Nottingham Building & Roofing Ltd

Happy with promptness of work, fab communication and general professionalism. Had already reached out to several roofers before contacting John. Had already had so many different quotes and various advice about possible repair work. Found John to be straightforward. He provided clear details about nature of work, duration and cost. This gave us the reassurance to book the job. Chimney stack removal. Thanks John and team.

Sorted guttering issue really quickly to a high standard and a fair price. Would definitely recommend!

John and his team have done a number of jobs for me including fixing the gutters, roof valley that was letting water inside and fixing a row of slates. John is very knowledgeable, professional and always goes above and beyond to fix the issues. I highly recommend him

John and his team were professional, punctual, and friendly. Their quote was fair and I am very happy with the finished work. Definitely recommend.

Second time we have used there services for Supply and Fit Ridges, Batterns and Guttering Extremely efficient, knowledgeable and highly skilled people. Clear communication of what needs doing. Kept me informed at all times. 10/10... Will use there service again. Highly recommended.

Top class service at reasonable prices! Thank you Rob Willis

Had them out for some roof repairs - did a great job and very efficient! Reasonably priced, friendly, professional, highly recommend.

Very impressed with everything about John from promptly answering the initial enquiry through to arriving and completing the job efficiently and tidily! Would highly recommend 👍

Nottingham Building and Roofing. Highly recommended - wouldn’t go anywhere else now. Very professional, excellent finish and reasonably priced.

John and the team provided a full repoint of the front of the house, and patches to the side and back as well as some roof tile changes. I was impressed throughout, with John being very communicative on availability and staying in touch whilst the right availability and weather arrived. At the start of the job the team worked very hard in extreme heat to complete the work to a very high standard and finish with a great attention to detail. It was a very messy job with lots of dust and debris but the team cleaned all this up without a sign of dust or rubble, with the upmost curtesy to our neighbours, including hosing down their house due to the dust. I would highly recommend John and the team for any future project you have.

Excellent quality work which was clearly explained, and helpful in picking up any other issues so that we were aware. Friendly and professional service. Highly recommend.

John responded very quickly to my request and dealt with my leaking roof and chimney very promptly. I would have no hesitation in recommending John. A very professional , clean and tidy job done.

Would definitely recommend John and his team. Very prompt in contacting and visiting to quote. Price agreed and days later the job was complete. Very tidy and took photos throughout to show us the progress. This is the second time we have used them. Very pleased with both jobs. Thank you

We've called these guys out a few times and have never been disappointed. They talk sense and get the job done. Will call them out again when needed.

Great standard of work / quality materials. Really pleased with our new guttering. The Guys were polite and tidy, and the place was spotless when they left. Would highly recommend.

Had a dry verge fitted plus replace a tile very pleased with the result. Highly recommended there work

Had UPVC Dry Verge caps fitted and minor repair work done. Prompt response to my calls and fitted very quickly. Highly recommended

Great services and skills from John. John repaired my leaking gutter. Prompt reply to my messages. Repaired my gutter within 24 hours from my first message. Clear communication Throughout the repairing process. And above all that very affordable! Highly recommend his services! Thanks John.

Superb service from John and Aiden. Extremely efficient and skilled people. There was clear communication from the outset of what needed doing and how they would do it. As the job progressed, John kept me informed of the process at points along the repair. Not only are you paying for excellent workmanship but also the breadth of experience these guys have. I highly recommend them.

John was recommended by a neighbour as I had a leak around the chimney that was dripping inside the bedroom. Within a couple of days John had been up on the roof and repaired round the chimmney. Great service as called me to keep me upto date. Also called after to check all ok. Would have no hesitation in recommending John.

Very impressed by not just the quality of the work, but also by the communication. They keep you involved to let you know what's happening and when it's going to happen. They turn up when they say they will, and are great all round. Will be recommending them to anyone that needs Building/Roofing work in the future.

We’ve used John from Nottingham Building & Roofing for roofing work at a number of our properties. He has always been reliable and explains the work required clearly and where appropriate offers alternative solutions. His pricing is competitive for the work carried out.

John came to fix a leak in our roof after heavy rain. He was here at 7.30 on a Sunday morning, only an hour after calling him. It was fixed within 30 minutes, as good as new. He explained the whole process and showed where the issue was and what he had done to fix it. Great service, will definitely use again if needed 👏🏻

Second time we have used John for a roofing & gutter issue, (back & front of property). Highly recommended. Arrived on time, and work completed and done to high standards. John was very helpful and explained fully the problem and work required. Excellent communication. Would definitely use again & would not hesitate recommending to friends/family.

Excellent service, prompt and efficient. Very pleased with the service all round.

John has done two roofing jobs for me . He successfully repaired a leak to my flat roof which another company had failed to do. He has also repaired and repointed our chimney stack inserting an air brick to solve a damp problem in the old chimney. He is very knowledgeable, efficient and reliable. Great jobs. Thank you

Job included new soffits, facias and guttering. John was really friendly and helpful. He explained everything and took photos of areas we couldn't see. The job turned out to be tricker than expected but he dealt with all problems as they arose. We are really pleased with all aspects of the work and would definitely recommend.

Prompt, complete work which is holding superbly. Flexible on times. Would recommend.

Highly recommended. John did some repairs on our 100 year old original slate roof. The service was great and he was clear and honest about what needed doing. I'm very happy with the repairs and John went above and beyond to fix all the roof issues I had.

I had a leaking chimney. I called John and he was able to visit the next day and work carried out the following week. Given the nature of the work it could only be carried out in dry weather conditions. He kept me updated regarding arrival times and was very courteous taking care to tidy up after the job was completed. Very happy with the work and the service provided, I’d thoroughly recommend this local business.

I reported a problem with my roof leaking leading to a wet wall. They came out within 24 hours to have a look at it which was very good, and came when they say they would. Spent some time discussing the issue and diagnosing, which was slightly complicated by earlier attempted amateur repairs! They were able to see by lifting a couple of tiles an old birds nest which wasn't visible which wasn't helping and had contributed to a compacted blockage in the downpipe. I hadn't thought it was that, as the gutters had been cleaned out recently. They were able to resolve the problem then and there, although I was advised to keep an eye on it for a bit just in case there was more to it. Friendly and professional. Very happy with the service.

Came out quickly after first initial contact,,,John was very professional and explained what needed doing right from the start ...he managed to fit us in there and then as the job was a slight emergency, would recommend him and his assistant highly.

I highly recommend this company. Work completed is done with high standards and in a timely fashion. John is very helpful and honest and has offered advice for some smaller issues we could rectify ourselves. He is always polite and communicates well.

Appreciated the honest, experience based opinions and options given to cure a ventilation problem. Great communication at each stage of the work. Happy to recommend their customer focused ethic.

Turned up at the agreed time, did a professional job for the agreed price and left the site clean & tidy. I would be happy to use this company again and have no hesitation recommending them to others.

From the moment that John came to give us a quote I knew he was going to be the one we’d use. Professional from the outset with excellent communication between ourselves. He turned up when he said he would and did a brilliant job of our chimney stack. Would definitely use him again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to friends and family. Top job and top man. Thank you John.

John and his assistant did an excellent job replacing our guttering and also coming back to sort an issue caused by a neighbour’s blocked guttering. They were punctual, polite and efficient throughout, and we’ll certainly be using them again for other building work on our property. It was a first class service and we recommend the company without hesitation. Thanks, John.

Excellent in all respects. Great communication, clearly know what they are doing, and the roof repair looks very good to me. Kept me informed at all stages about when they'd be doing the work (which is complicated given the effect of the weather). Will most certainly go back to them if I need other roofing work done.

Fantastic. Call them.

I would just like to say a very big thank you, to John and his mate for sorting and repairing my roof. After coming across some trying and testing problems you persevered and eventually the problems were sorted. Cannot thank you enough for you patience. Very honest and open and competitively priced. Would highly recommend John and his company without hesitation.

John provided a prompt and professional service. He kept us updated at every stage of the job, ensuring all areas were clean before he left. Would highly recommend.

Really professional job. Turned up when he said, work was of a high quality, cleaned up and was respectful of our drive and garden. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

Positive friendly and reliable service. Would recommend and use again if needed.

John & his assistant replaced ridge tiles that had come off my roof during high winds last week. John was sympathetic to my concern that one of the tiles hadn't made it off the roof & was sitting precariously on the edge. He came to the house the next day, removed the tile, gave me a quote I accepted and returned the following day to do the job. They cleared up all the debris and left the area clean and tidy. I also had them clean out the gutter. They also replaced some roof tiles which had been damaged by the ridge tiles falling. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nottingham Roofing and Building and using them again should need be.

John and his mate were fab. Arrived on time for quote and work and phoned to keep me updated. Work done very efficiently. Would not hesitate to recommend 😊

John was recommended by a family member and we couldn't fault him. After a leak in our roof John sorted it really quickly. Very honest, friendly and reliable would always recommend. In fact have already 👍

Came out urgently as my slate was hanging off, and got it sorted well and quickly, noticed my gutter was blocked up all the way and explained it well, quoted and was done within a couple of days

John came round to give me a quote for some new gutters and to repoint a couple of chimneys. After giving us a quote he was able to do the work within 4 days which was great. The work carried out on the gutters was top quality. When he had to repoint the chimneys John made me aware one was worse than we originally thought, he was still able to come a couple days later to complete it and both chimneys look brand new afterwards. He even repointed bits of the bay window and filled some holes free of charge and left the site clean after finishing his work. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastic service from these guys - we phoned them yesterday morning because the guttering on the house we’ve just bought and moved in to was in dire need of repair, and we have a small damp patch upstairs coming from somewhere on the roof. They came around the same day that we phoned them to have a look, then came back today to do the job for us! Quoted us for the guttering, then found and replaced a cracked roof tile and also took down our hideous old tv aerial from the chimney for free while they were up there! So pleased with the price we paid for the guttering and they were lovely to do those extra bits for us, really helpful and will definitely be using them again for anything we need in the future.

Would highly recommend Nottingham Building & Roofing Ltd. Professional and knowledgeable – John communicated clear and honest advice for my ridge tile replacement and managed to do a couple of other jobs that needed doing on the same day, saving me time and money in the long run. Very pleased with the work from John and his team, the roof looks great!

Polite, cheerful and thorough. Repaired extension roof ridge tiles. Clean and ship shape.

Good communication, friendly service, punctual. Customer service was also positive and included a check in call after heavy rain to make sure the guttering repair was effective.

Repointing of front of the house and chimney stack. John and Aiden arrived punctually and set to work immediately. Both men were very friendly, obliging and respectful. They completed the work to a very high standard and cleared up after themselves. They hosed and brushed down all the driveway so it looked like no builders had been on the property. We have had a high quality job and I would not hesitate to recommend this company. I would certainly use them again. Mrs D Sisson

Would have no hesitation in recommending John and his team. Extremely responsive, knowledgeable and prompt. From me contacting them to them coming out to fix, it was very quick, even with the bad weather. Would certainly use again and service was well above other local roofing companies I've contacted and used recently

An absolute pleasure to deal with ...very professional with great enthusiasm and communication and a job well done would definitely use John's services again.

We are very pleased with our dry verge. Having been recommended to us we found John to be very professional and nothing was to much trouble.

I’m very pleased with the dry verging which has been installed. John kept me informed at various stages and made certain i was completely happy before he left. Quick, tidy and no hassles. Just how I like it.

I've had various jobs done by Nottingham Building and Roofing, slate and tile replacement, pointing etc, and would definitely recommend them to anyone needing similar work done. They are local to me and I would far rather support a local independent trader than a national concern.

The guys were fantastic start to finish. From the quotation phase to doing the work they called when they said, arrived when they said and performed the work quickly and professionally to a very high standard. I’d highly recommend and will use again should I need anymore work doing in the future.

Try them, you won't be disapointed !! John & his team were very professional and friendly, the job was performed efficiently & to a high standard. The garden was left immaculately clean and tidy and I'm more than happy to recommend John & his team. I'll be keeping his number for any future building needs.

Thanks to John and the team for all their hard work. Very happy with the quality of the rendering, painting and ridge tile repairs. Would definitely use again. Highly recommended.

John and team were professional and courteous. They did an excellent job, and made sure I was happy with the finished result.

John was very professional and friendly, and offered sound advice as to what work was required. The work was performed to a high standard and the site was left clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend.

John did an excellent job for a very reasonable price, highly recommend!

Very Happy with the work. Great communicator. Need the work done urgently due to water leaking. On time. Highly recommended. Thank you

John has carried out a few repairs for us over the last 18 months and to date we have been very happy with his quality of workmanship and by his professionalism. He will respond promptly to any enquiry made and will endeavour to carry out the work in a timely manner. If there are any issues arising from the work carried out, he will make good with no quibble.

John responded quickly to a request to look at tiling replacement and potential roof leak. He promised to return the following week - which he did - and after an inspection returned later that day to complete the the work. Broken and missing tiles were replaced and flashing attended to. Roof looking much better and leak should be resolved.

Really lovely guy. We needed a leak repairing on our roof he got back to me same day and was round the next day to have a look. We live on a tight street in a terraced house and he was really accommodating when it came to coming as soon as we could clear outside our house! Would definitely recommend and will be using again for other bits that might need doing!

They are very courteous, friendly and professional. They came on time to check my flat roof, said it was ok so didn't push for business. I would certainly recommend them and I will have them re-roof when it's needs doing.

Very professional and quick service. I had an issue with my roof when out of town. They inspected the roof for me and fixed it within a day of me calling them. Sent me photos afterwards to show me the result. The service was very professional, quick and reasonably costed. Very pleased and would recommend.

Brilliant service, very pleased with the result. Friendly guy, tidied up afterwards. Would highly recommend!

Phoned on Sunday morning after storm Dennis arrived came out on the Monday morning to do the job. John was lovely and did a brilliant job. Going to use him again to do the whole later in the year. Top man.

This guy is amazing he came out at short notice to fix my ridge tiles that had come off and smashed my neighnours conservatory. Very honest and genuinely nice guy. Thanks again. 10/10

Excellent Service !

Needed a quick response for a rotten soffit that had fallen off all over my neighbours path. Called John on Wednesday , he promised to come and assess it first thing Thursday He duly arrived at 8am and identified the cause as a broken tile behind the chimney. We arranged to replace the rotten fascia and soffit, and agreed a price which to my relief was far less than expected. At 8am Friday they arrived and worked quickly and efficiently, so much so that by 10am I asked them to replace the opposite side facials too! John and his colleague did all the agreed work and also replaced gutters and downpipes. The offending roof tiles were replaced free of charge, and they were also colour matched perfectly! I cannot praise them enough, and I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone. It can be really stressful having any kind of tradesmen at your home, especially if it means imposing on your neighbours property. John was courteous, friendly and professional both to us and our neighbours. All the inevitable mess and rubbish was removed and pathways washed clean. By 3.30pm everything was finished to my exacting standards. In conclusion, if you need any work done on your roof, then make John the first person you call.

I called these guys in to do some brickwork repair and refacing. Very quick response, great communication and the work looks spot on. The job turned out to be a bit more complicated than initially estimated, but was finished at the original quote price. I will definitely be using their services in the future.

John and his colleague were very punctural and kept us updated of progress with 3rd party scafolder required to repair/replace guttering. Repoint and reflaunch brickwork. Refit loose slates and remove rubbish. Highly recomend nottingham building & roofing ltd and will use again for any future work required.

Very happy with their job. Quick reply and satisfied customer.

Very fast, friendly and efficient service. New guttering installed. I would recommend John's work and will definitely use this company in future.

Really great guy and good response. Had a work done on a leaking chimney and they got to work rapidly and on time before it rained (also so its proof that when it rains its fixed) honest and upfront and show you what's been done. Highly recommend

I had John out to sort out my roof which had roof tiles missing and was leaking, he did a brilliant & professional job. Very reliable. ...Highly recommended.

Fantastic company, really went out of there way to help me out with a very urgent roof repair. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

Spotted John doing some work on the neighbours roof and asked him to take down an old Ariel, which I then asked him to quote on the work needed on the roof as I had been told I needed a new one at a cost of £5k +. He inspected the roof and told me I only needed the ridge tiles and half tile plus a couple of old ones replacing. Brilliant quote given so work was carried out a few weeks later. Just had him do some pointing up and again excellent service and price. Thank you so much peace of mind, excellent price and brilliant service always with a smile and some banter.

Came within 15 minutes of phone call and fixed my gutter. Whole job took less than 30 minutes. Very pleasant and experirenced

If you could leave zero stars would, awful company sub standard work ended up paying far too much for the work they did. Only then to actually have to pay another roofer to come and fix the job. The owner of the business was nothing but rude and didn't careless the position that he left us in. Whatever you do steer clear of these cowboys!!!!!

Friendly, fast service.
