Amberley Security

Amberley security did a great job. They were quick, friendly and helpful. My new locks are much better than before. They were recommended to me.

An excellent job was done and quickly. My only comment would be that the engineer was late and it would have been nice if I had been informed of the delay

Very quick response to our jammed Front door. Good communication regarding arrival time. John took a lot of care to ensure the problem was rectified making sure we were happy before he left. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service from Amberley Security for our emergency lock change. The locksmith was very efficient, professional, and friendly throughout the whole process. Completed the work quickly with no hassle. Highly recommend!

Really professional, nice and friendly staff. They provide updates on the entire process so you are never wondering if and when they'll arrive. Would use them again 100%

Highly recommend Amberley Security, I needed support with my CCTV, phoned the office and Lewis was out the next day, and talked me through the process. Nothing was too much trouble. Please use this company, they are fantastic.

Highly recommend,Lewis is the fitter super guy can’t do enough for you.

This was. just a simple post installation reset of the phone app, but the team at Amberley were quick to help and resolved the issue within 5 minutes. Thanks as always.

John from Amerley stores 20 minutes fix our lock to a very high standard Polite, quick professional would recommend Thankyou

Professional and thorough. Could not fault

Excellent service from start to finish. The work was completed to a high standard, the team were tidy throughout, kept to schedule, and communication was clear and prompt. Would highly recommend.

Very efficient and professional job

Excellent service. Solved our lock problem efficiently.

Delighted with the next day appointment to investigate difficulty with locking/unlocking UPVC door. Problem solved and improved the performance without the need to replace parts. Knowledgeable, helpful advice for avoiding otherwise unnesesary further call-outs, efficient, and cheery (despite their personally fraught day). Definately recommend.

Excellent service from Amberley Security. They know what they’re doing; they are prompt; efficient and communicate well. Would definitely recommend. I felt that I was being ripped off by my last alarm company which I was so it is nice to find a company that is reliable; trustworthy and gets the jobs done at a fair price. Lewis has been a great help and has a wealth of knowledge.

Swift response to a camera issue. Task carried out as requested and problem identified.

problems with camera dropping out sorted

We called into Amberley security as we had a problem with not being able to unlock one of our external doors. They came out the next morning and fixed it very quickly Highly recommended

Amberley security in Copnor Portsmouth are exceptionally skilled locksmiths. They recently restored a 90 year old French lock for me - including hand making a key. They had to fix the botched efforts of other, so called, locksmiths. I wholeheartedly recommend them without the slightest reservation.

Efficient service -Lewis explained well any queries that I had with the system. He changed the battery which was causing the caution sign to light on the panel. At the same time he replaced all batteries on the sensors to keep them all updated

No hanging about! My call was answered promptly and dealt with professionally. Amberley Security kept my tenant informed about when they would attend and they dealt with the problem of locking/unlocking the front door within an hour at a reasobale cost. I would not hesitate to recommend Amberley Security. Many thanks guys.

Friendly and kept to the time

I used Amberly Security recently to install a CCTV system. They provided an outstanding service. A great local company who make it all feel so personal. Thank Amberley, especially Lewis.

Quick response, very polite and knowledgeable, effected repair efficiently, would recommend.

Super-efficient - I couldn't have asked for better service - thank you

Bought security camera and had it installed. Some months later stopped recording and asked for password to be reinserted. As Amberley installed with password phoned and asked for password. It didn't work and told it would cost £100 for engineer to come out and reset. Not impressed. Poor service

I would definitely recommend Amberley Security, used them to change new locks and also to help us get in when locked out. Really happy with the service, friendly and helpful staff 😊👍

We were given an appointment within 2 days and our problem with the burglar alarm was sorted out quickly and efficiently

Excellent job, extra camera fitted very quickly, highly recommended

I chose Amberley Security for this job( lock change) as it involved a vulnerable elderly lady and as I had been passing the store for many decades, felt it must be reputable. I wasn’t wrong ! John went over and above to deal with a challenging situation, always with a smile and always with the utmost professionalism. The charges were very reasonable and attention to detail was second to none. I have no hesitation in recommending Amberley Security. Thank you John for your honesty, integrity and sticking with us till the job was done!

I have used Amberley Security for many years for both my business and home locksmith needs. I have always found them knowledgeable, skilled and their customer service has been second to none. When I returned from a brief trip last Wednesday afternoon I found that I could not open the locked front door. By Friday lunchtime the issue was resolved with the parts needed coming from the stock held at their workshop. Their charges were also very reasonable.

I have used these guys for a number of years and they have never let me down. Fantastic service, very reliable. Would not use anyone else.

Great response and quick fox to Intruder alarm - Thanks Jason

Very good work and done quickly and efficiently

Very professional, fast service and I would recommend Amberley for any locksmith needs.

Scott and Lewis provided a great callout service to change the locks on my newly purchased house. Swift and efficient service - very friendly too. Thanks for coming out.

Fantastic experience with an out of hours lock smith callout. They attended promptly and worked very hard to gain entry on a door that wasn't making it easy for them! They were very friendly and professional and ensured the premises was left secure afterwards. Very happy thanks again

Excellent service from Amberley security. Replaced faulty doorbell even though it was out of warranty. A good company to deal with.

Prompt service and job well done. Excellent

Very positive experience all round. Having received what I thought was a quote from elsewhere that was priced to indicate that they did not want the job, I found Scott and had a much better first call. Use of his on line estimator yielded a more reasonable estimate which Scott confirmed after an on site visit. On the day, installation was straightforward and professional with the system being an exact match to my specification. Would recommened.

Amberly security are like no others, they are a friendly family run business that put the customer first, I have had a couple of teething issues with the CCTV I bought, But they wouldn't leave it until the issues had been sorted out I would recommend amberly security to anybody without hesitation If there was a percentage of a million percent I would give them 2 million percent Thank you guys Jimmy

Quick response and appointment which was kept on time. Very efficient. Would use again.

Fantastic local business - free and clear quotation - updated locks etc and installed alarm and cctv - very pleased and lovely people to do business with

I have used Amberley since 2015. They are exceptionally reliable, very well organised and have high levels of expertise. I wish there were more service providers like this.

Excellent advice from Scott on what would be the best system to install. Install was quick and at our convenience. System and install cost was what I had budgeted for. On going support will just be as expected by a local supplier who has been in the security business for approx 100 years, I believe. Highly recommended to anyone looking to increase their security and for those seeking help with their existing system.

Amberley Security were really helpful, came to check the problem same day. Good communication, would highly recommend

A* service , quick call respond . We have some issue with our new Alarm , which was installed by previous owner , Scott fixed all in short time and explained how all works.

Amberley fitted a new door lock at my mother's house. They did an excellent job of fitting the new lock while retaining the original key. The locksmith took time to explain the new door lock mechanism. Very impressed at the standard of work.

Excellent service removing a broken lock and fitting a replacement and spending the time to adjust the door, so it operated properly.

Speedy response (arrived 15 minutes after phone) and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend this company.

Kept us informed of when they would being coming to our site to carry out work. Friendly and kept work area clean and tidy Would recommend

Extremely efficient and effective service. Thanks to you drilling out the lock on the steering wheel disklok the old car was collected today. It did indeed move when they winched and steered it. Result!

Very professional quick service

I would recommend Amberley Security in a heartbeat. They have completed several emergency works at blocks of flats I manage through my employer to such a high standard. Thank you to you all.

Excellent service. Quickly identified the fault - repaired it quickly. Highly recommend

Excellent service, superb fast. Went above and beyond. A +

The company were very prompt at arranging the work that had to be done at my property. The member of staff was on time and took very carefull considerations to the work before undertaking any work. I would recomend this company to any one and would have them undertake work for me again.

The company was very prompt. The chap who arrived was polite and professional. And the cost was reasonable. I would recommend them .

What a great find. If you want to be treated like a valued customer then I'd recommend Amberley Security. Good communication and did what they said they'd do and I was kept informed by their automated texts. Small changes accommodated during installation without fuss. Quality wired CCTV system , neat and tidy job.

Prompt service. Very helpful. Would definitely recommend them.

Amberley recently changed the locks on building for me. They were professional, quick and good value - would not hesitate to recommend.

Couldn’t speak more highly of their services. My parents managed to break their front door handle and locking mechanism on Christmas Eve… managed to get it locked but unusable, so a side door and gate had to be used to over the Christmas period. They contacted this company on the 29th, and on the 30th of December they came out, assessed the issue, returned to their shop to get the necessary parts, returned to my parents house and we had a whole new door locking mechanism, all within 30 minutes, and all for a very reasonable price. Fantastic local company who from reading have been servicing the doors of Portsmouth for many years. I will be recommending their services to any friends or family who need any locksmith services in the future.

Great service and very professional

I have used Amberley Security for over 25 years for my home security needs. They have fit my house with the alarm system, regularly serviced it and changed door locks etc for me when needed. John, Scott and their team are always thoroughly professional. When you call them you get a human at the end of the phone, someone who is an expert at what they do and come out to you in a reasonable timeframe to do the job. They have been in Portsmouth since 1927 and I would urge all to support a local business.

Called Amberley Security on a Sunday evening as I had locked myself out of the house. Lewis turned up within the hour and I was back inside within less than 5 minutes. What a tremendous relief. A very professional & friendly service.

Front door lock went suddenly...thought if Amberley Security immediately. Rang them and the gentleman was very polite and understanding..my lock was repaired within a few hours of ringing...the engineer was very polite and payment was very easy. I was also sent confirmation of the job, time it was to be carried out and a copy invoice. What a wonderful company to have on your doorstep. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Engaged Amberley Security to do a job and was pleased with the end to end service. The time slot was easily arranged in advance and they executed the plan as agreed. Definitely a company you can rely on.

I was at my previous house collecting a few bits and locked myself out. No keys anywhere else. Panic set in as I was due for an appointment. A quick call to Amberly and an engineer was on his way in 5 mins. I was back in the house within 30 mins of the phone call. Can't say fairer than that!!

We use Amberley Security regularly for out of hours locksmith services, general key cutting, repairs and maintenance. Great service all around.

I had an issue with access to my work safe ( a big old Chubb about 40 years old), they came out the same day and sorted it, would thoroughly recommend Amberley Security, they are not your average locksmiths and very reasonable especially if it's something like a safe. Very Happy .

We had lost keys for our Chubb lock. A locksmith from Amberley came promptly at the agreed time, was friendly and efficient. With minimal damage to the door the lock was changed very quickly. I was happy with the amount charged which was less than the estimate. Thank you.

Very prompt service and reasonably priced. I had a slight problem with one camera not working initially but this was fixed quickly. Very happy with the service and Scott was quick to provide the quote and gave me various options having listened to what I needed and helped me to make an informed decision on what would be best. After the initial installation, the system was fine-tuned remotely and then Lewis came to finalise the installation and gave me a tour of the system and its capabilities. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Amberley came to my rescue! I bought an alarm from another company, who for some reason could not complete the installation. That other company were unhelpful to start and then ignored me. That’s when I contacted Amberley. They were so helpful and understanding and even though they’d not supplied the original alarm, came to my rescue and fixed what the previous company had been unwilling and unable to do! They were helpful, knowledgeable and provided some much needed advice that meant I can now forward plan the next steps with my home security and automation. I’d highly recommend them to anyone, if asked!

Scott and Lewis came out on time and did a very professional survey and the quote was back within 24 hours. The day of the installation they were delayed with another job but kept us in the picture of their expected eta. A nice touch. The fitting was very professional and the setting up on our tv was achieved with no problems and very little disruption. Lewis did have to return with a connecting cable but again arrived as promised and installed as he said he would. All the team made you feel comfortable. No problem or question was too much for the team. I would highly recommend them for your security needs both great and small Well done Amberly Security. You don’t really think about locks until they go wrong. My sister called me, the lock had failed outside my Dad’s house and she and my 85 year old Dad couldn’t get in. I kid you not, an operative was passing and had them back in the house in under three minutes. They responded super-quick to making the lock safe on the next working day. Parts of the lock were reused to keep costs down. These are the good guys. I’m so grateful.

Prompt response and good advice given, have used on several occasions

Will always use Amberley, did a fantastic job on a sticking Chubb lock. The locksmith oiled adjusted everything so it closes better than when the original carpenter fitted the door. Amazing..Speedy response cannot recommend them enough..

Despite it being Boxing Day our phone call was answered promptly and your representative (Lewis) arrived within two hours, and even though he had to return to Portsmouth (an hour round trip) for parts, our problem was solved efficiently and at a very reasonable cost. We would gladly recommend your company to others.

I would fully recommend Amberly Security and their staff, we are very pleased with our new alarm system.

Hi Scott, Just wanted to say thank you for your great service. I received the battery today. I had no problem fitting it and after I reattached it to the mains, it seems to be working fine. Thanks again and I will definitely be calling on you again.

First class service and very friendly helpfull staff. fair prices too. Thanks guys HPS

The only place I could find in Portsmouth that were not over priced and had the knowledge to help me with what I needed.

Very good place to go to for all your door keys and lock for your home and there all so sale Padlocks and a key cutting service on site.

Great professional and knowledgeable team. Helped us with our options and arranged a quick install. Thank you Scott and the team.

Super helpful!

Video consult with Scott due to Covid19, discussion was very helpful and insightful. John completed the work, social distancing adhered to. He was a pleasure to have round, and extremely nice person but more importantly he was passionate about his work. He kept me informed of his actions, and helped me to understand the situation which gave me great peace of mind.

I can-not fault this company, turned up on time, great price and completed the job in a swift manor, which is what I would expect with someone who is skilled in this trade. They Explained to me the problem and how I could fix it in the future if needed. I highly recommend Amberley Security if you are locked out your home or have a problem with a company automated locking door system. If people think they can get in-to the their house without damaging the lock or door, good luck to them.

Helpfull quality service well happy

I would just like to say a big thank you to amberley security. I have been trying to get a key cut for a padlock for a while now without any luck. Used 2 other different companies, going backwards and forwards cutting and re-cutting, trying it in the lock but the keys just haven't worked. A friend suggested amberley, so took the key I had cut and the original to them as my last hope, the young man told me exactly what was wrong with it and that it had been cut too deep. So he cut me a new one. Took it home and it fitted and worked perfectly. Was beginning to think it just couldn't be done. But it was actually a case of it just wasn't being done properly. So a massive thank you to amberley security 👍😁

They have the most comprehensive stock of locks and fittings etc. And there expertise is out of this world. Well done to them.

Helpful and friendly

Truly awesome knowlageable staff who will always answer any question honestly.

The only place in town that had the correct blank keys to cut.

If they haven't got it then they will get it! Great customer service

Excellent service from Amberley Security. I have just had the super secure Ultion locks fitted to our front and back doors. The survey was carried out and then the locks were fitted at the time they said they'd be here. Very friendly guy fitted the locks for us, there was zero mess and it was all done in super quick time too! Would 100% recommend the Amberley Security experts for any security requirements!

Professional friendly service

Absolutely amazing

Very expensive

They know their stuff

Very good service , knowledgeable staff no nonsense .

If I could rate zero I would. I had a broken lock but ten minutes after phoning I managed to fix the problem myself so called again and cancelled the survey visit. However a miserable old man from the company just turned up and when I opened my door greeted me with “well obviously there isn’t a problem woth your door love is there” I proceeded to explain I did phone and cancel the job to which he responded “yeah right I wish you bloody had rather than wasted my time” then slammed the block entrance door shut! Honestly pathetic.

Very friendly local locksmith with different services they can offer, they cut keys whilst you wait and had a range of different locks in that worked where we needed them and were able to match the keys to both locks. I have used them on several occasions and will be going back again.

Fantastic service, always arrive quickly and work tremendously hard to get things sorted for us each time we call them for issues within the Business Centre I manage. Nothing is too much bother. Would 100% recommend.

Ridiculously overpriced - £130 to open a simple lock, took the locksmith 2 seconds. As a student this is just crazy.

Fantastic service for key cutting. Done whilst you wait. However, most importantly the person who served me had a smile on his face and was so pleasant. That makes a huge difference. If only everybody in shops could be like that, it would be a real pleasure to go out. Thank you.

excellent friendly experienced service.

Used Ambereley to supply, cut and programme a spare ignition key for a recently purchased horse box. Very prompt, very efficient and very reasonably priced. would certainly use again.

This shop is the first place I try whenever I need any new locks or keys cut. Always very good service.
