Couldn’t be happier with the service provided and locks fitted. Came round and assessed the doors/security, made suggestions based on my concerns/thoughts, provided several options with quotes and researched alternative options for 2 doors. New lock for my front door, made a key for my garage door (old mechanism), and installed a mortice lock on a third door, making good the existing handle/lock holes. Friendly, professional and knowledgable.

I contacted HBL Security Solutions after having trouble with my van ignition key, which became increasingly difficult to insert. They came out promptly the same day to assess the issue and were honest in explaining that the ignition barrel would likely need replacing, having tried key related solution for 15-20 minutes. They ordered the part straight away and told me it could arrive within a couple of days, but in fact it arrived the very next morning. As soon as it came in, they contacted me and arranged to fit it at a time that suited me…even offering to meet me while I was out working, which I really appreciated. The engineer arrived exactly as promised and had the new barrel fitted quickly and professionally, all within about half an hour. The total cost was £219, which I have to say I was genuinely pleasantly surprised by—it was far more reasonable than I had expected given the speed, convenience, and quality of the service. David

What an amazing service. My car decided it no longer liked my keys leaving me stranded. HBL came out the following morning, refurbished the ignition and keys. Communication was excellent, chap (whose name I have forgotten) was friendly, professional and did an amazing job. Thank you!

I paid for them to come out and replace the ignition lock. Tom came out and did the job. Two days later, the key was not turning again I went in to see them. Initially they didnt believe the key was still not turning until it happened in front of them. They told me to contact the part supplier directly and then to go to VW in Canterbury to diagnose the issue. I had to go to VW twice, for them to find out that the part was actually never replaced. I paid £100 to VW for diagnosis which is the only part I got refund for by Herne Bay Locks. I explained to them it cost me money and time off at work to go and sort a problem out that I paid them for. The part was finally changed at VW and they charged them for it. They are friendly and polite when communicating and they apologised but it doesn't change the fact I was left out of pocket.

These guys clearly know their stuff and could not be more helpful. Went there with broken key at very short notice expecting to buy a new one. Instead, they fixed the key for a fraction of the cost of a new key. Whilst there, we also bought a second key for the car, which was much cheaper than going to a main dealer. Overall, it was a great experience.

This firm provide brilliant service via Mr R Whatley, THAT EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS and is an absolute delight to have found. Used their contact form on website about stranded Ford Ranger with ignition lock stuck at night. They called back at 8am in the morning, came out and provided the perfect solution by 11.30am They even saved me on costs. Wonderful. If only more business experiences were available of such good service just think how much greater joy it would bring.

A couple of weeks ago this company was my saving grace! I had taken a class on a school trip and unfortunately lost my car keys. This company went above and beyond to help me get back into my car. It was essential as I was using my car to visit a loved one in hospital. They provided me with another programmable key and were very professional and fitted me in straight away. I would recommend this company as so many people had let me down and these guys were literally my angels!

Absolutely brilliant! Can recommend as honest, trustworthy and incredibly helpful. Had an issue with my remote key fobs for my Range Rover not working properly which Land Rover garage wanted to charge me £260 to even take a look at but Herne Bay Locks suggested I pop down same day, saw me immediately, rectified the problem in literally 3 minutes flat and didn't charge a penny! All My locks on my van including the fual cap and centre locking suddenly packed up got recommended to herne bay locks. Locks broke in the morning they got the order in at 4:00pm for the next day manged to get them fitted the same day and now all the locks seem be working. They also added a spare key.

Time from call to completion of job less than four hours and gave me peace of mind that all was secure and working properly with regards ability to open and lock my garage door. Having tried many companies just before Christmas to come out and fix my non starting van i was told to try Herne Bay locks. The ignition switch had worn out,they ordered in the new parts and contacted me immediately to say they had come in and would be with me within the hour. They replaced the switch and barrel,coded the new keys in no time at all. They then spent another two and a half hours trying to locate another problem i had.They didn’t charge extra for this and were correct in their diagnosis. I was in Rochester which is not exactly local for these guys and i wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In my opinion Herne Bay locks are the most helpful and professional company i have dealt with, they done all they could to get me on the road again, i live in France and i needed to get home. A big thank you guys.

Was expensive for a" key " for my ebike battery lock, when I could have got a new lock and 2 keys cheaper elsewhere

I contacted the company as my car wouldn't start (a mechanic already ruled out a fuel or battery issue) - Tom called me back in the evening and troubleshooted, and within about 30 seconds worked out it was due to me not transferring a tiny chip when I replaced the key casing recently. He quickly guided me through transferring the chip, on WhatsApp, and 30 seconds later my car was starting again. He didn't charge me for his expertise - I've got the company bookmarked for any work in the future though; they clearly know their stuff. Thanks so much, once more.

Great service, called them when I locked myself out of my car with the engine running. They took under 50 minutes from when I called them to arriving and unlocking my car. I was having car issues too and he even offered to help but it wasn’t needed. Great company.

I had totalled my jaguar smart key and knowing how much a new one from a dealer might be! I looked up for auto key repair shops and came across Herne Bay Locks near by, thank goodness I did. They managed for me to get my car to their work shop supply and program, a new key and some how salvage my dilapidated old key and get it working again. This was all done in a couple of hours and for a great price. I would recommend them to anybody. Great helpful friendly staff who put themselves out for the customer Can't give them enough praise.

I was in a right pickle! Locked my keys in my van! Whoops! Rang the AA who came out but couldn't unlock it so they rang Hermes Bay Locks. They came within a couple of hours and took only minutes to solve my dilemma. Amazing!!

We had a guy come out to look at our key as it was in a bad state the guy just reprogrammed it and assured us it would be fine! we was charged a ridiculous £65 for 2 minutes on a computer and as you might guess it lost connection again when we called to say it wasn’t working they said it wasn’t there problem and they wouldn’t reimburse our money I’m disgusted with this as I haven’t even driven the car once since they done there 2 minutes of reprogramming!! And as a key worker I cannot now get to work! Really unhappy and will be taking this further!

Had several issue with double glazing in our new home including a "floppy" door handle on the main entrance door. Got a local double glazing contractor out to look at all of it and he informed me that the locks/mechanisms on doors such as our were obsolete and the only option was to replace the entire door and surround at a cost of £1,600.00. The next day I happened to be following a van with "Herne Bay Locks" on the side and I thought "why not"? I gave the guys a call that afternoon. Liam arrived at 9:30 next morning; advised us that he could sort it but the part that he needed wasn't coming in until 10:30 and asked if he could come back later. He arrived back at 1:30 and replaced the entire door mechanism and new handles. The cost ....... £267.00! Considerably better than the £1,600 quoted by the double glazing contractor and the bonus was that it didn't damage the wallpaper, etc in the hall which a new door and surround would, undoubtedly have done. Brilliant service and saved me a fortune so would highly recommend.

Sitting in the van after leaving Herne Bay locks. What a life saver, I lost the main key for my van and he had it cut before I even turned up. Upon arriving I met possibly to the nicest guy you could hope for that seemed to know everything about the van, key and codes it needed - Cost me about £70 overall when many others were over £120. Would 100% recommend and am looking to get deadlocks fitted the minute finances allow it.

Provided two new keys to resolve an immobiliser issue with my Peugeot car. My issue was with their duplicity regarding payment. I was originally quoted £170 for the job which later turned into the cost for the first key and so the price rose to £265 for two. On receiving the invoice I also found that the £265 was ex VAT and so I have been charged £318 in total!! I don't mind paying for a job but transparency is important.
