Croma Locksmiths - Basingstoke

What a lovely, lovely man Chris is. We called Croma for an 'as soon as possible' visit when our front door lock failed. Within 2 hours Chris was with us. He then went out of his way to be kind and even helped us fix our broken door frame which had been damaged by the lock failing. He really went the extra mile for us and we're now totally secure again. Thank-you Chris and I can thoroughly recommend this company for their great service!

Dominic arrived on time to fix a failing front door lock. Not only did he solve the issue to my satisfaction, he adjusted the door and fixed the letterbox too! Highly recommended.

Incredibly friendly and professional, went above and beyond.

Contacted Croma Locksmiths Basingstoke when door lock had become unsteady and needed unjamming. Given date to fix quickly and he arrived on time. He described the problem after diagnosing it, gave us a sensible quote to fix and said would order new part. He returned to the office, found they had the part there, phoned us back to say he could return straight away and repaired the door. While explaining that he always checked all the alignments too I commented about another door having this problem. He volunteered to see to this too all in the same price. 2 troublesome doors as new now. Brilliant efficient service at a good price.

Great, personable service from Dominic. Called when we was 15mins away and within the 1hr timeslot. He was so helpful and had good advice to avoid future issues.

Dominic was extremely helpful. He explained everything that he was doing and gave us tips on future maintenance.

Cannot fault the service. Ever so helpful and efficient.

Excellent service, prompt response, good price. Very happy with work

Dominic from Cromer did a great job fixing lock on Bifold door. Very knowledgeable and efficient. Highly recommended.

Amazingly quick key cutting!! Had someone cut copies of keys here on my behalf. Two other stores messed it up this key before so didn’t have high hopes But it was done in minutes and literally works perfectly. I wish I’d known about this tucked away gem sooner.

Visited needing a new lock to replace a broken one , very specific size. Very helpful and found exact item , in stock , good selection on the wall . Thank you

Visited to get some keys cut which they did, unfortunately the female member of staff who served me lacked any sort of customer care, I found her to be quite unfriendly and rude,

Quick and efficient

Excellent service. Very professional and helpful. Outstanding knowledge, clearly experts in their trade. Many thanks.

So friendly and knowledgeable. My lock was changed in minutes … a sigh of relief

So pleasing these days to find a knowledgeable and competent company to deal with day to day issues. Highly recommend this company.

Prompt, professional and friendly fixing some alignment problems with door locks

I highly recommend this company. So professional and responsive. Dominic has done some work for me and is excellent. Communicative and timely and gets the job done. Thank you.

Expert and professional service and advice. The business may have changed its name but the service is still first rate.

Cheaper than Timpson's. They got the job done in good time. I had two keys cut, one works better than the other in terms of rotating in the lock. They said its OK to bring them back if they don't work.

A wonderful guy came out on Friday 29th to fix the lock on my gate and he was amazing not only did he fix my gate but he went above and beyond and fixed a couple other issues for me too and being disabled it felt amazing for someone to want to help and care and he only charged me the call out fee we definitely need more guys like this he is awesome and I definitely will be recommending them 100%

Excellent service all round, front door maintained and lock replaced

We had a gentleman come by and fix our office doors yesterday, he was fantastic. After our doors being replaced twice, fixed countless times by other contractors and still not being safe/secure or work correctly, they are finally secured and fully functioning! Thanks again.

Dominic was great, hugely appreciate the work and service, massive help to everyone in our flat block everyone’s really impressed.

Brilliant service every time and they are always keen to offer there help and advise. If they havnt got anything they will try there best to get it as soon as possible.

Excellent service. Thank you so much for making our home secure again with no fuss or worry.

Efficient and do what it says on the tin!

Always get our keys cut here as other they always work and we don't have to get them re-cut (unlike a well-known high-street chain)!

Great service thank you

Wonderful service from the staff, giving advice on the correct lock to get plus how to install! Highly recommend these folks!

Quite possibly saved my marriage, lost roof box keys on day of family holiday, supplied new set in 10 mins, perfect, can’t thank you enough.

Great and professional job. Serviced the lock at no extra cost.

Excellent service from Naomi and the team - efficient, quick and a good price. Thank you.

So pleased to have found this lovely gem of a place tucked away at the top of town. I had been let down twice by a well known key cutting provider and was desperate for a replacement key. The service provided by the lady at Croma was exemplary, she was welcoming, friendly and her knowledge of the industry was amazing. Very reasonable prices. Would definitely recommend this company for any type of locksmith requirements. Thank you

I've never given an online review but can't help doing so on this occasion; Excellent communication Excellent pricing Above all, Excellent service.!

Prompt arrival. Pleasant and polite service from Dominic from the Basingstoke branch.

Thank you Dominic, very professional and obviously very knowledgeable, diagnosed the fault with our patio doors and fixed the problem, great service, 😊

Knowledgeable and reliable with good on site service

I don’t normally bother with reviews, but yesterdays service from Croma was exceptional. Having gone on the Basingstoke Locksmiths website I found that they had changed names to Croma but was still the same trusted team. The team were able to come out a few hrs later the same day to fix a broken gearbox in a upvc door that was locked shut. 20 mins later the gearbox was changed, the euro cylinder changed, and even took the time to rework and fix the door frame that had caused the gearbox to wear and fail. The engineer was super helpful explaining all the costs upfront, as well as providing super helpful advice on changing other locks at the property. Fantastic service, helpful and friendly team, and for the work carried out I felt it was great value! Will be calling on the Basingstoke Croma team for all future needs for sure.

A superb service that was picked up from the reviews highlighted. Efficient, on time and very polite. Will definitely use this company again. Thank you.

Good service ,friendly staff, best one around

I don't usually write reviews, but as Dominic was so helpful and obliging on Friday I thought I would put pen to paper. The door handle had fallen off the back door, although it could still be locked. I made the appointment over the phone and I think Dominic thought he was just coming along to give a price. He arrived on time, gave me the quote and when I asked if there was any chance he could do the repair the same day, he was very obliging. He went back to the office to get the parts and returned and fitted them in no time at all. He was extremely polite and professional throughout, and as I say, I was most grateful that he managed to do the repair there and then. I would recommend this company, and especially Dominic. He was very knowledgeable in explaining and demonstrating the issue and advising how it could be repaired. Dominic, is truly a star. I am definitely a satisfied customer.

Had the locksmiths out today. The gent was very honest and helpful. I couldn't have hoped for better service. Thank you

Fantastic service - helpful and very skilled

I throughly recommend Croma. Robbie and Naomi were so helpful in providing a quote and booking us in, and Dominic changed the lock in super quick time and came back to deliver additional keys which was above and beyond. Brilliant service and I'll definitely be using them again.

Highly recommend this company. Lost the key to the back door. Called Croma and a guy called Dom came out within 2 hours of calling. Lovely friendly man and did a brilliant job. Thank you

I had 3 keys cut in another trader in town. These were cut from their own master key. It was £17.50 for one and 3 for £50. None of those would even turn in the lock. Went back for another 3 and still no joy. Got the refund and went to Croma. One key was £8.50 and worked first time no problem. Also got an additional 3 and all worked perfectly. Great service , value and highly recommended 👍

I’ve been using this shop for years and I have always received fantastic service. All staff have always been so helpful and knowledgeable, especially Naomi who has always gone that extra mile and done her best to answer my clueless questions with a calm and patient manner. Great customer service, no job is ever too small or too big and I always feel like I am in safe hands! Thank you!

Sunday lock emergency, not what you want but a great job done by Croma and especially Dominic today fixing our door lock.

Very helpful, if you want locks/keys this is the place to go.

In here often - always good service! Nothing is ever too much trouble and always very good stock or can order in no problem. Highly recommend. Many thanks Gary from Guinness

Swift response, efficient break in!! Thank you - 100% recommend!

Dom was extremely helpful, patient and professional.Would highly recommended.

Excellent service. Came out same day and repaired broken lock.

This was my first experience of this locksmith company(though it was recommend) Dominic came and he was super helpful. He explained what the problem was and didn't leave until I was entirely satisfied and confident with the work.

Very impressed with how prompt Dominic attended. Only had to wait an hour for him to attend even though it was seven o’clock in the evening, price for the call out was very reasonable would certainly use Basingstoke lock smith’s again

Adjusted locks on 2 doors. Really helpful & friendly & explained the work being done clearly. Will use again & would highly recommend.

Exceptional service, arrived at appointment time was friendly and professional, wish more businesses were up to this standard.

Above and beyond service

Always reliable, fairly priced and honest. Turn up when they say and get it sorted. Never had a problem. Best Locksmiths I've come across

Dominic was so amazing and wonderful and a true hero! Thank you so much for coming to my rescue so quickly and out of hours over Christmas.

Went to get a second set of keys done. Naomi was super helpful and friendly. Never had any issues with any keys that I had cut here.

Fantastic service

Called croma out to fix my front door they came the same day and found 2 faults that were fixed in no time exelent service would highly recommend

Always happy to help and go beyond

Dominic was a top lad, got me back in with no troubles at all. Would recommend Croma to anyone in need of a locksmith.

Arrived on time, friendly, helpful and professional. Sorted out the issue with our new door, very happy to recommend.

Excellent service. The company purchased (at their risk) a set of special blanks in order to provide a set of duplicate keys. Every key was faultless.

Fantastic service. Dominic from Croma locksmiths helped me out with window locks. Very professional and very reliable. Cant expect more. Thank you Dominic and Croma Locksmiths.

Great job as usual. Used them for several jobs this year (2022), quick, efficient and very reliable

Dominic, from the Croma Basingstoke, was excellent in quickly resolving the faulty lock. He turned up on time, was polite and did a great job. Highly recommend Croma.

Dominic had exactly what was needed on his van and was very professional in his approach to the problem. Not only did he fix the lock, he fixed the door handles that had been insecure for over 20 years, and he also rehung the door so that it worked better than it had ever worked. I couldn’t have wished for a better service. Well Done Dominic!

Dominic was great. Did a good job, very helpful and fair price

Very helpful and punctual service. Very happy with the new lock. Thank you.

Dominic was absolutely excellent. On time, friendly, proficient and has restored my wavering faith in tradesmen as of late following a string of chancers and profiteers. Would thoroughly recommend Croma and will be using them again.

I have used these guys for over 25 years in both the commercial and domestic setting and they have always been nothing less than outstanding. Very personable and professional in all that they do with no job too small. For example, at one end of the scale they have repaired quick release fire doors and maintained security doors in a GP surgery and at the other they have just rebuilt a lock for a 1917 canteen of cutlery for me. Many thanks and long may you continue.

Dominic was awesome. Thank you for all your help. He diagnosed the issues with our locks, installed new ones and sorted everything swiftly. Highly recommended.

Very prompt service, excellent workmanship, and affordable

Excellent service would highly recommend

Absolute brilliant service by the Company and especially Dominic who carried out our door repair. Would thoroughly recommend.

Dominic was excellent, locked out with key on the inside of lock, sorted in no time great service thank you

First class service. Very good 👍

Good service, friendly and helpful guy that came and sorted out our front door lock!

Sorted my lock on my garage door to a high professional standard. Would highly recommend!

Running late but rang ahead. Solved problem by repair not replace. Job completed within 30 minutes. Thank you Dominic!

Dominic was very helpful and knowledgeable. Texted with An ETA and was here within that estimation. I would recommend him and would use him again. Thank you.

Excellent service Arrived when they said they were coming Dominic was very friendly and helpful and definitely knows what he’s doing Had the job done quickly Will be using them again 👍🏻

Very helpful and kind, helped us find a suitable lock :)

Have been using these locksmiths for 12years know formally known ad Basingstoke locksmiths brilliant service

Amazing service. Let down by Timpson's visited these guys, they were quick, friendly, efficient, and handed me back a perfectly working key. They also straightened up my old key for me for free! Will be my default from now on. Thanks guys :)

The locksmith that came out was very knowledgeable and helpful. Problem solved.

Our 30 year old front door wouldn't lock properly. The Locksmith took the time advice and then replace the lock and fix the door hinge. Wasn't cheap, but it now works like new.

Dominic did an excellent job sourcing new components to replace an old design and installing cylinders. Brian

Excellent service. Recommended to call by another local business and not disappointed. Phoned at 2pm on a Friday afternoon. Visited at 4pm. Problem was difficult, but resolved by 5.30pm. Clear communication - both on the time of the visit and the amount it would cost to repair. Locksmith Dominic Holman was professional, polite and a credit to the company. Good staff are hard to find, you should look after him.

My neighbour accidentally locked herself out (does anyone do it deliberately?) and had left her dinner in the oven and veg on the gas hob!! She was really stressed and didn't have her phone either. I called Croma and was relieved to have a very quick response from a nice guy call Dominic who was able to help my neighbour. (She asked me to say thank you in my review too!). Very professional and responsive service.

Really impressed and can’t recommend highly enough I received a very prompt, friendly service from Dominic, price was very reasonable too Thank you so much

Naomi is amazing, goes above and beyond to help out, even short notice. Excellent service, and always smiling.

Shame its not possible to leave no stars, very poor service. If you’re looking for good customer service try anywhere but here.

Sadly very expensive couldn't repair lock on patio doors said mechanism was too old but still charged £80. Not happy!!!

Christmas Eve and my front door lock failed so house unlockable over Christmas. Took the lock and multipoint to Croma in Basingstoke an hour before closingwho advised me that the lock needed replacing and fitted a new lock. I took it home and was starting to fit the hew assembly when I received a courtesy call from Dominic who asked me how I was getting ok n with reinstallation. I wasn't completely sure so he very patiently talked me through the process including my sending photos for him to assess progress. He did this to save me a call out charge. Fantastic service

Very helpfully and experienced!

Had a very difficult job (for every other locksmith company starting with T and ending in impsons). These guys had it cut and sorted in no time and was no trouble. Car started first time. Cannot recommend enough. Thanks for helping sort our little Renault!

Needed keys cut but although website showed normal pre Covid opening times I decided to phone first. Tuesday 9-11 am the man at HO said, so I arrive at 10.40 to find the door locked. Another phone call and a none too happy chap, working on his own, let me in & cut my keys rather begrudgingly. I'd wished I'd gone round the corner to Timpsons! This locksmith is normally very good & I've used them often but the website needs to reflect the correct opening times and they need to make sure they have the staff to operate the shop properly, or just not bother at all.

Helped me get into my safe after the batteries had gone flat on it. I took it to their shop and it was opened and sorted in a matter of minutes! Really friendly helpful staff

Cheap and quick key cutting. Definitely worth a short walk from Festival Place.

Shane was amazing, I had a problem with my front door and he patiently talked me through what to do. The door is now secure. Shane your an asset to the company.

These guys are magicians- thanks for always helping us out of a fix 👍👍

Would highly recommend. Called them up, they were free to look at my motorbike within a matter of hours. They were professional and friendly. Fixed the issue (key broken off it top box) and prices were very reasonable.

Got locked out. Quick response, friendly service, reasonable price. Would use again.

Fantastic service. Provided excellent advice free of charge.

Locked myself out late on a Thursday night and they turned up super quick and Paul the locksmith was really friendly and knowledgeable and got me back in swiftly and into the warm . Can not recommend this company enough.

We called out Basingstoke Locksmiths late on a Saturday night and within half an hour Paul had been, changed the lock and gone. We’re really impressed and can’t recommend them highly enough. Quick, prompt, courteous service and cost a lot less than we were expecting - what more could you ask for?!

Fast, friendly, polite and professional, great job many thanks

Great service. They were with me within 30 minutes to sort my problem out.

Very fast service that got me out of a problem. Thank you.

Called them in to get into a locked cupboard at work in Aldermaston today which they attended and dealt with very swiftly, excellent service, will strongly recommend. No fuss, no mess! Thank you

Beware another company out there is trading as Basingstoke Locksmith but registered as Jet Locksmith. Now these are gng to give you guys a bad name as they are awful and very deceptive. Feel sorry for you guys.

Well established and very knowledgeable bunch of people. Always sort probs out and key cutting is spot on first time.

Great service. We locked ourselves out of our house on a Sunday morning - within 15 mins we back in with their help. Very fast and friendly service.

please don't use this company they sell over priced rubbish, I bought a front door lock from them, my fitter would not fit what I bought from them, it cost me a lot but was actually cheep rubbish, I expected to get something better than a DIY chain but I got a much inferior part not fit for purpose and as they wouldn't give me a refund I wanted to warn you so you don't get ripped off too. Be Warned !!!
