Really impressed with JD Moling. They’ve been today and installed a new water pipe from the street to our kitchen. They managed to get the flagstones up and back down with no breakages, it’s almost as if theyve never been! And replaced our stopcock in a better location than before. James and his colleague did a 10/10 job for me. I had a water leak from the smart meter outside to the stop tap under the stairs, and they replaced the old main pipe with a new blue pipe quickly and efficiently. I dealt with James initially who came and done a site visit to look at the job. He was able to attend the same day I connected him and arrived arrived on time. I needed to change a lead mains to a plastic main pipe. James was very thorough on his explanation of the job - clearly new his stuff - advised on best practice and his quote was honest. I was given James’s number (JD Moling) from a Neighbour who recommended him. I am extremely grateful I finally found a plumber i can trust! I wanted to replace the lead piping in my house . I called several plumbers but James was by far the most responsive and helpful. He gave me great advice over the phone, came to the job on time, and provided a cost efficient solution. The job was a little complicated due to the layout of my house but James is extremely experienced and was able to complete the job without any issues. Was on the verge of booking a different company to replace a mains pipe when James rang and offered a much better deal. He appraised the job quickly via a whatsapp video. Communications were good and on the day, James and Mark carried out the work with a no nonsense efficiency, leaving the house as they'd found it. They even came back the next day to sort out a problem which had nothing to do with them or the work they'd carried out the day before. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend JD Moling.

My mum had a water leak in the lead pipe from the mains just as it entered her house. After contacting several plumbers, who said they could not repair it or quoted exorbitant amounts for a fix, thank goodness we found JD Moling. James replaced the entire lead pipe from the mains into the house using a moling machine. This only needed small holes dug in the garden, which he restored to the original condition. He was courteous throughout, clearly explaining every step of the job and took pride in his work. He did a first class job at a competitive price. We thoroughly recommend JD Moling.
J.D Moling did an incredible job fitting a new mains water pipe for me after the old lead one was found to be leaking into the cellar. I was concerned that the whole front garden would have to be dug up and that the job would take days, HOWEVER, in just the space of a morning, James and Nick (clearly very experienced and skilled) tunnelled down from one small spot just beyond the front path with their incredible kit and did the whole job hardly leaving a trace that they’d been there at all. Speedy response time, competitive rate, and both James and Nick were friendly and polite. They fitted a new internal stop cock removed all the old lead. Very grateful thank you.

James arrived within the hour to assess the situation, quickly found a solution, and was there first thing Monday to fix it. He installed a new water supply without requiring me to lift any flooring. Ruptured main diagnosed Saturday morning by independent plumber so completed the JD Moling quote request Saturday afternoon. James then called Sunday mid-morning and supplied a quote Sunday evening (well done on working Sundays BTW), we agreed the quote (which was a very fair price for the job) and the team arrived on Tuesday and completed the work in under a day. The work is great despite very muddy and cold conditions, the site was cleared and tidied afterwards. Overall, a job very well done with good communication throughout.

Work was to replacement of lead inlet main from meter to stopcock with plastic and to replace stopcock. Very easy to arrange. Very punctual and friendly. Very pleased with the work and they put everything back as they found it.

It gives me no pleasure to write this as it is so hard to find a Moling specialist in the London area but… initial impressions were fine and I was happy we could arrange the job in a reasonable timeframe (although James over promised on how quick he could send someone, we got there in the end). The guy he sent seemed reasonable enough and replaced my drain. However the problems then started… the new drain was an improvement but continued to leak, plus the workman damaged a paving stone when removing and re-laying it. I tried multiple times over months to get James to come and look at it. Multiple people James lied to me, promised he’d visit but never did. When I finally got him on the phone he just made excuses “your house is old, it’s inevitable it’ll leak… the damage to the stone is hardly noticeable etc”. I gave him multiple opportunities to make good on his word and try to resolve the issues but unfortunately he has proven himself to be untrustworthy and to not care about the customer who’s paid him good money for an agreed job.
