Jake and his team were very professional from the start of the job to the finish. They kept me informed on how the work was progressing and even finished a little earlier than anticipated! Jake also went the extra mile by helping out with a small side issue on my back wall. After noticing a small bit of old, damaged felt hadn't been fully removed, I let Jake know and he's already arranged to come straight back and sort it out. I will definitely use McArthur Roofing again—in fact, they are also coming back to repoint and fix my chimney.
We had hip tiles replaced and lead flashing corrected. Jake communicated with us well throughout, the work itself was then good quality from him and his team - and you can see they take pride in doing things properly. I'd recommend.
Very happy with the professional job that Jake and his team have done for us. We were always kept up to date with the status of the project and any issues that arose and they were all dealt with without any fuss. We were suffering from water ingress above an upstairs window. On recommendation, we asked Jake to quote for the job. His investigation into, and diagnosis of the problem was swift, accurate and reinforced by photos and clear explanations. We accepted the quote arranged a convenient day but sadly the rain intervened and we had a spell of unsettled weather. I mention this because it totally messed with Jake’s original schedule, but he was exceptionally professional keeping us informed every day of his intentions. Him and his team worked over a weekend to complete the job and avoid further delay for which we were grateful. The job is completed, looks great, and Jake has provided photographic evidence of the (great) work they have done. His attitude was immensely professional throughout, and his energy and determination to do the best job possible was evident throughout. Really pleased we used Jake, and would definitely recommend.
What an excellent service. Jake and the team arrived as expected and worked tirelessly through the scorching heat to lay 40m2 of single ply roofing including upstanding for roof light. The work area was always tidy and kept me up to date on what was happening. The use of a drone at the end to show me the work was a fantastic idea.
Reattached some roof tiles on our house, very much appreciated. Very professional and informative. Will call again in the future.
Jake McArthur knows what he is talking about and does what he says he will do. He gave me a different diagnosis than a couple of other experienced roofers had, for the problem with my roof, but he was more convincing than either of the others and, as it turns out, he was 100% correct. Not only that, he came exactly when he promised to come and did a very good job. He is extremely proficient and his associates are well trained. Unlike certain others in the same trade, he doesn't do what isn't necessary. He's also careful, tidy and attends to details. Whenever I next need roofing services, I will call him.
Excellent experience with McArthur Roofing Services Ltd. They replaced our extension roof and fitted two new skylights, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Jake and Tyler are 2 of the most lovely, genuine, honest guys ever. I Cannot thank them enough for going out of there way to help me this evening when they spotted me attempting to change a wheel on my transporter. Female alone. In the dark. In rush hour traffic on the side of a dual carriage way lay-by with no street lights When no-one else stopped, these guys did. They actually drove round the roundabout to come back and help Made it home safe thanks to them. They wouldn’t even take anything for their trouble. Absolutely 100% recommend! Thank you again!
I used McArthur Roofing services for replacing the guttering around my whole house. Jake and the team have been fantastic from start to finish. Jake and his team have been professional throughout my experience with them. From quote through to completion, Jake has been an excellent communicator, kept me informed every step of the way and been extremely accommodating with my other trades to get my job complete. His quote was very competitive, he helped me chose a gorgeous, very reasonably priced tile to compliment my 1924 building. It looks amazing, fabulous job and will easily outlive me! Jake and his team had excellent time keeping, were polite, friendly and a pleasure to always deal with. Also, very accommodating of my extremely friendly border collie ! I recently used McArthur Roofing Services to repair a leaking flat roof. Jake and his team were efficient, friendly and reasonably priced. Excellent service overall, would highly recommend them.
After you have made the decision to have your roof repaired or replaced you must weigh up the cost involved and then research who you can call upon to complete the task. The last point is crucial, as reputation and trust are not easy to determine and this was a major concern for us. We were fortunate in our research to come across ‘McArthur Roofing Services’ via ‘TrustATrader’. After making some initial checks we invited Jake McArthur to our property to make an initial assessment and provide some advice. Following the visit we were advised about the state of our roof and provided with several options. There was no hard sell or pressure to commit, we were left to consider the facts and determine how we might proceed. We found Jake to be friendly, knowledgeable and very agile as he went up on the roof. We asked for quotes covering several options, ranging in scale from some fundamental but essential repairs to a complete new roof. We checked the quotes provided against market rates, and ratified a number of details to ensure that they formed part of the quotes. For instance were new gutters, down pipes, facia boards and flashing included. We also checked that the company was insured. Communication: From the moment we engaged ‘McArthur Roofing Services’ the communication was timely and excellent. We had various updates on what to expect and when, and if there were any delays or issues Jake was always ahead of the curve. The main areas of note once the work started were the ongoing progress and the weather forecast for the next few days ahead. Cost: We anticipated a ballpark figure based on the size and complexity of the task, and the quote provided for a new roof was in the middle of our estimate. The quoted cost for some initial repairs was a surprise and this prompted our decision to go for a new roof. The overall cost also reflected the quality of the building materials and the tiles chosen for the new roof. Professionalism: We could not fault Jake McArthur or the small team of people that he brought in to help with the job. They were all polite and friendly, and it was quickly obvious that they took pride in their work. The team would occasionally work longer days to ensure that the integrity of the roof was maintained, if bad weather was forecast. The team also cleaned up around the property at the end of every day. Timescale: We were informed that the task would take 2 weeks to complete and we were given an initial start date. However, bad weather caused a slight delay and a few additional lost days, but this was anticipated and preferable to any damage from the elements as Jake always ensured that the property was sufficiently watertight. The actual task did take 14 working days to complete. Quality: From start to finish the task was undertaken using good quality materials and an eye for detail. Jake would personally undertake many complex or difficult tasks that required more specific expertise, and he would often redo a task to his personal satisfaction. Conclusion: We would have no hesitation recommending ‘McArthur Roofing Services’. We are extremely pleased with our new roof and the overall quality and professionalism involved. We recognise that the layout of our roof was slightly more complex than some roof designs and we were comfortable relying on the expertise and guidance provided throughout. As a further point of interest it is also worthwhile clearing the loft space of any stored items as the loft will get quite dirty inside when the old roof is stripped away. Similarly, close any doors and windows when the work is being done due to a degree of dust and debris and cover any drains. It is also worthwhile advising any immediate neighbours about the potential for any dust or debris that might fall from your property and be aware that the task is quite noisy for several days. We would also recommend having the gutters and down pipes replaced if they need it, if not at least block the down pipes during the working day.
This review of MacArthur roofing company is a little late due to unforeseen family circumstances. However, if I could give more than five stars I would. Jake and his team came to my property in Overton in May, and the quality of their work was outstanding. The whole process from start to finish with seamless, and Jake’s communication throughout the whole process was absolutely superb. I would highly recommend this company and would absolutely use them if the future if needed 10/10!!

We used McArthur Roofing services to replace the roof on a large (16ft x 8ft) shed. They also replaced some roof tiles and removed an old fence panel. We received a very competitive quote extremely promptly after Jake had ben able to visit the site only one day after the initial enquiry. Jake and his team arrived on the planned day and carried out the work to a very high standard. The whole team were very pleasant and easy to work with and at the end of the work the site was left extremely clean and tidy. I must make a special mention the quality of Jake's communication. My email questions on details of the planned work were usually answered within hours. Overall an excellent experience. I enjoyed working with the company, would recommend them and would definitely use them again.
Simply fantastic. Jake and his team were excellent, prompt, polite and nothing too much trouble with a quality finish replacing our rear guttering which with our conservatory was a tricky install. Any mess was cleaned up leaving it spotless. 100% would recommend.

Jake and his team were fantastic - delivering the work to a high standard that we're very pleased with. Jake came out in advance to quote and then revisited to measure up the replacement skylights (that I ordered) which was a great help to ensure I got the right items. Work was performed quickly and I was pleased that Jake took the decision to return on a second day to finish the job rather than rush it through it one day where quality might have been compromised. Jake and his colleague were quick, efficient and polite in replacing leaking gutter joints and cleaning out all gutters around the house. McArthur Roofing Services were brilliant, sorted out my porch roof for a very very good price, far cheaper than any others. Responded to my call and came to quote next day, we had a good discussion on all my options on what to do with the roof. They arrived a week later on time and worked very hard. All worked completed to a high standard, Jake and his mate who turned up were genuinely lovely blokes, friendly, courteous and professional, what more can you ask.
