McArthur Roofing Services LTD, Hampshire

Excellent work carried out on my garage roof.

We were suffering from water ingress above an upstairs window. On recommendation, we asked Jake to quote for the job. His investigation into, and diagnosis of the problem was swift, accurate and reinforced by photos and clear explanations. We accepted the quote arranged a convenient day but sadly the rain intervened and we had a spell of unsettled weather. I mention this because it totally messed with Jake’s original schedule, but he was exceptionally professional keeping us informed every day of his intentions. Him and his team worked over a weekend to complete the job and avoid further delay for which we were grateful. The job is completed, looks great, and Jake has provided photographic evidence of the (great) work they have done. His attitude was immensely professional throughout, and his energy and determination to do the best job possible was evident throughout. Really pleased we used Jake, and would definitely recommend.

What an excellent service. Jake and the team arrived as expected and worked tirelessly through the scorching heat to lay 40m2 of single ply roofing including upstanding for roof light. The work area was always tidy and kept me up to date on what was happening. The use of a drone at the end to show me the work was a fantastic idea.

Reattached some roof tiles on our house, very much appreciated. Very professional and informative. Will call again in the future.

Jake McArthur knows what he is talking about and does what he says he will do. He gave me a different diagnosis than a couple of other experienced roofers had, for the problem with my roof, but he was more convincing than either of the others and, as it turns out, he was 100% correct. Not only that, he came exactly when he promised to come and did a very good job. He is extremely proficient and his associates are well trained. Unlike certain others in the same trade, he doesn't do what isn't necessary. He's also careful, tidy and attends to details. Whenever I next need roofing services, I will call him.

Excellent experience with McArthur Roofing Services Ltd. They replaced our extension roof and fitted two new skylights, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The team were friendly, professional, hardworking and clearly knew exactly what they were doing. They worked quickly, kept everything tidy, and the whole process was smooth from start to finish. What stood out most was their honesty and transparency — clear pricing, good communication, and no hidden extras. The finished result is superb. Would happily recommend them to anyone needing roofing work done.

We are very pleased with the work recently carried out on our roof which was completed professionally and to a high standard. We were kept up-to-date by email with timescales and planning and it all ran to schedule. Everything was left clean and tidy after the work was completed. Thanks to Jake and his team for a great job.

Jake and the team did a first class job on my roof. I would recommend them, they were on time, very polite. I have booked them for a further job.

Absouletly amazing job by Jake and Tyler. Jake came out promptly and provided a quote. When they came to do the work Jake explained what would be happening and started work straight away. They both tidied up and left it looking as clean as before they started the work. I would highly recommend Jake and his team if you have any roofing work to be done. I'm so pleased with the way the new roof looks and I can fault the service. Thank you again Jake 😀

Jake and the team promptly removed existing dilapidated felt roof and installed a replacement. The job has been finished to an exceptional standard. Jake was knowledgeable, explaining key parts of the job. Overall a fantastic service.

Jake and Tyler are 2 of the most lovely, genuine, honest guys ever. I Cannot thank them enough for going out of there way to help me this evening when they spotted me attempting to change a wheel on my transporter. Female alone. In the dark. In rush hour traffic on the side of a dual carriage way lay-by with no street lights When no-one else stopped, these guys did. They actually drove round the roundabout to come back and help Made it home safe thanks to them. They wouldn’t even take anything for their trouble. Absolutely 100% recommend! Thank you again!

I used McArthur Roofing services for replacing the guttering around my whole house. Jake and the team have been fantastic from start to finish. They have done a brilliant job at a very reasonable cost. They looked after my property, took away all the old guttering and gave it a good tidy after finishing. I can’t thank them enough for the service I have received!

Have used McArthur Roofing Services before, so when I started getting damp around a dormer window, Jake was my first call. He quickly visited the property, identified the problem, and provided a detailed quote. Jake and Tyler were professional, arriving on time and carrying out the work to a high standard, leaving the site tidy afterwards. Would use McArthur Roofing Services again.

Jake and his team have been professional throughout my experience with them. From quote through to completion, Jake has been an excellent communicator, kept me informed every step of the way and been extremely accommodating with my other trades to get my job complete. His quote was very competitive, he helped me chose a gorgeous, very reasonably priced tile to compliment my 1924 building. It looks amazing, fabulous job and will easily outlive me! Jake and his team had excellent time keeping, were polite, friendly and a pleasure to always deal with. Also, very accommodating of my extremely friendly border collie ! I would highly recommend this company and will be using them again myself.

We are very happy with Jake's company, they have done a brilliant job replacing old gutters. We are currently discussing further outstanding jobs.

Great service. Responsive to emails, happy to help with the little jobs as well as the large ones. Jake and Tyler were quick, efficient, and very reasonably priced. Glad to have found a roofing company I can trust and will be using the team for all my future needs. Highly reccommended.

I contacted McArthur Roofing Services to install a new gutter Downpipe. Jake responded very quickly, sorted out what was required. Tyler did the work in a couple of hours and we are pleased with the result. I would recommend McArthur Roofing Services

Great service. Quick to quote, reasonable costs, polite, punctual and tidy. They fixed a roof leak and refelted the garage, where other companies had let me down. So glad I got recommended them. Will use them again when needed.

I recently used McArthur Roofing Services to repair a leaking flat roof. Jake and his team were efficient, friendly and reasonably priced. Excellent service overall, would highly recommend them.

After you have made the decision to have your roof repaired or replaced you must weigh up the cost involved and then research who you can call upon to complete the task. The last point is crucial, as reputation and trust are not easy to determine and this was a major concern for us. We were fortunate in our research to come across ‘McArthur Roofing Services’ via ‘TrustATrader’. After making some initial checks we invited Jake McArthur to our property to make an initial assessment and provide some advice. Following the visit we were advised about the state of our roof and provided with several options. There was no hard sell or pressure to commit, we were left to consider the facts and determine how we might proceed. We found Jake to be friendly, knowledgeable and very agile as he went up on the roof. We asked for quotes covering several options, ranging in scale from some fundamental but essential repairs to a complete new roof. We checked the quotes provided against market rates, and ratified a number of details to ensure that they formed part of the quotes. For instance were new gutters, down pipes, facia boards and flashing included. We also checked that the company was insured. Communication: From the moment we engaged ‘McArthur Roofing Services’ the communication was timely and excellent. We had various updates on what to expect and when, and if there were any delays or issues Jake was always ahead of the curve. The main areas of note once the work started were the ongoing progress and the weather forecast for the next few days ahead. Cost: We anticipated a ballpark figure based on the size and complexity of the task, and the quote provided for a new roof was in the middle of our estimate. The quoted cost for some initial repairs was a surprise and this prompted our decision to go for a new roof. The overall cost also reflected the quality of the building materials and the tiles chosen for the new roof. Professionalism: We could not fault Jake McArthur or the small team of people that he brought in to help with the job. They were all polite and friendly, and it was quickly obvious that they took pride in their work. The team would occasionally work longer days to ensure that the integrity of the roof was maintained, if bad weather was forecast. The team also cleaned up around the property at the end of every day. Timescale: We were informed that the task would take 2 weeks to complete and we were given an initial start date. However, bad weather caused a slight delay and a few additional lost days, but this was anticipated and preferable to any damage from the elements as Jake always ensured that the property was sufficiently watertight. The actual task did take 14 working days to complete. Quality: From start to finish the task was undertaken using good quality materials and an eye for detail. Jake would personally undertake many complex or difficult tasks that required more specific expertise, and he would often redo a task to his personal satisfaction. Conclusion: We would have no hesitation recommending ‘McArthur Roofing Services’. We are extremely pleased with our new roof and the overall quality and professionalism involved. We recognise that the layout of our roof was slightly more complex than some roof designs and we were comfortable relying on the expertise and guidance provided throughout. As a further point of interest it is also worthwhile clearing the loft space of any stored items as the loft will get quite dirty inside when the old roof is stripped away. Similarly, close any doors and windows when the work is being done due to a degree of dust and debris and cover any drains. It is also worthwhile advising any immediate neighbours about the potential for any dust or debris that might fall from your property and be aware that the task is quite noisy for several days. We would also recommend having the gutters and down pipes replaced if they need it, if not at least block the down pipes during the working day.

This review of MacArthur roofing company is a little late due to unforeseen family circumstances. However, if I could give more than five stars I would. Jake and his team came to my property in Overton in May, and the quality of their work was outstanding. The whole process from start to finish with seamless, and Jake’s communication throughout the whole process was absolutely superb. I would highly recommend this company and would absolutely use them if the future if needed 10/10!!

The guys were brilliant. Really flexible, turned up when they said they would, and did a great job. Very nice guys too

A huge thank you to McArthur Roofing services - They assisted with repairs to my roof on very short notice. All works were complete to a very high standard, we highly recommend. Thank you to the McArthur Team!

Very satisfied with their service. We had trouble finding an honest and reliable roofer for a while, and so are really glad we found McArthur Roofing - Extremely polite and professional, and have done an excellent job. Went the extra mile to source us the required tiles we needed and came out to repair our roof in good time. Highly recommended company. 👍🏻

We used McArthur Roofing services to replace the roof on a large (16ft x 8ft) shed. They also replaced some roof tiles and removed an old fence panel. We received a very competitive quote extremely promptly after Jake had ben able to visit the site only one day after the initial enquiry. Jake and his team arrived on the planned day and carried out the work to a very high standard. The whole team were very pleasant and easy to work with and at the end of the work the site was left extremely clean and tidy. I must make a special mention the quality of Jake's communication. My email questions on details of the planned work were usually answered within hours. Overall an excellent experience. I enjoyed working with the company, would recommend them and would definitely use them again.

Simply fantastic. Jake and his team were excellent, prompt, polite and nothing too much trouble with a quality finish replacing our rear guttering which with our conservatory was a tricky install. Any mess was cleaned up leaving it spotless. 100% would recommend.

I first called Jake to deal with a leak in my roof which was creating a damp patch on my wall. Jake was able to diagnose the cause and fix the ridge tiles. |The second time was to adjust some roof tiles. On both occasions Jake did a professional job at a very reasonable price. I would definitely recommend McArthur Roofing Services.

Jake and his team at McArthur Roofing Services were absolutely fantastic. They completed work on time and budget at my property last week. They did a superb job, worked incredibly hard, and were lovely. I'm very happy to recommend them.

Quick response, good work, fair price 👍

Jake and his team were fantastic - delivering the work to a high standard that we're very pleased with. Jake came out in advance to quote and then revisited to measure up the replacement skylights (that I ordered) which was a great help to ensure I got the right items. Work was performed quickly and I was pleased that Jake took the decision to return on a second day to finish the job rather than rush it through it one day where quality might have been compromised. Satisfied customer and have already discussed another job with him.

Mcarthur Roofing delivered exceptional service from start to finish. Their workmanship was impeccable, and they completed the job with professionalism and efficiency. I highly recommend them.

Jake was quick and efficient from the offset. Very high standard of work and customer interaction / service. I will definitely be utilising McArthur Roofing Services for future work.

Jake and the team were great. He was super responsive, clear and upfront on costs, and managed to fit me in the next day, which was incredibly helpful particularly with the heavy rain. They were thorough, detailed and left everything clean and tidy. Would definitely use again.

Jake and his colleague were quick, efficient and polite in replacing leaking gutter joints and cleaning out all gutters around the house. One problem was noted when it next rained after the work was completed but Jake reattended and addressed this without any issue. Highly recommended and would definitely use McArthur Roofing again.

McArthur Roofing Services were brilliant, sorted out my porch roof for a very very good price, far cheaper than any others. Responded to my call and came to quote next day, we had a good discussion on all my options on what to do with the roof. They arrived a week later on time and worked very hard. All worked completed to a high standard, Jake and his mate who turned up were genuinely lovely blokes, friendly, courteous and professional, what more can you ask. Would use again and highly recommend anyone wanting work done to give them a call. I would say they go the extra mile and aren’t out to make a quick buck.
