We were delighted by PC Solar's professional and friendly approach to pigeon-proofing our solar panels in January 2025, following a recommendation by our neighbour who had also used them (the pigeons nesting on his roof soon transferred to ours!) The price was competitive and all inclusive. The questions I had were all answered in full. Paul+1 turned up on time and, as far as I could see, did everything they said they would ie removing the birds nest and sanitising the area after. The panels were washed and the rear gutter cleared of debris which was removed from site. A galvanised mesh was neatly installed, much to the annoyance of the pigeons! I had my panels done in November. Paul responded to my enquiry within a few hours. He quoted the best price and did an absolutely fantastic job. The gutter was absolutely full with birds poo and Paul cleaned that too. The mesh was installed very well, the pigeons tried to break it and were unsuccessful. I am writing this review after almost an year since having the bird mesh installed around the solar panels by Paul. I am very happy with the service, professionalism and quality of work done by Paul. He's such a nice person to speak too as well. You can tell he is not about money but about customer satisfaction. It's hard to find such workmanship in 2024. Paul and his colleague installed the mesh netting around our solar panels today and did a quick and professional job at clearing away the pigeon nests and mess they left behind. The mesh looks good, strong and firmly attached and so far seems to have thwarted attempts of the pigeons to return. Hopefully the birds have got the message that they are not welcome and we won’t be woken at the crack of dawn by their incessant cooing from now on. Not to mention the mess they also created. They turned up on time and tidied up after the work. They were polite, efficient and quick. I had a problem with pigeons nesting under my solar panels, they were rather a nusience with their mess and broken egg shells over the lawn, contacted Paul after getting some horrendous quotes from not only the copany that installed them, but also from others. Paul arrived before the time stated (unusual I know) but commenced work straight away, never stopped every 10 minutes to hold a conversation on his phone, both he and his colleague worked through until the job was complete, lets hope the pigeons have now received the eviction notice. Paul at PC Solar Panel Proofing was simply brilliant. I found his company online after a lot of research and decided his company offered the best service for pigeon proofing solar panels without the metal meshing interfering with the solar panels and causing other issues. Paul kindly agreed to travel to Swansea to do this work and he turned up on time with a colleague. They both were very polite and calmly got on with the work at hand. Paul was even kind enough to put spikes on a neighbours chimney stack to stop the birds from going there along with putting spikes on a flat dorma roof two doors down too. Paul and his colleague also made sure all the bird mess (nesting twigs etc) was thoroughly cleaned up from the guttering and roof below and cleaned up in general before they left. Had problem with feral pidgins nesting under solar roof panels, noisy and very messy! Tried everything myself to stop them including netting and spikes, not easy when you’re 68. Thankfully I found PC Solar Panel Proofing on line. The owner Paul was very helpful answering all my questions on the telephone. We had a problem with jackdaws building a nest under our solar panels. We had cleared it once and within two days it was bigger than before. I could not believe the huge amount of twigs and branches they had used. Within a few days Mr Causeway and his assistant came, cleared the roof and gutters and put up a metal cage round the base of the panels. The cost was far less than I thought it would be and is guaranteed for ten years.
my neighbours and I discovered pgeons starting to nest beneath our solar panels. Paul removed the empty nests and then surrounded the periphery of the solar array with strong steel mesh. After a bit of a false start, Paul came and got straight on with the job. I had several pigeons living under the solar panels and a whole flock of starlings roosting during the day. The service included cleaning the gutters which the birds had very kindly filled, putting mesh around the panels and washing them down. All rubbish was taken away. Very pleased with the results.
