The sales team listened to my requirements and worked with me. Installation has been good, working well. The after sales team were also great. I've recently added another battery to my system and had the same experience. I'll be back for my AC charger soon.

I dealt with Harry Evangeli and Sinead Edwards through the initial process. They were knowledgeable, very friendly and i felt comfortable throughout the buying stage. I had no knowledge coming into this and they together were extremely helpful and I'm glad I put my faith in them. Installation was smooth and the engineers were great. Clean, tidy and quality job. Throughout the process Skylar Solar have been great and although yes they were more expensive than alternative quotes, you get what you pay for and now I look forward to my system operating optimally with no worry about system compromise in line with the guarantees I received with my package. From initial contact through to installation of our Sigenergy system very professional and friendly no matter who at Skylar I was dealing with. Installation team (Dan & Lewis) have provided a professional, efficient and neat installation. On arrival the installation process and order activities were explained and verified positioning of equipment and routing of cables was to my satisfaction even down to the routing of cabling between the Gateway and Battery stack into the roof space to avoid having surface trunking on the wall (the original plan). We ended up with a neat working installation with minimum disruption to activities in a single working day (they even asked us if it was possible for them to work a little later in the day to complete the work in preference to having to return the following morning. We are extremely pleased with our system which has been working flawlessly and efficiently (importing little energy from the grid and exporting excess generation virtually every day) thus reducing our energy bill to nearly zero (except for the standing charge). Thank you to all the team at Skylar and I would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone considering a solar and battery storage system installation. Once again thank you for the excellent service that you provided to us.

Just had solar panels and battery installed by skylar solar. From the start of the process to the end the service has been excellent. The installation team were prompt and worked solidly all day to ensure the install was completed. They were polite, helpful and cleaned up after themselves and showed me how to use the app to control the new system.

Good experience with Skylar all the way through our solar journey. All the people I have dealt with have been great. I originally spoke with Harry at Skylar Solar who was very helpful and informative of the options available with pricing. Once I made an order with Skylar I dealt with Payton who organised the installation and paperwork, Payton was very helpful and accomodating and ensured everything was completed. On installation there was an issue with the electrician being sick which is unavoidable, the delievery of the equiment occured and the roofer still completed as much as possible to a very high standard. Another electrician was scheduled for the week after, he completed the installation after two days which is very neat and works perfectly. I would and have recommended Skylar to anyone looking for solar.

I feel I need to share my recent experience with Skylar Solar, because frankly I found their approach really disappointing. I recently received a quote from Skylar for a Sigenergy installation. Rather than simply explaining why they believed their own proposal was the better option, a significant part of the conversation involved them attempting to discredit another Sigenergy Platinum Partner I was also considering. They referred to Companies House records and made suggestions that this other installer had a history of folding businesses, along with insinuations about the quality of their installations and whether customers would actually get what they paid for. I have to say, I found this incredibly unprofessional. If you believe your company offers a better installation, better equipment, better warranties, better support or better value, then explain that to the customer. Let the quality of your own offering do the talking. What makes the whole thing even more difficult to understand is that Skylar’s quote was several thousand pounds more expensive. So, from my perspective, I was being asked to pay considerably more while also listening to another established Sigenergy Platinum Partner being attacked and having their credibility questioned. That isn’t the kind of sales approach that fills me with confidence. I’m not saying Skylar shouldn’t raise legitimate concerns about another installer if they genuinely have evidence to support them. But there’s a big difference between raising legitimate, verifiable concerns and making insinuations about another company’s history and the quality of their work in an attempt to win a customer. For anyone in this group currently looking at Sigenergy installations, I’d strongly recommend getting several quotes and doing your own due diligence. Look at the system design, equipment, warranties, workmanship, after-sales support, company history, reviews and, of course, the price. For me, professionalism matters just as much as the numbers on the quote. And personally, trying to win my business by slagging off another Sigenergy Platinum Partner, while being several thousand pounds more expensive, was a massive red flag. That’s my experience, and I thought it was worth sharing so others can make their own informed decision.

What an amazing company and service. They took my faulty battery and get it repaired and delivered to my door all for free What a great service even after 6 years of installation of my solar panels,batteries and car charger . Highly recommend.

Having spent hours trying to work out which solar package to go for, I found ‘Gary does Solar’ on YouTube. He helped me decide which system and particularly which storage battery to go for. He also recommended installers he would use. The one I used was Syklar Solar because they also had great reviews and were the only platinum Sigenergy installers. Unfortunately they were so popular that I had to wait a few months to get an installation. The date was set and the installation team arrived on the agreed date at 9.00 and worked all day and didn’t leave until late evening until everything was perfectly installed in a very neat and tidy way. Rob, James and Ant were a brilliant team. They even fitted new tiles I had, where old ones were cracked, which they could have ignored, as the cracked ones were being covered up by the panels. Great service and highly recommended. I’m delighted with my system and have used virtually no electricity from my supplier, even though it’s been cloudy and wet. I’m now waiting to get on the right tariff with Octopus so I can get paid for my surplus electricity!

I have recently had solar & battery installed and everyone at Skylar Solar through the whole process has been excellent. They listened to exactly what I wanted and planned and installed the best solution to keep the visibility of the panels to a minimum, which kept my neighbours happy. But still managed to get 14 panels on my roof and the fact that it was a slate roof did not phase them.

The team from Skysolar were extremely proffessional, thorough and tidy. I have an older, non standard construction property which provided some additional challenges but nothing this team could not handle. Communication was effective and the team rwere extremely courteous while on site. I would definately recommend SkySolar to anyone considering a Solar installation.

We started the journey with Harry who designed the insulation, he was excellent and made sure both myself and my wife was informed of how it all works and how it looked on the roof, whilst waiting for the DNO to agree and issue the required certificate, another panel became available which looks better, gives a greater solar return and cost less, Harry contacted me and discussed the new product which I agreed to. Harry was first class. Tia in the office kept in touch re the DNO certificate and install dates again this was first class. When the survey was done this was nice and easy with no dramas. Scaffolding went up as expected, it did take a little time to come down but if that was a grip then life must be good.installation came and the roofer was excellent, clean tidy and grafted, he kept me informed all the way what he was doing and why, again first class. The sparks came and kept me informed what they were doing and how they wanted to run the wires, this was neat tidy and kept to a bare minimum that can be seen. Again first class service. I would recommend this company for a full solar and battery install. The sigenstore product is fantastic and I am pleased I went down this route.

Skylar were recommended to me by Gary Does Solar. In todays construction industry it is rare to get such dedicated and enthusiastic team that provide work of the highest Standard. the planning and design stage was handled by Georgie. A more enthusiastic and happy man you will struggle to find. The 3 teams that installed the equipment were electricians, roofer and scaffolders. All were considerate and contentious. Producing an extremely high standard. In just over a day my solar and batteries were working perfectly. And finally a shout out to Payton who handles questions, takes the payment and issues the relevant documentation. a five star company which I highly recommend.

I contacted Skylar Solar after recommendations from "Gary does Solar". I was very impressed with the service I received from Harry, obviously knew his stuff and we discussed several options. They are not the cheapest but when you're dealing with your house I'd rather get what I pay for, which was high quality in this case! They handled the G99 application, keeping me informed along the way. The install was delayed a bit due to the DNO, but again they kept me informed and rebooked dates that were convenient to me. Install was great, it was so hot on the 2 days, but the lads did a great job installing 23 panels, and an 18kw sigenergy system. The install was neat and of good quality. One small issue with some bird netting that came adrift but they returned within a day and made sure it was properly secured. Overall a great experience, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

Looked long and hard for an installer. Eventually chose Skylar. The installation process is complicated but the installer sorted out the installation and more importantly the paperwork, G98, MCS etc. Just waiting for my electricity supplier to get moving on the MPAN. Which appears to take ages. Not Skylar's issue, true but frustrating as the weather has been so good. In summary Skylar did everything they said they would, on time, to budget and without drama, with the added bonus that it has all worked perfectly and we haven't paid for a single Watt of power since it was commissioned. I am extremely pleased with the service provided by Sky Solar. After receiving quotes from several other installers, I was told that only 5 solar panels could be fitted on my roof. Sky Solar took the time to properly assess the available space and came up with a much better design that allowed for the installation of 15 panels, significantly increasing the potential energy generation. The installation was completed exactly as scheduled, and the workmanship was excellent. The team was professional, efficient, and left everything neat and tidy once the work was finished. I would highly recommend Sky Solar to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and reliable solar installer.

Avoid at all cost. Rude and stuck up phone reps, had to chase multiple times to get a callback for a quote. I was told I'd be called on multiple occasions, after 2 weeks adn 3 chase calls from me, I got a callback. Wish they wouldn't have bothered and saved themselves a bad review... Once I was able to finally speak to someone they asked me what I'm after (so far so good), I outlined my requirements for a simple battery install. Gorgi then began berating me as to why I hadn't already made my mind up who I'm choosing having spoken to a few other suppliers. I mentioned I am shopping around, he would constantly interrupt me and circling back to explaining to me how they are the best in the UK and are so busy they don't have the time to waste with someone who is looking for the best price to performance, stating that their prices are higher and that's the way it is. We have still not mentioned a price at all. At this point I asked straight up, so are you refusing to quote me? To which he hesitated and said, well no point me wasting my time if you're not going to pay a premium. I explained, I am keen to see how they compare to the likes of Spirit Energy and better yet Heatable (who by the way are much friendlier and have won the contract due to perfect customer interaction and price to performance). He then said "oh well we are better and are competitive, so I can quote you". The inverter I specifically requested (having done my research specific to my house usage) was "not the one I would quote for" and because he'd been a salesman for 8y I should listen to what he had to say. He then continued repeating that they are the only diamond partner in the UK for Sigenergy and because they are so busy any install has a long wait time. He closed the call with I have everything, I will send the email out with your quotes now. This was 3 days ago. I called yesterday to speak to someone else and to report my poor customer experience, the receptionist said she'd report it to the directors, but to me it sounded like she also couldn't care less. I have still not gotten a quote. Instead of winning a £10-15k contract they have just asked, and received bad review. If this is what their customer experience is like, I would wouldn't trust them with £10 let alone £10,000. Stay away, look elsewhere.

After a long search we had several very positive recommendations for Skylar Solar and we engaged them for a quote. We were most impressed with the Sigenergy equipment which is probably the best rated currently on the market. The process with Skylar was very quick and efficient with all the detail we expected from them and the bottom line quote was comparable with the other quotes we received, but most of the alternatives were using older and less good equipment. We chose a system with 15 panels, Sigenergy Bat10 and 8kW inverter with the Sigenergy Home Pro Gateway. We love the way these can be upgraded. After engaging Skylar, the survey and installation went very smoothly - taking just one day for the complete install. We are extremely pleased with our solar install, and the Sigenergy equipment and IoS App perform brilliantly. We would heartily recommend Skylar Solar to perform an install for anyone using Sigenergy equipment.

I had my system installed two and a half years ago. I didn't want to leave a review immediately and then time slipped by. I did have one or two teething problems, nothing major and Skylar solar were great, travelling many miles. More recently the Livoltek system I had asked for needed a replacement Inverter, I was so pleased when I heard the voices of the same staff from over two years ago answering the phone and assuring me it would get sorted out. With so many companies only around for the short term, I am so glad Sklar Solar are in for the long game. Especial thanks to Payton & Rob, and Daniel at Livoltek Service UK.

I recently had Skylar Solar install panels on the roof, along with batteries, a gateway, and a DC charger in my garage about 10m away from the house, and I couldn’t be happier with the service. The team were professional from start to finish, working neatly and efficiently while taking the time to accommodate all of my requests. I would advise caution to anyone considering Skylar. Maybe growing pains but their sales team is very pushy, difficult to deal and will say anything to get your deposit, after that communication drops and once the survey is booked they’re only interested in the easiest and cheapest way to install, regardless of what was agreed at order. I chose them after doing lots of research and online recommendations so they can clearly do good work but have perhaps lost their way as demand has increased and they’ve grown. A real shame… and a very unpleasant experience. Approach with caution. The good news is there are hardworking, passionate and excellent installers out there, sadly, I’m my experience Skylar are not one of them.

Excellent service during installation in 2023 but I am very impressed with ease of contact, very helpful office staff and very friendly and expert engineers when I had a problem with the solar boost unit for the hot water..I had couple of call-outs for problem and both the times the problems were resolved promptly without any call-out charge or the cost of replacement of the unit.Brilliant service by Robert.I cannot thank you enough👍👍

There are a lot of companies to choose from, but having done a substantial amount of research, Skylar stood out for me. Their performance has been exceptional from the minute I contacted them. The survey was carried out very quickly, the quote followed with as much explanation & discussion as required. No hard sell. Order placed & an installation date agreed. Installation day came, a few issues with supply from their wholesaler but the team of 4 electricians put in the time & effort, on site from 08:00 to 19:30. They answered all my questions & listened to my ramblings explaining 20 years of planning & installing renewables at our property. The batteries are already saving me money. If you have got this far, energy is not getting any cheaper, so go with an EV, car charger, batteries, ASHP/heat battery & solar. Skylar can supply/install & maintain a lot of this kit for you. They will be the company I return to for all my renewables.

I would just like to say to anyone looking for solar panels/batteries etc get a quote from Skylar. My wife and I have just had a 7.2kwp East/West array fitted. This is paired with a gateway and two batteries (18.07kwh). From the first quote stage with George to the fitting with James, Eric, and Anthony and the site survey and completion with Rob. This possibly stressful project was highly professional not pressured and easily managed. Special mention also to Payton for all the planning and paperwork/ documentation needed. What a great team and if I need any further work I will definitely contact them. Thank you guys

I had some specific goals/wants for my installation. Firstly I didn't have the budget for a one and done install, I wanted a system that could grow. Skylar are Sigenergy installers and the modular battery/inverter stack means I can add a DC car charger and more batteries and a bigger inverter as and when my budget to put my solar up grows. My roof space is also frustrating, a town house with velux and two dormer windows, they maximised the space and put high end panels up with a sleek finish. What exceeded my expectations most was the communication, everyone from the scaffolders to the account manager all conducted themselves in a personable professional way and they all showed great care in their work.

I recently had 18 solar panels and battery installed by Skylar and I am very happy with the installation. I found the people at Skylar very easy to deal with right from the initial quote through to the site installation. The work was completed in a day and there were no problems. All the relevant paperwork was provided on completion.

I have had a solar and battery system installed by Skylar. From not knowing much but heaving many questions they have been patient and very helpful with regard to specifying a system that would meet my needs. There were a few modifications that had to be made during the process and those were efficiently dealt with too. When it came to the installation, all the engineers were very well mannered and conducted themselves professionally. The work itself is very neat and I am completely satisfied with the results. I would definitely recommend Skylar if asked.

They designed the system and answered all my questions over several telephone calls and emails. They arrived when they said and worked two long days to get the system installed and running. The electricians and fitters were polite, professional. They made sure the installation was to my satisfaction and explain what they were doing in order to make the job neat and tidy. They cleared up after themselves and left the property in the same clean condition as they found it. I received two telephone calls to make sure everything was done to my satisfaction. After payment all paperwork and certifications were emailed to me. Highly recommend getting a quote. .

Had a good discussion with their sales guy Andy about helping me in a difficult situation with my installer going bust. He and the owner then decided to ghost me for no reason. Odd behaviour at best and a waste of all of our time but a reason to think twice about them also.

It’s been a few weeks since the install and it has been a great experience from the initial contact, to the planning of the system, arranging the dates for the survey and installation, and then the installation and follow up service afterwards. Thank you to the whole team for the service provided. I would use the team again for when I’m planning additional battery storage and more panels.

I first saw Skylar on a Youtube piece being recommended by a trusted source. The recommendation did not disappoint. Being the only Platinum Sigenergy installer in the UK made me think they might be expensive. I got 3 quotes. They were cheaper for the same system. The install was very well done and the performance is brilliant. 22 panels, 2 batteries, 10kw inverter.

Great experience from sales through to install. I had so many questions. Skylar solar were always there with great advice. Sigen and aiko hardware are premium products at a top end cost and its well worth spending the money on a premium installer with long warranty coverage. Everything Skylar side is well organised right up to the end of install. They offer a well organised service with great comms and customer support. I'm a very happy customer.

Having spent a few months over the winter researching Solar + Battery systems. I was recommended Skylar by a work colleague and opted to go with them, it was a very smooth experience from start to finish. I have 18 Aiko 485kw panels, Sigenergy 8kw inverter and 10kw Battery they were installed at the beginning of march and currently I am only paying electricity for my EV charger on Intelligent Octopus Go overnight. Skylar were excellent and ready to help with any technical questions when installing and over whatsapp afterwards.

Work was completed on the expected timeline and to a good standard. They conducted a recalled inverter replacement a few months after install and forgot to turn the connection to the solar panels back on when they left. Took most of the next day for one of them to walk me through taking off the cover and turning it back on. They refused to compensate for lost production.

Did what they said they would, when they said they would, and did an excellent job of the install; it was far neater and more professional than I have come to expect, along with answering all me inane questions. The SigEnergy equipment is pretty good as far as my research led me to believe, and I've been happy with it ever since the install; having a gateway has meant the installation has already protected us from an outage in the first 3 months. You can no longer trust the clowns at the utility firms to keep you supplied in these apocalyptic times, so get some solar installed.

If you are considering installing solar panels and batteries, I can thoroughly recommend Skylar to design and deliver this for you. I found them through Gary Does Solar, a very helpful YouTube channel and website that I strongly recommend for anyone considering this kind of investment. Skylar were one of the companies recommended by Gary Does Solar, using his register of reputable solar installers, again something I would strongly recommend. Skylar have been fabulous to deal with throughout the entire process, from selection of them as a preferred provider, through the design and product recommendation stage, and on to installation, commissioning and after care. The entire team throughout the process have been friendly and helpful, including the sub-contractors like the scaffolding company who were great. The installation went very well and we were especially impressed with how neatly everything was installed, particularly cable runs to and from the solar panels, batteries and meter cupboard. These were concealed very well with minimal visibility for which we are very grateful. However, the experience wasn’t entirely without issue, as my EV charger would not work shortly after installation. After some initial confusion between Skylar and the EV Charger company, the fault was quickly diagnosed and rectified by Skylar. Although an issue, this only reinforced my confidence in Skylar and their commitment to their customers. In conclusion, we are very happy with our choice of Skylar, the products they recommended and we are very pleased with the overall installation and its subsequent system performance. One month since install and couldn’t be happier; impressed with the standard of the work, no hitches, no snags and no problems. Great working with Barry who came up with the design after a bit of back-and-forth while I found a convenient place for the battery to go. I think that it’s always healthy to approach letting someone come into your home and do work with at least a bit of caution. Twenty seconds after opening the door to Luke who came to do the survey I knew that I didn’t have anything to worry about. Really impressed at the depth of knowledge that whenever I asked a question an explanation and a reason came with the answer. Dan and Lewis came to do the install. Again, really impressed by the attention to detail, getting the bird protection absolutely flush, hiding the cable runs, neatness of the wiring and trunking etc.. No disruption to speak of during the install – I was able to work from home. I’ve already given Skylar’s number to a neighbour that is looking to re-power their system and would use again on another property in the future.

From the initial contact, design consultation, survey, customer relations with me, scaffold planning and the installation itself Skylar were fantastic. PV and batteries performing as expected thus far. Highly recommended.

I had my install on the 14th of January. 21x510w AIKO all black panel 15kW Three-Phase SIGenergy Inverter 2x9kWh SIGenergy Battery (18kWh Total) The engineers were extremely knowledgeable, working clean and diligently. The two-day work planned been finished for a day. I am very happy with the installation and would highly recommend it if you are still making up your mind.

Did my dad Bill's installation. He said they were efficient, friendly and left everything tidy. Listened to what he wanted and accommodated it as much as they could and explained why not if they couldn't, like distance from pipes etc. The battery and inverter were packed in neatly and tidily, especially impressed with neatness of the wiring. The app is incredibly user friendly

Throughout the whole process the team at Skylar listened to what I wanted, made suggestions, informed me how everything works and what would likely be suitable for my property and needs. Living in a Grade II listed property with 2 heat pumps isn't the norm but they made it feel like it was, working with me and the limitations of what they could do/where. Every single team member I've spoken to has been nothing but polite and helpful. In addition to the office contacts, I've the number of both Andy (sales) and Rob (one of the electricians who did my install) in case of any issues or if I need help figuring something out. Hopefully I never need that but knowing that level of customer service and support is there is what cements the decision I made to use Skylar as the right one. Highly recommended.

Thank you Skylar Solar We had our 19 510W panels, Sigenergy 18KWH battery and EV charger installed 4 months ago by Skylar. Even though we are 300 miles north the install and engineer folllow up were performed flawlessly. We are very impressed with the system, especially since moving to a time-of-use plan and SEG payments :-) with the Sigen AI controlling this. Thoroughly recommended.

We had our solar panels, battery and EV charger put in during November and the team really came together to get a fantastic result. They came up with a design which meets our needs exactly, our bills have now halved, and it’s still winter! Excellent communication, and no hard sell, just a conversation of the pros and cons of different approaches. The survey and installation was quick and professional. They worked with us to have the scaffolding available to let us clean the roof prior to installation and it was quick to come down too. The installation work was done to a high standard and very neat. They worked with us to solve problems as they came up, and made sure we were happy with the solution before proceeding, and no snags! 20 x 480 Aiko E, S & W. 2 x 9.0 kWh Sigenstor Battery 1 Gateway (optional for back up etc.) Installed 3 weeks ago in South Wales. Really pleased with Skylar from start to finish. Lots of sense from Sinead the designer. Full site survey with drone by Ant who later came back to install the panels. 2 experienced electrians, Luke and James did the rest and have been with Skylar for a good few years. Sigenergy kit is fantastic, as were Skylar - just look at Gary does Solar on YouTube. No payments until completion . Hand over of all paperwork from Devon/ Payton went seamlessly. Wrong birdmesh and flat roof mounting system delivered on the day, but correct items were on site within a couple of hours. I'm surprised how easy the App is to use. System covers my 18kWh daily use. Had 3 quotes - Skylar slightly cheaper. Thoroughly recommended!

I had a very good experience with Skylar Solar. Since our house is fully electric, installing a solar system was essential to help optimize our energy bills. After extensive research across forums, reviews, and data, I decided to go with Skylar Solar—and I’m glad I did. The process was clear and well-communicated from start to finish. Even when we had a couple of changes on the installation day (our floor plan had changed significantly since the initial survey), the team handled everything quickly and even absorbed some of the additional costs. I chose Skylar Solar after seeing their work on a youtube channel called "Gary Does Solar" and then when I asked them to quote from Garys directory. From the very start they were brilliant, no confusing nonsense and a very clear quotation. From the sales and logistics, the scaffold, the install and the handover, everything was incredibly smooth. The installation was so neat and tidy, the installers were knowledgable and very helpful even when I asked the daftest of questions. The SiGenergy inverter and battery system is a breeze to use, the panels look great and the loft work very tidy. As soon as the handover was complete, all of the paperwork I needed was there and within 10 mins I had used it to jump to an appropriate tarriff with my electricity supplier. If you want solar but are being confused by other suppliers I highly reccomend giving Skylar a call. Fantastic team.

We had done lots of research and obtained 4 quotes Skylar offered the best package of high quality products and support services for a very competitive price. Communications throughout have been excellent the timing of the surveyor, scaffolding and installation has been superb. All employees and associates arrived on time worked very efficiently safely and were really good guys. Bookings of events throughout were really smooth and the installation of panels and the sigenergy batteries look fantastic we couldn’t be happier. It’s always a worry spending large sums in à sector that’s still evolving but the team have done everything they said all required documentation have been sent on time. Although it’s late autumn we’ve generated KWH and seen the App show us usage. Unfortunately the sigenergy battery system is not yet compatible with octopus intelligent flux tariffs we can align to octopus flux. All in all à great experience and we would highly recommend the team at Skylar call them and you won’t be disappointed.

Honestly a fantastic experience all round. The pre and post install support has been fantastic. They are responsive, accommodating and genuinely care about doing a good job. They beat the quotes of all our local suppliers, and with their multiple years of existence and their accreditation with Sigenergy I knew I was in safe hands. The install did take longer than was originally quoted, but other than that I cannot fault them.

I couldn’t be happier with the service from Skylar Solar. From the initial enquiry through to the final installation, everything was flawless. The team delivered exactly what they promised — on time, well-organised, and with great communication throughout. Nothing was too much trouble, even when I asked for a few tweaks like a wired LAN connection instead of wireless. They even went above and beyond by replacing a couple of roof tiles that were chipped before they started work! There was a small hiccup when the wrong EV charger (tethered instead of untethered) was sent, but it was resolved within 24 hours — impressive service. Overall, a really professional, friendly company that clearly cares about doing things right. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend Skylar enough, from first contact they have been excellent. Barrie from the sales team was very helpful and patient with us while choosing the system we went for. The installation went very smooth with the team being professional and friendly. They turned up when they said and when finished left the area they were working in clean and tidy. Payton and Devon from the office have been helpful all the way through the process, even when there was a small problem with the export application, caused by national grid. as soon as we contacted Skylar they had the information to us to resolve the issue.

Really good experience from start to finish. Having started to research solar and battery for my house I came across Skylar Solar as a recommendation from Gary Does Solar as I wanted a company who I could trust not only with the design and install, but also for any on-going support I may need. Below is the process I experienced. I had a follow-up call with Sinead after completing the enquiry form on Gary’s UK Solar Installer Directory. We discussed the design and Sinead provided a number of configurations for me to consider. After a few iterations and a lot of questions from me, we agreed on a design and confirmed the survey. Ant from the Skylar Team completed the survey (physical and drone inspection). We also discussed the location for the battery storage and what would be involved from the install. Sinead came back to me with an improved design the same afternoon, which I approved and a few days later Devon from the installations team contacted me to confirm the install date, followed by Payton to confirm the installation of the scaffolding. Fast forward to the install date: Scaffolding had been erected a few days prior. The equipment was delivered first thing in the morning, which was then checked by Ant and James before starting the install. It took about 1.5 days in total, from install start to commissioning the system. Post commission, James ran me through the Sigenergy app and explained the key areas of the system for isolation etc. The next day I had a follow up call from Devon to check the install and if I had any queries / concerns. I was happy to say that I didn’t have any concerns and was very impressed with the install / attitude from both Ant and James. Following confirmation of payment, Payton provided me with the handover pack containing all the key documents (MCS Certification, G99 Approval, Warranty details and equipment datasheets). Now nearly 3 weeks after commission, we have a solar and battery system which is working as designed and are more than happy with. From our initial contact through to install and now post-commission, we have been impressed with the Skylar Solar team and even though we are based in the South West, nothing was too much trouble – thank you Skylar Solar.

Very good tidy install by James, cables routed out of sight where possible, all Skylar contacts friendly and professional, Sigenergy batteries performing great, smart looking too. App takes some setting but after a few days of attemps we got to grips with it. Existing solar panels work well with system, we were worried to keep our FIT payments. Just has the Aiko panels and Sigenergy system installed by Skylar Solar and couldn’t be more pleased. Good competitive price and we’re always available to answer my questions. The whole team were very professional from Sinead in Sales, Adam, Harry and James the install team and finally the aftercare team of Devon & Payton. The reasons for I chose Skylar was their willingness to talk through various options, answering my many a varied questions and designing a system in light of that information. In addition there was some doubt about the number of panels that could be fitted, we agreed to assume that the larger number of panels would fit and reduce the bill if not. In the end not all the panels could be fitted and the bill was reduced. Most other companies I contacted only had ‘out of the box’ solutions which were cheaper but didn’t meet my requirements. The fitting went well. The crew worked hard all day and were personable and diligent, and finally commissioned the system and talked me through the Sigenergy App. There were some negatives, a small amount of litter left behind and some cable offcuts left on the conservatory roof. There was a blown brick where a cable penetrates, which wasn’t sealed and there was some damage to the end cap of a windowsill and the louvred cover of a vent, this may well have been caused during the assembly/disassembly of the scaffolding. The system has worked perfectly since installation to the extent that nearly all household demand has been satisfied by the system, the date being the middle of September. Would I recommend to family and friends? Yes.

We are very pleased with the Skylar process from first contact with Sinead to the way the installation went. Sinead dealt with me in a very patient, professional and friendly way. The attitude of the electricians James and Rob, was very good. The roofer, Robin, was a pleasure to deal with. His attention to detail is wonderful. The attention to detail with the electrics must have been as good but is not something I understand. They have all left our home in a very good state. I am already recommending people to Skylar particularly regarding the batteries and need for a larger capacity inverter. Keep up the good work.

I bought the solar panel and batteries from this company the sigenergy brand after searching online and get quotes exceedingly high, Skylar solar give me a excellent quote and when ahead with them, I saw the had been awarded platinum installer in the uk by sigenergy so it was the best choice for me. And best decision I have a take as the were very professional and paid attention to details James and Rob were very helpful. Now 3 months in to the system I can say is worth it and I have add more battery and a car charger all working together beautifully. 100% recommend!

The system design and installation (26/27 August) of 18 solar panels across two roofs plus 18KW of Sigenergy batteries was extremely well executed by the knowledgeable and customer focused team at Skylar. Everything was explained beforehand and my preferences for battery location and cabling were willingly accommodated. A week on and the system has been working as expected with the data and information being delivered very helpful when complemented with the heat pump stats. Overall we are delighted with the Skylar team and the competitively priced solar installation.

There are a lot of installers claiming to be the best etc . Some are very pushy . I found Skylar Solar a breath of fresh air . We went through a number of iterations , they took on board my feedback and were honest all the way along . I was amazed they did not insist on any upfront funding ONLY after install completion . There was a slight misunderstanding on day of install that was very easily rectified and that i had to have it on WIFI as hardwiring on ethernet was additional cost . I only had it installed last week so still finding my way around . I had Sigenergy , 3x9kw batteries (which other installers were not able to quote as Skylar are a platinum installer they get first access ) and 29 Akko Neostar 3s . Still waiting on G99 but assured it’s coming very soon . I actually found just getting a loan offered me a better selection of installers as often ones that offer finance packages - you end up paying a lot lot more .

Totally recommended: faultless process, from sales to installation and follow-up I contacted Skylar based on strong recommendations from a friend who used them after extensive research and quotes from other installers, the sales process was positive and the site survey very useful and informative. I was given a quick Friday install date because of a cancellation, the team landed early, they clearly explained what they planned to do and answered questions openly and concisely. The install team were obviously knowledgeable and experienced, I left them to it. When I returned at lunch time they had made great progress, the Gateway unit had not arrived, Skylar found another supplier and had it delivered. The install team worked round this problem, my system was up and running by late afternoon. The team explained what they had done, how to use the app and left when assured I was totally happy. The office team followed up after the weekend and supplied all the documentation needed to register my system with my power supplier and get paid for my export electricity. The office team has also quickly answered the few follow up questions I have had.

They expertly designed and installed a 16 kW battery system and a 10 kW panel array paired with a 10 kW inverter, perfectly calibrated to my home’s energy demands. The team walked me through the projected savings and long-term benefits. The whole process took about 10 weeks from initial contact to install. A special shoutout to Sinead, Payton, and Devon, who were phenomenal in coordinating every detail of the install through to after care sales. Another shoutout to the installation crew too as they arrived at 8 am and then worked till 8pm to complete the job—leaving the system up, running flawlessly. Since install I have haven't used any energy from the grid. My paperwork was sent through too after payment and now just waiting for Octopus to approve my export tariff. I can already see the benefits, as I am now thinking about an electric car. The Sig energy app has lots of data and info too that the install team talked me thorough and showed me how to use. The after-care has been amazing too and I am already thinking about another install and possibly another battery for even more savings. I can certainly recommend Skylar Solar. Presales, survey, installation and after sales all went very well. Any questions and issues were well handled. Payment is on completion of installation. The panels and Sigenergy battery were installed about a month ago and are performing great. The app is very informative and whilst I have not needed much support I feel it is there if needed.

I did a lot of research on the Sigeneegy system I wanted beforehand and had several quotes before deciding on Skylar. The pre install process was very good - very responsive and good knowledge and advice from Lewis. Skylar were only company that did a proper site survey (on roof) and adapted the design to maximise panel capacity and came up with the best solution to routing cables around - made the install more difficult, but now looks great and very neat. Prompt booking for install dates, scaffolders turned up on time and were very professional. Install experience was great - I had a few concerns beforehand, but was a pleasure to have Luke, Rob and the rest of the team working on the house...attention to detail, problem solving and good communication. Early days, but the Sigenergy solution looks good and is performing well. The App has a few areas it could be improved, but seems to get regular updates and enhancements from the manufacturer. MCS certs and documentation promptly sent and HIES cert shortly afterwards thanks to Devon and Payton. A good experience from start to finish and thought the price I paid was good value for money. The service from this company from the initial contact has been fantastic nothing was too much trouble for Sinead to provide us with a number of quotes until we made our minds up. They were not the cheapest quote we had but their quotes were all detailed out clearly which left no questions unanswered Sinead would also check to make sure everything was what we wanted. Scaffolding erected 2 days before fit. Very pleasant fitters Luke and James wasted no time on starting the fit and worked really hard all day to get it completed. App was explained to us before fitters left a clean and tidy site. More than pleased with the service deserves 10 stars and we would be willing to recommend.

Skylar Solar installed my panels and battery back in Feb. I have to say the installation quality by Dan and Lewis is top notch, everything was neat, tidy and done right. I can't comment much on the sales process as I specified what I wanted, and there wasn't much consultation from them on the design part. After sales support is great. Special shout out to Payton who has been patiently helping with setting up SEG and all the paperwork I needed after. Skylar is a great solar installer, clearly an expert in their field especially for SigEnergy products.

Agreed timescales, which were stuck to and not a day changed. Kept informed all the way through the process. All the scaffolding to commissioning team were super respectful and extremely knowledgable. 9.2kw panels, 8KW inverter & 16kw battery, plus well hidden secured wiring. Friends and family are super impressed with aesthetics and performance.

If you want a professional friendly company to do your solar installation you're in good hands with Skylar Solar. Sinead has to be the most patient sales person ever - changing designs and prices to meet my requirements. The payback calculations were easy to understand, the pricing was clear and competitive and the contract straight forward. Payton and the team were awesome - arranging a pre install survey, and scaffolding / installation dates that worked. Communication was brilliant - everyone at Skylar Solar has been a pleasure to deal with. Installation was over two days in early June - scaffolding went up and down on the agreed dates and Ant and James were consumate professionals who made a 24 panel install in variable weather run like clockwork. Nothing was too much trouble - their work ethic and skill was awesome and I cannot praise these guys enough. Post installation billing was quick and a really helpful handover pack was sent over containing all the paperwork needed to enable connection to the Grid together with warranties and insurance. The system works like a dream and is easily controlled by an intuitive app. If you think a solar battery is just a solar battery wait until you see a Sigenstor - these things are a work of art. I know people can be sceptical about reviews but if you're in the market for a solar install I would put Skylar Solar at the top of the list. Finally a quick tip - if you have a mortgage with one of the high street banks some of them are giving cash grants for solar installs so worth seeing if yours is in the scheme.

I cannot fault any part of the process with dealing with Skylar Solar. From the initial contact right through to the installation. They were always profession and quick to get back to me with any questions I asked. Our house had a challenging layout with no access to the rear garden apart from through the house. Despite this the scaffolding was completed in less than a day. The installation went very smoothly, and despite one panel being broken in transit (replaced on the day) it was completed in a day. All the wiring is to a very high standard. Since the installation I have not paid a penny (apart from SC) for energy. System is 14 panels on three roofs 13kW Battery 8kW invertor Gateway EV charger Highly recommended.

I recently had my solar and battery installation completed by Skylar Solar. I am very happy with the service they provided from the initial conversations and survey through to the installation and support. I first heard of them through a recommendation from a friend, who was very impressed with them. After doing my research and looking into 4 other companies, they filled me with the most confidence and also were only one of 2 that could meet my requirements of installing in-roof (tiles removed from roof and sitting flush) as well as on my flat roof. Throughout the whole sales and survey process they were upfront and honest about what they could deliver. The installation process was as expected and the final results look great. All the teams including sales, install engineers as well as backend office support were what I expect from a company and service and I couldn't fault them. Our solar panel / battery solution installed by Skylar has been up and running now for almost three weeks. Super happy with it. Pre-installation Lewis was fantastic and was happy to guide and consult. We settled on a Sigenergy battery / inverter solution. The implementation team of James, Lewis and Ant was first class. They worked like trojans for a full day and into the twilight to get everything installed and left the drive, garage, garden and loft spotless. Rob followed up to install the iBoost subsequently and again left things spotless. All four guys were friendly and professional. The office team of Devon & Payton has been first class. Overall, very happy with Team Skylar and the installation.

Fantastic company to deal with from start to finish. Lewis on the front end was knowledgeable, patient and always willing to answer questions, a credit to the company with no pushy sales tactics. This was a breath of fresh air compared to other companies. The install team led by James were on time, worked tirelessly for 2 days and always with a smile on the faces. The admin team of Devon and Payton were again a credit to the company. Communication was great throughout and despite having a small issue post install they dealt with it promptly and without fuss. Great experience from the start. Sales from Lewis where my needs were discussed, Everything organised to exact timings by Devon and Payton in the office. Exceptional install with the team working way into the night to get the job done lead by Rob. Everyone was polite and courteous and the install looks very professional.

They say they will look after you come out abd do any warranty work, no do mot they refused to come abd fix the faults on my installation saying solaredge said there was no fault, but solaredge told me there was a fault. There was had to get another company to repair fix fault with solaredges help to track down fault. So I would stay away from this company. When I had them upgrade to solaredge on my system they fad to come back as instalation was left in a right mess. I'll be taking them to court to recover the repair cost and to recover my installation cist as well.

Had a medium ish system install (sigenergy), Lewis was very informative. Install went well, all interactions were good and coms System working as expected, if not better. Will be looking at expanding the system in the future and will be using these guys again.

So, my install of a Sigenergy Car Charger, Gateway, 2 * 8KW batteries and a lovely 10kwh inverter, went very well. Thanks to Luke and Lewis. My install was straight forward from a location stand point, everything was within a nice area, but it's still surprising how much cabling there really is, when it comes down to it. Maybe that's having the gateway and car charger. Just don't assume it's bish, bash, bosh just because a sig is meant to be easier to install. My panel installation was small, and I had a nice Van de Valk installation on the loft dormer (Notice the foam pads the panels sit on, and the fact the frames are all joined to provide a spread load, and reduce the required weight) - Don't forget to check the structural weight that the flat roof can support, and make sure you renew the surface before plopping panels on it. The team in the office have been fantastic, so hats off to Sinead, Payton and Devon. Always very positive, and have been a pleasure to deal with. Very supportive when finally asking for payment :) Always get as many solar panels as you can fit, and if you plan to have more. Make sure you mention that in advance, so your inverter can be sized accordingly, for additional PV strings. G99 was ready and waiting once I had made my final payment. TBH it's gone really well, and Skylar were there when I managed to switch off my Gateway via the App, and disconnect the house from the grid :) Chunky fingers on my part. Biggest pain, is sorting out the feed in Tariff with EON NEXT, but hopefully that will be swift. Just keep all your documents together, also make sure you know how to get the electrical readings from your meter, for import and export. Would I recommend Skylar, yes indeed. Would I buy a Sigenstor again, yes indeed. You pay for what you get. Always do your research on what you are buying, and don't buy something that has a promised feature. There is a learning curve with a battery system, so go slow, and don't rush it. Also join the sigenstor facebook group. A lot of knowledge in there.

Very easy process to order through Andrew, guys who attended site did a super job, the girls in the background Devon and Payton did a super job too. Been off grid for over a week now and saving quite a bit already. Excellent company and great people. Highly recommend.

Recently had 18 panels, a 8kWh Sigenergy battery and inverter installed. Very straightforward and professional service provided by all staff members I dealt with from Georgie in sales, Rob who did the survey, Devon and Payton who managed all the paperwork and background processes and the two installers, electrician Adam and roofer James. They were very efficient and tidy in their work and were friendly and smiley throughout. System is working as described and is actually performing better than expected. After reviewing 5 separate quotes from various solar installation providers I decided to engage with Skylar Solar for my Solar/Battery installation. I have to say right from the initial contact the process was very professional and all the options were made very clear to me. If you're looking for a company to install solar panels and a top spec battery system (Sigenergy) then you need to speak to Skylar Solar. Initially skeptical when told that customer service was their top priority but the team have exceeded my expectations throughout the whole process. No hardsell, even though I was initially wanting to overspec but was advised against it, all questions were answered (even my silly ones), installation was done in one day (the electrician was on site till 630pm on a Friday to make sure it was done in a day) and the office staff have been super helpful and kept me updated throughout.

Had the solar install for nearly a month now, so far happy with the performance, meeting expectations. From the sales pitch, which was friendly and not pushy, through the survey, again all questions answered, to the install, friendly and a very tidy install I have no complaints. Used Skylar as had been recommended by a friend (install 10 years ago) and another colleagues (install 2 years ago) - both very pleased with installation and aftercare. My own experience was equally satisfactory. From the initial non-pushy telephone consult, minor changes to design and then the installation was was planned like a military operation! SigEnergy battery and NeoStar panels and seem to be working as expected. Time will tell as to the battery reliability. App is informative and intuitive. Easy to choose when you want battery to charge / discharge etc.

Skylar are such a pleasure to deal with from the initial phone call to the after care post install. The installers went into great care to give the cleanest possible install and were in no hurry to leave until it was all done perfectly. We went for the Sigenergy system for our business which I would highly recommend. There are cheaper systems which they also fit but this one is one of the best for safety and tech and the quote from Skylar made it very competitive. They are experts in all systems though so don’t be afraid to ask questions. Devon and Payton are amazing with their customer service and held my hand every step of the way.

Skylar were a generally competitive quote and it’s worth shopping around to ensure you’re happy before committing. Went for a Signergy 6kW system and 16kw of storage + 20 panels and was really happy with the install both in terms of neatness and the dedication of the guys on-site who worked late into the evening to get the work done. All great lads who clearly know what they’re doing and have done this many times before. They also agreed to split the output to the existing EV charger by adding an IP-rated outdoor consumer unit, seperate to the one for the PV/Battery install and stuck to their word to get this done as agreed (in order for the EV to not drain the battery). Scaffolding was put up on both front and rear elevations so there was a bit of a mess left behind with bits of bird mesh, roofing nails and screws dropped around but other than that, absolutely no complaints. They handled the G99 without fuss and provided all paperwork after invoice was paid. No money was taken prior to the work being completed as well, warranty backed by HIES and being a platinum installer - all help to have some comfort that Skylar are a trustworthy installer.

We are delighted with how our PV panels, battery, gateway and car charger are working. Skylar Solar is a superbly-run company. Everyone knows their role and executes very professionally. The sales process (Lyster-perfect design), scaffolding set up, electrical wiring (Dan -wonderful hiding of all cables), PV panel install, internal equipment install (Dan and Rob), administration & contracts/guarantees (Devon) have all been spot-on. The engineer from Octopus who installed a smart meter afterwards commented on the excellence of the work. Now for the next step of signing up for the flexi tariff which will enable the peak/ off-peak trading using the battery. We are very pleased that we chose Skylar Solar.

We had our solar and car charging system fitted 2 months ago and have had no issues at all. The team at Skylar were great to deal with, could not do more to help. Such a hard working and friendly team. The sales experience was totally not pushy and very informative, the install was excellently managed, despite our ‘challenging’ fuseboard positioning and the team went above and beyond to get the system up and running for us as quickly as possible. Even the logistics around the scaffold was well managed with it up and down within a day each side of the install. Aftercare has been great, just a few teething issues with the app, but we are delighted with our install and have recommended Skylar to friends!

Fantastic service end to end, from sales spending hours going through my quote and proposal (thanks Andy), the installers doing a fantastic job, to the back office staff managing the project! Installed a 22 panel (10KWp), 24KWh battery Sigenergy system which I fully recommend! Installers worked their socks off and stayed late into the day to get the install complete, commissioned and went through everything with me (thanks Luke). Install was neat and tidy, asked my opinion about routing the cable and they tidied up after themselves as much as they could! Slight change of plan on battery install location, but that wasn’t an issue for the guys! Scaffold went up 2 days before the install and down the day after the install. No ugly scaffolding being up longer than necessary! No payment taken until after the install which gave me huge confidence that they believe in the product and their workmanship! The warranty and workmanship warranty is better than anything out there. Once the order was signed, Payton and Devon dealt with all the paper work, DNO approval, booking dates in and will now be sorting out all the paper work. Was very nervous going through with this project but Skylar made things easy and for such a big project, the install went smoothly and all working as expected. If you’re reading this review, then don’t hesitate, just go with Skylar, you won’t regret it.

I can highly recommend Skylar Solar. A very knowledgeable company from the design stage (Lyster); installers (Luke & Rob) who are perfectionists and a first class admin team (Devon & Payton) that provide the best customer service. My garden room project included 24 Aiko PV Panels with Enphase microinverters, a Tesla battery storage system and as this was a new build, the use of 20 GSE in roof trays. Overall, it looks amazing and works just as the design team promised it would. 5 Stars to everyone involved at Skylar Solar.

What an absolute fantastic company to deal with. I am a very fussy person and having spent the majority of my life in the military my standards and level of OCD are on a higher level! Skylar Solar installed a 12 solar panels & Sigenergy Battery Storage system on my property in Wales. I was a bit cautious towards using them at first to the distance away from the company however after speaking to Andy I was willing to take the risk so I booked an install with them. The install of the system took a day. The roofer and the electrical guys that attended my property were absolutely amazing. Their standard of workmanship was brilliant. Behind the scenes the office staff were excellent as well. Very swift replying to messages and email. Also always polite when dealing with them via phone calls. Skylar Solar installed our rooftop Aiko solar panels with Sigenergy battery system earlier this summer. This team were brilliant! From the start, I really enjoyed Georgie’s selling style – it was clear he really knew what systems were out there from prior experience with a wide range of them, and his enthusiasm for Sigenergy over other systems really made an impression on me. Yet, he was far from your typical pushy half-truth salesman - it was clear he genuinely just wanted the best system for us, and everything he was promoting about Sigenergy accorded with the knowledge I had gained from my own research. We negotiated a price, which compared to our other two quotes for other (lower spec) systems, was very competitive. Within a month from quotation, we had a roof survey, DNO permissions, and the system fully installed by their own installation team, Luke and Liam, and a few days after that we had all the associated certificates / paper work. One of our concerns about installation was the scaffolding, as this had to be erected on neighbour’s property. However, we and neighbours were very happy, as the scaffolding was up and down within less than week. Luke and Liam were neat, tidy, courteous, and committed to the job. The installation was not all plain sailing, but they were determined to get it done within the day and stayed until 9pm to make sure it was. The following day, our system was generating and storing solar power. After a week or so, we paid our bill, having taken advantage of Skylar’s policy that you don’t pay them a penny until you’re completely happy with the system (yet another reason we chose them). Unfortunately, a week or so later it turned out that our system was not working as expected. It was generating / storing electricity fine, but was not correctly sensing our consumption (e.g. at times it was over-stating our consumption by several kW, at other times it was saying our consumption was zero, and at others it was reporting our consumption to be equal to our generation), which meant the battery did not charge / discharge at appropriate times, and power was being exported to / imported from the grid inappropriately. At this point, we were quite distressed, as we had paid a large sum of money to a company that had supplied us with a seemingly duff system. But, readers of this review, please do NOT see this as a warning against this company! I am including this detail because so few reviews provide any information on a company’s aftercare, and I think it is only when things go wrong and you see how a company deals with it that you get to find out what they are really made of. I am really pleased to say that Skylar were nothing short of exemplary. I was in frequent contact with Skylar’s admin team, Payton and Devon, who were both very professional, reassuring, patient, understanding, and very efficient communicators. They promptly sent out another of their installation team, James, who efficiently spotted the problem, which was just a loose connection in the Power Sensor device due to a screw being over-tightened (damaged thread). He fixed it there and then (on a temporary basis), but he wanted the system to be perfect for us, so he ordered a whole new Power Sensor. This was installed by Luke a few weeks later. However, we then noticed a new problem – our ‘To Grid’ and ‘From Grid’ figures on the app were stuck at zero (despite import and export to the grid happening as expected). I was then again in contact with Skylar who again handled the problem really well. This time, Skylar liaised with Sigenergy who fixed the issue (a fault with our app / account) within days. We are now very happy with our system, which is working perfectly, and is saving us significant money on our bills, even on the cloudiest of days. Overall, we only have good things to say about Skylar Solar. They are professional, committed, full of integrity, and reasonably priced. We whole-heartedly recommend them!

They met my expectations with a professional install very neatly done, this is just what I wanted. We recently had a solar installation from Skylar Solar, with so many options and companies out there I did a lot of research beforehand and had a fair few quotes. Skylar stood out due to no hard selling techniques and the fact that they explained all the options clearly with pro's and cons of each. In the end we decided to go with them as we had confidence that they could deliver a high quality service. Lewis (Moore) was very responsive to all of my silly questions and nothing seemed too much trouble. Also the fact that they wouldn't take any money up front was also appealing. The installation day came and the guys arrived nice and early and did a great job despite poor weather conditions. This meant that it took a few days to complete and there were a couple of issues along the way. All of these however were dealt with well, to the extent that on the final day the engineer was here until late refusing to leave until everything was perfect and he made sure I was happy and explained and demonstrated everything. We had a small issue afterwards with our EV charger but again it was dealt with very quickly with no fuss. I cannot recommend Skylar highly enough and if you are considering Solar I wouldn't hesitate to use them. A special shout out to Devon who was a pleasure to deal with and very professional and very responsive to all my messages and questions.

To start we received excellent advice and information without feeling that we were being pushed to buy anything. Lots of patience from the team to answer to all of our questions. Trying to decide on a solar panel installer is not easy when there are so many businesses offering the service. Skylar responded to my contact quicker than any other installer and had completed the installation before some other firms had even responded to my request for a quote. When talking to Skylar Solar it was clear I was talking to someone who has a technical knowledge of the products not a salesman. Of all the businesses that quoted me for solar panels Skylar Solar were the only one that did not require a deposit before installation. Nothing was paid until the installation was complete. Skylar Solar sent an engineer to do a site survey whereas other installers only use Google Earth to decide what scaffolding would be required etc. Skylar Solar were also very competitive on price, I received one quote that was slightly cheaper but the specifications of those panels and battery were not as good as those offered by Skylar. Scaffolding was installed on the promised date and removed the day after the panels were installed. The engineer completed the installation quickly and to a very high standard as did the electrician who installed the SigEnergy battery and inverter. A day after I paid the bill I received an email with the MCS certificate and G99 approval so that I could export surplus electricity to the grid, so only 2 weeks after the installation I’m getting credit for the electricity I’m sending to the grid. Skylar Solar have provided excellent service from start to finish.

Our experience with Skylar Solar was excellent. I particularly appreciate the amount of time spent by Andy in giving us advice and guidance prior to our signing a contract. At installation both engineers, namely Lewis, who installed the panels, and Dan, the electrician, did a first rate job, going above and beyond to ensure the minimum amount of disruption and that all cabling was done as efficiently and as neatly as possible. They were very open in discussing options and recommending the best course of action. After getting so many quotes from another installers I pick Skylar Solar. Because they offered one of the best offers for a large system with 610 and 460 panels. ( just to say none of the offers if final and its always room to negotiate :) ) Salesperson Andy was very knowledgeable and very helpful. The installers were very friendly and helpful. They work extremely hard to push 2 days job in one day. I definitely would recommend them, because not unlike local installers they will go for the G99 application and even suggested putting in the contract that if they won't manage to get a minimum export they are happy to cancel the contract without any charges. They won't take any deposit until the job is done and I'm happy with the installation. They are not perfect. They left small rubbish around as they worked. Like clips and mesh cut-offs, but they in my opinion at least one of the better installers. They did everything I asked them and more. Just HIES insurance was sent under “Staybright Energy LTD“ the company name, not Skylar Solar.

Have just installed Solar panels and the experience couldn't have been better. The pre-installation survey was thorough, and all questions about the system answered patiently and clearly. The installation day itself was (bizarrely) a delight. Rob and James deserve their own podcast, or even a TV show. The combination of endless wisecracks combined with utter professionalism was a rare treat. They arrived early and immediately set about improving on the plan to the point where we ended with no internal/unsightly trunking. Nothing was too much trouble, and the two lads obviously had enormous job satisfaction, which installed great confidence. Luke completed the team and was enormously careful to minimise the visual impact of the panels as well as taking enormous care not to damage the tiled roof in any way. It is rare that one can say it was pure fun to have workmen around the house. The follow up from the office was also handled efficiently and extremely politely. Maximum efficiency, minimal mess. I can't Skylar Solar recommend highly enough.

We recently decided to get solar and battery storage installed on our newly built workshop and, after shopping around, went with Skylar Solar. We ordered: 16 x 455w Aiko Gen 2 Black Frame Solar Panels with optimisers, 1 x 6Kw Sig Energy Inverter 2 x 8Kwh Sig Energy Batteries. We chose Skylar due to the exceptional knowledge of Andy Martin, who went through everything with us and answered every question we had. This coupled with the great price and the comms from Devon in the office around install dates etc. We could not recommend them enough. Happy with how the system is working even on overcast days and we know that if we ever have any questions they will be available to help.

From installing my system to sorting out any problems ! This company is most definitely the best! Cannot rate them high enough. So helpful and knowledgeable I wouldn’t look anywhere else , reassuringly there Aftersales is second to none , when I did have a small problem with a battery nothing was too much trouble quickly sorting out everything and getting me back up running within a few days! There are so many companies out there , but honestly you will be well looked after!

Very happy that I went with Skylar for my solar & battery install a few weeks ago. The whole process from pre-sale & design through to install and post implementation support has been excellent. Was surprised that the install was completed in a single day, given quite a large number of panels, split across pitched and flat roof, and not quite ideal loft space to install the gateway, but a very neat job completed very well. Pleased with the system performance so far too, rough calculations showing a payback in-line with what was suggested during the sale process – especially when allowing for the cheaper recharge on my EV.

So we finally took the plunge and got a solar panel system with a battery. An initial Google search on a website for some idea of costs resulted in 3 ‘ selected’ companies contacting me. (schoolboy error) As I tend to do exhaustive research and try to get an understanding of the technicalities before talking to companies , this took me a little by surprise. Of the three companies, Skylar Solar impressed me the most right from the outset. Lyster from sales contacted me to discuss my needs and requirements. He was very patient and provided information for ( mainly YouTube) sites which gave independent advice on both system and component specifications as well as what to look out for in a good installer. There were certain red flags with the other companies for instance ‘ we have a cancellation in the area and can do you a special offer' and a ‘ we can supply anything you want and beat any quote.’ Thankfully none of that from Skylar. A good system specification. Quality products ( confirmed by independent reviews) and a fair, fixed price. Absolutely no high pressure sales. The final quote was not the cheapest but the equipment specified had good reviews and had been recommended for its features and ease of commissioning. (Sigenergy integrated inverter and battery)I felt that it was a case of 'you get what you pay for'. Having agreed to proceed, all dealings with staff have been reassuringly pleasant and professional. Peyton in the office kept me updated with progress of my order and was brilliant in organising the pre installation site survey by James. Even giving updates that he was delayed in traffic and would be 15 minutes late! Once the site survey was completed the installation was booked for a date for my convenience. Once again Peyton kept me informed of crucial updates and of progress. Surprisingly, scaffolders were booked for a Saturday and turned up on time and erected 2 sets of scaffold quickly and efficiently. At the conclusion of the install the scaffolding was also removed within a few days. None of the horror stories of scaffold being in place for weeks! James, Richard and the man on the roof (I am afraid I have forgotten his name!) turned up at 0830 on Monday morning and completed the installation within the day. They finally left at 9.30pm. Leaving me with a fully commissioned and operational system ( 20 panels, 16kWh battery). I am really impressed with their work ethic, friendly, can- do attitude and standard of work. The system was commissioned on the day with a run through of the installation of the management app and instructions on how things worked. Devon, in the office, then followed up with all of the paperwork certification and guarantees the following morning. The paperwork included G99 application, HIES insurance Warranty NICEIC certificate and MCS certificate At every stage all at Skylar Solar have been brilliant. Every member of staff has been pleasant and professional. The whole installation and commissioning process has been painless. The installation was not cheap. It represents a substantial outlay and I was understandably nervous committing to any company. I am really pleased that I chose Skylar Solar and would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.

Was the only company that could offer me a bi-directional charger as part of the system* 3. Did an onsite survey - I wouldn't trust any that didn't, as they they wouldn't know if they can deliver, but some don't! 4. Were excellent during installation and cleaned up really well. Also always a quick response to any queries. Very highly recommended. *although there are software protocols outside their control which still need sorting before it works bi-directionally

Had my solar system from Skylar Solar for just over a week now and have to say it’s an excellent purchase that’s going well beyond what the team suggested it might provide. It’s been an excellent experience from start to finish. From working with Lyster and making the poor guy give me about ten quotes to match and test out different configurations to the team getting things booked in quickly and efficiently. On the day of installation things continued along that trend with James and Adam the team that installed the solution doing an amazing job considering it randomly rained and hailed on them they still got everything in and a done and to a very neat, professional standard leaving the place looking great. Though I swear James is part mountain goat considering how he climbs over the roof. Since the install I’ve used zero grid electricity with the panels and battery delivering everything promised and more, all in all an excellent investment that has made a definite difference to my energy usage and bills, can’t recommend this company enough.

Can highly recommend based on my experience with having a solar / battery system installed back in July. Was speaking with Lewis who was able to talk me through all the elements of the proposed system and quickly update it to my requirements. Once I gave the go-ahead, install was booked within 2 weeks with an onsite survey a week prior to check everything would fit as planned. Scaffolding was up the day before and back down within the week, which was a pleasant surprise as you hear lots of horror stories of people's houses being used as storage by scaffolders (not that I've ever seen such a complaint about Skylar). Installation went smoothly, my property was respected and install was done to my wishes, with the installers doing their utmost to route all the cables so that they were practically invisible. Was very concerned about having the side of my house covered in unsightly ducting and switches, but this isn't the case. Even in the utility cupboard, effort beyond what I asked for was taken to ensure that everything was neat and tidy. Aftercare has been great, no issues getting in touch to ask questions about how to use the system / app. MCS certificate and all other required information was provided the same day. After receiving numerous quotes from PV installers all over the country, we decided to go with Skylar Solar. They took their time to answer our questions without being pushy and offered an on site site survey even though, we are a 5 hour drive away from their main office. They installed our Aiko panels, Sigenergy inverter and battery. It was a very positive experience from start to finish. Lyster Romero was always there to answer any questions we had. We had to make some changes after our site survey but it was no problem whatsoever. The team arrived on time. They were polite and answered any questions we had. I had considered getting solar panels when we first moved into our home and later looked into battery only storage during the Covid lockdowns, but the prices were always just out of reach. fast forward to July 2024, the costs dropped significantly, so I decided to move forward with a solar and battery system. The tech had also advanced quite a bit since I last explored these options. I contacted five different solar companies for quotes and used a spreadsheet to make it easier to compare the quotes. The spreadsheets included columns of positives and negatives of company. All the salespeople were knowledgeable and professional, but the prices and equipment(branding) varied. I started out with 4 proposals with Andy Martin's most accurately reflecting my requirements. He comprehensively and patiently answered all of my questions and is clearly very knowledgeable. Installation was completed in a day with Dan and Lewis. Really nice guys, respectful of our property, explaining the work they were going to do. All cabling is neat and tidy and they did a very good job of clearing up inside and out. Devon and Payton provided excellent office support and have made it very clear that they are willing to assist with any post-installation issues. Almost one week on, all is working as it should (15 Aiko panels with Sigenergy battery and invertor). From start to finish this has been a professional installation, I highly recommend Skylar Solar.

Had Skylar solar panel fitted 3 years ago with a very professional bunch of guys. A couple of weeks ago I noticed they my batteries were not charging. Within 12 hours of reporting the fault I was informed it was my inverter that was the problem and using the warranty they would apply for a new replacement. Happy to say now 2 weeks later the new inverter is installed and everything up and running perfect. Everyone of Skylar Solar have been outstanding the engineer who installed the new inverter went out of his way to help , which included relocating my batteries and making an extra long cable to allow this to happen. Great team and could not recommend them more highly.

I’m over the moon with my solar panel and battery installation from Skylar Solar. The ordering process was seamless, and it was convenient to handle everything digitally. Although the survey date had to be rescheduled and the installation took 2 days instead of 1, the team was very apologetic. A few roof tiles were damaged during the installation, but Skylar promptly arranged for them to be replaced. Overall, I’m very satisfied with their service and professionalism.

We chose Skylar Solar after getting a recommendation from a neighbour. We have been extremely happy with the entire team throughout the process. All communication has been excellent. The team are all friendly and professional and extremely proactive. The installation went smoothly and was completed in a day. We did have one snagging issue which we noticed the following weekend. The response was extremely rapid and everything was sorted within 24 hours. We are really happy with the system and it's working really well. I loved that we paid absolutely nothing until the system was up and running.

My system has been up and running for about 6 weeks now and I’m really pleased with the set up (Sig 5 kWh inverter, 8 kWh battery with 11 Aiko panels) and installation through Skylar. Prior to choosing Skylar I’d been looking into solar for the past 2 years and had a number of quotes through other companies. I chose Skylar over other suppliers as they had excellent reviews, are MCS certified and also an offered a £0 deposit. More important I was really impressed with Andrew Martin and his knowledge- he worked through a number of different options to maximise the potential for the system and panel placement. My install was a little different than most as it was on a dormer roof and also sloping roof with two roof velux to work around. Andrew always came back to me very quickly- before, during and after the installation. It’s rare to have that level of customer service. After signing up the whole process only took a few weeks. Devon (office manager) and Paton took care of all the paperwork (DNS/G99 etc) and Ant was in charge of the on site installation. I was quite nervous on the day but the guys got straight to work and by the end of the day the system was up and running. Shortly after I made payment, Devon emailed over the handover pack and within a week I was set up to export with Octopus. Since installation my electricity bill has been £0 and I’ve just hit 1 mWh of electricity through solar, most of which has been exported. Overall I’m really pleased with the system, installation and Skylar. Just wish the sun would come out more!!

I agreed a very good price with Lewis and a survey was booked. That went ahead and then two further dates were set, the initial one for scaffolding to be erected and the second for the installation. The contractors that Skylar used - Luke, Liam and James - are as good as I have come across and cared about doing the best job they could. Everything happened on time and the scaffolding was collected the following day. Payton took care of the admin aspects and kept me updated throughout. I can honestly say that I am rarely as impressed when buying goods and services as I have been with Skylar Solar and I would happily and strongly recommend them to anyone.

Everyone we have dealt with have been first class. Everything was made clear at every stage of the process including the survey, fine tuning the plans and admin with Devon & Payton. The SigEnergy battery and app have been a breeze to use after installation. I’ve not even mentioned the Zappi car charger that they installed too. If you’re considering solar panels do yourself a favour and use these guys! Excellent service all round.

We used Skylar Solar to install some batteries on our office. They were highly recommended by a neighbour and we must say Skylar Solar have been fantastic throughout the process. The quotes were competitive and we loved the fact that you don’t pay anything until it has been all installed and you are happy. In fact I had to chase the team as I wanted to make payment sooner rather than later. The office team dealt with all the appointments and kept us in the loop throughout as we had 9 batteries in total to install. The installation team, that included, Rob and James are absolutely amazing guys. Super friendly, polite and we always had a good banter. Even when we did have a couple of minor issues with breakers being faulty, the team came out and replaced the breaker and then the Enclosure on my request. All the works was carried out to a very high standard. Anyone that sees the work comments on the exceptional quality of installation. Genuinely a really nice company to work with and I would highly recommend.

From beginning to end of the process Skylar have been brilliant and I will be recommending them to others. Andy was great at going into detail to make sure the system we specified was correctly. Payton has been fantastic at clearly communicating and scheduling the installation and documentation. The installation team were helpful, polite and hard working. The installation was slightly complex for my roof but they spent the time to overcome any issues and have done an awesome job. Since turning on the system in early May I have used almost no mains electricity and have exported almost 1300kW!

The Skylar team have been exceptional from first point of contact. They have been supportive and collaborative through each of the stages of the project from the scaffolding set up, edits to panel design layout, the installation of panels to fitting the battery & finding the optimal route to my smart metre along with supporting me getting my Smart Export Guarantee documentation and submission pack assembled. The team were great communicators, willing to listen to my "many" questions and flexible and adaptive to all the "little challenges" that occur on any project of this nature. All the staff from Skylar Solar are really good, polite, effective. Their offer are so competitive which really can shorten the year of break even and increase ROI. Their busses model are effective. Intially ,email and WhatsApp discussion with Lewis, who really professional, effective and polite. They sent a couple of system design and full technical specifications sheet send over electronic, it allow me to understand the detail without pressure. Surveyor was only sent to confirm the feasibility once offer accepted (but NO deposit is needed to pay in advance). On date of installation, Rob, James, Andrew do their job very well. They allow me to chose the best cable running route, fuse box location before setup. They finished the work before 6pm. System is really good and nice, black panel look better than others. Sigen system look pretty too, highly recommended.

In Summary Skylar Solar are a customer focused team of experts, installing the best equipment to a high standard – couldn’t be happier I used them to become greener and to save money on electricity! Call them now! I started my solar journey with Andy Martin at Skylar Solar and he is the most knowledgeable and helpful guy I’ve ever worked with. He was so patient and answered every question I could think of and came up with several configuration ideas that other companies wouldn’t even consider. I got several other companies to quote me and they just didn’t impress me like Andy did! In the end I went with 6 panels on the east and west sides of the house so generating power throughout the day! He recommended the Sigenergy 5 in 1 unit and it’s a truly amazing machine! It’s extremely neat and tidy with great safety features. The MySigen App is so informative of everything coming into the house and battery as well as exporting to the grid. The scaffolding arrived quickly and on the install day Luke and his buddy got to work and by midday the panels were up on the roof, then the tricky part was getting all the wiring up and though the roof. Again, they did a flawless job and was done to a high standard. Note the power was only off for just under an hour while they put in the new fuse box in for the solar. By 4:30 the system was all powered up and generating charge for the battery and house appliances. They removed all rubbish and made sure I was 100% happy with how the system worked as well as the App. Then had Devon from the office call a few days later to make sure I was 100% happy with the setup before even paying a penny! Skylar Solar did all the paper work so that I could get paid to export power to the grid and the good news is after 4x sunny days I’ve already created 105kw’s and exported 50kw back to the grid. I was very nervous about spending money on Solar panels and batteries but Skylar Solar have a team of experts to help you out with anything. - I would recommend them 100%

Skylar have been absolutely brilliant from start to finish. They installed 9 solar panels and a Sigen battery, including 4 panels on the dormer roof which other companies were reluctant to do. Luke and his team were super professional and efficient, Payton was a great communicator, and the installation went really smoothly. We had a small issue a few weeks after the install, and they were immediately on it, and fixed the issue the next day - even though we live on the other side of the country! Highly recommended!

My system (7 Jinko All Black panels, GivEnergy 3.6 kW hybrid inverter, GivEnergy 9.5 kWh battery and GivEnergy 7 kW EV Charger) was installed in South Liverpool in mid-January. The panels are on the roof of a detached garage behind my house, and the inverter and battery inside the garage. I live in a conservation area, so panels on the main house roof were a no-no. The panels work well on the garage with the added bonus that we cannot see them when in the garden! Skylar Solar were brilliant throughout the process, from Georgie and Andy at sales/specification/order stage, to Rob and the team doing the install, and (not least) Payton afterwards for helping with all sorts of essential paperwork and especially the unexpected Octopus/SP Energy/ECOES issues sorting out the export MPAN (took 3 months to resolve due to my postcode being wrong in the ECOES database, and then Octopus not telling me for over 6 weeks that it had been corrected). I am on an Octopus Agile contract with everything automatically managed 24/7 by HomeAssistant and Predbat running on my Synology NAS drive. Predbat takes care of maximising import at low prices and maximising export when the export prices are high, while also taking account of predicted and actual solar panel generation. I would thoroughly recommend Skylar Solar to anyone. Great service and great people.

There really needs to be a 5 star plus button for Skylar Solar. Amazing service from start to finish. I was recommended by a very close friend of mine who also had a great experience. The installation was spot on, the engineers were very curtious when in the house by making sure not to get carpet dirty. Always kept us in the loop and explained each step. We are very new to this all and Skylar made it a whole lot simple for us. We started our solar energy quest a month ago and probably received 10-12 quotes. Each quote would be miles apart on pricing and would offer the same products. For us it wasn't the price but the peace of mind after the install. Its after care, which needs to be 100%. My friend recommended Skylar to us as he experienced a great level of after care. Skylar Solar were recommended by a friend who had recently used them. All of the staff we have come into contact with have been extremely helpful. We were given time to consider various options and decided to proceed with a relatively new system. Luke and his colleague worked really hard on the install day and were here till late as the inverter wasn't initially connecting to the Wifi. Thankfully they managed to get it fixed before leaving. We needed them to pop out a few days later as it was clear there was an issue with solar generation but it turned out a to be a quick fix and was rectified within a few minutes. Since then the system appears to be working well. Overall, I'm very pleased we chose Skylar and would be happy to recommend them based on our recent experience.

I've had a number of quotations for a solar / battery system and in the end Skylar gave me the most competitive balance of specification & price which was considerably better than some local suppliers. As I needed to get some preliminary work done before hand they took a small deposit as the installation date at this point was 3 months away but I was kept in loops about the survey, panel layout and G99 applications. Installation day finally arrived and James and the team arrived just after breakfast and go to work and even with the terrible weather and a few technical hitches the system was installed and commissioned before dark and despite the reputations of those working in electrical trade they left the house pretty much as they found it - a great bunch of guys for whom nothing was too much trouble. 2 days in the system is working better than I expected given my roof is more westerly and SunSynk connect is working with Octopus agile to use cheap power to top up the battery. Edit : I forgot to mention Payton, Devon & George working behind the scenes who are all extremely helpful & professional, Overall I would recommend Skylar to anyone considering an investment in renewables.

The install day was a little challenging for James and the team, although they battled on through the poor weather. I initially contacted Skylar based on the positive reviews. From initial contact I found the team so informative and passionate about their products. I had so many questions, which Andy Martin addressed in detail. Andy presented options, whilst clearly spelling out the pros and cons of each. I have an electrical engineering background, so although the field of solar was new to me, I was able to recognise that what was being discussed was from a knowledgeable and experienced company. At no time did I feel under any pressure. Skylar didn’t take any money whatsoever, until the system was installed and running. Other companies I contacted required at least some money up front. Fantastic from start to finish - whether that's Andy in sales who spent hours with me discussing that was best for us (8pm on a Friday night!), Payton who sorted out all the paperwork (including my last minute changes!), Devon who coordinated the team and the scaffolding, or the guys doing the install (James, Matt, Ant, and Shaun). Andy and I worked through lots of different options until we got the system just right, and within a couple of weeks we were good to go. James, Matt, Ant, and Shaun did the installation yesterday and today - faultless from the beginning through to the the end. All 25 panels fitted, battery, inverter, cutover switch - commissioned and powering the house by 1030 this morning (and in the 5 hours since switching on we've used nothing from the grid even with it being gloomy, rainy, and 5 degrees) Great team, they really know their stuff, and when I expand the system I know exactly who I'll be calling.

Installation and product were as described and suit our needs very well. The Team that installed the system had a very long day but were hadworking and helpful throughout. The only reson that this has not got 5 stars is that there was a minor hiccup to do with th WiFi dongle which meant that a follow up visit had to be made to initiate the remote app. However the sytem was working as expected at the end of the installation day and is proving to be very good. Great service, great value for money , great price. What more can be said.

Skylar installed a 6kw array on my property in north wales. Andy took the time to understand my requirements at quotation stage and was happy to discuss the pros and cons of various inverters. A car charging point was also added to the install at a late stage at a very reasonable price. There was no hard sell which made a change from other operators in the solar market. We have a slate roof which makes installation a bit more complicated. I went for Skylar because unlike many of their competitors they do not drill through slates, instead removing slates and fitting roof hooks directly to rafters and flashing round them, a much more durable solution. The work was completed by a team of four in one day. The electrical install was very tidy with all cables neatly tucked away in ducts, and switchgear clearly labelled. There was a slight issue with the panel installation - Skylar were very apologetic and this was fully resolved without quibble and within 48hrs. All paperwork was sent through promptly including MCS cert, G99 approval and building regs approval for the electrical works. Overall I am very pleased with the installation and would recommend Skylar to others.

Had a excellent experience with Skylar Solar for the installation of my 4kW Jinko solar array, 16kWh GivEnergy battery bank and Zappi EV charger in December '23. From initial contact to installation was about 3 weeks and during this time all communication with them was prompt and very helpful, including making some last minute alterations to the set up a few days before install. Aftersales care has also been excellent as I've had a couple of queries which I required help with. Massive thanks to Lewis in the sales team, Payton and Devon in the admin team and engineers Luke, Liam and Rob. All were fantastic to deal with and made the whole process very easy for myself from start to finish.

What can I say about Skylar Solar. From start to finish this has been an excellent experience. Once I knew what I wanted I talked it over with Skylar and they were by far the most professional and honest people I had spoken to about my project, not trying to up sell but provide a product to meet my needs at a VERY competitive price! The install was effortless and unfortunately I didnt catch the engineer's name but he was very efficent and the install was complete in just over an hour or so. Solar panel, Inverter and batteries Skylar was recommended by a neighbour and we were very pleased with the result. The admin team were friendly and responsive both before and after the installation. The panels were installed in atrocious weather (during one of the November named storms) with Rob and the team maintaining good humour throughout. There were some unforeseen difficulties resulting in late working to get the job done, before a 3 hour drive back to Essex. We felt they went the extra mile to ensure the installation met our needs and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending Skylar to others. All we need now is some sun!

The team is very professional starting with Lewis from the sales side. We did get a matching equipment quote for easier comparison with Octopus Energy’s quote on Givenergy solar, then had a second quote for their Growatt system. We decided to go with Growatt. There was no pressure sale even though we had to wait as we used Nationwide Green Energy mortgage for the funds. The installation was straight forward. Luke and Liam were there very early and finished by 2pm. They were both very professional and explained the system settings at the end of the installation. One of the batteries failed on the same day, Luke came back the following day and disconnected it, so we could use the battery with lower capacity while Growatt was sorting the warranty change, which was done within a few days. The scaffolding went up the day before the install and came down a few days after, again no issues. Devon and Payton from the office helped with the paperwork and any questions we had, answered emails/texts even on their day off. All in all, a great experience! I can only recommend Skylar Solar.

I was recommended to go with Skylar after a friend had used them for an installation. I got alternative quotes as well for comparison but the amount of flexibility in the options (i.e Panels / inverters) was outstanding and also the way they were able to explain the impact of different options (combinations of panels / size of inverter etc) gave me a lot of confidence. We had a slightly unusual issue with the Zappi charger which was fixed very quickly with no fuss. Oh and they were very competitive on price.

We found Skylar Solar through Which? Trusted Traders after getting a number of quotes from traders who turned out to be not properly certificated or really pushy. Skylar were in a different league from the outset and I’m sorry we didn’t find them at the beginning. They recommended the best panels to make the most of our limited roof space and once we decided to go ahead, Devon and Payton made sure the arrangements went as planned. Devon was particularly good as explaining why they had chosen a particular fixing system for the panels. The scaffolders came when they said and were very careful. Luke, the engineer, and his team did a fantastic job in difficult circumstances, fixing the panels on two flat roofs 3 floors up. They worked in the rain to run the cable down the side of the house and into the basement. Luke even crawled under the floorboards! Skylar were friendly, helpful and efficient throughout and we thoroughly recommend them. They don’t require any payment until you are happy which shows a confidence in their work. The system is working really well and the paperwork came through in a few days.

This is my second experience of Skylar Solar, who have fitted a few more panels to another part of my roof. As usual, they have been efficient, extremely polite - the chaps on the job & the office staff - and always very helpful. I have now had a skylar installation for just over 1 year and I am very happy with it. Today I have had the firm install a second battery to provide a total of approx 13kw storage as the roof panels easily generate more than this on a daily basis. After agreeing the system and price I was contacted by Devon to arrange convenient time to carryout survey the guys that turned up were very friendly and helpful. Devon then contacted me to arrange a convenient date to have scaffolding erected again both guys were very friendly and 2 days later Luke & Lewis arrived and installed the 16 Hyundai panels, Growatt hybrid inverter and 3 x 3.3kw Growatt batteries within the day they done a great job and left my house clean and tidy and removed all the packaging. I would strongly recommend Skylar Solar.

We did lots of research to identify a suitable company to install our Solar panels. I made an initial enquiry and the next day a sales executive called me. He prepared a thorough quote and followed up with a call. We discussed different options and I agreed with his recommendations after more research. The survey was completed quickly and the installation was offered soon afterwards. We then dealt with Devon and Payton in the admin team who were both great and helpful. We had to change installation date twice due to roadworks outside our house. Payton was very accommodating and rescheduled for us. Scaffolding was arranged by the admin team and the solar panels were fitted on agreed date. The installation team did a great job and fitted the panels and equipment in one day. I was impressed with the way the inverter and battery was fitted neatly in my garage. The installers then showed me the app and explained how to use it. Overall I have been really impressed with the whole team at Skylar Solar and would not hesitate to recommend them to family or friends. A great company who were a breeze to deal with.

Half the companies came back with stupid prices or just didn't want to do the job . The other half were discarded on digging around for genuine reviews. The engineers turned up on time and verified works to be carried out . On the day of installation the engineers again arrived on time and took time to carry out the installation with the utmost professionalism and care. I'm really pleased I chose Skylar for my Solar PV+battery solution. Everyone was friendly and professional; from Sales to admin, install and support. It took me a long time from first quote to when I'd made my decision. Lewis was happy with me coming back with random questions and asking for different solutions, but I never felt pressured to make a purchase. The installation looks great and is working as planned. They took care of all the application paperwork and delivered all the completed forms I needed electronically at the end. We had a couple of surprises pop up during the install and the flexible way they worked with me to solve these challenges is what really made them stand out. It's when things don't quite go to plan you really find out the quality of service and Skylar were great. Excellent experience from initial sales request through the office back support and excellent installation team, Luke and Liam. We picked probably the best day of the year to commission the system, more by luck I think rather than planning on my behalf I hasten to say. Very near longest day and wall to wall sunshine which showed immediately the systems maximum potential both generation from PV panels, fully charging the battery and frustration that we were supplying grid with free power literally a few hours of the new system running. We were initially a bit sceptical about a West roof elevation and not that I’m desperate to get my SEG tariff sorted, more I need more battery during ideal solar conditions. Installation team were great, hard working and passionate about all things Solar. Very professional and knowledgeable and were very forthcoming with answers to my queries and making provisions in the electrical work to allow for that extra battery. Site was all clear and tidy when leaving my only criticism is they only accepted one tea&coffee despite numerous requests by me for more fluids due to heat. The after sales support I’ve yet to test but I’m confident the support is there to hand should I need. Well done Skylar Solar.

1 month since our installation and all is going well. Received all certificates and our export tariff is live. Initially Skylar got stumped by the need to run about 40 meters of cable between to buildings and to our consumer board but after a delay of a week or 2 the job was completed in fine fashion. There was no mess, everything done to a high standard, you wouldn't even know they had run cable in the loft or been working about the house. I highly recommend them to anyone else.

I have encountered a great team a Skylar Solar who quoted and installed a solar energy system for me. I had been offered quotes by 2 other companies but Harry in their sales always went the extra mile, answered all my question and helped me successfully applied for an LDC so naturally got my custom. I would like to say a big thank you to Harry. Other members of the team, from Devon and Payton in the office, Luke and Liam who installed all played their part in smoothing the whole experience, also a thank you. Got my paperwork real quick too to apply for Export Tariff. Only installed last week – just perfect before the hottest weekend of the year! I am still new to how it works but seems to be running fine – I am sure I'll have lots to find out and will be requiring some hand holding from the team in the near future as the interface of the Growatt website has changed from the learning video supplied needing an extra quick walk through in time. I recently had trouble with another company that took my money as a deposit and wanted more and more cash, eventually I got my money back and contacted Skylar Solar. Rob came to visit my home and made various changes to my setup and wanted to install more panels with ZERO cash upfront , I took his advice and added those along with even more panels. I was really glad we chose to have more and now have 20 panels split East/West and we pull in a ridiculous amount of energy. The install had a couple of glitches but was installed within 2 weeks, there was loads of communications going back n forth and no hidden extras. I would certainly recommend Skylar Solar. All I’m paying for electricity is a standing charge most days and my system is hitting 50kwh even on cloudy days.

The whole experience of using Skylar Solar has been exemplary. Right from the time of making the first contact with the sales team to choosing the right product for my situation. The solar panels, battery and other products were of excellent quality. There was always a point of contact and any queries were answered truthfully and competently. The team have been great. By far the quickest and most comprehensive quote from all the suppliers we contacted. No deposits or anything upfront either a d from contract to install was a week or 2, way quicker than anyone else could do. Had a couple of issues with installers getting stuck elsewhere then had to move back a day, also different panels arrived due to stock shortages. All sorted by Devon and the team in the office with a fair offer of compensation. They've been quick with resolving any queries after installation as well. Install was done in a day - 12 panels and battery performing very well with current electricity bill down to £18 a month (£13 of which was standing charge!)

I've just had a 6Kw system with battery storage installed by Skylar solar. My installation wasn't simple, involving a full planning cycle, delays, multiple installation date changes etc. Devon, Harry and Luke the installer were very flexible and helpful throughout the process, and I'm very happy with the end result. We had our solar installation completed by skylar 2 months ago. Quotation, to installation, to follow up customer care, they have been brilliant. Attention to detail has been second to none. From a 25 year workmanship warranty to pointing out that we need bird netting around the panels (we live by the sea with pigeons and sea gulls, to sending out their engineer on a 9 hour round trip drive to fix a minor problem - they are literally in a different league to everyone else that quoted us. Highly recommended, they’re the best out there.

We live in a very rural area in West Wales and as we struggled to get quotes from any local companies we looked further afield and found Skylar Solar and another company, both with 5 star reviews. We wanted a 6kw system with a 6kw battery and after getting quotes we discovered that although the other company gave us a better price, there were lots of extras to add on. The price from Skylar Solar included absolutely everything so we went ahead and the installation was in December. The installation crew worked really hard through some very cold and icy weather and although there were a few teething problems at the start, these were successfully resolved. The system is excellent and produces much more than we expected, the best thing we have ever done. We would definitely recommend Skylar Solar who are a great company to deal with. Skylar Solar were great from start to finish. Having checked out 7 diferent companies for the instalation Skylar proved to be the best value offering on the market with acreditation from all the major bodies including being approved by WHICH! The buying process was easy and unpreasured and the instalation was surveyed and a date set within days. The team is very efficient right from the sales team to the instalation team and the after care team. Our instalation was completed in a day and the installers were punctual, hard working and explained everything in a way which even a layman like me could understand. Post instalation was also very efficient, Devon and Payton couldn't have been more helpfull and i had all my certification in a matter of days. All round it was a very pleasant journey dealing with Skylar.

The team was super efficient. From first quotation to completion of work only took 4 weeks. I had a few teething problems with the system, but Rob came round within days to sort it out. The after sales service is very reassuring, especially for a technophobe like myself.

Spoke to several installers before going with Skylar Solar. It seems like the wild west out there in this emerging industry, with a mix of some sharp sales practices by other companies and others who frankly just don't seem like they can be bothered. Skylar were helpful from the start. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive either. They were responsive and were able to coherently explain how the product works and how the installation process would work. They were very accommodating with my timetable and when they ran out of light as the job took slightly longer than expected, they promptly re-arranged to come back and finish the job only a couple of days later. Devon has been really great throughout, coordinating the fitting and the guys were neat and tidy on site. I'm glad I went with Sklyar and would recommend doing your research before appointing an installer. Panels look smart and we now have free electricity. What's not to like?!

Great team all through the process. The installation guys arrived as scheduled and battled through wet weather to complete the process a big thank you to Ant, Connor and Harry. Rob commissioned the system and double checked everything the next day. Throughout office manager Devon has monitored progress and been on top of everything. The Hyundai panels look great and in even mid winter generating several KWh of power each day.

Rob at Skylar sorted an extra battery for my installation tonight having spent all day on the road but didn't want to let me down just before Christmas, so commenced the install 6pm and departed mid evening first making sure I had no outstanding queries about my new solar install, full marks to skylar solar for going the extra mile in the cold wet weather we are currently enduring.

I found this company through personal recommendation. Their service and communication was excellent all through the installation. So far I am very pleased and everything is working well.

Great system and very happy with it - sales were good, installation was ok if a little messy, Scaffolders used (not their fault) left great holes in the wall we had to fill in ourselves. Just lose one star for not supplying a bird netting we had asked for and not replying to a potential problem we mentioned. So... 6 months ago we thought let’s get solar panels normal process on purchasing get 3 quotes and select the best .....8 companies and quotes later we still could not choose .From quotes 10 k more than others to people who thought they could sell snow to Eskimo’s.Some companies made the whole process extremely complicated baffle with bullXxx . Until we came across you guys .You made it all sound so simple and you all made it so simple from start to finish. Original price and survey done over the phone we thought after all our other dealings with all the other companies it can’t be right ,it’s going to go wrong .Pleased to say it did not . Attention to detail on install and what the customer wants within reason was fantastic . With the professionalism showed at all contact points during the purchase and installation I have no reservations that if we need aftercare service we will have no worries. From someone who does not review often as most service providers fall well short of my expectations .However you all exceeded our expectations.Thank you .

I would like to share my experience with Skylar Solar (it’s a bit long but there is a lot to talk about), being new to solar I gathered many quotes and dealt with many companies and I have to say the whole package that Skylar offer was by far the best. From the start I spoke to Tom very pleasant no pressure no long winded call, he called back when he’s said he would, Very impressed and the price was very competitive. Then after receiving my pack I did the research on the panels, inverter & battery. My pack had Hyundai panels (25 year peak performance and manufacturing guarantee) and growatt inverter and battery all have very good reviews out there if you want to look for yourself (Panels, inverter and batteries used a lot in Australia). After deciding Skylar was the company for me I then spoke with Harry to go to the next stage, any questions I had was answered, again very impressed and I was amazed that I wasn’t required to paying ANYTHING until the job was completed. Installation day, everything (apart from the inverter, which I was told about ahead of time as the was a supply issue) delivered on the morning diligently ready for the day ahead. I am a nightmare to deal with when it comes to neatness and I’m borderline OCD (my wife and kids say I am OCD) so Nathan and Olly turned up I explained my nature and how I like everything just so and they put me at ease straight away with their professionalism and they quite simply know there stuff, nothing was too much trouble. They were clean and tidy polite and efficient, installation started about 8:30 and completed by about 15:30. Nathan & Olly cleaned up everything behind them and left everything as they found it absolutely spot on and a credit to the company. As mentioned before the inverter was delayed (only by about a week) but this was fully communicated and not an issue, we then had Matt pop round to fit the inverter (a bit of a theme here) Matt was very professional and fitted the inverter in no time then set up and went through the software associated with Growatt all very smooth and easy. I wouldn’t hesitate to use Skylar again and I would recommend them to anyone. If I would give 6*’s If could, thank you for making the whole experience a pleasure.

Rob and his team did a great job, there were a couple of technical challenges along the way, but they sorted it promptly, which is all you can ask... great guys and the software for the battery control is reasonably straight forward to use. I'm surprised daily how much energy the panels manage to generate, it's a great system and a great service, thanks all

An excellent company, very professional. The company responded quickly and provided a competitive quote, answered all of my questions and informed as to what would happen when. With the solar panels and battery system installed our energy bills were reduced by £90 a month. I would recommend this company and their products without hesitation.

I cannot recommend Skylar Solar highly enough. From start to finished they were very professional. Both Mia and Harry in sales were excellent - they were very patient with all my questions and queries. Install was done within a few weeks of accepting the quote. It was a long day to install the panels and batteries, but the guys stayed late until it was all done. Luke was the lead installer (who was very knowledgeable) and Rob (the owner) was also on site for the installation. In total I had 18 panels and two batteries.

We are thrilled with the work done by Skylar. Harry was very helpful and knowledgeable, considering the boom in solar panels being installed nationwide, we always had very quick responses. His quotes were easy to understand and despite us going back with a lot of questions, he was always really polite and helpful. Then Luke came as our fitter. Luke was brilliant, really efficient and tidy. Changes to the plan (adding more panels/optimisers for example) were not a problem to him at all. He handled a tricky conversation with a neighbour very well. Throughout the installation process we were glad we had gone with Skylar. They completed all of the paperwork for us to be registered quickly and kept us well informed. From first contact (filling out my details on their website) until completing the install was under a month. When you consider how busy this industry is currently, that’s fantastic!

After researching all of the solar panel installers in the wider area, we decided to reach out to Skylar for a survey and quote. Very happy with our 12kw system install with 3 batteries. The team were helpful in advising on system and navigated the current supply issues very well we had to amend our initial system they offered solutions and were so accommodating. Lovely skilful team would definitely recommend they go out of the way for customers answering the phone out of hours to answer questions when we were getting use to the system. Service is so much more personable than some of the bigger players.

Fitted a 6kw PV system with battery and the solar panel installer (Robin) was very helpful and explained everything that he was doing. The paperwork was important and now I can export my extra solar energy back to the grid and more savings! Had the best price, blew me away couldn't say no to it, got 16 high output panels with 9kw storage batteries and a hybrid 6kw inverter. The installation was fantastic and faultless, attention to detail was brilliant and the installers Jack was really friendly. Definitely recommend them. Call them and speak to Harry, hope this helps you decide. They even applied for the G99 license on my behalf 1st to make sure it would run smoothly. All I had to do was to sit back and pay at the end. Easy as pie.

We had a solar panel system + battery installed by Skylar heating. The quote was well explained, installation was organised within a week and was done and dusted in about three hours on the day. Now we're enjoying reduced electricity bills and a greener state of mind. There were some typos in the G98 and EIC documents because of our difficult name but this issue was quickly rectified to our satisfaction. All in all I would recommend Skylar heating for a professional solar panel installation.

I just bought my first house that already had pre-existing solar panels on the roof that weren’t working. I phoned Skylar as I see them on checker trade who were more than happy to help. They took their time to answer any of my questions and explained to me how the system worked. They diagnosed the problem which was the inverter that had broken down. After a little bit of investigating we found out that the inverter was under warranty and was replaced at no extra cost. I can’t thank this company enough for being genuine and honest- there really isn’t enough people like this in the world!! THANKYOU !!

Fitting this thermodynamic system has been a very happy experience. Everyone I had contact with was polite and well informed. Darren, the fitter, and his mate were punctual neat and tidy. When they left all I had to do was turn off my oil water heating. It's 3 months now and I have had no shortage of piping hot water. Well done Robert and yes any visitors get the full tour with me grinning ear to ear.

Had an initial meeting a little while ago but recently decided to have a new boiler as we couldn't even remember how old ours was. Very prompt date which suited us. The 2 men who came were quick, courteous and very neat. A pleasure to have in the house. All done in 6 hours together with a new WiFi thermostat. Would recommend highly.
