Living on the Isle of Wight didn't cause any problems for Greenstar Solar and we were impressed initially with a visit from the MD who explained the way everything works, the scaffolding and erection of solar panels etc. He spent time enough to visit our loft and confirm that all was in order for the procedure to take place. We were given dates of when scaffolding was to be erected, the date of the solar panel installation and approx time this would take. Everything went according to plan and installation took around 4 hours to complete. The site was cleared and left tidy. Scaffolding was removed the following day. The connection to the Grid did take time but through no fault of Greenstar. We are now fully operational with our Supplier. Greenstar have been in touch via Video Call to set up the App for the Solar installation. They ensured that we fully understood the way everything worked and we were offered help for whenever we needed it or had any queries or questions. All in all a very satisfactory experience and we have no hesitation in recommending them.

From initial contact to post-installation optimisation of the system, the process ran very smoothly with excellent communication throughout from Greenstar Solar. Changes to the original plans were well explained and discussed in detail and everyone who visited the property was professional and polite. In total, our system was up and running two months to the day after my first tentative enquiry, which is a much shorter timeline than I expected, especially during the busiest time of the year. I'm now enjoying seeing how much we are saving each day! Full marks all round and highly recommended.

After getting wildly varying quotes from a few other companies, I had almost given up on the idea of buying solar as I was so confused about all the conflicting information and system options I'd been given. I was recommended to call Greenstar by a neighbour who had recently had their system installed. What a breath of fresh air they were, after my initial enquiry, Jack came out and spent a couple of hours with me explaining what I needed to suit my individual household energy needs and requirements. He showed me all the calculations based on my energy consumption to justify the system setup he was recommending and answer my many questions. After he left I had all the information and felt confident in what I was buying and why I needed it. There was absolutely no pressure whatsoever to order, but after spending time with Jack I was in no doubt of which company I was going to use, and Greenstar was actually the cheapest quote as well! I was kept well informed of the survey process, the scaffolding going up and the installation of the hardware. All of the trades involved were courteous and professional and did a fantastic job,everything fitted neatly and work areas left spotless once they were finished. I was shown how the system works and had help to set up and optimise my system via the app, and then got passed over to the excellent Craig to follow up any teething troubles (there were none, other than a couple of settings to be changed to maximise the money I am making by exporting to the grid). I received all my documentation promptly and Craig helped to ensure I was on the best energy and feed in tariff to get the best payback on investment. I had a fantastic experience with Greenstar Solar on my solar + battery system. Very impressed from the original consultation, they did not try to just sell their biggest and most expensive system, but rather focused on the most suitable specs for our household use. I eventually went for a 12 panel + 8 kwh battery system at a competitive price. The installation was all done in a single day. I was very happy with the overall workmanship with all the cables neatly clipped away and nothing was in the way. The aftersales care was also brilliant, all relevant paperwork were handed over to me and explained. This included all warrant information (which are insurance backed). I had to wait a long while to get the DNO letter from the grid operator and the team at Greenstar helped me chase up numerous times to get it done eventually! It's been great fun looking at the solar app and fine tuning the system every now and then!

Greenstar have provided nothing but excellent service and detailed knowledge whenever I have needed to speak to them. Their installation team were methodical and clean. Highly recommend.

Greenstar Solar was recommended to us by Solar Sherpa after we had started to investigate the viability of installing solar panels and we are pleased to say that the recommendation was thoroughly deserved - the company has been outstanding in its professionalism and communication throughout the whole process. Excellent service from the team at Greenstar Solar. We received a detailed solar and battery system proposal that was tailored to our home and electricity usage, which was competitively priced and had no unnecessary extras to inflate the cost. Since then everything has gone smoothly, with lots of communication up to the day of install. Now that the system is installed and commissioned we have already seen a dramatic fall in energy consumption from the grid and a significant proportion of our solar generation is being exported. The handover documentation pack and follow up call was very useful, as is the continued support from the team whenever we need to call on them. Highly recommended.

Great service provided by everyone I've spoken too. Jon was great initially doing the survey. Jack in particular being very patient with all my questions and very willing/helpful to chat and discuss everything I required. Tobias has been great with responding and providing me with the documentation I needed. Then finally Craig has been great getting me set up on the system and ensuring I understood what it could do and how I could optimise my profit potential. Would definitely recommend to others and have been actively doing so on reddit etc. My system is a 27 panel, good we 13kwh battery, 10kw invertor. Best price on the market but great quality all round

We recently had a 17-panel solar system installed by Greenstar Solar, along with a Sygenergy SigenStor inverter and battery, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. What really stood out early on was the level of detailed technical advice we received before installation. The team took the time to explain system design, expected performance, and how the inverter and battery would integrate with our usage. This gave us real confidence that the system was tailored properly to our needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. On installation day, the panel fitting team were professional, efficient, and clearly took pride in their work. The panels were installed with great care and precision, and the finished result looks neat and well-aligned on the roof. Just as importantly, they left everything clean and tidy, which we really appreciated. The electrician who handled the inverter and battery installation was equally impressive. The wiring and setup were completed to a very high standard, and everything was clearly explained to us once the system was up and running. I recently chose Greenstar for the installation of my solar panels and Goodwe home battery system, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The solar industry can feel like a bit of a minefield, but with the faster return on investment—especially now that I have an EV—I felt it was the right time to move forward. To truly benefit from EV tariffs, having a home battery is essential so I could avoid the higher standard rates that accompany them. Before making a decision, I did extensive research and received quotes from five companies, including 2 large energy companies. What set Greenstar apart immediately was that they were the only company to carry out an in-person visit for the quote. Jon is a credit to the company, he was extremely professional, focussing only on the best solution for me and pricing was transparent. That personal touch made along with a very competitive price made a big difference and gave me confidence right from the start, especially given the scale of the investment. The installation process itself was excellent. The scaffolding and panel installation were handled professionally and efficiently, and everything was completed to a high standard. The post-installation support has also been very strong. There was a minor issue with one of the components, but Greenstar took ownership and worked with GoodWe to have it resolved the very next day, which was impressive. It’s now been about a month since the system was installed, and everything is running smoothly. The app is intuitive and makes it easy to monitor battery status, household consumption, and grid usage. I’m already seeing a clear positive impact on my daily energy usage and export credits, that supports the repayment period being aligned to their proposal. If I were to offer a minor piece of constructive feedback, it would be around customer continuity. At times it felt like I interacted with multiple people throughout the process. While I understand this can be unavoidable given different roles within the company, having a single consistent point of contact would enhance the experience even further. That said, this doesn’t take away from what has been a 5-star experience overall. Every individual I dealt with still provided excellent service, and I would highly recommend Greenstar to anyone considering solar and battery installation!

Very impressed with Greenstar. Initially Jon was my contact he visited and quoted for the job. I'd had several other companies quote over the years but I felt that he was honest and helpful and genuinely wanted to give a good job at a reasonable price. He even offered to clear my garage on the day of installation! That would just have been too embarrasing. The fitting team were incredibly hard working, the 19 panels were in place with any interference, all completed and tidied up in one day. After that Craig took over assisting setting up and getting on the right tarriff, I couldn't have done it without him.

Absolutely top work from a great team. Fantastic communication throughout, they prefer to visit personally rather than design the solar kit remotely - I love this approach. The installation looks fantastic and my house was left in great condition after the install (I found a single zip tie when clearing up!) Now the kit has been in for a month, it’s been working brilliantly throughout and I can already see the difference in my energy bills - even in January

Excellent solar / battery installation company. Had 9.5kW of solar + 24kW of battery installed. Greenstar were never pushy and always happy to answer my questions and accommodate my installation requests. Their handover and commissioning procedure was very welcome as we walked through setting up the app to get the best out of a tou tariff. Would (and will) definitely recommend.

What a refreshing change to find a company who understand the importance of customer care, professionalism and communication!. When we started on our solar journey we knew very little about it all but fortunately we found ourselves in the hands of Greenstar Solar. They were immediately very helpful and informative but with never a hint of hard sell. On the first visit, by Jon, we were given a detailed explanation of current solar technology, how it could benefit us and what our options were. This was followed up within 48 hours by a detailed but easily understandable quotation with a number of alternative solutions. Once we made a decision the process was very easy, very smooth and very well organised, and included an on-site pre-installation survey. The installation went really well and we now have a 16 panel system with 8kW battery storage and, even before we start feeding energy back to the supply grid, we can already see savings on our energy costs. A great investment that cost less than we’d expected. Our sincere thanks to Tobias, Craig, Jon, Jack and, in particular, to Anthony and Arthur, who carried out the installation quickly and cheerfully and left everything neat and tidy. 10 out of 10 Greenstar – well deserved. For a start, Greenstar beat any other quote I received.  And I checked for reviews to see if the components I was getting were any good. And yes they were all highly rated.  I was not pressurised into buying anything and was given very good advice on what to buy and what I did not need. They only sold me items that would benefit my needs (no added extras).  I found the company both very professional and competent.  The instaltion took 7 hours for a 24 panel system with battery/Iboost and emergency back up in case of a power cut. The install crew were very good, clean tidy and friendly. The final handover was excellent and the whole system explained to me in great detail, so I can benefit from adjusting the system to make the most efficient use.  Aftercare is a must for me and they have also been excellent in this department, no query or message has gone un-answered. I would highly recommend this company.

Absolutely first class from start to finish, good advice from local like minded people. We opted for 14 panels, 6kW inverter and 8kW battery. They and the system installation out performed my expectations and I’m so pleased I didn’t go with one of large nations that hounded me with poor understanding of what they were selling… I have no hesitation in recommending Greenstar for residential or indeed commercial on or off grid systems and wish them every success.

I’m very happy with my solar install from Greenstar Solar. I had 11 panels, a Zappi EV charger and an EcoFlow battery installed, and the whole process went smoothly. The customer service has been excellent — both Jack and John were very quick to respond to any issues I had and were always courteous and understanding. Any concerns were resolved quickly and professionally. I’m impressed with their efficiency and attention to detail, and I would happily recommend them to others.

Greenstar provided a competitive quote—not the cheapest, but certainly not the most expensive either. The entire process, from scaffolding to installation, was carried out to a high standard by their team. Impressively, the scaffolding was removed just days after the installation, which was a pleasant surprise, especially compared to other homes where scaffolding remained for months. While the handover process was slightly delayed, it was understandable given their workload and the fact that they operate with a small team of directors. That said, Greenstar has been responsive and accessible, always available via phone or email.We’re already noticing significant energy savings. Now that we’ve familiarised ourselves with the app connected to the solar panels, we can monitor our energy usage more effectively and adjust our habits to maximise savings Would I recommend Greenstar - YES!!
