Once Again the Alford team has done a brilliant job. I live in a flat and my boiler has a vertical flue that is difficult to maintain. However, Tyler sorted a replacement no problem, all in the agreed timeframe with no inconvenience to me or my neighbours. Great work!

On arrival Tyler and Ashton discussed the work they were going to do, answered questions and then proceeded to do an excellent job. Once completed they cleaned up and checked we were happy with their work. 5 Star Service from Phil and Alford Plumbing & Heating. I had previously been quoted thousands of pounds, by 2 seperate companies, that were not Alford, whose agents spent 10 minutes looking at my boiler before giving me their 2K to 4K estimates to fix my boiler. I knew I had some work done recently to my boiler, so I was sceptical. I called Alford Plumbing & Heating. So very glad I did. They booked me in. Communication throughout was 5 star. Text the day before and on the day, to let me know when I can expect their engineer to be at my house. Phil arrived promptly, spent 45 minutes with my boiler. Informed me it just needed draining, which he did, no parts needed and only charged me the cost of the call out charge. THANK YOU PHIL!!! Phil warned me, that if the heating went again. It may require a part. The heating went again. Phil popped round, part in hand, and after 2 minutes informed me, no parts needed, just trapped air. No charge. This is exactly the reason I 100% recommend Phil and Alford Plumbing and Heating. Honesty, integrity, and professionalism is absolutely 5 star. Phil explained to me the reasons for the fault, what is likely to happen in the future and more importantly, fixed my boiler, for what actually needed doing, instead of trying to make us much cash off me as possible, like some other engineers (not Alfords). Phil is an asset to this company. As a consumer, I want to be able to trust the company that visit my home. I want to be able to trust the people that represent that company to fix what is actually needed, at a reasonable price. It's good business sense, as I will always come back to this company for all my heating problems. I will also recommend them to anyone else who needs work done on their boiler. It is also why I am purposely going to leave this review on the platforms they prefer. A defect on our heating system left us without our downstairs underfloor heating for most of January. A local plumber came out quickly but completely failed to diagnose the problem, let alone fix it, charging us £150 for 50 minutes of achieving nothing. Alfords took 3 weeks to attend, but when they did, their plumber quickly and correctly concluded that the pump had failed, replacing it immediately with a spare he was carrying. Our heating is working perfectly, and the bill, including the new pump was only £100 more than our first one. We're delighted thank you.

December is a busy time of year for plumbers, and given my job (boiler service and radiator valve change) was not particularly time sensitive, the next available slot was 2 weeks out. Got automated appointment reminders the day before, and updates on the day itself. Engineer arrived. Very polite, did the job quickly and efficiently. We will never use any of their services again. Upon we requested non emergency repair, engineering visit was scheduled few days after. The visit took only 10minutes as the issue with our toilet stopped the night before so repair wasn’t really needed, but we were still charged for half an hour service at call out rate.

Review for Alford Plumbing I cannot recommend Alford Plumbing highly enough! From start to finish, the service was absolutely first-class. We were looking to replace our old, inefficient system boiler, which came with two huge water tanks and a lot of old pipework that was taking up valuable space. David Alford, the director, came out for the initial assessment. He was incredibly professional, taking the time to explain all our options, including the new boiler technology, and helped us determine the perfect model for our home. He even talked us through some very good finance options, which was a huge help. The communication from Anja was also a standout. All of our email exchanges were on time and on point, providing us with all the necessary details and keeping us informed throughout the entire process. The installation itself was handled by Ashton and Tyler, and their work was nothing short of amazing. They arrived on time each morning (around 8 am) and worked diligently until the late afternoon (around 4:30-5:00 pm). They were meticulous in their work, from removing the old system to installing the new boiler in our loft—a huge undertaking. They even managed to install a new gas pipe on the outside of the house, which was a brilliant solution and saved us from having it inside. Despite the fact that they were working during a period of extremely hot weather, especially in the loft, they maintained an incredible level of discipline and professionalism. The entire job took just two and a half working days. They made sure to clean up all the rubbish and leave everything in perfect order at the end of each day. It's been three months since the installation, and everything is working flawlessly. The boiler in the loft is a game-changer, and the new control system with the remote and app is fantastic. A huge thank you to the entire Alford Plumbing team for their outstanding work and for going the extra mile to install the boiler in the loft. Your work is very impressive and greatly appreciated!

Just had an annual service done on a newish boiler - a very helpful person answered the phone quickly, they booked me in a visit for a time I wanted, for just 2 days later, then turned up on time, were friendly, didn't take long, didn't leave any mess, and charged £93.
From my initial phone call to them everything went smoothly. I got a text to say Tyler was on his way. He arrived on time and went about his business, professionally and courteously. He kept me informed as to his progress and quickly found the fault, which was soon repaired. He left the area clean and tidy. I would highly recommend him and Alford plumbing and heating.
Really disappointed. We contacted Alford Plumbing & Heating due to all of their great reviews. The engineer who came out was great and said he would get a quote to us in a day or two. After a couple of weeks of chasing them by email for quote and them saying they will get back to us soon, they never did. We were ready to book the work in ASAP but unfortunately they lost our business due to stringing us along and never actually getting us a quote for the works.

Very highly recommend we noticed a leak on Sunday night causing us to loose all heating, and by 10.30am Monday morning Alford plumbing had come out and within an hour fixed the problem and left the area tidy. Can not recommend enough we now use them for all our plumbing needs

Left a message on Sunday that boiler had failed, Alford phoned Monday 8.45am, to arrange a call. Engineer called 11am that day, diagnosed faulty fan, he ordered the fan over his phone, and fitted it on Wednesday… 5 star service.

Its never an easy job having your boiler replaced. Alfords however made it easy and straight forward. From planning the new installation, answering our questions, guiding us through to the right solution and installing the new boiler Alfords provided a fantastic service. The team that did the installation were great. Very tidy and protected carpets and surfaces whilst they worked. They kept us informed of what they were doing and were happy to answer any questions we had. All in all a great service that I would recommend.

Easy and fuss-free boiler servicing. Our boiler had a leak and was also due to be serviced. An engineer visited and was able to carry out the service as well as narrow down where the leak was inside the boiler. He left us with the number to ring to speak to the manufacturer and a technical description of the issue to pass on to the manufacturer's engineer to get a fix (it was all fixed two days later, under warranty.) Happy with the service from Alford and will be using them for regular boiler servicing going forwards.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a good experience with this company. The plumber had to keep coming out to investigate the problem over multiple months, he never found the leaks in the system in this time. In the end my husband had to take up floorboards himself (he isn’t a plumber) to find the leaks which he did within a couple of hours of looking. We contacted another company in the end to solve the problem as it was taking too long and wrecking our boiler. Not impressed and won’t be using Alford plumbing again.
Just had boiler service the engineer turned up within the prearranged time slot service all done for another year thanks guys
After my first contact, they were quick and kept me updated throughout. The plumbers turned up on the date agreed and on time. They were quick, tidy and again kept me informed as they went along. My heating system is now working and efficiently. I do and will highly recommend them. I have no doubt I will use them in the future.
The engineers were very polite worked hard and did a very professional service I would recommend them , the only downside side was when I called to make an appointment I explained my problem and the receptionist said she would send the antifreeze with the engineer , this didn’t happen , also even though I paid the same day that I was invoiced I still have had a receipt of payment

Great service. We needed to check something with our boiler and I was anxious to get help. Alfords came out the next day to demonstrate what to do. Despite it being an easy fix we were really grateful they came in person.

I had decided to change my old boiler and go for a combination boiler. Right from the get go the service was fantastic. When pricing up for the job everything was open for discussion to ensure my new boiler was fitted with customer satisfaction in mind. The engineer assigned to my job was Tyler. He was at my property for 3 days and he was very hard working and respectful of my property and cleaned up daily before leaving. Excellent job completed by Alford. All work was carried out to a high standard, Phill & Tyler are very professional and provide an excellent level of customer service. What an amazing service! From when Dave first came and assessed and confirmed the work required (underfloor heating and zone controls), to the point we received the invoice after the work was completed the service was excellent. Dave took the time to explain (clearly and thoroughly) about the problem and what options there were. The quote was fair, quickly booked in, and the guys arrived on time, with all the right parts / tools etc and the work was completed quickly and tidily. I would recommend Alford without any hesitation. Would be first point of call if needed again in the future.
