This is the 2nd time we’ve used Craig for our garden , he and his team did our patio 5 years ago and recently he landscaped the rest of the garden. We recently had the pleasure of working with CGE Outdoor Construction & Landscaping who are based in Ringwood in Hampshire. They have transformed our outdoor space by creating a stunning 90m² porcelain patio, removing approximately 60 tonnes of excess soil, and having a retaining wall built with two sets of steps leading to our upper garden. The entire project was completed in about five weeks. Craig and Sam clearly have a passion for their work and it shows in every aspect of their projects. The project management skills are superb, and their attention to detail is impeccable. They were attentive to all our requests and communicated very effectively throughout the process. They monitored every aspect of the job from start to finish, ensuring everything was done to the highest standard. Both Craig and Sam were polite, courteous, and extremely tidy. They proved to be very trustworthy and reliable, always starting early and working until they were satisfied with the day’s progress. They even worked weekends and in various weather conditions without showing any signs of stress, maintaining a high quality of work throughout. We were truly impressed by their professionalism and craftsmanship. Now that the project is complete, we find ourselves missing the excitement of seeing their progress each day. From the moment we were recommended Craig, I knew we were in safe hands. He responded quickly to our enquiry and took the time to really understand what we wanted — not just a new space, but somewhere safe where my two young children could truly be children. Craig came out to measure and survey the garden, and straight away his passion, care, and pride in his work shone through. Oct '25 Craig and Sam have just finished another job for us at the front of our property. Existing driveway lifted and removed; new drainage channel and soakaway installed; sub-base and membrane installed ready for asphalt (to be laid by other specialist). Good work again but more than anything it's the trust that is generated that is so satisfying. Highly recommended. July '21. We wanted some landscaping work done in our back garden to give us a head start into retirement. So pleased we chose CGE to undertake the work. Very positive initial viewing and discussion, mindful of our requirements and offering appropriate advice. The work was carried out professionally and efficiently. Over the moon with the end result. Craig is very capable and personable and we would not hesitate to use him again.

Craig repaired part of my patio that had become very uneven and dangerous, as a result of poor workmanship when it was originally built. Craig and Sam worked very hard to ensure that the foundations are now of a very high standard. Unfortunately the original slabs were no longer available, but with Craig's advice the new slabs blend in very well with the older areas. He has a very good eye for detail. On a personal level, it is of the utmost importance to me that I have a good rapport with anyone working for me. Craig certainly fits that bill! He is very easy to get along with and always listened patiently and politely to my chit-chat! If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy person, who has high standards, but will give you a good price and stick to it then Craig's your man. His easy-going nature, flexibilty and general demeanour make him one of the best.

My cattle grid was in danger of collapse and I needed a really competent and reliable builder who would stick with the job, as once started it would be impossible to get in or out of my property. Thankfully I was recommended to Craig of CGE Construction who quickly convinced me that the only sensible solution was to remove what was left of the crumbling base and rebuild all the below ground support walls and reset the metal grid. Craig and Sam worked for three days, got it all done and it was a great job. Not only that but they were nice guys to have around. Confidence restored I can now get tractors, delivery vans and lorries in and out without worry. Further works priced up and I would have no hesitation in recommending Craig both for his workmanship and sound advice.

Craig has created the most phenomenal outdoor space for us. He seamlessly transformed a building site into a beautifully paved terraced area, a traditional Victorian pathway and a gravel, brick lined pathway connecting the two spaces. He and Sam were a joy to have around and tremendously reassuring each step along the way. Compliments regarding their work are endless from our friends and family who are, each in turn, staggered to see the metamorphosis of our garden. Craig and his team have been amazing from start to finish. Craig came to our house and talked everything through in detail. So we felt very reassured about everything. His quote was very reasonable and we paid exactly what we thought we would. The work that they did was accurate to the millimetre and when the next team of workers came from a different company to do the next stage, they commented on how great the work was and that they rarely saw work of such high quality. Him and his team were always reliable, completely trustworthy and easy to get hold of if we ever had any extra questions (which we often did!) He always listened patiently to any concerns we had and was aalways willing and happy to talk things through. They always left things as clean and tidy as they possibly could and had a portaloo on site for them so we never had any issue with mud trodden into the house or anything else like that. We would highly recommend craig and his team and only have positive praise for everything they did. We really can't thank them enough.

CGE have just completed an outstanding job on our front drive. I would highly recommend them. When i contacted Craig, I was unsure about the best materials and approach to use. He considered the space carefully and drew up a number of options with clear recommendations that were extremely useful. I was very confident about asking him to do the work because it was obvious that he would do it properly, and so it's proved. He has taken great care and completed the job to an extremely high standard. At each stage, he was considerate and communicated clearly about what he was doing. I'm delighted with the result which is far better than I thought was possible given the limitations of the space. Not only would I use CGE again, I wouldn't want to use anyone else!
So pleased with our new drive. For years we have put up with large puddles and weeds. Craig and his team levelled the driveway, suggested a different type of stone and laid perfect block paving at the drive entry.
