⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Excellent Service from Start to Finish I couldn’t recommend The Solar House highly enough. From the initial enquiry through to installation, the whole experience has been excellent. Sean, Ryan and the team have been fantastic throughout, taking the time to answer my many questions and explain the different options available. We opted for a 17-panel solar system, Tesla Powerwall 3 and Hypervolt EV charger. The team were knowledgeable, professional and genuinely helpful in making sure the system was right for our needs, particularly around battery storage, EV charging and making the most of smart energy tariffs. The installation itself was carried out to a high standard, with everything explained clearly and the team making sure we were happy with how it all worked. What has impressed me most is the customer service. Nothing has ever felt like too much trouble, and they’ve been more than happy to offer advice and support beyond the installation itself. The system is now up and running, performing really well, and we’re already seeing the benefits in reduced electricity consumption from the grid. A great local company with excellent knowledge, workmanship and customer service. Would happily recommend The Solar House to anyone considering solar and battery storage. The Solar House Cardiff branch worked through a tricky DNO application and gave me good options with the results. Installation was all completed in 2 days and scaffolding came down 2 days after that. Very happy.

If you’re short of time… use The Solar House. Local, honest, knowledgeable, no pressure, brilliant communication and a system that is already doing exactly what we hoped it would. We had several quotes, but The Solar House stood out because they listened to what we wanted, gave us different options and explained everything properly without pushing us towards the most expensive system. We were shown options including Tesla, EcoFlow and GoodWe. I love a gadget and some of the premium features sound brilliant, but The Solar House helped us focus on what we actually needed rather than what looked clever in a brochure. We ultimately chose a GoodWe system with 16 kWh of battery storage and 19 LONGi 480 W panels, giving us a 9.12 kWp array. It suited how we use energy, the electric cars we charge at home and the fact we are due to have an air source heat pump installed shortly. Dan was honest from the start, Ryan and Wayne were brilliant throughout, Kate has been fantastic with communication and aftercare, and Abbie has been excellent with the paperwork. The installation team were polite, tidy and incredibly efficient. Everything was installed neatly and explained properly. Even in September we have already had several days generating around *29–30 kWh*, with days where we have barely imported anything from the grid while still charging cars, heating water and running a normal family home. We did have a small battery issue after installation, but Kate dealt with GoodWe and got it resolved. We also queried a small MCS paperwork discrepancy and that was sorted without fuss. Nothing is perfect, but how a company deals with issues is what really matters, and their aftercare has been excellent. We are also going through *Green Homes Wales*, so this installation forms part of a wider move away from gas and towards a greener, more future-proof home. The Solar House openly say they are not always the cheapest, but when I compared everything properly there was not a huge amount in it. For me, the advice, local support, quality of installation and aftercare made them better value. The Solar House really do have that local-company feel. They understand that a house is not just a building, it is your home. We genuinely could not be happier. Five stars and absolutely recommended.

After getting various quotes for our solar panel and battery install, I made a very easy decision to get them installed by The Solar House. From the very first interaction and meetings in their amazing showroom in Cheltenham with Alex, everything was fully explained in an easy to understand language. Follow up calls from project manager Kate were excellent At the initial meeting I was given various options with no hard sell whatsoever. Compared to other companies who promised price reductions if I signed up there and then, there was none of that sales tactic. All through to the install Joshua and Jordan the electricians and Richard and Ash the solar panel installation were amazing. Highly recommend. The team at the solar house were excellent through the whole process. During the initial stage, the sales engineers made sure the system would work for me and my energy habits while keeping the offering simple and easy for me to follow. This made the initial process before I got any kit on the ground feel straight forward and painless. Afterwards came the site survey. At this stage some things had to change due to the limitation of the roof (a soil stack and extractor fan were in the way), but that’s what these visits are for! With some minor adjustments and some quick changes, the final designs were in and a date was set. They were also able to sort out an outdoor tap move & gate rehang for me as well, which made the install location more convenient. Within a week the scaffolding was up and the system was installed. It was that quick. The install team made everything look super neat and the cable runs are immaculate. The roofers also fixed an issue I’ve had with my guttering since the day I moved in while they were up there. Which was very good of them! The day after the install the team called to confirm the status and started the handover. Shortly afterwards, the scaffolding came down and I had all the paperwork I need for insurances & export (SEG) applications. I would highly recommend the solar house to anyone in their install area. We decided to go for Solar House because they are a local company, with no pressure selling and very positive recommendations from a neighbour. From start to finish they were extremely professional, in providing designs and quotes, doing surveys, installation and support. The bit we worried about the most was the work on the roof, but the scaffolders and roofers they used were very good. The electrical installation and phone apps are great. In summary, we're very happy with our installation and to recommend The Solar House.

What a fantastic experience from start to finish. I sat down with Dan in the Cardiff showroom and he went through the options with me. The install team were brilliant, they turned up when they said they would, seamless installation and ran through the system with me. We’’ve been running ‘off grid’ pretty much since then. Met Wayne who is a great ambassador for the company. Showed me the panels and battery options. The only company that actually visited my house to physically check its suitability for a solar panels. The company sent out Sean, who is one of the engineers who installs the systems. From start to finish the whole service was exceptional. Now everything is up and running Wayne helped me register my system with my energy supplier to sell back my surplus power. I can't highly recommend the Solar House -From beginning to end the whole process was very simple and stress free. It was really nice to have a local showroom to pop and discuss the various options available -staff were very knowledgable and there was never a hard sell! The survey was very informative and the subsequent installation was very smooth -really good scaffolders and electricians had the job done in a couple of days.There was one small misunderstanding on the install which was very quickly and efficiently resolved. The system has been up an running for a few months now and I can't fault it.

Solar House gave us sound advice without pressure, listened to what we wanted and came up with a great design. Fitting only took 2 days and we were up and running. They also helped with paperwork for setting up our exporting. All round friendly and efficient 👍

The team at The Solar House couldn't have made the experience of finding out what solar system options are available to me more friendly, informative and straight forward. From the first appointment I had with Ryan at the showroom in Whitchurch who showed me clearly on-screen what my options were, the survey with Jason who highlighted to me whereabouts on my property the battery would go in relation to what my vision of the install would look like and clearing up any questions I might have. Even the install day which was done by a great bunch of guys. Even the communication afterwards from Abbie and Kate keeping me informed of what my grid access status was and providing me with all of my evidence documents so that I could start selling my excess generation back to the grid! Couldn't recommend the guys at The Solar House enough.

Installation of the solar panels was superb. Whole job was completed in less than 4 hours and the scaffolding, which went up the previous day, was taken down the afternoon after they had finished. We are over the moon with the results - even more so that it has been very sunny since completion and we have used almost no electricity or gas (immersion heater for water) from the grid since. Thanks to all involved in making it such a simple process from start to finish.

The Solar House does exactly what they promote on social media. I contacted them, arranged a meeting, they explained everything clearly answered questions on every level and followed up with a quote. No hard sales during or after the meeting. After requesting a survey, again with no pressure on progressing with a purchase the survey confirmed there would be no installation issues and no additional cost. Installation was scheduled to my preference and was completed without any issues, scaffolding installation the day before and installation completed in less than a full day. Cannot fault the consumer approach or the level of service would highly recommend them.

Scaffolding booked to de erected on a Friday,it was erected on Thursday. Solar panels, batteries, fitted on the Monday completed in a day. Scaffolding came down on the Wednesday. No mess very professional from start to finish.

Had a few quotes from local installers but went with The Solar House who were very competitively priced for 14 x 500w panels, 10kw batteries, 6 kw inverter and an EV charger. Excellent experience from start to finish. Clear communication throughout the design, install and post install stages and they were happy to discuss my requirements and answer questions throughout, whether that be in person, via phone or email/message. The installation team were excellent, making sure exactly what I wanted on the day of install, giving a number of solutions to what I was looking for. Installation went smoothly despite torrential rain, with the job completed quickly and neatly. Everything was fully explained and I was shown that everything was working optimally before the team left. Post install experience with the project management team has been excellent also, with check ins and updates on things like DNO, EIC and MCS certificates. I can’t recommend The Solar House highly enough.

A great experience from my initial enquiry at the shop in Whitchurch, through to the survey and then the install. Everything was arranged and communicated well, scaffolders turned up when they were supposed to. The roofers installed the panels within a couple of hours on a very hot day. Sean & Brad then did their electrical wizardry and connected it all up to the Goodwe battery and inverter. By 4pm I was off grid!!. Sean & Brad were excellent throughout, hiding all the wires where they could. They are both a credit to The Solar House. Anyone looking for solar, look no further than The Solar House, highly recommended.

Good service, was goid to visit the shop and get to see what you were getting in advance. We aldo had scaffold early in order to refelt the roof before habing the solar installed. W had solar also on garage, so hzve panels facing south on the house and east/west on the garage. Batteries added to get us through the night and come winter i hope that what monet we make from the SEG will pay for the power from the grid in winter and what power we do buy will be off peak rates.....so hoping to hardly ever buy peak power.....which given we hae 5 bed home, hot tub and hybrid EV will be a big saving year on year for us. Will tell you in 12 months how its egorked out for us.

Sean and the team did an amazing job,supper quick, super tidy and all very friendly. We were very happy with the quality of their work and service. Everything was completed in the time frame with lots of communication.The technology used was first rate and all the latest state of the art equipment. We had batteries installed to our existing solar system, the guys analysed our existing system and recommended the correct battery size to fit our needs and installed everything with easy. They were also very sympathetic with their wiring and trunking as not to spoil the aesthetics of our house. Everything was explained in a way we could understand and the couple of small problems that arose were dealt with immediately. We worked with Solar House on a commercial instalation at our club house. Many suppliers and trades were involved as it was a charitable project. The guys at Solar House, Wayne in particular, managed the whole thing from design, sourcing the right products for us, working out the figures and the best way for us to benefit, bringing the suppliers together and pulling in the install teams. The Installation has been very professionally done and we are very happy with the cleanliness and look. The software and apps were explained in detail which has helped us minimise our energy bills. I would highly recommend the very professional staff at the Solar House if you are looking to install solar.

Absolutely top drawer. During the design process they were the only supplier who felt like they were listening to what we were looking for and we've got an absolutely brilliant set up at a really reasonable price. They beat the large national companies, who tend to mask big profits by specifying very small installs, on all points. The Customer service has been exemplary, the installation team were great and it was done well within a single day and the post installation support is amazing. If you are looking at Solar in South Wales or the South West you really should give them a call.

From the initial moment I walked into the office I was treated with honesty and respect. The explanation and costings were straightforward and accurate. The installation was very professional and the installers were workmanlike and proficient. A month later all is working as planned. Only one minor glitch and that was rectified immediately (within a few hours). Thanks to the whole team for a stress free design and installation. Just wish I had a bit more roof space !

Good advice and a range of quality options helped me choose what was appropriate for me (avoiding the toxic Tesla brand) withy my existing panels and heating system. Excellent communication from the back-office team kept me informed all through this process. The installation team were efficient, polte, and very informative too, helping me understand the progression. One missing cover was later fitted at a second visit, as was a minor teething bug. I would thoroughly recommend Solar House for their efficiency and truthfullness. In a market prone to sharp sales techniques they are a model of what a service should be.

From my first phone call to a couple of visits to the Cheltenham showroom through to the project being completed it couldn't have been smoother. Was looking around for a local solar company to fit solar panels, found this company called Solar House. I popped down to there local showroom which is in Cardiff . They were extremely thorough in explaining products and prices. Next step was they came and surveyed my home and they were extremely professional in explaining where panels would be fitted and how things would work. Around three weeks later scaffolding was erected and system was fitted all in one day to a very high and professional standard. Extremely pleased with the outcome and expertise of this company. Since I have had this system fitted which is around 3 months my electricity bill has halved. Would highly recommend the company for knowledge and products and highly recommend getting this system to save money on bills.

After looking at quite a few companies offer ing Solar installation we chose The Solar House Cardiff, particularly because we were able to visit their showroom in Cardiff to meet Wayne who would explain to us in laymans terms how Solar works. From the initial start of the work to completion, the company was excellent in keeping us informed of all procedures. They were well organised and extremely quick in undertaking the work efficiently. Brilliant solar experience - definitely recommend using The Solar House! Solar installation went as smoothly as I could have hoped for. They were responsive and helpful from the get to, and kept me in the loop at every step. They weren't pushy about making the sale and took onboard all of my requirements to get the right set up for me. I tied in the install with getting work done on my roof and they worked alongside the roofers to get it all up and running seamlessly. All round they've done a brilliant job!

I can't rate the team at Solar House highly enough. Wayne and Dan were both helpful and knowledgeable without any hard sell or pressure involved. A visit to their showroom in Cardiff also proved useful to talk through and better understand the solar options for our property before committing. We ended up selecting a 10.8kW (24 panel) solar system with 10.2kWh battery storage (2 x 5.1kW Ecoflow units), plus an EV charger. We had quotes from several other companies but chose Solar House based on value for money and confidence in them from our initial experience and from online reviews. Kate organised the work very well and our experience with all teams involved was positive. From the scaffolders, to the solar panel installers and the electricians led by Josh, all were courteous and helpful. Most of the work was completed in one day with Josh returning to finish fitting the second battery and inverter on another day. They did have have some issues installing the original Zappi EV charger but again this was chased up by Kate and a replacement unit was refitted by Josh, and is now working well. The following week, Kate provided the necessary info for us to apply for an MPLAN and get onto an export tariff (I would recommend Octopus). I'm now obsessed with looking at the Ecoflow app to check how much energy I'm generating and using!

Dan came out and advised and quoted our system, he was very professional in his approach so this sold it to me. The installation was all very smooth, workers were spotlessly clean and very attentive in their work. The aftercare and communication from Katie has been great to. All in all an excellent experience with the Solar house. Id certainly reccomend to all friends and family

Solar House installed the battery & panels on 20/08/25 (Josh & Niall). Everything went to plan and was completed in one day. Overall, from start to finish the team at Solar House (Cardiff) are extremely professional in what they do (this does include the scaffolders & roofers who installed the panels!). The Solar House installed my solar panels and battery system complete a couple of weeks ago. From start to finish all of the team was great. The team take you through planning to completion. The best part is no hard selling for extras not required. They explained what the solar system will do when powering my house. The team will answer any questions, which we then wanted the power socket from the battery into our house for power outage. The team are very professional and no mess was left after all installation. After reviewing several Solar Panel / Battery providers we selected The Solar House based in Whitchurch, Cardiff. The bonus was that Solar House had a showroom, which we were able to visit, discuss our requirements and actually "see & touch" the Solar Panels & Battery types. We selected 16 Solar Panels, the EcoFlow battery system, which seemed a more robust option and an Andersen EV Charging Point. Throughout the process, Dan, Wayne & Kate were extremely helpful and kept us in the loop. The 3 teams; Scaffolders, Roofers & Electricians were extremely hard working & efficient. The Solar installation and all electrical items were completed in one day ..... amazing !!! Dan and the Solar House team have provided a great service in order to "future proof" our home. A great team effort, thank you. All we have to do is to obtain the appropriate Certification paperwork to submit to Octopus Energy and change to a Solar Tariff and hopefully cut down on rising Energy costs.

I had Solar Panels installed on Thursday 14th August 2025. The complete project from start to completion was flawless. My girlfriend & I popped in to "The Solar House" in Whitchurch (Cardiff) one Saturday morning and was seen by Harvey. Harvey was professional throughout and gave a comprehensive explanation of Home Solar Panels. The Solar House have Three Battery / Invertor Options and I went for the Ecoflow, which is the best currently on the market with the benefit of a longer guarantee. The "Install" took place a few weeks later on a mutually agreeable date and the solar panels flew in. The Roofers installing the Solar Panels were top notch and the two electricians undertaking the electrical connections were superb. I am extremely happy with the system and with the team that installed it. I have recommended The Solar House to quite a few people since particularly as I can see that my house is 99% independent of the Grid. We had the solar system installed nearly a month ago. It was 8 panels with 5kWh battery. When Dan from The Solar House visited us, there was no bewitching, no stories about being better than others, or being the best. He just gave us a comprehensive quote based on measurements he did with his drone, calculated exactly how many panels would fit on our roof (others only assumed and never went for this many). When I asked for a specific equipment, Dan just recalculated everything and generated another quote. Seemed to me that they were not bounded to a particular make or dealer of the solar systems. At the same time, Dan was very knowledgeable and advised us on feasibility of every option and variation we came up with. At the end, we decided to go for their small local company to support local businesses, but also we knew from experience that big companies can sometimes afford to do things wrong. And it was an excellent decision. They really made sure everything was tip-top to the smallest details. Everything was discussed: layout and location of electrics, even colour of cables to match the walls. Communication with the company throughout and after the project has been excellent. We had the system installed within two weeks from the agreement. First day scaffolding was put up, following day the panels arrived with a team who mounted them on roof in no more than 3 hours. Sean, the electrician spent 2 full days doing the rest of the magic. He was also very professional. Didn't do anything without consulting with us. The job he did was outstanding, no cowboying, no messing about. No problem with adding extra feature (backup mains socket to supply electricity in event of a power cut), which wasn't initially planned. All done neat and clean, like he's never been here. Sean made sure all was working before he left (including the app), explained everything, and made sure we were all happy with the installation. Handover paperwork arrived a couple of days later, including documents required to apply for the SEG ( an account to sell surplus electricity back to the grid). I had to apply for it myself, and as of today, it has not yet been set up. It's irrelevant to The Solar House anyway. There is one more document I'm still waiting for, which is the building regulations certificate. Apparently, this will be delivered to us directly from the authorities. I will update the review accordingly. I would definitely recommend The Solar House to anybody who considers the installation of a solar panels system. Outstanding service start to finish. No pushy sales, and listened to what I wanted. Solar panel install guys were friendly and informative and clearly knew what they were doing. The Solar House are a great company: In January, I purchased my first electric car and installed a MyEnergi Zappi EV charger. Inspired to reduce energy costs, I explored solar PV options and liked that MyEnergi’s app integrates products. After a disappointing experience with a large company, I contacted The Solar House and was impressed. Their team listened, invited me to view products, and provided a detailed proposal using MyEnergi products. Luke and Dan explained everything thoroughly, including the need for a second inverter. My installation wasn’t that straightforward as my home already had 3 old PV panels, and I had a small leisure solar system on my garage. Sean came to do a survey and worked out optimal cable runs and equipment placement. The team (within weeks) installed 12 panels on my roof, 4 on the garage (7.36kW), 2 batteries (10.4kWh), and a hot water diverter (Eddi). Sean’s professional and neat electrical work was exceptional and he even ensured firmware updates were installed and did a full system walkthrough, including the app. After just five days, the system has been remarkable (admittedly so has the weather). The boiler remains off, we’ve had consistent hot water, and my car charged from 45% to 82% while powering the house and fully charging the batteries on a day I worked from home. Gas usage is zero, and daily electricity costs are pence. I’m switching to the Export Guarantee Scheme and cancelling my old FIT payments which I could do quickly because The Solar House’s documentation with certificates was sent the day after installation. I can’t recommend The Solar House enough—efficient, knowledgeable, and truly excellent service. Thank you!

Sean was professional and respectful, the job he done is looking great, when the system was installed I started saving money instantly. Superb company, from start to finish everything was far above what we could of hoped for. There was no sales pressure at all, just genuine honest info, which made it really easy for us to decide. The installers were brilliant and our solar system is already saving us money during the winter months.
