I was fortunate to come across James the owner of Contour Plastering when he was refitting my neighbour’s shower room which had been leaking due to previously poor work done by another fitter. I then decided to have my own redone as my shower room was old and in a poor state. My experience with this company has exceeded my expectations. They are well mannered and very professional. James is a calm problem solver and will go above and beyond to address any concerns. He is also a perfectionist and will ensure that the job is done to the highest possible standard. This is also the first time I have encountered tradespeople who have left the work area absolutely clean and tidy at the end of every work day ensuring disruption to my home was minimal. I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending them and I thank them for a job well done.

James did a brilliant bathroom refit - including plasterer, tiler and plumber - for us recently in Birmingham. We're very happy with both the finished room and the considerate high-quality approach. In terms of finish, everything is carefully thought through and the quality of workmanship is evident on the surface - for example, very neatly finished corners around the tiling which aren't easy to get into perfect alignment - and perhaps even more importantly behind the surface - for example reinforced structures behind wall mounted units to make sure everything is solid for years to come. In terms of approach, James managed the job very well. He bought and stored everything ready for us so the job could be done on time. He also arranged replacements for items that were broken during delivery from the warehouse. He made extra effort to ensure we were happy with all the product choices, for example he brought a very heavy vanity unit we'd chosen for us to inspect several weeks beforehand and then took it back to store so it wasn't in our way. Throughout the work, things were cleaned up every day minimising the disruption for us. I couldn't recommend James enough. In fact, this is the second bathroom job he's done for us. We had to wait a while for him to be available this time - which is perhaps unsurprising given the quality of his work.

James has been amazing from start to finish. He helped guide us through the planning stages of the work, where nothing was too much effort for him, popping by at the weekend to check tiles and measurements. He was more than happy to take on a difficult job which many other trailers had turned down. James is super responsive. He has kept us updated at all times, attends promptly in the morning, and tidies everything up for when the kids get home from school. He laid a complex mosaic floor for us on what was a very sunk/uneven Victorian floor. The precision and finish of his work can not be faulted. He’s been very happy to come and deal promptly with any snagging issues, and his work was so good we’ve asked him to help out with some other niggly work we have needed someone skilled to do, at the end of the job, which he has been happy to help us with. Can’t recommend enough. Thanks James and co for all your efforts and completely transforming our hallway!

James did an amazing job with the tiling in our bathroom. It was a small job of three tiles and the finish is a perfect match. He also fixed a leaky shower. It was lovely to have someone that turned up when he said he would and he left the bathroom clean and tidy.

Being a plumber, tiler and plasterer meant there were no delays waiting for other tradesmen to finish each part of the project, and the job was completed quickly and efficiently. James was pleasant and reliable, cleaned thoroughly after each day, and our bathroom now has a very sharp and professional finish, with great attention to the details. James tiled my kitchen/diner floor in a herringbone design. The work exceeded my high expectations and needless to say we were impressed by the attention to detail and the end result. From the very beginning of the process James has been excellent. His communication has been brilliant. He got us a quote very quickly and followed up all queries about it promptly. He was able to start work quickly and work very efficiently to get the job done to a high standard. We went on holiday during the work being done and we felt more than comfortable to leave our key with James. He explained the work clearly so we knew what was being done and that it was to a high standard. He took pictures of the process so we could be sure that the work was done to a high standard. As we were away during the process he has agreed to come and fit a light fixture we weren’t able to choose before hand free of charge. The house was left clean and back to its original state after he had finished. We are so happy we have already requested quotes for smaller jobs we would like doing as his work is so professional. I don’t think we will need to look any further for a plaster/painter/decorator/plumber/tiler.

James completed a bathroom re fit for us, we had a number of quotes but Contour gave us the best feeling in terms of how cost effective he was and pride of work, also his time management was on point. james completed the job within the agreed time scales. I have to mention his tiling, I have had tiling work completed previously but never as clean and his attention to detail was fantastic. Whole heartedly the best builder we have taken on!! We took on James for our en-suite loft conversion. He handled the entirety of the project with no issues. He is very knowledgable and friendly and even came back to help us when we had a manufacturing issue for the shower door!! We would always recommend James to our family and friends as the finish of his work is amazing and he doesn’t cut any corners in getting every last bit done.

James fitted the beautiful herringbone tiles in our kitchen and utility, and he did such a fab job we got him back to do our whole bathroom and toilet refit. He has exceptional attention to detail and everything he does is to a very high standard. He doesn't take shortcuts or use cheap materials. He uses copper pipework, not cheap plastic, and he'll tell you if something you are looking to fit is likely to be poor quality. He makes excellent recommendations, asks the right questions, and understands the importance of how it looks, not just how it works. But he's absolutely fastidious about how it works! Everything was cleverly boxed in to allow for future access to plumbing if we need it, then all tiled and sealed really well. James works hard, coordinates the project management side well - including other contractors - and tidies up after himself. He was considerate of us and our neighbours and is a genuinely nice guy too! Highly recommended for top quality workmanship.

I can thoroughly recommend Contour Plastering. James is very professional, keeps you informed of progress and discusses the job through all its stages. We had had a leak from the shower tray which had come through the kitchen ceiling on a couple of occasions. He went to the root cause of the problem and solved it. The standard of his work is excellent. He is extremely orderly and works cleanly. He left the house tidy and clean at the end of each day. I would have no hesitation in using him for any future work or recommending him to anyone else.

We used James and Contour Plastering & Tiling for a water escape issue from an ensuite shower. We needed to find the source of the leak and repair any damage as a result of this leak. James was excellent, right from meeting him for the first time to job completion. The job entailed retiling and fixing any further damage from the leak including redecorating where needed. James is thoroughly professional. Once work was agreed, James did what he said he would do and would always tidy up after each day. The attention to detail of the tiling is excellent, with clean lines and excellent detail to the grout. We would have no hesitation in recommending James and in fact have Contour Plastering & Tiling lined up for further work. Further to this, we found James responsive and would always get to back us in a timely manner. He would update us on the progress of his work through videos and photos so you could see the progress of his work in real time. His confidence is reflected in his work and you know you are in safe hands. The other added bonus is that you do get a "one stop shop" for maintenance/home improvement; tiling, plastering, plumbing, electrical and decorating work.

We needed a bathroom radiator replacing and a water fixture installing. A friend of ours recommended Contour Plastering, Tiling and Plumbing and we were not disappointed. Excellent service, easy communication and quality end result. Will definitely be using again in the future.

Had our Bathroom completely redecorated, new shower the works. Really good work A+++, Always cleans up after himself everyday. Really good attention to detail and finishing would highly recommend.
