team is brilliant, too. They finished a rather comprehensive system (3 arrays on 3 roofs) within one day. Such efficient.

I had solar, batteries, inverter and an EV charger installed by P4 Solar and the experience was fantastic. Everything was installed in 1 day and the scaffolding was up for less than 48 hours so we were back to normal again in no time. The team of installers were amazing, no fuss, no issues, just got on with everything. My EV charger is away from the house which was a more complex run and other companies either would not do it or added a lot more money on the quote but this wasn't a problem at all for P4 and they ran it under my garden without any issue, you'd never even know there was a cable run it is hidden completely. I'm really happy with the Hanchu system they installed and everything is working exactly as it was described to me in the initial meeting with Fred. There was an issue with stock prior to the install but they were able to get a favourable deal on an alternative for me which I really appreciated. I think P4 went above and beyond on the whole experience and I would definitely recommend them to anyone wanting a solar system.

I was initially nervous about choosing a company for my domestic solar installation, but P4 Solar quickly put those concerns to rest. From the outset, Oli was an excellent account manager: always available to answer questions and consistently clear and honest in his communication throughout the process. Before committing, I visited a commercial solar and battery installation completed by P4 Solar. Seeing a larger system (around 50 panels), along with neat cable runs and a tidy inverter and battery setup, helped me understand the quality of their work and what to expect from my own install. No question ever felt too small or stupid, which I really appreciated. No pressure sales process. Install was quick and efficient. I had a couple of post-install niggles which were rapidly addressed - and I really can't fault the experience at all. PV generation has been great so far and it's only March. Will easily pay for itself. Highly recommended.

Deciding to install a large solar panel and battery system is a big decision and large financial outlay. We obtained three quotes but decided to use P4 solar for their straightforward, honest and thorough approach. They also came highly recommended from a friend and we would have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone. From initial scoping of the project to the final quote they were communicative and reassuring. On the day of installation I was sure the cold weather would delay the installation (5th Jan) however the team arrived promptly and were polite and respectful. P4 were great from my initial query through to installation and beyond. I asked them for a quote based on a recommendation from a friend and the fact that they are very local. The survey went well and the clear info and lack of sales pressure sold me the system before I even had a price. But the price was also competitive. I got further quotes but none of the others got anywhere close to the initial service from P4. I had lots of questions all of which were answered quickly. I also had to change install dates which again were sorted efficiently. On the installation date the fitters were great. They arrived on time, were polite and courteous and kept noise to a minimum which was welcomed by me and my neighbours. The electrician also ran through the system and helped to set up the app. Since my install the Great service has continued with info on changing tariff and the paperwork required to do this. I would have no hesitation to recommend P4.

From start to end, my experience with P4 has been superb. The whole process was excellent and the help from Fred and the team was great. The quote was very comprehensive which filled me with confidence and every question that I had was addressed swiftly and clearly. They were meticulous and very considered in the proposal. The installation went well and dealing with Jackson, Dec, Ben and the electricians was very easy - a nice bunch. Everything ended up taking half day if we don't include the extra couple of visits to add a couple of bits that were limited by the scaffolding placement. The aftersales care has been great too and I've been receiving support from Justin and Rachel with switching energy provider, to get the most suitable tariff, as well a few tips with setting up my app and battery settings. I'd give 6 stars if possible! This is how it should be done. Possibly the best company I've dealt with in the past 20 years. Prices are great and the service is amazing. I'm 1 week into ownership and couldn't be happier. Nothing was too much trouble and more importantly they did exactly what they said they would exactly when they said they would. This included moving my battery install date forward to accommodate my deadline, even though the initial delay was caused by my builder and had nothing to do with P4. They could have easily turned around and stuck with the original install date but they went out of there way to help me. After an extremely stressful time being constantly let down by our New build builder and various tradesmen P4 have been a beacon of light proving good survive can be achieved if companies are properly organised. Thank you!

P4 installed my solar panels and batteries in December 2022 and the system has worked brilliantly since then. I recently changed wifi provider and P4 helped get the system set up with the new router including a visit to upgrade the dongle and firmware for the battery system. Aftersales support is one of those things that you don’t always think about when you buy a solar system but P4 have been excellent in this and are always happy to provide support, which is invaluable when you need it.

This company was brilliant, professional and honest throughout. Very competitive quote and a first class job. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they kept me fully informed throughout the process. Installation was done in just one day and a minor crack in one of my roof tiles was sorted immediately without any fuss. Peter and team have been super helpful and committed to having a happy customer from start to finish. I contacted P4 solar when I had problems with an inverter on my 13 year old system as I wanted to deal with an established local company. The experience has been a pleasure. When considering solar we wanted to use a local company if possible. Had several quotes and pleased to say P4 were very competitive but what really made the difference is the way they communicate. In brief... - Initial consultation was indepth and very thorough. - Any subsequent questions were promptly followed up. - Once quote was issued there was no pressure to place an order. - When we did place our order details and timescales were agreed and work followed without a hitch, (this included the added issue of having to deal with other contractors working on the property and the relocation of the main DB. - At handover we had walkthrough and demonstration of the system / monitoring app. - Any further queries have again been dealt with promptly. Bottom line is P4 is a great company to deal with, we've already recommended them to others based on our experience and wouldnt hesitate to use them again when the need arises.

Other companies had been vague, pushy or just not got back to me but Peter was open and honest in our phonecall and explained everything in detail and clearly. P4 Solar were friendly and helpful. We were interested in reducing our electric bills but unsure of what route would be best for us. Solar Installation by P4 Solar I had a fantastic experience with P4 Solar for my solar Energy installation. The team was professional, friendly, and took great care with the scaffolding and overall setup. I had 16 panels installed along with two 10kW Hanchu batteries and a 6kW inverter. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my system generates enough energy even on cloudy winter days! I am hoping it will generate a lot more energy to sell to the grid as I have a west facing roof. Oli, who oversaw the project, was excellent—he wasn’t a pushy salesman but instead provided all the necessary information, took the time to understand my requirements, and ensured accurate calculations. The aftercare has been great too. We had a small issue with grid charging, which is being resolved promptly, Thanks Justin. The only thing that could be improved is the new FuseBox installed in front of the house as it should be slimline, the Electrician should have installed a more aesthetic one, so you should ask him in advance. Ilkley Rugby Club are delighted with the service provided in installing solar panels on the Clubhouse and we were particularly pleased at the professional and friendly service provided by the Company. All documentation was completed in a timely manner and the process was made very easy for the Club and we are already seeing the benefits within 4 months of installation Huge thanks to Peter and then Freddie Maddocks along with Justin Hewitt for their continued help and advice.

Met Peter at the Harrogate home building show early November. Very polite & helpful and never felt any sales pressure during our conversation which was a good start. We received an initial email asking if we’d like them to quote for us, again no pressure. All communication was professional from start to finish. Fred answered all our questions promptly and put us at ease. Arranged for the install early January but during the scaffold build, the scaffolder went through the roof (sore knee, no serious injury, thankfully). Unfortunately the batons weren’t in a good state, but this was no problem for P4 Solar, the following day, their roofers were on the job and replaced all the rotten batons and felt, all at a reasonable cost. The install went ahead as soon as roof was fixed. From start to finish 3 1/2 days everything completed. The install roofers were a great bunch and a credit to the company, with a good work ethic. The electrician James, did a great job fitting the Inverter & Battery where we wanted it. Everything was completed to a high standard and left clean and tidy by all. Post install, P4 Solar have provided us with all necessary documents and advice on energy suppliers. I would recommend P4 Solar to anyone thinking about having solar panels installed. Tremendous experience from start to finish. Peter’s initial meeting and survey really made us feel we were in safe hands and, following receipt of quotes and a few reservations I had answered, his recommendations were exactly what we ended up with. The installation in Sept 2024 went like clockwork. The scaffold went up and the very next day the 16 panels were on the roof in the blink of an eye. We had two batteries and the inverter wall mounted in the loft space so no interference at all. Same for the additional consumer unit in the garage. The electrician was very thorough and despite a few technical hitches he made sure all was working before he left. He also gave me a comprehensive tour of the Lux App that controls the system and gives all the information on solar input, battery storage, household consumption and export to the grid you could wish for. The aftercare is also great. Justin followed up with the required documentation and Fred helped with the SEG application and also chased our DNO (Network provider) who were very slow to say the least. They even advise on best rates being offered by energy suppliers as they arise so no need for comparison sites. I would have no hesitation in recommending P4 Solar. Very professional outfit and do what they say they are going to do on time.

Great service from P4 solar from start to finish. We had loads of question prior to the installation that were always answered promptly and in lots of detail. Nice, tidy installation with a special mention for James the electrician who managed a particularly tricky cable run from the roof without disturbing existing decorated areas. After-sales service has also been really good - app setup, firmware updates, follow-up questions and a bit of remedial work after the scaffolding came down have all been sorted very quickly. I chose P4 out of a number of contractors due to the responsiveness and ability to quote to my own specifications. Nothing was never too much and solutions were found easily. The system was large, 26 panels, coupled with a 10KW battery and three-string inverter. When the system has had some small glitches support was readily available and where updated firmware was needed this was carried out.

Really pleased with our solar set up and P4 Solar. P4 were extremely helpful, also helping sort out (and save money) with materials we needed to make alterations to accommodate the solar panels. Their electrician was also excellent installing our Inverter and battery were we wanted it. This wasn’t an easy place for him to get to and lift the heavy units into place. Also left the area tidy. We used P4 after a friends recommendation and we would highly recommend them too.

Excellent experience throughout, from the initial proposal meeting to the installation. Everything was thoroughly explained and all our questions were answered. We were recommended to use P4 Technologies to install our solar panels at home and we found them to excellent to work with. P4 Solar installed our panels and batteries in April ‘23. From the initial survey to the installation and the post sales support, everything was very smooth. The pre installation report ensured that the system was correctly sized for the household energy use. This was then installed over a week with little impact to the rest of the house. After a year of having the benefit of a solar + battery system I decided to take advantage of some of the more competitive off peak energy tariffs during the winter months by installing an extra battery to my system. I’m also thinking about using the batteries in conjunction with a heat pump so that I can do away with fossil fuels almost entirely. Very competitive price for the Solar panels installed on our property. Very efficient team dealt with the installation and we have no hesitation in recommending P4 Solar to all our colleagues.

Having had various quotes over more than a couple of years, I’d never felt entirely confident enough to go ahead; until that was, I stumbled upon P4 solar and invited them round. The surveyor turned out to be a former roofer and also the installer; the only person who scampered up ladders to check and measure the roof; the only one to fully assess the loft and didn’t need me to empty the loft of its many contents in order to install the panels! The only company to send their electrician round to pre-assess the garage to locate the best place for the batteries and to check the fuse board. I was already sold at this stage. Price wasn’t the deciding factor, and I’d already decided to place order regardless of the cost. So when the quote came through (including scaffolding) as the most reasonable anyway, it was just the easiest decision I’ve made for years! Within a couple of weeks the scaffolders turned up, and set the next great impression, being an absolute pleasure to have working on the house. The following week, their electrician completed the first fix with apparent ease and set up the batteries along with my phone app to control them. The next morning the panel installers arrived on the dot and so the whole fifteen panel solution was fitted, tested, up and running by the afternoon of the second day. As requested, the scaffolding guys were back within a few days to clear away, leaving us both amazed and delighted that something had been so straight forward and problem free in our lives at last! The support from start to finish from Fred and his team was faultless, once again showing that part of the formula for this company’s success is great communication and a super team across the board! Before my install I spoke with multiple providers. It was clear their knowledge of this technology was far superior to other providers I spoke to. P4Solar were very easy to deal with and they were very accommodating in terms of getting my install done very quickly post me committing to use them. In terms of the install itself, this was also a very good experience. I was unable to speak with the installers much on the day due to work commitments but they were able to take some information from me and use that to perform all of the necessary steps on my behalf. One of the things that sold P4 to me was their talk of after care. The after care provided has been really good. They are very responsive to questions about the install itself and in my opinion, go above and beyond in providing advice on other products and also things like cost saving energy tariffs etc. In the event of me expanding my install or looking at other energy saving products etc. I know I will use and can rely on P4Solar and I have and will continue to recommend them to others.

P4 were the first company out 6 in total to send me a quote through. We adjusted it to suit our needs, and ended up getting 22 panels and 3 batteries. The survey was done very quickly, and installation was carried out at a time to suit us. Absolutely no issues with the guys doing the installation, they were friendly and tidied up and left the site as they found it. The whole team were amazing from start to finish. Great customer service, really do listen to your needs and helped improve our understanding of the renewable energy world. We chose P4 Solar for our ground based solar panel installation and cannot recommend them highly enough. Peter was very thorough with the site survey and put together a plan which more than met our requirements. His knowledge and experience highlighted aspects we (as laymen) had not considered. Our final product has been up and running for just over 3 mponths now and despite the weather and shorter days initially, it is already exceeding expectations.
