A1 Heating and Plumbing LTD

A1 heating and plumbing performed a number of jobs on my flat recently. Fixing a leak from a bath, replacing some taps and assessing/servicing our air con units. The workers who came to our flat were very professional and work was carried out within the quoted time periods. I was most impressed by the excellent communication that I received from this company when arranging work to be performed over multiple dates. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a plumber or air-conditioning engineer in the future

The engineer found the problem very quickly and I was impressed by the way he checked things thoroughly and fixed things. He was very easy to relate to. A good man doing a good job.

A1 in name - A1 in service. We had a leaking stop cock over the weekend. I called first thing Monday morning and we had an engineer arrive by 9am. He replaced the stop cock and checked everything was working well, including cleaning taps to increase water pressure. Great service! Would’ve given 10 stars in possible.

Very good service provided. I got replaced two rusted radiators. They also helped me with the advices to buy them too

A1 were extremely friendly and communicative throughout. They were upfront on potential costs from the very start (even before coming round to diagnose the issue with my boiler). They quickly diagnosed the issue, ordered the parts and came round to fit the replacement parts. The repairman even took a quick look at my washing machine and fixed that for free. Thoroughly recommend!

A1 Heating and Plumbing replaced the tap for my kitchen sink. They responded promptly to my approach and I was more than happy with their suggested tap design and costs. The work was carried out most efficiently by their engineer who was competent, friendly and tidy. A job well done. I will certainly use A1 again and I recommend their services.

I have used A1 Plumbing regularly over the last five years and have found their service to be consistently excellent - punctual, courteous and, most importantly, they fix the issue.

Excellent service from A1 Heating & Plumbing. We had 3 new radiators fitted and they helped us throughout the process of ordering, and the fitters on the day did an excellent job. Highly recommended.

Luke was excellent, fast, tidy and considerate.

Ashley was very helpful and provided an excellent check of our combi boiler. He explained everything in detail and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend Ashley to others for his professional expertise and skill. Thank you.

Have used Ash and his team whenever I or my neighbours in recent cases have a problem for many years now. Always good communication and very professional and honest guidance, last job saved me £100 as guidance was going to be a tough one, if can make do with what you have stuck with it. Trying to get them to set up service plan for ASHP now as no good service offerings out there.

Good, quick and realiable,I was on my way to take my dog for a walk and was driving behind a A1 van, took dow their number.Job done!

A1 installed our bathroom around 2–3 years ago. To their credit, they returned about 6 months later to redo the bathroom almost entirely after we raised concerns about the initial finish. We appreciated them taking responsibility at the time, which is why we didn’t originally leave a review. However, some issues have persisted. In particular, the freestanding bath has never looked quite right, despite being reassured this was normal. After looking into it further, it appears the bath may have been installed incorrectly. The levelling feet were fully extended (rather than minimised), which left a large gap underneath that has been filled with a thick bead of silicone (around 2cm+). It also appears the bath was fixed in place with a strong construction adhesive rather than being properly seated and sealed with silicone. We also experienced water leaks, and at one point self-levelling compound leaked through into the room below, which we had to clean up ourselves. We’ve also had issues with pipes knocking in the walls since the work was done. This added to our concerns about the overall quality of the installation. There are also other aspects of the finish that don’t look quite right, which further suggests a lack of attention to detail. Based on our experience, I don’t feel it would be fair to others not to share this. A1 may be stronger in other areas (for example boilers), but we didn’t get the impression that bathroom work was their main focus. While some members of the team were clearly skilled and conscientious, others seemed less attentive to detail and finish. Overall, it’s frustrating, particularly given the cost and the fact this is something you have to live with long term. With a bit more care and attention—particularly during the second visit—it could have been a very good result.

We recently had our shower and valves replaced and are extremely pleased with the service. Ashley was very friendly, thorough and professional in assessing the job. Kyle was very helpful and professional. Michael completed the work to a high standard. He was punctual, tidy and professional. Excellent service from start to finish. Highly recommend.

Absolute star service, beginning to the end. Clarity on prices, incredible communication, the engineer that attended my flat was polite and professional same as the admin team. Can't recommend enough!

Very efficient service, the engineer, Ross communicated very well with me before arrival and even waited a bit longer as I was running a bit behind. Carried out the boiler service and then did some extra sealing works and installed a Carbon Monoxide alarm all whilst on site for a very reasonable extra cost. Friendly, professional & diligent service. Would recommend A1, especially after receiving another very expensive quote.

Very polite and helpful throughout, I have used them for a number of years and I have never had a complaint.

Great service from start to finish. Friendly and efficient staff, professional throughout and accommodating and flexible with competitive pricing. They came recommended and did not disappoint.

Brilliant service from Ashley. We had a leak from our shower dripping onto the downstairs ceiling and the job was completed quickly and efficiently. Ashley was really polite and very understanding that I had multiple work calls to complete during the work. We will definitely be using them again!

I have used A1 a number of times, and have recommended them to my friends. They are responsive, helpful, friendly and super efficient at what they do. Because of the range of services they offer they can sort out any plumbing and heating issues for you. I would not hesitate in recommending A1 to anyone.

Very quick to reply and offering a fair price. installed 6 TRVs promptly and professionally.

We’re really pleased that we chose A1 Plumbing to sort out the plumbing issues in our home. First, they replaced a faulty kitchen tap quickly and efficiently. They also serviced our boiler and fixed the timer on our heating system. They had to come back a few times to fully resolve everything, but they were always polite, punctual, and made sure to clean up after themselves each visit. We would definitely recommend A1 Plumbing to anyone needing reliable and professional plumbing work, and we’ll be using them again in the future.

Ross removed and replaced an ancient difficult to reach internal mains stoptap, which someone else declined, but he didn't give up. Comes with 12 months labour warranty as well for peace of mind. 2 days on all good so far. Kyle and Ashley have always been helpful and prompt in replying in past, even when I haven't ended up using them. Highly recommend.

The clue is in the name, A1. I needed extensive works done in my flat, efficiently & quickly as possible to keep my very patient tenant happy. Ashley took hold of the case, kept me fully informed and did an excellent job. I will always use and refer A1 heating & Plumbing in future.

A1 offered professional ,friendly and very polite service. After our boiler broke down in the middle of winter A1 was recommended to me by Vaillant as an installer. They did a great job, were tidy and on time. I would say they offer very good value for money. I definitely will use them again. Thank you!

A1 Heating and Plumbing serviced my boiler recently. They arrived promptly , and spent time making sure everything performed well.I would recommend them as they have also done other plumbing jobs in my house with great success.

A1 are absolutely brilliant. Helped me very last minute in the cold weather when my heating had broken down. Remembered me straight away from the previous time I have used them which was nice. They sent someone out within 2 hours of my call to triage the issue and then ordered necessary parts quickly and were then able to attend the following day and fix the issue. Their communication at advising on timeframe and cost was super helpful, and the gentleman (Mitchell) that came to fix the heating was very kind and professional. I have no hesitation in recommending them, and special mention to Kyle who was so helpful on the phone! A1 job!

Excellent Work. Many Thanks. Jim

Our experience with A1 was very disappointing. The engineer who inspected our boiler told us that up to three parts needed replacing and provided an extremely expensive quote. When we called the office, the person on the phone was very pushy about buying the parts directly from them, yet refused to give us a clear price breakdown for each part. They also tried pushing us to buy a new boiler stating ours was near the end of its life. This all happened a few days before Christmas so they could tell how desperate we were to fix it. We decided to buy the parts ourselves and asked another engineer to check the boiler. Surprisingly, we were told that none of the parts A1 claimed needed replacing actually required to be changed, the problem was caused by a part the A1 engineer didn't even look at. We would not recommend A1 for boiler repairs, as you may end up paying for unnecessary replacements.

Great job done quickly

A1 Heating replaced our heating system and boiler in November 25. They worked hard and were a pleasure to have in the house. Seriously they were that good. A1’s workforce were positive, happy and worked hard. A1 is one of the best companies I have had do work in the house and I would definitely ask them to work on any future project that may come our way. A1 went the extra mile to sort out any issues that arose in our older house in a positive can do & will do way. They worked so hard ! They were very impressive. A1 was outstanding and they deserve 10 stars not just 5. This is a bit gushy - but honestly - A1 earned this review ! I hope it puts anyone who may be considering using A1 at ease to know that A1 is indeed top of the class and will do a great job.

A huge amount of money and the radiator is still stone cold. Poor customer service

Excellent service provided. Very professional, clean, tidy and very nice guys. Would recommend this company any day!!!!

Great service from all the staff, many thanks to Dan for his care and attention to replacement radiator fitting .Good service from this company for routine services and the odd emergency .

They did a full flushing of the house central heating system (11 radiators) which dramatically improved the central heating performance. The boiler had a pre-existing fault making a high pitched noise which reduced after flushing. They produced a comprehensive report following their visit, phoned the boiler maker to check on warrantee, explain the problem and offered options for repair. Totally transparent .professional and helpful. I would definitely use their services again.

Superb service, on time, clean and tidy along with fixing the issue in one visit. Well done. Highly recommend.

All was fine. They did the job I asked. It was heating system flush and a gas boiler serviced.

Ashley was absolutely wonderful, totally professional and reliable. He did a wonderful job and I would not hesitate to recommend A1 to anyone. The five stars I give them are absolutely deserved. As an aside, it is very refreshing to meet someone in this profession with integrity!

I have used A1 Heating for boiler services for 3 years now. I found the communication excellent, and the service was from an honest and reliable company. Highly recommend.

We have been using A1 for the last 3 years. It is definitely the best Heating and Plumbing company in London.. hands down! We've done everything with them, from: Yearly gas checks.. flew pipes installed properly, got our radiators synced, water tanks checked, boiler inspected and they also fixed a leak from our neighbors toilet which was coming through our ceiling. Speed, Price and Quality overall 5 stars. Thank you Kyle, Ross and Ashley... you guys are great! And everyone that came over the years.

Sept 25 2025 engineer Dan removed existing tank and installed new one. He did a very good job and very happy. Was recommended to A1 Heating & Plumbing by electrician Jack Peters.

Debbie in the office was super helpful. Ashley came and fixed the issue with expansion tank, was very clean, tidy and professional with his work. Highly recommended.

A1 were brilliant, we had a boiler service and Ash the gas engineer was lovely. He explained what he was doing and even showed us how to restore water pressure in the boiler. It was easy to book and staff were easy to talk to and polite. Excellent service and definitely will be recommending to family and friends.

Good service although a bit expensive

Great service from this company, I had a new boiler fitted at a very respectable price , the engineers were all very polite and knowledgeable, my house was respected and everything cleaned after

Helpful. Quick. Kind.

Very polite, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile.

Excellent service. Lovely guys. I had an issue with my kitchen tap. They went above and beyond to help me get it sorted. Many thanks.

Amazing service and communication. Arrived on time. The job was more complicated than anticipated and took longer but they still only charged me the quote which was very kind. Definitely recommend.

The A1 team came out to my house and completed a boiler service last week. From start to finish I found them a pleasure to deal with. Their system is very efficient, from the original email reminder that it was time for a service, through to the booking process and the day of the visit. They could not be faulted. The service was completed quickly and efficiently by their highly trained and knowledgeable engineer. They left the site spotlessly clean, their prices are very reasonable, and their engineers highly skilled. I would highly recommend A1 Heating & Plumbing.

Luke came this morning to replace my kitchen mixer. He was nice and knowledgeable. Will certainly recommend A1.

Amazing service, come out and fixed my dads boiler so quickly. Highly recommend A1 Heating & Plumbing LTD.

We used A1 heating for a Boiler service and confirm I was impressed, punctual, Professional and they really went above and beyond thanks A1

A1 have been our plumbing and heating engineers for 10+ years. They carry out all of our plumbing/heating jobs, gas and boiler services and have refurbed several of our bathrooms which we are so pleased with. The team are efficient, professional, always go above and beyond for us and we feel very lucky to have such a good long term working relationship with the team and hopefully will for many more years to come.

I recently used A1 Plumbing and Heating, and I am beyond impressed with their service. The team was prompt, professional, and highly skilled. They quickly identified and fixed my plumbing issue. The technicians were courteous and took the time to explain everything clearly. Excellent service at a fair price. Highly recommend!

Had a new boiler fitted. Good communication and tidy job

had a1 come out for a boiler service. they were very clear and friendly when speaking to them on the phone and emails. the engineer arrived on time and answered all of my questions thoroughly. i would use a1 again for any works to be done at my property!

Have used A1 on couple of occasions and they have done a good job with resolving issues with boiler and central heating. Were reasonably priced. Would recommend and use them again.

Top quality work would highly recommend to anyone who needs any plumbing work done

Professional service, quick to arrange a service, carried out the job thoroughly, very easy to work with and no concern about getting what has been paid for.

We have used A1 before to fix our boiler. This time they reinstalled washing machine and as usual did an outstanding job. I have already requested a quote for another job

I recently had the pleasure of working with A1 Heating & Plumbing to have a new bathroom fitted in my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, the team at A1 was professional, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. They took the time to listen to my needs and preferences, and they worked closely with me to ensure that the finished product exceeded my expectations. The quality of their workmanship is second to none, and the attention to detail is truly impressive. Every aspect of the project, from the tiling to the plumbing to the finishing touches, was executed flawlessly. The team was always on time, courteous, and respectful of my home, and they took great care to keep the work area clean and tidy throughout the project. Overall, I would highly recommend A1 Heating and Plumbing to anyone looking for a reliable and professional plumbing company. Their expertise and commitment to quality are truly outstanding, and I would not hesitate to work with them again in the future.

Found the problem and efficiently fixed it

Showed up hours late, and then left hazardous waste in the alley outside our house. Despite telling us they’d get someone to sort asap, they did not. We had to say we would report the situation to the council, then someone actually came to take the waste away. They then proceeded to bill us the full amount as though nothing had happened…

£150 minimum call out fee is a bit steep in my book.

I had some repair work completed on my property happy with the work. I would definitely recommend A1 Heating and Plumbing.

I recently had a problem with a dripping tap in my bathroom. I contacted Ashley, sent a photo across, and within the week he and his team had sourced a replacement tap and installed it. The pipework turned out to be in the wall, behind the tiles. From start to finish the engineer kept me informed of the work, what he needed to do and left the area clean and tidy. He also made sure that there was easy access to the pipes in future. I was very impressed with the level of professionalism throughout the process from everyone I had contact with in the company and would highly recommend A1 to anyone.

The team at A1 are very responsive, flexible and highly knowledgeable. Would definitely recommend and continue to use their services!

We had been struggling with water logging in our newly built bathroom shower area. Tried different unclogging liquids but nothing helped. A1 did a brilliant job in finding out solution at a reasonable rate as we had imagined it would need ripping off the entire shower area. A1 guys were quick and efficient in fixing this issue and I had peace of my mind, I would definitely recommend them. Thank you

I've used A1 a few times, they are always professional, provide a good quality service and leave the site clean and tidy!

Punctual, polite and efficient company. Very pleased with their service

We had a new power shower pump fitted by A1 Heating & Plumbing a few months ago but unfortunately it broke down a short while later. We contacted A1 Heating & Plumbing and they soon fitted a new one which has been working brilliantly. They rang a week or so later to check that the new pump was working well. I was very impressed with their after sale customer service as a lot of companies don’t bother with this.

Ash’s team came out promptly when I reported an issue with the pressure in the boiler. As we needed a new PRV and expansion vessel to be ordered and fitted, Harry made a video showing how to repressurise the boiler. We were given a choice of times for the engineer to fit the parts within the week, and the job was done promptly within the allotted time frame. Will use again for a Hive installation.

I asked A1 Heating & Plumbing to install two new Worcester Bosch Green Star 30 Kw System boilers with associated Worcester Bosch Filters, in a local church hall. I thought that their quote was reasonable and they completed the job as specified on the required days. Having drained the system (20 radiators) they did a chemical flush, refilled & checked that all the radiators were working as to be expected. They were very professional, took care to protect the floor coverings and they left the room clean and tidy. I was well pleased.

The team from booking to servicing were fantastic, Came over with short notice and worked around my timing. They gave me a courtesy call prior to arrival and prompt with sending the report through. Highly recommend these guys.

Back in 2017, Ashley and the team replaced my ageing system boiler, water cylinder, control valves, thermostat, programmable timer with new models. Since then they have been back every year to perform gas safety checks, clear any filters if necessary and ensure that everything in the system is running smoothly. They are friendly, polite and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend their work to others.

Very pleased with work done, came on time, friendly, cost exactly as quoted. Would definitely use again

Quick responsive, top quality work and Kyle in the office provides an excellent customer service. If you are looking for a trustworthy heating engineer. I would highly recommend A1 Heating and plumbing as they go above and beyond.

The staff at A1 are extremely helpful and professional. They were able to fix a water pressure issue with my shower in a timely manner.

A1 provide an excellent service, all of the team managed by Ashley are professional and are always very quick to respond to any query. We have many properties in London, we would not hesitate to recommend A1 Heating and Plumbing Ltd.

Really loved using A1 heating and plumbing for my issues. My radiator burst a leak and A1 came out within a minutes notice, stopped the leak and isolated the radiator, provided a quote for a new radiator and gave me a date of their earliest availability. They had also noticed that I required a new TRV on my other radiator whilst balancing the system and that was a nice quick easy change, will be painting it soon! The engineer was friendly, factual and abided by the covid-19 regulations. The pricing was very adequate as I looked around and found A1 to be the most reasonable given the timeframe of the leak! Will be using them in case anything else happens!

I have had A1 Heating and Plumbing looking after my home plumbing, both in servicing and refurb for a fair few years now. You know you find a good one, and I hope to keep using them for many more years. Good, honest and trustworthy Company. Great staff, all genuine and very professional. Keep up the good work guys.

Absolutely great guy that came on time and was not over priced who also gave me information on what to do if it happened again. Would definitely recommend this company

Tom was efficient and somehow managed to remove our old boiler and install a new one all on his own on what we thought was a two person job - up four flights of stairs. He was a cheerful polite worker helping us between Xmas and New Year when we really needed him. The estimate was £3,000 less than the top quote and £1,000 cheaper than two more. Highly recommended by a friend and we have been thrilled with the service and can do attitude by Ashley and his staff.

Ashley's team did an excellent job of our 5-year boiler service. The gentleman who came to do the service was polite, courteous and thorough. He meticulously went through each step that needed to be done to ensure that the boiler would have the longest possible lifespan. He also emptied out the magnetic trap the ensure that our radiators would be functioning on top form through winter. I would recommend Ashley and his team to all of my contacts without any hesitation. Thank you.

Reliable and knowledgeable plumber and heating engineer. Ashley is really quick to help and will try everything to make sure the customer is happy. Highly recommend.

I got in touch with Ashley through an online portal for a job I posted. Ashley was very professional in his approach and matched another quote I had. After agreeing a time, work was carried out gracefully. There was an issue identified later and Ashley was very prompt in sending someone over to take a look and fix it. Overall, I'm satisfied and will use A1 heating and plumbing services again.
