We had our stairway ceiling reboarded and plastered - Martyn was really professional, clean and our ceiling was an awkward reach so appreciate how quick he managed to replace it, it looks great!

Highly recommend Martyn! We approached Martyn to give us to board and skim some artex ceilings and walls in our home. We found Martyn to be very friendly & professional, his prices are very reasonable, and his work is top quality. Martyn was very thorough and exposed some cracks in the brickwork , which he advised we filled with resin to prevent any future issues. Martyn boarded over a ceiling and skimmed walls , totally transforming the look of my room. I was delighted with the outcome! As well as being a highly skilled plasterer , he has excellent customer care, taking time to give helpful advice on the work beforehand , took care to protect flooring and cleaned up very well afterwards. After doing such a good job on replastering and decorating a vast majority of our house, we asked Martyn to return so that he could insulate and plaster a tired old bay window area that we hadn't yet managed to sort. Before the job started he gave me a phone consultation so that we knew exactly what to expect from the work and what our options were. Martyn did a great job as expected and worked fast but thoroughly. He then looked at a perceived issue on the front of the house that a builder had said needed investigating and reassured us that there was actually no issue with it so we were relieved to hear his honest opinion on this. Martyn will always be our first choice for any other work we have done.

We were looking for a plasterer, we found Martyn Nelson Plastering and we never looked for anybody else. We would recommend Martyn without reservations. He has plastered + plaster board 2 bedrooms, hallway/stairs and porch within a week. He has done a fantastic job with attention to details. He is professional, always on time and leaving the area clean and tidy.

Martyn Nelson was super responsive to my request for a quote which came back quickly and was really reasonably priced for a small infill job to a couple of walls where I had extra electrical sockets channelled into the walls and needed plaster repairs. He arrived on time, was very professional. Took care to protect my carpets and completed the job in a morning. The work has dried out well with no shrinkage. Would 100% use again.

Martyn re-plastered several rooms including walls and ceilings replacing artex where required. He then worked on kitchen re-fit , replacing worktops and cupboard fronts. Fantastic work effort , great timekeeping and very respectful. All work of highest quality leaving very satisfied customers.

We highly recommend Martyn if you have any plastering work that needs to be carried out. He has plastered all our bedrooms, our living room and has just finished our hall, stairs and landing. He is very skilled and professional and all of his work is completed to a high quality standard. In addition he is friendly, trustworthy, turns up on time and made every effort to minimise and clean up the dust and debris from the job. We wouldn’t use anyone else.

Most handymen come round and do a good job, but Martyn has set a high standard. He's reliable, flexible and serious about his craft. Not only has he painted and decorated our daughter’s room, but also boarded and re-plastered some walls along with some very neat carpentry tasks. Martyn has done a standout job with also leaving the site in an immaculate state every time. We look forward to employing his services for future projects we already have in mind.

Martyn did some soundproofing work and plastering in my house. He was really personable and super hardworking , he carried out the work to the highest standard and kept my house really tidy as it was quite a dusty job, would definitely recommend to anyone for carpentry work or plastering.

We were lucky enough to get Martyn to plaster our new house when we renovated in 2020. You won’t find anyone more skilled, professional or trustworthy. His work is really high quality, he is very reliable and super tidy, he treated our home and us with so much care and respect. We 100% recommend him.

Martyn was recommended to us to rectify poor plastering by someone else. We were renovating and asked him to do the rest of the work. Over the last year he has plastered every room, rendered a wall and bay outside, fitted a dome window in a garage roof (including beam replacement and refelt) built a raised wooden floor and boarded it (garage) and built a cupboard for our boiler (bathroom). Plastering included arched fireplace and curved under stair pantry. Some included overboarding, some feathering and patching followed by skim. Obviously recommend otherwise we wouldn’t have asked him back. We know 3 other people who have used Martyn and been pleased with his work too. Definitely worth getting a quote from him.
