Rich Green Gardens

Rich was fantastic and knowledgeable and able to advise on how best to proceed on creating a terrific patio. Logistics were a problem since we are in a terrace house so all materials (including cement in a wheelbarrow) had to come through the house! The whole job from start to finish was 4 days. A big shout-out to Rich’s team (Rom, Ben, Ali and Toby) who were terrific! Would wholeheartedly recommend Rich and his team.

We wanted some rotten decking replaced with a patio and shelter for our new home we had recently moved into. Added into the mix we needed it done by our wedding on the 11th of July. We could not be happier with the final result and are extremely grateful it got done in time for our evening wedding celebration. The guys worked their socks off in the mad heat and it looks great. Rich Green Gardens replaced and old fence and laid a new patio for us. The patio was going on a piece of ground that was uneven and slightly sloping. The did a fantastic job of getting everything level. They worked professionally and explained everything and also added extras that weren't in the original plan. We are very happy with the results and would thoroughly recommend Rich Green Gardens. We look forward to spending much more time in our garden now.

After contacting Rich to help with access across our very boggy garden, he and his team worked their magic. Replacing a poorly laid patio with porcelain, and building an enormous boardwalk across the garden and between our outbuildings. His team were professional and knowledgable, and took the time to get the details right. What a difference they have made. Over the moon with the outcome. I wouldn’t hesitate in asking Rich and his team to do more work if needed.

We have recently had a new conservatory built and originally contacted Rich Green Gardens for a quote to just get a new patio laid. However once Rich saw the potential he shared his ideas with us and we ended up with a far more intensive transformation of our garden than we had envisaged (and budgeted for..!!) No regrets though, and well worth the temporary inconvenience. His team of Toby and Nathan were very attentive - they were always punctual, they respected the neighbours, and nothing was too much trouble. I had to contact Rich 3 weeks after the project completed for advice on some roses and heather which we had asked to be replanted, but which were struggling in their new locations. This wasn’t his fault but no matter - he came round the same day with some replacements and got them planted. This wasn’t necessary, nor expected but is a great example of outstanding customer service. Very happy with the overall service and would happily recommend his services.

Highly recommend Rich and team. We had a typical new build garden with grass full of weeds, no plants and an awkward shape. The team did a great job of a new porcelain patio, new turf, raised beds with lovely plants and a curved built in seating area at the end of the garden to create a focal point. We are extremely pleased with the results. We first enquired pre-Christmas and the team began the work in February so we can now enjoy it as the sun starts to shine. In additional to this, we had some artificial grass laid to the side for the children’s play area which looks great. Thankyou again! The project was managed so efficiently and with limited mess or disruption!

Rich and his team were excellent from start to (impressively quick) finish. We moved into a new property with an unfinished garden and the transformation is stunning. Top notch workmanship and service from the initial designs through to delivery and clean-up. Highly recommended.

The world of landscape gardening is full of people who over-promise and under-deliver. You get glossy brochures and mood boards - but the designs often take no account of your limited budget nor the layout of your garden. After three years of searching for a good designer and contractor, and having been let down 2 years in a row, I hit pay dirt when I got in touch with Rich Green Gardens on the back of a personal recommendation. Rich has created a beautiful space for me, and I’d recommend him without hesitation - not just because of the results (see photos), but because of the following: 1. True “design-and-build” Rich is on top of the whole process end to end. No split between designer and contractor, no disconnect, no stress. He sees the project through from the first sketch to the final sweep-up. 2. He listens and he responds. Rich answers questions promptly and isn’t afraid to say when he thinks a client’s idea won’t work. But any pushback is constructive, and he’ll still look for ways to make things work as the client wants. 3. Great team. Friendly, hardworking, skilled, and professional. Genuinely a pleasure to have Rich’s team on site through out the works — something I’ve never said about construction work before! 4. Pragmatic execution. When issues came up - e.g. space limitations, TPO tree roots, etc. - Rich and his team adapted the design quickly and smartly. That flexibility is rare, and you seldom get it so creatively and seamlessly done. 5. Realistic budgeting and timing. His designs are creative but actually match what you can afford. No fantasy plans. Rich delivered on time and on budget 6. A truly beautiful bespoke result. Rich has created a space that reflects my taste well, but it also stands proud objectively as a beautiful garden. I couldn’t have hoped for more. For all these reasons, I strongly recommend Rich Green Gardens for anyone planning a garden makeover.

Rich Green and his team did an outstanding job transforming my father's neglected garden. From the get-go, they provided a fair and speedy quote, and true to schedule, they began work on time. Rich and his team were very courteous and professional throughout. Initially, we had some design idea clashes, but Rich was accomodating to our choices. In the end, we are more than pleased with their work. Ayush and the boys worked very hard on some of the hottest days of the year. Rich and the team did an amazing transformation on my garden. Incredibly friendly, considerate and professional at all times. Rich helped me to bring my ideas to life as a solid vison and plan, including guidance on choosing the right quality and style of materials to achieve the finished look I hoped for. The younger lads on the team worked very hard to complete the garden in a short amount of time, finishing earlier than originally planned for. I'd highly recommended them to anyone and if I move in future I'll be seeking them out again!

I forget which storm it was, their impact starts to muddle the thinking of who did what and when.... we had fence damage and also in the market to do something about the back-gate irrespective of whatever lashings it was receiving. Rich came to visit and made some suggestions for the repairs and not once did he suggest anything over and above what was required. His quote came in quickly and with a breakdown of costs. With regards the work, his team were conscientious, polite, cracked on without a fuss and the standard of work was excellent.

Rich and team did an amazing job, designing and building us a shelter in an otherwise humdrum terraced house backyard. Shelter from the sun when it’s out and shelter from the rain. It’s become my favourite room of all! I was amazed how quick it went up too 👏👏👏

Several years ago, I was part way through building a deck and as I looked behind me, I could see the massive task that was still to be done to the rest of the garden. My wife found Rich Green Gardens on Facebook and gave him a call. Rich popped round and gave a fair quote. We went for it and Rich and his team did a superb job of turning a wasteland around in a fraction of the time we’d have done it ourselves. We were left with a brilliant, low maintenance space to sit out in and enjoy. Rich was a pleasure to deal with from his first visit, right through to him driving away when the job was done. Some time after doing our garden, Rich approached me to make photographs of his larger projects. I have seen first hand the care, attention and hard graft Rich and his team put into every design. You’re in safe hands. Highly Recommended.

We had Rich and the team completely redo our garden in 2019 which included moving a large pond and putting in a new patio and planters and new lawn, ready for a robotic lawn mower to keep everything looking as good as it did on day one. We were so pleased with the results that we had them back a year later in-between lockdowns to replace the deck with more patio and build a lean to and gate off an area to the side. Would highly recommend (and did) Rich to my brother in-law where they laid a huge patio surrounding a pool. Unfortunately I can't add more photos to show how superb it looks, especially after it's had a couple of years for the plants to establish.

Rich Green and his team did an outstanding job for us with a new garden where there was just builder’s rubble. Rich brought in the turf, the new hedges, a brick wall and fences- all finished to a very high standard at a fair price. Richard and his Team done my Patio many years ago now and it still looks great. They were reliable trustworthy and did a great job from start to finish. Would definitely recommend them if u want a great job done.

We had an old path dug out, new log cabin base installed which needed to be perfectly level and returf the whole garden. The work was done quickly and kept to time and budget. We met a few unknowns along the way which were dealt with quickly giving options and quotes along the way.

We asked Rich Green Gardens to lay a patio for our large garden and build some brick areas for planting for the Spring/Summer months. We wanted something low maintenance we could easily clean, maintain and to grow plants and flowers. We found Rich and team to be very professional, trustworthy, informative and the job was very well executed with quality materials. We had no idea just how amazing our garden could be, but Rich did and he has provided an actual version of that vision which has far exceeded all our expectations! Our garden was a mess, unloved and a place we avoided. It sloped from the back to the front and backing on to woodlands our lawn was just a mass of moss. Now it is a place we want to spend as much time as possible in. It’s beautiful, serene and no matter when, day or night, it’s somewhere that we want go and relax in. None of that would have been possible without Rich’s amazing design and him and his team’s dedicated hard work. When everyone else tried to convince us that we would need to raise the lawn to level out that section (because that was the easiest thing to do) Rich was the only person who actually offered to level the whole garden because he knew that was the best thing to do! He listened to what we wanted, asked questions and came back with a design that just blew us away. After that it was very obvious that no one else could even come close. Rich and his team work so hard, are always polite and nothing is too much trouble. It was a pleasure to have them around. Rich is always open to discuss new ideas and quite happily built a bespoke swing for our daughter, which she absolutely loves and blends in perfectly. So if you want a truly amazing garden that has been designed and built just for you then we would recommend Rich and his team.

I had my back garden completely transformed by Rich and his wonderful team in 2023, this involved completely digging out the entire space that had been very neglected and then laying paving and planting up large borders (that look even better this year!). Rich and his team did an amazing job developing and visualising the Japanese themed garden my partner had originally designed. His team's landscaping and craftsmanship when building the pond, bridge and tea house were exceptional and everyone who sees the garden comments on how stunning it looks, especially when lit up at night.

I was delighted by how Rich and his team came on board with our desire to reuse as many materials as possible when making over our garden. They cheerfully reclaimed bricks, found reclaimed paving slabs to match those we already had and sourced recycled plastic fencing. In spite of atrocious winter weather they worked hard to complete the work to a high standard and neatly disposed of all arisings - even offering to rehome a stray goldfish!

Rich and his team did a fantastic job landscaping our garden in Woodley. We needed decking ripping out, 2 patios installed, turf to be relaid and flower beds put in as well some fence panels redone. From the moment of first contact Rich was timely, polite and really listened to our thoughts regarding how we wanted to use the garden. He came up with two options and spent time with us mapping the spaces out in the garden so we could visualise it with more ease. During the garden renovation it was the wettest month and Rich and his team persevered and worked hard to try and keep everything clean and tidy whilst keeping on track as much as possible with the work. Rich listened when we identified some minor issues and was quick to rectify them. The final result of the garden was excellent and we were very happy with it and have thoroughly enjoyed using it over the last couple of years.
