Flora Garden Design

I found Andy through the Association of professional landscapers website. I wanted quality, knowledge and design flair. I met three different designers from the website, but Andy was the only one who ticked all the boxes. I follow a LOT of designers on Instagram and dabble in interiors myself so I know what looks good and what the latest trends are. It turns out so does Andy! Our project was not without challenges! The garden is sloped and on solid chalk. Andy took account of all the levels and produced a wonderful design giving us lots of pleasing variations and zones in order to create a cohesive and relaxing environment. The design was discussed and Andy made it quite clear how many changes could be made within the quote. The final plan was presented to us in the form of a 3d visualisation and a big A1 plan. This is gold, as it can be shown then to the landscapers. Andy was available throughout the project to answer any questions and give advice on any changes that had to be made. Throughout this process I found him extremely professional, personable and enthusiastic right up until the end of the project. Oh and his planting scheme is first class! What a great morning we spent at the wholesalers where Andy picked all the plants I LOVE. His knowledge and enthusiasm about all things plant related at this point became very apparent and he just effortlessly created plant heaven. I would not hesitate to recommend Andy to anyone who wants a professionally designed space.

Andy created and planted a fabulous design for our garden, we are delighted with it. The design process was unhurried and he really listened to our ideas, and worked with us to fulfil everything we could have hoped for. The plans he drew up were really great, helping us to envisage the garden design, including a 3D video. Andy has excellent plant knowledge, design ideas and was a lovely person to work with. He didn’t hesitate to help us with queries and quickly responded when needed. Great design eye, wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We worked with Andy in designing an area around our new garden room to include access steps, raised planters and planting (see photos). Andy came up with a great design which links the garden room to our existing deck and provided us with detailed plans and a 3d walk through which really helped to bring the design to life and enabled us to visualise the end result. This wasn’t an easy project due to changes in ground levels and limited space but Andy’s design was spot on and has really finished our garden room off beautifully. After the landscape works were complete, Andy took us to a local plant centre to discuss and choose plants which he then planted for us. Andy was great to work with and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.

The photos speak for themselves - before and after! Andy is fantastic to work with. He's so enthusiastic regarding gardening and plants and was totally committed to getting exactly us what we wanted. He came round for an initial discussion and then provided us with some design suggestions for us to choose from based on what we had told him. He then gave us a 3d movie of the final garden and exact printed plans including all measurements and recommendations for materials. This proved to be essential as we could then show the plans to the landscapers when we were getting quotes and there was no confusion of misunderstandings. We went with Tom and his team at Rainbow Gardening in Epsom who were also fantastic and we couldn't recommend them more. They've worked with Andy in the past so everything went so smoothly and Andy was also available during the landscaping to check on the progress. After completion we met Andy at a local nursery to choose the plants which he put in a couple of weeks later and now we can finally enjoy our new garden. We couldn't be happier!
