Out of the blue I noticed a pool of water just outside our kitchen and then water dripping from the doorframe. Then I heard more water dripping upstairs. Went to investigate and saw water dripping from the loft hatch. I called our local plumber and he was on holiday. So googled emergency plumbers and came across MSJ Plumbing. It's always nerve wracking calling out a tradesperson you don't know or who hasn't been recommended. But they were great. They went into the loft and showed me a video of what was happening up there - basically lots of water spraying out of a pipe connected to the water tank. I was then sent an invoice. Being me I questioned it and they got the office to call me. I didn't want a nasty surprise at the end. So I knew exactly what I had to pay. It was fixed promptly and efficiently. The plumbers were both friendly and courteous, as was the lady at the end of the phone. So in the end, yes I'm several hundred pounds worse off, but I have a fixed pipe, no water cascading down the walls and peace of mind. Thank you so much. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again. Though fingers crossed I won't have to.
Stay away. You have been warned!! They are extortionate & Cowboys!!. Charged us nearly £1000, for less than 2 hours work. It was obvious the engineer stayed on site loitering about until the payment was made, chased up with phone calls from head office Intimidation tactics at its finest. Do not use this company. The reviews are likely fake. £69 call out charge no indication of time scales for repair so you are totally at their mercy.. Which they have NONE!! bear in mind I would normal carry out this kind of work myself at home it was not a 2 hour fix ... Felt very predatory, intimidating and forceful. They might fix the problem if you are lucky but you will need to take out a mortgage to pay for it.. There are cheaper and far better companies out there. Shocking that they call themselves plumbers.

Unbelievable price!! Never been charged such a ludicrous amount for a couple of simple jobs. Took them an hour and cost £660!!! Unreal. Avoid this company. One of the jobs was a broken tap which broke again a week later

We called MSJ Plumbing & Heating for an emergency issue at home, having a young family so we needed help straight away. They got back to us incredibly quickly and had someone out within the hour – couldn’t have asked for a faster response at such short notice. The plumber was polite, got straight to work, and fixed the problem we’d called them for efficiently. All in all, very grateful they were available and turned up so promptly when we were in a tight spot. Would recommend for urgent jobs!

Had a fault with my hot water system in Blandford Forum and MSJ Plumbing handled the water heater repair really well. The problem was diagnosed properly and fixed without any delay. Everything is running smoothly again and the service felt very professional.
The plumber Markus/Marcus was a friendly chap who explained what the issue was and what would be required to rectify it, no issue with the plumber at all. He sorted the leak and did a repair and was happy with his work. It did cost an extortionate amount, but I was aware of the hourly emergency rate before work was agreed so it wasn’t a surprise and I did agree to the terms (not much you can do when water is dripping through the ceiling), so something to be aware of. So 5/5 for the plumber and work done, 3/5 for the cost (for a non Sunday and not outside sociable hours, felt a bit steep), so 4/5 total.

Absolutely brilliant service from MSJ Plumbing & Drainage Ltd. We had been dealing with an ongoing leak from our shower for quite some time, and it had become a really stressful issue. A previous company had already attempted to fix it, but the problem was never properly resolved, and we were also left with water pressure complications that had clearly not been dealt with correctly. From the moment MSJ got involved, the difference was obvious. They were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to properly investigate the cause of the problem instead of just applying a quick fix. They explained everything clearly, which immediately gave us confidence that we were finally in the right hands. What impressed us most was how thorough they were. We had a blockage in our toilet, called my plumber couldn’t turn out as he was in holiday and i called MSJ and they sent out matt within 1 hour and very polite and professional finished the job quickly with a good price for emergency callout I would recommend them highly and use them again

Called this company about an issue with our toilet. On the phone we were told there would be a £49 call out fee which we agreed to When the plumber arrived they only took a few pictures and then quoted £549 to fix it. No actual repair work was carried out and they said they would have to leave it for now.We were then told to pay £104 for the visit which was confusing as nothing had been fixed. Overall this did not feel reasonable for what was done and was quite disappointing. I would suggest checking other options before using this service
Complete waste of time and effort , have a burst pipe , explained this over the initial call got told 45-90 minutes ( no issues ) , sent photos over to the ‘plumber ‘ who said he needed 2 people because it was a lead pipe , called him nearly 2 hours later ( kids in the background ) no where near me still has to get materials , waste of time , called the water board instead, just wish I hadn’t wasted my time waiting around for somebody who wasn’t even on the way

£599 per hour, minimum 1 hour plus 15% admin fee plus a £69 call out fee. Absolutely ridiculous. Dyno-Rod is doing the job for much much less with no call out fee. Avoid Response: Dyno-Rod came out with no call out fee. Assessed the problem then said they could fix it for around £200 but it’s a shared drain so Wessex Water would come out same day and do it for free. I was not given this information from you. The job took 10 minutes.

Stay away. They are extortionate. Charged us over £1000, drain wasn’t even cleared after this. Turned out that it was something our water company would have fixed for free. Engineer stayed on site until payment was made. Intimidation tactics at its finest. Do not use this company. The reviews are likely fake. £75 consultation fee and unnecessary use of camera. Felt very predatory.
MSJ plumbing promptly responded to our emergency call on Thursday evening as our boiler was leaking water. The fault necessitated a new boiler (ours was about 20 years old) and change of flue (which involved going on the roof). We were happy with the quotation (sent late Thursday) and the team worked all Friday and part of Saturday to complete the job. We were very pleased with the speed with which the problem was resolved and even more so to have our heating and hot water back! I’d recommend MSJ plumbing for all plumbing work but especially in an emergency as they are both prompt and reliable.

Called msj plumbing to fix my elderly mums tap, the plumbers name was Matt who was very understanding, professional and knowledgeable about the problem. I wasn’t there but Matt kept me informed by phone and sent me photos of the finished job. Very pleased with his work.
Terrible. Had an internal pipe blockage. Called them and they sent a different company. They charged £450 for one hour and did not clear blockage. Payment was required prior to leaving. Avoid
Charged me £400 to replace a tap, which took literally 20 minutes. Had no idea it would cost this much until they arrived at which point I would have had to pay a £69 callout charge for nothing anyways. Disappointed as this wasn't even an emergency, they offered me an afternoon slot and turned up at 6:30pm and charged a rather exorbitant 'emergency' rate!

Do NOT use this company. They are cowboys who don't tell you what their rates are until they arrive, and then try to charge a call out fee and an extraordinarily high rate. They email you a contract only after arrival, and put you under pressure to pay, operating unethically and illegally according to contract law. I have dealt with many plumbers, none as bad as this.

Very rude staff. Could not unblock my sink but touched my boiler while trying to fix it and, after he left, a message came up on my boiler and I phoned to ask them what the message was as it wasn’t there before the engineer arrived. Not willing to help, as he said it was bad timing and nothing to do with him. He told us to google the answer. We spoke to another plumber(today) from a different company who told us the answer straight away. Today, I rang head office to explain the situation, who were also rude and unhelpful and backed their work. The engineer from yesterday then called after I left a bad review online, asking me to delete it because it’s Christmas, which is absolutely insane! I am wondering whether they ask everyone to delete bad reviews, so please watch out

I requested a cistern repair from MSJ Plumbing Ltd and someone called me saying that a plumber could be sent out in the next hour. I asked about the cost difference of waiting until the following day and as there was a £19 difference to the callout fee, I decided to go ahead with having someone round in the next hour. The plumber assessed the job and then said the company would email me with the quote and terms. The hourly rate was £229 (!) and there was also an admin fee of 10% of the bill on top of callout fee and parts. I felt that the hourly rate - even when considered an emergency which it wasn't - was extremely high but I didn't know what comparable rates would be - plus the plumber was standing in front of me and I didn't want to offend him by saying this so I agreed to it. The job took 30 minutes but I was charged for the full hour. I observed the plumber on his phone during this time so was concerned that he was waiting for the 30 minute mark to be able to round it up to the full hour. The invoice was emailed to me and the plumber remained inside my house so I felt under pressure to pay it immediately. I feel extremely disappointed by the unreasonably high hourly rate that I was charged, the fact that I was charged for the full hour when the job took only 30 minutes to complete, and that I felt intimidated to pay the invoice immediately. I issued a formal complaint to the company within 24 hours and their response was - predictably - that all procedures had been followed (missing my point completely) and their offer of resolution was a discount on future services, which I will not be using as I won't be working with this company again. I would not recommend using this company due to their unreasonably high rates and intimidating payment tactics.
Following a power cut and deciding to use the attachment part of the shower even though it resisted i was faced with a broken shower and continously running water which i couldnt turn off , the power kicked in and this was then continously hot running water. I googled emergency plumbers and MSJ came up , they were also on Check a Trade with good reviews so i gave them a call and Milad came to my rescue. I was advised of what work was needed and the cost. Milad checked i was happy to proceed before undertaking any work. He was very friendly , able to fix the issue and still leave me with an attachment to have a shower with while i source a new shower. Really pleased with the service , this isnt how i expected my evening to go however im happy with the swift service provided - contact made and fixed within the hour. Thanks Milad 😀

Extortionate. It was a Sunday and we were aware of the £69 call out charge. The hourly rate is £250 on top as well as a 10-15% admin fee. We had a fault on our boiler and a very slow drip/ leak under the boiler. 3 hours work and a cost very close to my monthly salary later and we have no fault but a different slow drip / leak. It seemed they werent sure what the fault was so replaced a few parts to try to work it out. All those parts were obviously chargable. The engineer also made sure we paid for the invoice in full before he left, which felt wrong. I am so upset, its a week before Christmas and we have been fully taken advantage of. Avoid if you can.
Oli did a few jobs for us back in the summer, the 1st was to replace our kitchen tap and when it was missing a part he waited for me to return to the shop and collect it. This was super kind of him as most Plummers would have re arranged. The 2nd job was to fit a hot tap outside for washing the dogs, this has been amazing over the summer with the BBQ but the doggies are very much appreciating it this winter. Thanks so much Oli!
The service was great and the guy who fixed the toilet was professional, however the price was shocking. I understood the £69 call out fee to investigate the issue but the cost of fixing the leaking pipe - with the part costing £15 - was set at £189 per hour and a 10% admin fee, so we got hit with a £300 bill. I would've given 5 stars had the price been reasonable.
MSJ Plumbing did a great job for us. We had a small leak in the kitchen and they managed to come out quickly. The engineer was friendly, got straight to work and fixed the issue without any hassle. Everything was left clean and the price was fair. I’d happily recommend them to others.

Plumber got to me as quickly as he could when I had a water pipe spurting water out of a pipe and was very stressed. He quickly came in assessed the situation and got to work on the job all with a friendly pleasant attitude.

Asked how much call out fee was £49 which was acceptable…but when they arrived did nothing but look & say it’s a sealant & grout problem and charged us on top of that an investigation fee of £25 which wasn’t mentioned when I asked how much it cost to call out over phone. He was here less than 5 minutes!! Told us to get a handyman .Total rip off. Would definitely avoid this company in the future. Then rung me up twice after because they didn’t like the review! Make your own mind up. ( Btw- had grouting & sealant done & still had leak)
We had a burst pipe in the loft with water coming through the ceiling in several places. Phoned 'Gold' emergency response service from insurers and they couldn't get anyone out to us until next day! So instead we called MSJ plumbing and Matt was with us within about 15 minutes and fixed the pipe within the hour. Thank you Matt..you were a super hero today!

I can’t thank this company enough! At 2:30 in the morning, I discovered water pouring from under my kitchen sink. I was panicking, worried it would flood the entire downstairs. I called their emergency line and, within 40 minutes, a plumber was at my door. He was calm, professional, and had everything he needed on the truck. Not only did he stop the leak quickly, but he also explained what caused it and gave me clear advice on preventing it in the future. The price was fair, especially for an emergency call at that hour. Sadly, it’s an overpriced job for changing a leaky tap. Sorry to score it a one star. Hopefully this tap last a bit before it starts leaking again.

Either him or one of his workers would attend site to look at and fix the problem. They always arrive at the time window they specify. Work is professional and tidy. Tenant rang at 10.30pm with a blocked sink and water flowing into the neighbour's flat below (why is it always late at night these things happen ...) MSJ Plumbing was the nearest company to the flat on Google search so I took a punt. Mike arrived within 20 minutes, identified the issue, sorted out the blocked pipe, checked the pipes and water flow to make sure no other problems. He even sent me a video showing the water flowing. Cost effective emergency service for me, very fast service for the tenant and reassurance for the neighbour = win/win/win!!
I am so grateful to these guys for what they did today. I had a horrendous leak from my toilet where the pipe had come away and leaked raw sewage under my home. They repaired my loo and cleared up all the sewer waste. I phoned a couple of places before who refused to come out because of the raw waste. I would recommend them and will use again.
