We had a 9.3kW solar array plus two inverters and two 45kWh batteries installed. From start to finish they had it organised, scaffolding arranged, lovely electricians who did a great job on quite a complex building, and then roofers who couldn't have been more professional and friendly. Not only that but the quote was very good value as it came through the Switch Together scheme. Very highly recommended.

My solar inverter failed and, unfortunately, the warranty replacement process ended up taking much longer than expected. The overall resolution took close to three months, which was frustrating and resulted in a lengthy period without the system operating as it should. That said, I want to recognise the efforts of the Green Energy Solar staff throughout the process. Shannon, Ceri-Ann, Gareth and the engineers I dealt with were always polite, professional and genuinely tried to help move things forward. Once senior management became involved, the case was reviewed, communication improved, and the matter was brought to a satisfactory conclusion. The delays appeared to be largely related to the replacement equipment and warranty process rather than the attitude of the GES team themselves. My system is now back up and running correctly, and Green Energy Solar also provided a goodwill gesture in recognition of the inconvenience caused. Overall, the customer service from the staff was very good, but the warranty journey was longer and more difficult than it should have been, which is why I'm giving 4 rather than 5 stars.

Had a Tesla Powerwall installed, good communication with the company and ensured we had the right product for what we wanted. Installation was very good, very tidy job from Gethin and happy with the product. The App is very easy to use.

Solar panels (SW roof), battery and inverter installed and working for 13 months with night off peak tarrif and I am very pleased with reduced monthly bills. My electricity bill for the last 2 months is zero and profit from solar system export to grid enough to pay my gas bills and today my account is still in credit £19. I maybe wish I had installed more battery capacity to further reduce winter bills using night off peak tarrif. I am a happy customer.

Amazing service and communications from GES. We've had 8 panels installed with inverter and battery. Everything was handled very smoothly from the initial contact and general survey where the desktop team thought i'd get 10 panels on the roof. John came out to do the home survey and was brilliant in explaining where everything should go and why (only because we wanted the batteries on the back of the house). Fully explained how things would work and the timeframe for getting it installed. Scaffolding went up on Day 1 and then the panel installers (Luke and Jack) arrived who were fantastic and explained the installation and also had recommendations on the best placing of the panels as this differed from the desktop survey. Everything went smoothly and then the batteries and inverter were installed and connections made inside and outside, everything was then cleaned and tidied up. Would definitely recommend GES to anyone wanting panels installed. One quick thing to watch out for. The scaffolding company used are a bit clumsy and I have found 3 broken roof tiles on my single storey kitchen extension. Have spoken with GES and they have assured me that their roofer will come out and replace the broken tiles and make everything good again. Very happy with the outcome.

Just had 8 panels & battery installed via Switch Together scheme. All working well. Customer service very good. Easy to ask questions and quick response times. The guys installing the electrics talked me through what they were doing and where the cables/boxes were going. The technical visit (from switch together) at the start of the process was useful - having a non salesperson come out & talk through where everything would go & give me reassurance re my roof was what I was looking for.

The team from Green Energy Solar were professional, friendly and hard working and delivered a great solar power system for our house. They took time to explain what was the best battery for us given the limited space and even repeated a survey as we needed more advice. Luke and the roofing team were great and we are very happy with the result. Gethin was our electrician and worked long hours over two days to complete the installation. We had a few issues with the scaffolding contractor, which I know GES have addressed, but the team from GES made up and exceeded expectations. I am now enjoying being greener and watching the imports and exports on the app. Thanks GES for all your help and advice.

Green Energy Solar Bottom line first - GES delivered a great installation of a 13 panel solar system combined with a Tesla Powerwall 3 whole home battery backup plus a Tesla EV charger. We decided to installation a solar electric generation system at the start of 2026 and after some research obtained 6 outline quotes from a variety of installers in South West England. The outline quotes were varied in both scale and cost. There is quite a lot of high pressure selling in the solar generation sector and we declined any business employing such tactics. Our primary goal was to be self-sufficient in power supply with enough backup in the event of a multi-hour power cut. Selling excess power to the Grid was a minor issue. Although we do not have an EV we regarded having a charger as useful in the event that we move at some point in the future. Pre-sale. Part of the attraction of choosing Green Energy Solar - the furthest from us, based in Cardiff when we are in East Devon - was the ability of a sensible dialogue about our requirements and how best they could be met. Two factors stood out for us. First they are an Octopus Trusted Partner - Octopus being our energy supplier. Secondly they are a Tesla Powerwall premium installer. Planning. Installers need to conduct an on-site survey to make sure they meet all the formal requirements for an installation. This technical survey is important and results in getting all the equipment sited in the best places on your property. The man doing our survey was very diligent. Scaffolding. We needed scaffold for both front and back of our house. Getting this done dictates when an installation can be carried out. Scaffolding businesses can be vague about dates, especially once the solar installation is complete and you want the scaffolding removed asap. We’ve had several promised dates for removal and nothing happens. Ensure that you get a firm date for dismantling. Installation. Our system required 2 days for the work to be carried out. The first day was to complete all the electrical work - Powerwall, EV charger, cabling for the panels, connection to the meter, etc. The second day was for the roof supports for the panels to be fitted, the panels mounted and connected to the Powerwall, and testing of the complete system. Handover. When the panels had been installed the fitters gave us a broad rundown of how everything works, what all the switches, functions of the Powerwall, etc., plus some documentation. Subsequently GES sent a comprehensive set of documents as downloadable PDFs including the necessary certificates, warranties, and other documents that one needs to keep for the future. They have a customer services team if you need help with anything that you cannot find in the supplied documents. People. Salesman - Paul Glen, Surveyor - Martin Lewis, and the installer team all helpful and knowledgeable. Staff at Cardiff are friendly and keen to help ensure the work is a success as well as sorting out any issues that may arise. Cost & Payback. We didn’t aim for the cheapest solution. However, the difference between lowest and highest cost wasn’t huge in relation to the projected payback timescale. The biggest issue is getting the best tariffs for your needs. GES, being an Octopus Trusted Partner suggested tariffs that best met our objectives. Getting Octopus Energy to switch to these is our main concern. Conclusion. If you are in South Wales or South West England you should get a quote from GES. You will probably like what they can offer.

From the first contact to completion of the work they have done exactly what they said they would, with everything done to schedule. Their communication has been great, everyone I interacted with was very friendly and professional and they did a great job. They were very competitive on price and I am immediately seeing the benefits of solar and battery storage. I highly recommend Green Energy Solar - thank you for doing a great job 👍

We are delighted with our solar panels and GES have been really easy to deal with through the whole process. They are quick to respond to queries, answer the phone quickly and they are real people so it's easy to solve any queries and everyone I have spoken to has been friendly and helpful. The installation was completed in a day and the guys worked so hard in very hot weather. They talked us through the app at the end ensuring we were set up understood how everything worked and left the site tidy. It was a real pleasure dealing with this company

Sent a basic quote request 4 days ago - zero reply. Telephoned the office and told they were just now looking at the email but its not work they are able to do (very basic socket update and slight alteration to the fuse box). I appreciate companies get many emails but I cannot help but think had I not phoned goodness how many more days I would have waited for a reply. Not impressed especially as they have an automatic email response which says : "Thank you for reaching out to us! We have received your message and will get back to you shortly. Our team is reviewing your request and will contact you within 48 hours." Poor show!

Where to start. The sales with Victoria Dawney straight honest and very mhelpful. The Surveyour professional truthfull, knowledgable with no rubbish reply. The Office staff very professional, never kept waiting always came back with the answer in a very timely mannor always polite efficient and help, this was time after time not a one off have to say service like has never been given for many years by companies. One very import thing they do for you is get you registered for acceptance for transfer of your excess power to the national grid and get the certificate before instalation so the wait to get paid for the export of electricity power is reduced to a minimum period. The support does not finish once instalation has been done they are there to answer any queries and give help. The Installers the team that came were excellent, professional worked hard in tempratures of 30 degrees did not stop once got the job done and the standard of workmanship you could only mark as 100%, we were shocked when they tidied and clean up bnefore leaving. They spent time throughout the installation to tell us what was happening and we were without power in all that time for only 15 minutes, also we are not technical so went through the system very slowly with us to firstly set it up and then slowly so we could come to terms with how to check and operate the system. All completed in one day for 12 solar panels two batteries and one inverter all quality products and fitments. Now to put light on my comments, I know people who have had solar instalation for the same amount of panels that took three days, had to arrange with the National Grid for the paperwork to export their excess electricity and twelve weeks on still do not have a National Grid certificate to be paid for the export of electricity which the National Grid are getting free. Was their system cheaper than ours which left them to do all the work most definatley not, as they old saying goes "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" in their cases they did not get the same as what I paid for or the service. My conclusion check out Green Energy Solar First then look elseware for peace of mind you have the right company and are making the right decision for you but more importantly you will be able to judge like for like against the best Green Energy Solar.

From start to finish - this company is totally professional, efficient and friendly! They really know the solar business and guided us through every step of the process. Company installed 28 panels 2 Fox batteries, a zappi car charger and an eddi diverter. The service provided was fantastic. The team are very knowledgable and informative about the options available and provided various quotes for review. They were quite keen in installing 480w panels instead of the 510w panels i'd asked to be quoted. They did agree to quote for the larger panels, their site survey stated the larger wouldn't fit due to MCS regulations and so I conceded to the 480W. Post installation it looks like the 510W would have fit within regulation but it would have been close. This is the only reason ive not given 5 stars. Once all agreed the installation was done over 3 days by a great team over the hottest week of the year. The team were courteous and diligent the entire time and coordinated with a separate heat pump installer to ensure a neat collaborative installation. The post installation handover pack is comprehensive and informative. All in all I can highly recommend the company to anyone looking at a solar project

I have recently had a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery system installed at my property by GES. The whole process from initial inquiry to site visits and installation went smoothly and according to plan. The Installer worked steadily and set up a neat installation, cleared up the resultant mess, set up my mobile with the Tesla app and ran me through the layout and operation of the system. I chose GES due to their professionalism, excellent advice and the fact that they are MCS accredited for both battery and solar panel installations, something other companies don't have.

Great experience overall. Clearly knew their stuff, clear communication throughout and we always knew the next step. Installation was great, they were considerate and efficient. Offered to give us a full demonstration of the associated app as well as the technical details. Courtesy call afterwards to check everything was okay. Great service, would recommend!

To installation team, who worked with me in finding solutions to obscuring internal wiring. Electricians, were friendly, efficient, clean and tidy.

From the initial contact, the service fron Green Energy Solar was very professional yet friendly! The price was competative. Gethin, the electrician was courteous and very efficient! He did a very professional and tidy job of all the electrical installations! Luke and Jack arrived soon after Gethin had finished, and they also did a very efficient and tidy installation of the solar panels! I really cannot fault anything regarding the service and installation of our solar panels!!!! If you are looking to have solar panels, do not hesitate to contact this company, I cannot recommend them highly enough! A*****

We had six 470W AIKO solar panels installed with an EcoFlow PowerOcean hybrid inverter, 4.8kWh battery, Tigo optimisers on every panel and bird protection mesh. The AIKO panels are genuinely premium products and therefore I would consider the price I paid reasonable. So far, the system has exceeded generation expectations, generating 407.64 kWh in May (vs 312 kWh estimated) and 393.74 kWh in June (vs 317 kWh estimated). Unfortunately, this performance has not been reflected in cost savings as the PowerFlow system cannot be intelligently managed by Octopus, despite Green Energy Solars assurances. Octopus has confirmed that it can only monitor the systems via their Kraken API. This means that we have seen a lot of solar energy exported at low prices and our home then pulling from the grid when more expensive. I have been manually tinkering with automations but they do not seem to activate as expected - though this is an issue with EcoFlow products rather than Green Energy. At current 62-72% efficiency, it will take a lot longer than the 6/7 years suggested before we are in profit. It was likely that we might never see a return at this property! My wife and I found sales to be a little pushy - although this was the case with all installers. Additionally, communication from the office was somewhat poor - I asked to be quoted for/ my property to be assed for additional panels to be added to my single storey extension. This was never picked up. It will now be more expensive to add additional panels independently as labour is the most expensive part; Installation was quick and tidy and all workers were polite and courteous. However, scaffolding remained at my property for far too long - I will never understand why scaffolders think they can use other people's property as a storage site. Green Energy did not follow up on my requests to get it removed quickly. In hindsight, I would've liked to have been offered black/ anthracite cable trunking options. The white installed does not blend into my property and is an eyesore. To round off, Green Energy Solar are a legitimate business and offering premium products at competitive prices. However, there are plenty of other similar installers out there so I would recommend to shop around. I'm not sure that I would approach them again to upgrade my system with additional panels and batteries.

Perfect from start to finish, I’m happy to recommend these this fast, responsive and professional solar installation company. In a world of sharks, this company demonstrates how things should be; recommended and approved by both Tesla and Octopus GES is highly professional, reactive and friendly. We had solar panels and a battery system installed in our garage. GES were friendly and highly professional from our first sales visit that never pressurised and tended to under-specify and under-promise and gave us a range of options from the cheapest to the most expensive. The survey and install were delivered seamlessly, neatly, and highly professionally and was completed in less than two days. The system is exactly what we hoped. It is top quality and rated as about the best there is on the market. The only problem: I am now obsessed with turning off lights, dryers to save pennies on my now minuscule electricity bill. We are waiting to complete the feed-in paperwork and then everything will be complete.

From the very first meeting with Victoria, where she explained everything to us and did the initial panel planning, the whole process has been very smooth and professional. The installation was done very quickly, cleanly and expertly! Efficient company , well organised. Teams of hard working electricians, panel fitters and scaffolders involved. We had an Ecoflow system and are just getting used to it. Nice user App with perhaps too many features though to fully understand for the novice. Looking forward to big savings, less energy dependence and feeling pretty smug tbh!

The whole process was managed efficiently and the teams that carried out the fitting over 3 days were excellent. We were very impressed with each team's positive work ethic and the cheerful approach to overcoming the issue that were presented to them in the installation. The system is working to our full satisfaction and, where we have had questions, the support team have been quick to respond. This project has fully met our expectations.

When I queried whether my solar system was running at full export capacity, the team went above and beyond, they submitted a new application to the grid, got it approved, and upgraded my inverter to full 5kW export completely free of charge. The three engineers who carried out the work were absolutely lovely—friendly, professional, and incredibly respectful throughout. They took great care while working in our home and made sure everything was left spotless once the job was done, which we really appreciated. It’s not often you come across a team that combines such high-quality workmanship with genuine courtesy. A big thank you to them—we couldn’t be happier with the service!

Had a system installed just over a month ago, in-roof panels with new roof and battery + gateway, really happy with the finish, everything seems to work, the installers, Billy, Jack & Lee all very friendly and easy to talk to if needed! Kind of amazed how quick the actual solar & battery part was, all done within 2 days an and that was with weather working against them. Smaller semi detached house so not the biggest roof but 3 sides all neatly installed! Green Energy arranged scaffolding/skips and roofers for the new roof, the roofers they used were very good, really neat job and approachable. All documentation, MCS certificates and DNO within around 2 weeks, MCS certificates were quick, it was the DNO part that took a bit longer but even so, to me it seemed very quick. Initial phone conversation gave me confidence as the questions I asked they could answer which is strangely refreshing after a few companies I contacted, I can't remember the guys name but he seemed genuinely interested in green renewable energy which was a welcome change from being sold 'investments' from some companies. Hopefully will have no issues going forward but feel confident after the experience that it will be sorted! One thing I will say, I'm not sure we still need sales people in 2026, the chap that came around after my initial phone call was very friendly, clearly a sales person, but seemed to have little knowledge and way off on some estimations of pricing, also seemed unable to use the quoting system correctly. It felt a bit car salesman or double glazing to me, again the guy was very friendly, maybe gives confidence if your not sure but when you going in knowing what you want it felt like an unnecessary part of the process.

We've now had our solar and battery set up for a couple of months now and really pleased with the ecoflow system that green solar energy installed. I wish this company every success in the future as they deserve this 5 star review. Best regards Mark and Hillary

We had our solar panels, battery and inverter fitted by Green Energy Solar, based in Cardiff, South Wales this week. Firstly, Sam from the sales team was very helpful and did not put any pressure on us to buy the products, which was different from many other solar energy companies we had initially engaged with for quotes. It was daunting to invest in a technology that was generally unfamiliar to us and the wider public, until we spoke to [Green Energy Solar] about their range of products. The scaffolding was erected a few days before the installation with good communication from both the scaffolding team and Green Energy Solar (GES). The GES installation team were always, polite, considerate and respectful of our home and answered questions and explained the different aspects of our new system. When we carried out our ‘due diligence’ of GES we found the website intuitive to use with a helpful podcast clear guides and reviews (which we also checked from three independent websites). We felt that ultimately, GES can only be as good as the team that represents it. We were impressed with the polite manner of all the installation team, removing all the packaging and making sure there was no mess left inside or outside our property. It was reassuring to know that our personal values were baked into the values of this great company. The complete installation accomplished in one day along with a tuition of how to understand the related software. Thank you

A Day in The Life of A Solar Team! A team of three arrived at my house on time at 9:30 and got straight to work. Lee started on the roof, while Jack the electrician and his nearly-qualified trainee Billy started by getting the new Tesla Powerwall battery round to the back of the house ready for installation. It’s really heavy, but with a specialist trolley it was up on the wall in no time. We quickly sorted out how the cables that runs through my sitting room would be carried out, and the finished result is barely visible. Lee soon had the solar panel brackets and rails fitted on the roof, then it was time for the team to work together and lift the panels onto the top of the scaffolding and fit them in place. Wiring from the panels was then neatly run through the loft space and down the back wall in a small round conduit in the colour of your choice. (Sorry, black or white)! Billy then disappeared under the stairs where he remained until the Gateway was neatly connected to the incoming main. Meanwhile, Jack got on with the other end of the cables and wired them into the Powerwall, while Lee made a neat job of fitting the bird protection under the solar panels. When the wiring was finished, the power was turned back on, but the Powerwall refused to wake up. After a thorough check of the electrical connections, no fault was found (of course), so a call was made to the support team at Tesla, who informed us that we needed to carry out a software update. 🙄 This was something Jack had never seen before even though he had installed many of them previously. Despite a fast broadband speed it still took quite a long time to install, but as soon as it did the Powerwall sprung into life, and everything was working as it should. After a thorough run through with me of how it all works, they finally left at 5:30 for their long journey home. A friendly, hard-working bunch of lads who did a very neat and tidy job combined with first class electrical work. Recommended!

Good Solar and battery installation. GES were outstanding from start to finish. Before, during and after the installation they provided sound advice and were able to answer my questions. Apart from the first scaffolding company letting them down they worked hard to re-schedule and it all went like clockwork. Tidy and pleasant team of guys who carried out the work.

We had 16 solar panels with a 10k battery and 5k inverter setup installed by Green Energy this week and the whole process has been professional and smooth from start to finish. Shay, Luke and Dave were our installers on the day and were polite, friendly and informative, checking we were happy with everything before they left. They didn’t stop working all day and left everything clean and tidy. Customer support from the office has been excellent so far and the app is very easy to use and really helpful, showing your solar generation and stored energy clearly, allowing you to prioritise usage of high burden appliances more cost effectively. We are really pleased with the service from Green Energy Solutions and the price of our installation was extremely competitive. We can highly recommend.

Following an excellent installation of 14 panels and a storage battery last year, we accepted an offer this year of an additional 2nd battery at a greatly reduced price. The installation was well -organised and matched our previous good experience. We would highly recommend this company.

Absolutely delighted with the service and high standard of work from Joel, Steve and the Green Energy Solar team! From initial enquiry through to technical installation this company has been super impressive. We wanted to maximise our home battery storage and having not had the best experience with our previous solar installation we found Green Enegy Solar through Telsa as they are authorised Telsa installers. We spoke to John on the phone initially who gave us immediate confidence that this company knew what they were doing and how to do it properly. We ended up getting a couple of other quotes and Green Energy Solar were competitive with their pricing. Installation was completed over two consecutive days by Joel and Steve who were absolutely superb! Professional, neat, tidy and knew what they were doing inside out. They worked non stop for the two days with what was an awkward cable routing from the front of house in the garage all the way to the back of the house to site the batteries on an external wall as we had asked. We were so happy with how neat tidy the electrics and installation all was. So refreshing after the sloppy installation that our previous installer had left. Green Energy Solar rectified all the issues and tidied up our whole battery electrics set up as well as adding the battery expansion units. We couldn't be any happier and massive thank you to John, Joel and Steve. We wouldn't look any further for any future solar, home battery work. I had solar panels with batteries installed. The company handled this in a very timely manner. I did not feel pressured to buy and all my questions were answered promptly. Scaffolding was erected one day and panels installed the next. The fitters arrived at 8am and were done by early pm. They were very engaging whilst here answering question and explaining things. We’ve recently had solar installed by Green Energy Solar and the whole experience has been brilliant from start to finish. The planning process was clear and straightforward, communication was spot on throughout, and everything happened exactly when they said it would. A really smooth process. Luke, Dave and Shea were fantastic on the install – professional, friendly and clearly knew their stuff. The scaffold team were lovely too. We were genuinely astonished at how quickly everything went up, and the quality of the work is excellent. It’s all been running perfectly with zero issues. Everyone we dealt with in the office was great as well – responsive, helpful and patient with questions. One thing that really stood out was that right at the start when we were getting quotes, GES made us aware of the Development Bank of Wales Green Homes Wales loan scheme. That’s helped us massively and we wouldn’t have known about it without them flagging it. It's also really reassuring that they have their own team and don't sub the work out to contractors. I had a Tesla Powerwall and expansion pack installed by Green Energy Solar and I’m very happy with the whole experience. I contacted three companies for comparative quotes, but they were the only ones who sent someone out almost immediately to discuss the requirements and carry out a basic site survey. That made a big difference from the start. They took only a nominal deposit, communication throughout was excellent, and the installation was completed exactly as scheduled. The installation team were professional, tidy, and clearly knew what they were doing. Everything was left in perfect order, and they took the time to explain exactly what had been done and how the system operates. Very professional operation from initial bookings right through to fixing broken tiles after scaffolding was gone. Solar installation was swift and the advice given prior to installation was honest and technically correct. Jack, Rhys and Billy worked like troopers late into the evening to finish when promised they were very very tidy. 3 months into operation all is good and working well.

These guys were fantastic compared to the previous installers a year prior, I searched for a reputable and reliable company to finish the remainder install for battery and solar. At the offset their professionalism and detailed approach was heads and shoulders above prior company. These aren't even my local company but with the ratings and detailed communication regarding my issues and what I wanted installed it showed immediately the difference in calibre of this company compared to my local installers. Job was completed in a fast efficient time, with respect for my property and surroundings. That may sound silly, however prior company broke garden lights, left rubbish and nails in a garden where 4 kids play, and didn't even do a full handover. So the service Green Energy Solar provided was top notch and even though they aren't my local supplier they were worth utilising if you want a professional installation from start to finish. This isn't just about the engineers on site but the back office management too and aftercare. All fantastic job guys well done! Wish we had yourselves for the first installment. Toby

Green Energy Solar gave been excellent in working with me to get a joint date for the fit. When the guys arrived on the day they were exceptionally polite, neat and helpful . Most importantly they carried out an excellent installation and took the time at the end of a long day to walk me through all the documents, apps etc. They even washed down the skylight! Very glad we went with them and would recommend them to anyone.

Have just had a solar panel installation fitted by Green Energy Solar, we are extremely pleased with the results. We had a detailed survey carried out by their engineer where our options were clearly defined. Then the installation began with the scaffolding up for less that a week and the installation taking 1 day. Importantly we were told when the operatives would arrive to start work and they did. All the access needed was outside the house and the operatives were extremely professional. The final part of the installation involved us as customers getting to know the system and how to manipulate it to get the best economic advantage. The office based technical liaison support was first class, responding immediately to any email query that we sent through. The whole process was delivered seamlessly and professionally. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Green Energy Solar.

I had a 19 panel solar system with Tesla power wall installed 2 months ago. I was impressed by how easy it was to contact the company for advice and to discuss my requirements. Their software enabled me to compare different hardware set ups and manufacturer's equipment and prices. Joel came out to do the survey and I liked his suggestions for the system and hiding the cabling. I had previously had another quote and survey and felt that Green Energy Solar and Joel were more knowledgeable and experienced. ( And the quote was better) The actual installation was done smoothly and I ( and people who I've shown the system to) think the cable runs are exceptionally neat and well thought out. The paper work has taken a lot longer than expected to come through but this is not the company's fault and calls to Green Energy to chase it up have been quickly answered and dealt with. I am happy to recommend this company.

Avoid – Felt More Like a Sales Pitch Than a Professional Consultation I had a very poor experience with Green Energy Solar (GES). Andy came to my home to discuss a solar installation but arrived unprepared and came across more like a pushy, sleazy salesperson than a knowledgeable energy consultant. It didn’t instill confidence from the start. The quote I received from GES was noticeably more expensive than others I’d already received from more established companies with a longer track record. When I mentioned that I had been accepted onto the Solar Together scheme, Andy claimed that GES handled installations for the scheme in my area and offered to undercut the price if I went directly through him. This felt very off — like he was trying to bypass an official route for personal gain. I’m not sure if this is just a dodgy salesperson or a reflection of the company as a whole, but either way, I would strongly advise others to proceed with caution. The whole interaction left me questioning their integrity and professionalism.

Delighted with our installation, completed in a day it was done professionally and very neatly! GES upgraded my existing 5-panel system by adding an additional 4 panels, battery and changing the inverter. Nothing but praise for the installation team (Jack / Jordan / Billy) very professional and meticulous. Also credit to the wider company as communications throughout the process was excellent. GES aren't the cheapest, but it seems (so far) you get the quality that you pay for and they're promoting UK made equipment. Very pleased with my choice.

I thought I should share my after care experience with everyone. We had a 16 panel and battery install towards the end of last year. It was superb from planning through to the handover pack, with all the forms ready for us to get an export certificate for all the spare energy we now enjoy. A couple of weeks ago we noticed a dip in output on one set of panels, so notified the GES customer care dept by email. Within an hour they phoned back having remotely interogated the data from our system, and advised they were sending out Jordan to see us, who arrived quickly and diagnosed a faulty plug on the inverter pack ( a very rare issue by all accounts) and replaced it there and then. Jordan went through a check list, showing me all the readings he was taking on their engineering programme. A very reasuring experience giving us full confidence that GES looks after its customers post installation. The whole thing done and dusted before lunch time. A trully refreshing experience and we know our investment is being kept in tip top condition.

I decided to go with green energy solar after having an in depth consultation with Andy , whom was very knowledgeable about the products. I decided to go for twelve solar panels and a battery . Correspondence from the office was superb and met my needs on dates for installation. Scaffolding went up without a glitch and two days later my solar panels and battery were ready to install . The boys namely , Lee and Rhys (the roofers) , and electricians Jack and Billy were on site prompt at 8 am . They worked extremely hard to get the panels and battery up and running , very polite, explaining what the process was as was a new venture for me . I contacted GES after receiving other quotes for a comparison but mostly because of the 5 star reviews they had as a business and the after care and support they offer. I was not disappointed, with a day Andy came out to go through what solar panels meant for me and mapped out roughly the cost benefits and I instantly felt 'knowledgeable' and knew from that first meeting that GES were the company to use and that I was in safe hands. This was then followed with a visit from the surveyors Joel and Stuart who confirmed the number of panels I was quoted on were correct and the location of the panels were right. Before Joel and Stuart left I was given the install date which was only 2 weeks away so I was delighted. Installation was a dream, the team arrived promptly - the first day I had Billy, Joel and Stuart who installed the battery and inverter and the panels on the roof followed by the second day with Billy, Jack, Shea, Rhys, Jordan and Macca - both teams were fantastic, they ensured that I was aware of what was happening, they were more than respectful of taking care with my property and even replaced a few roof tiles that were missing or broken - it was an absolute delight to have the team at the property. They cleaned up everything on completion, even vacuuming the small hallway they had worked in when commissioning the panels. They took time to assist in loading the app onto my phone, went through how to use it and by the time they left I was thrilled with GES from my initial call to the end result of getting the panels installed. I have since also spoken to Harriet in the office a number of times who has patiently explained my next steps when using the app to charge the battery overnight and what to do when contacting my energy provider - extremely helpful and a joy to speak to. I would highly recommend anyone wanting to go through the solar panel process then use GES, I can' t recommend them enough - thank you GES!!

I decided to purchase a full solar system to help the environment and save some cash as the energy prices keeps going up. Bought the full system (Panels + Battery) and it's been a great experience. Andy and Jon explained the system nicely and helped me in choosing the appropriate system for my house. The installation team (Jack, Jordan and Billy) has been great too. They did an amazing job by installing the whole system in record time and answered all my questions professionally. They even helped me setting up the eco mobile app to monitor the system. Bought a solar + battery storage from green energy solar and from start to finish the process was seamless, John asked me a few questions to establish my usage and what I was looking for In order to pick the right battery and the correct amount of solar panels I needed in order for me to be independent rather than be relying on the grid. No hard sell, just the information pack for me to to read through and make my mind up. I shopped around and looked at what the difference was and what I was getting for my money and not only green energy solar prices where great value but amazing service came with it, they will explain everything to you and make sure you understand what your buying. It took two days to complete the installation and the engineers were amazing too, they did an amazing job and before they left they cleaned up and made sure they took all the rubbish with them. The product you installed is top notch, the installation was quick and very neatly done (I do most things myself and am very picky about other people's handy work, so for me to say it's neat, it really was). The install team on the day were very professional, all in company polo shirts, efficient, pleasant and incredibly tidy, cleaning up everything as they went. But it does not end there, the post install service they provide is incredible, they help to make sure you are on the best tariff with your energy provider, they monitor the equipment for you, we had an issue we knew nothing about, they called us up, came around, fixed the issue right there and then. Their commitment to monitor the installed equipment is real, they really do it. And whats even more incredible is the quote was comparable to the lower quotes we had from the other companies we got quotes from. From the time Jordan reviewed the property and provided a quote, followed by a visit by John on further consultation on the integration of additional microgeneration in the future, the comms with Shannon & Sanjay on the planning, right down to the installation day with Nick, Jack & team - it was great! I picked GES out of 6 quotes as they were the most price competitive, its a local company (this is important to me), the make + service length and guarantee of equipment was by far the best of the 6. The communication throughout the process was fast & efficient - both emails and phone calls. Everything was done as agreed, timely and efficiently. Everything was well explained and communicated. Everyone is very helpful. It was a great experience and we are enjoying our green energy. Thank you GES!

The installation was good, quick and professional service. The only disappointment has been that the sales team told us they'd support us make sure we were on the right tariff. We chased this up and was told someone would call us they never did. Eventually we worked out ourselves that we weren't actually exporting the excess produced energy as our tariff didn't support it and moving to one would take a few weeks to sort out. Consequently we've missed out on a few months of selling our excess electric, but not significant cost in the grand scheme of things. Would still recommend them, but make sure you are very clear about being on the right tariff. Speak to your energy provider if Green Energy don't support that.

After years of contemplating on getting solar panels, we finally decided to take the plunge. On the day, a team of four professionals (Jack, Nick, Lloyd and Josh) arrived in the morning. They worked tirelessly to get the job finished on the day in typical Welsh weather (wind and rain) which was impressive. The members of the team were very friendly and kept everything neat and tidy. On a sunny day, we have run entirely on power generated by the panels. Even on a cloudy day, we have needed very little power from the grid. Very pleased indeed!

Excellent, friendly, and professional service from the team at GES. We got a home visit from John, who explained everything we needed to know and provided a full quote there and then. Less than a month later (we applied for the local government solar grant for £1,000 towards the installation) our panels and battery were installed. Installation itself was done in half a day, and the site was left clean and tidy. Since then, we've had a second battery installed (just a half-hour to do!) and our electricity costs have plummeted to near zero!

A full installation of panels, battery and inverter, plus cabling and commissioning started at 9-15 and completed by 3-30. A great team, polite, efficient and very helpful, answered all my questions straight away, simple task for me to watch and enjoy the process. All told, a great service, which continues with back-up if required (hasn’t been needed though) and helpful and polite team, on site and in the office. Excellent performance all round.

During the first video call with John, he was very helpful in providing information to help me make an informed decision about what would be best for us. There was no sales pressure, it was a fact finding meeting for me to clarify and build on the information I read on many websites and gained from YouTube videos. From that initial meeting, we had a competitive quote and I was clear on what equipment would be installed. As further questions came to my mind about what we wanted and where to install it, John and his team were quick to reply and discuss this with me on the phone and with video calls. I had quotes from other companies, some were a little less but they contract out with installations, whereas GES is in-house. After looking into the product specification and warranties for them all, and from gaining a good feeling from my involvement with GES by then, I felt they were the best option for us. Communication has been good throughout, I was well informed of what to expect and when, and it was an easy process with online documents, agreements and providing the guarantees. You have to expect cables and trunking to be visible and they did very well to conceal as much of this as they could. The weather wasn’t ideal for outdoor working but the installation team clearly enjoyed working together and were very organised. Once installed, I was provided with a clear handover about the panels, inverter, battery, and EV charger. With support from the team and the additional information they provided me with, I have now set up an improved tariff with my supplier which gives me a greatly reduced price for electricity in the early hours, and also allows me to sell any excess back to them…a great feeling!

Look no further for battery installation works! I wanted to get a battery system for my Solar panels, I had a few prices already but was very impressed with the impartial advice given by John (and no hard sell). The team turned up and were very competent and put protective carpet covers where they worked and were very clean and tidy. Cable runs were sympathetically run in ducting and with a coat of paint will blend in. Following the installation John gave advice on potential savings to be made by moving utility supplier and charging at half price electricity in the wee small hours.

Fantastic team, really pleased I opted for them. I had a quote from Jordan to start of with who was very good in answering all my queries. I did some research into prices and I found that possibly GES was £500 -£1000 more than national companies, however the reviews and the friendliness of the team was what swayed me towards them and also that they are local as any issues can be sorted. The installation was done within 2 weeks of my quote and it was done all smoothly within a day. They even cleared up all the stuff and it was all explained to me. John has been great in terms of answering all my queries and very helpful with suggestions. Normally the export tariff takes upto 8 weeks to get done. What a great company! We had a really informative zoom call with John after our initial enquiry. Looking at google earth images, sun direction & recommending the best position for solar panels. Shortly after we received a comprehensive quote, explaining how things work & what we needed based on our actual energy consumption which John worked out from our bills. An installation date of was given for one month after placemrnt of the order. Scaffolding arrived on the agreed date and the installation took place on the date given. The installation team were amazing; polite, hard working and very professional. They started at 8 o'clock and didn't stop until 6 o'clock to ensure the job was finished. Both the panels on the roof and the electrics in the garage were completed to a very high standard. I cannot praise them too highly. If only all service providers were as good as Green Energy Solar.

Professional from start to finish! From my initial enquiry, John was incredibly attentive, personable and knowledgeable. There was never a hint of pressure selling, instead I was walked through a very informative process that left me with no question unanswered. Joel managed the installation with equal professionalism which reflected throughout the whole team. Great job, perfectly executed, real value for money. A 100% positive experience. Right the way from the initial call with John, through to install by Joel and the team, everything ran like clockwork and always with the customer first. On the phone, John took time to explain his background, the company ethos and how things would work if we decided to install with GES. He promised no heavy pressure sales and was true to his word, but he still took the time to respond very promptly to all the queries and questions I asked before deciding to go ahead. We were fortunate enough to be offered a cancellation slot. Everything was installed within 24 hours with scaffolding removed the following day. Joel and the team were hard working, efficient, tidy, professional and took the time to give us the information we needed on the day. The after install service has been spot on too. Handover pack received, minor queries continue to be answered very quickly and I have every confidence that if I have questions in the future, that GES will continue to deliver a high standard of service. I would recommend to everyone without reservation. This is a company doing everything right, where every interaction is a pleasure.

Excellent company - from initial chat to installation was just over a week. Tidy installation, no hidden costs, excellent team of lads who were well informed, turned up early(!) and got the job finished on the same day. Unlike the national installers who pretend to be 'local', these guys are indeed local and were several thousand pounds cheaper than the nearest competitor.

From first engagement to completion the work and employees were fantastic. Having received a hard sell from other companies, Green Solar’s approach was one of providing information and advice. The installation team were brilliant, they were clean and efficient in their work and also a super polite group whilst in our home. I would thoroughly recommend this company to anyone without hesitation.

I had a very positive experience from a professional team. My installation become complicated due to wishing for a re installation of an old system which unfortunately proved impossible because of poor storage of the solar panels. The explanations given were logical and clear not want I wanted to hear but delivered in a courteous way. The new installation was handled over a number of days including scafolders etc all members of staff were professional and got on with their respective job roles. The electrician's even assisted the alarm company with putting a new double socket Iwhere needed. Great service highly recommended.

We contacted John at Green Energy Solar less than a month ago. He was quick to respond and set up a zoom meeting to go through our requirements in great detail, answering the many many questions we had. From there, we received a competitive quote for a solar panel system tailored to our needs, and at no time were we pressured to use GES. Here we are, around a month since initial contact, and the system is already installed, and running well. The installation team were superb too. Very efficient, knowledgeable and professional. GES installed our solar panels just over a week ago , from our first consultation and discussions we felt very confident in their approach and details, Any queries or question were easily answered by John who we felt had a great knowledge to the product.and that was all backed up with confirmation emails. We were given a date and that date was set by the team. The installation team arrive on the day and went through what they were planning to do with a plan of the panels on the roof for us to confirm we were happy,the team were very friendly and knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the day of the progress. Great professional service from the start with a detailed explanation of options, the final price and respective components and products. No pressure selling or annoying repetitive follow ups. Paid a small deposit to secure an agreed installation date with a quick follow up site survey allowing the installation team to meet us in advance. Scaffolding team got in touch to confirm date for the scaffolding to go up and were very professional and friendly. Next working day the solar panels, batteries and inverter were installed and commissioned on same day. Full explanation of how it all works with all the relevant paperwork (MCS, DNO, manuals, warranties) received next day. Very professional, friendly team delivered a quick efficient solution. Highly recommend.

John and his team were fantastic all very professional and compationate completed a job for us that no other single company would take on they got us out of a problem in trying conditions that could have been far worse and cost a whole lot more if left much longer. From first contact all completed in four days can not praise them enough 10 out of 10.

Just want to say a massive thanks to all at Green Energy Solar for an excellent job. I had Solar and a battery fitted in under 3 weeks. From start to finish there was no pressure just facts and figures to help me make my own mind up. The work was done in a day it was neat and tidy. They were only in my attic 10 mins but they spent just as long making sure they covered my carpets before they went up. They even came back to fix some roof tiles they hadn’t broken. The system so far is fantastic and again they explained it all and couldn’t have been more helpful. I rarely leave reviews but these have been so good I wanted others to know as it can be so hard finding quality workmanship these days.

I cannot recommend Green Energy Solar enough. From the advice provided on the spec of equipment (PV and Batteries) required, to the installation and aftercare, GES have been faultless. The tech team where very knowledgeable with the hardware provided, and how best to utilise it for my home. The installation team were friendly and approachable, not to mention turning up on time and completing the tasks in line with their estimation for me to plan and work around my diary.

We had solar panels installed with GES early Dec 2022 and had a great experience throughout. John was very knowledgable and answered all questions thoroughly during our quote meeting. There was no pressure after the quote was given, so we had the time to look over other quotes and options before deciding. They were not the cheapest quote we got but they were the only company to engage with us on customising the system to what we wanted (the most solar panels that we could fit on our roof!). They were also happy to answer any questions we had regarding the contract before we signed. Joel and his team of electrical engineers were very polite and professional during the installation. They kept us up to date on everything that was happening, and they battled through the extreme cold snap we had! They even cleaned out our gutters since they were up there, which is great for us as our house is 3 stories at the back. They also alerted us to an issue with our fuse board which they then replaced for us (at an additional cost) a couple of days after finishing our solar installation. We did have an issue with our invertor not detecting the grid about 3 weeks after installation. Joel was very quick at responding to our email about it (got back to us the same day Saturday new year's eve) to see if it was something obvious but they did have to come out. They came out the following Friday and fixed the loose wire which was the cause, and we haven't had any issues since. Overall, very professional and trustworthy company who we would recommend. I'm sure we'll be getting back in touch to add more batteries and car charging point in the future.

John and the team provided a professional service from start to finish. John has a long background in the industry and a very good knowledge, he was very responsive to calls and emails and professional to deal with throughout. The Installation team (Channing electrical) were on time, clean and courteous and they did a proper job. We're pleased with the solar system and look forward to spring when the Sun comes out to see it in full action.

Recently (early Nov) had solar panels fitted with Green Energy Solar and I would highly recommend them. After a number of searches we decided to go with GES. John was extremely helpful from the outset with a detailed initial meeting to discuss our options. Quote was given straight away and then it was left for us to decide, no pressure, unlike other companies who used sale tactics. The system itself came out one of the top options for us with a flexible module system and higher rated solar panels than others. John was very willing to answer questions throughout the quote process so I could understand further what I was being offered and he was also very good at communicating throughout the process sorting out any issues. The only issues we had were with the scaffolding company and a very minor one where they had not let us know when they were arriving to erect the scaffolding and they arrived on a day when we weren't in so John quickly rearranged this. After installation we decided that we would like the power cut sockets installed and this was arranged and quickly installed. At present just waiting for the hand over documentation. The team who installed were brilliant, very knowledgeable and hardworking ensuring that the work was completed to the highest standard. A very trust worthy and reliable company who I am pleased I sourced. A bonus for me is that they are local too.
