We contacted Mark to change the main stop cock as it was stiff and passing, and the stopcock for the outside tap which was leaking inside the kitchen. Mark responded promptly and came to have a look. We discussed options and agreed a plan. We agreed a date and time. Mark turned up as agreed, completed the job as discussed and cleaned up afterwards. Quality of the work was very good and he kept us informed as he completed each part. We'll use Mark again :)
Mark from Safe Gas made choosing the right boiler replacement extremely easy and straight forward, on the site visit he happily listened to all our needs and give us all the option available and advise on which systems to consider, quote for work was also received quickly. I called Mark in February when we had no hot water or heating and our 20 year old boiler had just died. He came out the same day and was transparent about the costs from the off and was fair with his pricing. NEW GAS BOILER INSTALLATION, 10 JULY 2023 Replacement included also new pump plus replacement of 52 year old hot water cylinder & immersion heater. New water & gas pipes had to be laid to new boiler location and to new pump now in the airing cupboard. Bedroom floorboards were lifted & replaced very carefully. The job took five days, but owner, Mr. Gay, on his own worked systematically, but unhurredly throughout. The removal of a kitchen wall cabinet, to make space for the new boiler, was an extra, which was agreed. I've used it only on HW or CH boost for 30 mins only, when needed. Early days, but working well, thus far. Winter will provide the proper test. I am happy to use Mr. Gay again for the annual maintenance.

We found Mark Gay's business (Safe Gas Heating & Plumbing Ltd) via Worcester Bosch's website as an approved boiler installer. His services has been first class from day 1. He replied to messages promptly, usually on the same day. He certainly has a lot of experience, knowledge & skills & gave very frank & honest advice, which proved he could be trusted. On the day of installation, he arrived on time & set about getting the work done. We replaced our 16 year old Baxi/Potterton (15KW) boiler with new Worcester Bosch Greenstar Ri 24KW boiler. This came with a 10 year Guarantee as we opted to have a Worcester Bosch Magnetic Filter also installed. At first, Mark thought he would struggle to place it due to the limited amount of space available, but in the end, he was able to get this done. Once the water was turned back on, unfortunately, there was a water leak under the floor boards, which Mark was quickly able to find the root cause of & fix (which cost extra, as it was not obviously accounted for in the original quote). However, Mark still managed to get all of the work completed on time. All of the follow up paperwork (invoice, receipt & guarantee) was sent in a timely manner via email. We also subsequently asked him to fix another minor leak in a bathroom & would happily recommend Mark & his company for any Gas, Heating or Plumbing work. However, be prepared to wait a couple of weeks before it can get scheduled, as his diary gets fully booked very quickly-which is understandable.

Mark gave a competitive price for the works and although I had to wait a few weeks for the works to be carried out due to his workload, Mark was on time came the day he arranged. Mark brought a few bricks with him for colour matching, then wasn’t satisfied and brought even better matching bricks the next morning. He also alerted the neighbours and us when he was going to create dust in case we wanted to move our cars. He clearly cares about doing a good job. Very impressed and a rare find these days. Highly recommended.
