SCA Electrical / Security (SCA Solar)

SCA Solar were excellent from start to finish. The site visit was thorough, and the quote they provided was clear, comprehensive, and completely transparent. Communication throughout the process was first class. The team fitted the solar panels, inverter, and gateway for backup power with real professionalism, and the installation was neat and well organised. Their follow up after the work was completed showed genuine care and commitment to quality.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a reliable, professional solar installation.

Shaun and his team made the whole process easy. From a prompt site visit to providing a quote, through to installation of 12 panels/SIGENERGY battery and an earth rod, everything went to plan. Excellent communication and workmanship. Highly revommended.

For the interests of transparency I wrote the review but asked ChatGPT to tidy it up. My spelling and grammar isn’t great. In March 2026, I reached out to three local solar panel companies in Cheshire as I was looking into having a solar and battery system installed at home. Out of the three companies I contacted, SCA Solar were the only company who actually picked up the phone, spoke to me properly, and explained how their quoting process worked. The others simply sent over a generic email and said they would provide a quote based on Google Maps. Within a couple of days, Shaun from SCA Solar came out to my house and carried out a proper inspection of the property. He checked the roof, the attic space, the outside of the building, and talked through the options available. This made a big difference to me, as it felt like I was dealing with a real local company who genuinely wanted to understand the property and design the right system, rather than just sending over a standard quote from satellite images. The quote I received was clear and included an estimated return on investment, which helped me understand the long-term benefits of the system. I decided to go ahead fairly quickly and also opted for a few extras, including battery storage and a gateway for backup power. The system itself included modern high-output solar panels, a hybrid inverter, and a Sigenergy battery setup, giving me the ability to generate, store, and make better use of my own electricity. There was also an EV charger included as part of the wider plan, but due to stock availability this has not been installed yet. Shaun handled this professionally and simply removed the relevant amount from the final invoice for now, with that part to be paid once the charger is installed. These things happen, and it was dealt with fairly and transparently, so it was no issue at all. Throughout the whole process, Shaun kept me fully informed and managed everything from start to finish. Communication was excellent, and I always felt like I knew what was happening and when. Everyone involved in the installation was professional, friendly, and clearly took pride in their work. The installation was carried out neatly, and the team were respectful of the property throughout. For anyone considering solar, I would strongly recommend using a company that actually visits your property, checks the roof properly, looks at the attic and cable routes, and takes the time to explain the system. Solar is a long-term investment, and having the right advice at the start makes a big difference. I couldn’t be happier with the service I received from SCA Solar, and without hesitation I would recommend them to anyone considering solar panels, battery storage, EV charging, or backup power options.

Great service from people who know what they are doing!

Shaun provided a quote very quickly and we agreed an install date that was adhered to. Very efficient job indeed, and I would highly recommend the company.

Great job - knowledgable and reliable! Diagnosed the fault and fixed it quickly and efficiently. Thanks Shaun

Shaun was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. He gave us a number of options for our Solar installation, with lots of information and advice to make our decision. The installation went in smoothly, on time, and the team efficient and friendly. Very pleased with our installation and highly recommend them.

So very simple really , from contacting SCA solar in the first instance all the way to my sig energy system being fitted and commissioned I have found Shaun and his team to be honest , friendly, helpful and extremely competent in there abilities . I would definitely recommend Shaun and SCA solar and I personally would always use a local firm I can talk to and feel confidence in rather than a national company that can be harder to deal with once the job is completed , altogether I’m very happy with my solar system including 2 batteries and a gateway which gives me great savings and electricity in the event of an outage .

Shaun was very friendly and very helpful. Shaun advised us of different options available to us. Shaun kept us up to date with the progress of the works. Highly recommend. Thanks again

Rang SCA Solar. Came out next day and identified the fault. Ordered the required replacement. Rang to arrange a date to fix and arrived when agreed. All up and working within 90 mins

SCA installed my Tesla Powerwall and solar. SCA is a great company to deal with, knowledgeable, professional, quick and efficient. Recommended.

We recently had a solar pv system installed by SCA Solar and cannot praise the company highly enough. We heard about them from a neighbour who was very satisfied with their work, so we arranged a meeting with Shaun. He gave us advice about where to site the panels and talked us through the process and what to expect. There was no pushy sales pitch, just plenty of useful information. He sent us a quote shortly afterwards and once we decided to go ahead there was no delay. His team of scaffolders, electricians and installers all arrived as promised and worked quickly and efficiently, the whole thing up and running in less than two days. We have no hesitation in recommending SCA.

I would highly recommend Shaun and the SCA solar team. A great experience from them all. Thank you

SCA Solar were brilliant! I wanted to use a local company as I had heard some terrible stories about the large national companies, so I researched reviews for local companies before choosing. I found SCA Solar to be professional in every way. they were always available to speak with and they did a great job. I would definitely recommend them. I now have a local solar company that I can trust if I need assistance in the future.

A GREAT experience from start to finish. I can highly recommend SCA. Shaun and the team advised us professionally, delivered on time and supported us completely. So good to find a company with integrity, that does what they promise at the time they commit to. Overall we have been delighted with our Solar experience. Thanks Shaun and the team!

Thank you to the whole SCA team for our solar, twin hybrid inverter and battery installation. In the 12 months since installation May 2024 we have produced almost 10,000 kWh from the 9.3kw south east facing array. Fantastic advice, super efficient and neat installation and great personal service. We followed a personal recommendation from a friend, and are delighted to be passing that recommendation on to others.

Shaun and his team were extremely professional and respectful to my property. They took the time to demonstrate the function of the solar panels and tips on how to utilise to get the most out if them. Nothing was too much trouble and would highly recommend.

SCA installed my solar panel battery and car charger system 2 years ago. I went to SCA having seen work they had done for someone in my area being impressed with the quality of the installation. I was very happy with the quality of my own installation. My system has worked well for this time. There have been a couple of queries needing to be answered and SCA's response has always been prompt and the problem resolved.

Excellent experience of working with SCA Solar, Shaun came out to give me the initial quote and I was very impressed with his knowledge. Shaun kept me updated at all times of when everyone would be coming. I cant complement the two fitters enough, Ben who fitted the panels and Chris who did the electrical side of things. Both polite and courteous and very clean and tidy. Excellent job all round, thank you.

In every way this solar installation was an enjoyable and positive experience. Shaun, the company owner, is both a courteous individual whilst at the same time being clearly very knowledgeable about solar installations. He cared about what he was proposing for us, was flexible as we made changes over time and at the end came through with a price that was most competitive. The installation itself was faultless. In two days Shaun, Simon and Ryan worked wonders in installing the equipment and Mark did his electrical magic in wiring it up. By the end of the second day we were up and running. Throughout the whole time Shaun and his office colleagues, Hannah and Denise, kept us fully informed of the various stages that involved third party organisations so that there was never a time one was left wondering what was going on. Seriously good customer relations are a clear trademark for the company.. Highly recommended if you are thinking about solar energy.

Shaun and the team at SCA Solar have been absolutely brilliant from start to finish! The service was incredibly fast and professional. They were always there to answer all my questions, no matter how many I had, and they made the whole process easy and stress-free. The solar panels look amazing-really neat and tidy work. I couldn’t be happier with the result! I highly recommend SCA Solar to anyone!

Friendly, thorough and professional. Shaun kept me informed all the way through and the installation was done to a great standard. Very satisfied and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

I highly recommend SCA Solar i’ve been a tradesmen for nearly 40 years and I’ve met many trades people in my time some good so some not so good and every so often you come across a set of trades people who go that extra little bit just to make sure the job is spot-on and all the staff of this company have that mindset from the ladies in the office to the guys who put the scaffold up to the electricians I can’t recommend them enough absolutely brilliant and the after sales service fantastic

I cannot recommend SCA solar more highly. We were originally signed to a national solar company who weren't really delivering the system we wanted or needed. After a call and appointment with Shaun (who has extensive solar knowledge and expertise) we went ahead with an installation of 26 panels and a 10kw battery - it has been amazing from Day 1. So much so and 2 years on we have added an additional 10kw battery - we have minimal bills to pay in winter, and have an additional small summer income from exporting excess. If you are wondering whether you should, i would say dont hesitate to use SCA solar - you will get a great system from a local independent company who are always there in the background for any niggles. Thank you!

Recently I had a seriously leaking roof which required the removal of four solar PV panels to permit the repair. The original repairer had ceased trading so I contacted SCA Solar. They responded quickly to this situation, to my relief. They know what they are talking about, and just as importantly listened to my needs. They did what they promised, when they promised. Courteous and efficient - what more do you need? DB, Rudyard

Friendly and professional service. Shaun and his team did an excellent job of fitting our solar panel and battery storage system and car charger. It was as stress-free (for us) as it could be. His team were really friendly and took the time to explain things and take questions. The personal service we have had throughout has been brilliant, and they have reassured us that they are here to help if we have any questions or issues going forwards. We are very pleased with the system provided and very pleased we chose their service. 100% recommended.

Shaun and SCA Solar designed and fitted my domestic solar and battery system. Shaun understood my needs and ensured the system met them, which most other companies failed to do. From quote to completion Shaun was demonstrably better, being local and client focussed really showed. Communication and speed of installation was great, with any hiccups sorted quickly. I can’t recommend SCA more, its great that a local company can beat the corporates in every way, and if I ever need an upgrade I’ll be using SCA again.

SCA solar were professional and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. Everything was explained fully and due to unexpected family problems we were given plenty of time to decide to go ahead. Work was done on time and staff were always polite and helpful. Sean is approachable and always willing to give advice or sort out minor hiccups. We have no hesitation in recommending them if you are thinking of having solar panels etc installed. It's always nice to support smaller local businesses like this one

I had recently purchased an electric van & was wondering if solar pannels would be worth looking at I rang SCA & straight away received great customer service Shaun came round and measured up and told me the best system to have including batteries The service from then was very well organised and the system was all installed up & running within 3 weeks A month on it is great certainly saving me money Well worth looking at — will save you money Martin

Contacted SCA Solar to look at my faulty inverter as the installation company had ceased to trade.Shaun explained that I needed a new inverter and he contacted the company and arranged everything and kept me informed of the process, happily now up and generating. SCA Solar excellent company to work with and have no hesitation in recommending this company.

With such a big complicated purchase it is hard to do justice in a short review. However if considering having Solar Panels I thoroughly recommend Shaun and team at SCA Solar. I chose them because they are local. But not just that because I received a thoroughly professional service from design to completion. All Full warrantied and supported much more than any other firm could provide. They have all the processes and assured promises that a big firm might offer all with a local and personal touch. It is not something I have really ever experienced before when having a big project done on a domestic level. It's quite special. All that with knowledge and design that has already proven to be a great fit. And I have the assurance and confidence that if things should need attention now or in the next 12 years that the team will be there to back me up. And if not I have all professional underwritten warranties I could draw on. All provided in one pack.. Thanks SCASolar

Shaun and his team were recommended to me by a friend whose solar panels and battery set up were installed by SCA a year or so ago. Right from the word go I was impressed by Shaun . He has over 10 years experience of the "Solar Panels plus batteries world" and it shows. He and his team have a very good customer service ethic . He was always punctual or called to let me know if he had been delayed by traffic. He explained the installation process and gave me all the information I needed. Within a month or so of our first meeting in February his team had our panels , inverter and batteries installed and running . It is a very neat installation - from the arrays of PV panels themselves to the connections to our electricity supply in our garage. I would not hesitate to recommend SCA Solar to my friends.

I was recommended SCA Solar by a close friend who had a system installed earlier in the year. After Shaun’s initial visit and assessment of what we would need the whole process was complete within 2 weeks and Shaun and the team managed the various trades. Very pleased with the communication and the standard of the work and the panel fitters and electricians were great with a very neat and clean job. Would definitely recommend SCA Solar to friends and neighbours.

The saying " No Job Too Small " I feel is always a throw away comment from a lot of companies. But not for Shaun at SCA Solar! Having an existing Domestic Solar installation that had developed a fault was a concern for me. Having contacted a number of companies that were only interested in an installation I came across Shaun at SCA Solar . I wish he had been the first call ! The process that we all believe should be straight forward with any company ( but half the time isnt!) was just that . We phoned , they answered , appointment made, with fees clearly explained from the outset , fees I was satisfied to accept! Shaun duly arrived on the day and at the time arranged and quickly got on with assessing the job . Turned out to be fairly straight forward so he fixed it there and then. Unfortunately the Solar panels didnt want to reconnect properly to the Inverter , so quick job got longer. Shaun kept trying but realised he would have to visit again. Before leaving he informed us the the price would not change and kept his promise and rearranged , turned up on time again and made good , now we are back up and running! Pleasing to find someone like Shaun who finds the time to look after ALL customers no matter how big the job ! Would totally recommend - Thanks Shaun !

Had to call them out to look at a faulty inverter. Shaun came and looked at it, then came and fitted a new one. He was not pushy, only did what was needed. Cleaned up very well afterwards. System now working fine. Couldn't ask for better or friendlier service. Highly recommend.

Excellent, competent, installation. Neat and efficient. Would thoroughly recommend.

Everything done to time and kept fully informed throughout. Lovely people to deal with.

shauns team arrived on time and the install took just under a day - the system is working fine and I am already looking to have some additions to it , if you want solar speak to shaun & his team

Very pleased with our SCA solar installation. Shaun kept in regular close contact to keep us informed of times and dates of installation. Further to that he has been easily contactable to answer some of our queries since the installation . Highly recommended

Absolutely brilliant service from SCASolar for my solar and battery install. Even with the delays in getting batteries post-COVID (nothing to do with SCASolar) they kept me informed on progress. Come installation everything was done neatly and carefully. Been running now for over 2 months without it missing a beat. And my electricity bills have plummeted. Just what I wanted :-)

Fabulous service from SCA re my problematic FIT meter. Shaun replaced it straight away and provided all the detailed info. Scottish Power demanded. Fast, knowledgeable, professional - and not stupidly expensive. I would recommend SCA to anyone - and will!!

I've recently had solar panels (4KW) and 2 x GivEnergy batteries installed by SCA Solar and I can't recommend them highly enough. The quote was competitive, communication from order through to installation was great and the guys who fitted everything did a fantastic job. It's a family sized house with 2 electric cars and I've shaved 80% off my electric bill. It should pay for itself in less than 3 years.
