We are delighted with our new kitchen, a totally different room! David, Kate, Darren and Paul have been a true pleasure to work with and have taken care of everything from start to finish. No request was too much for them and they even cleaned everything every day before leaving the flat. The kitchen is not only absolutely stunning, but also extremely functional and every inch has been put to use. Solent Kitchen Design recently finished a full kitchen design and refurbishment for us, including plastering, flooring, cabinets, new electric feed and new appliances. The quality of the products was excellent. Their help in choosing what we wanted was first rate. Their fitters and specialist subcontractors were uniformly skilled and professional. All work was arranged and planned by Solent Kitchen. It was a painless renovation that resulted in a kitchen that we will love for the rest of our time in the house. SKD were fantastic to deal with with my kitchen dining room remodel! I approached them after my kitchen fitter warned me off Wren as he was having a nightmare with them post sale during the fit! SKD are a service focused family business and they helped fine tune my design and final choices of cabinets and surfaces! The end result speaks for its self.... the project involved knocking two rooms together and adding a wall of glass ... realising a dream since purchasing the house!

The Solent Kitchen Design team were excellent. Listened to our ideas, gave some advice and did a great job. All delivered in a friendly, efficient and professional way. We had a job finding a kitchen installation company that would take responsibility for doing the complete job for us, that is obtain the fitted oven, freeze, microwave etc. we wanted at a good price, organising the delivery to their site and then doing all the installation work in a timely way. Wonderful transformation with a beautiful Stoneham kitchen. The team from Solent were amazing in interpreting and constructing the design I had in my head, making it workable with the size and shape of the kitchen, especially after the builders had prepared the groundwork with walls knocked down and rebuilt. I can’t thank the Solent team enough for the tweaks and changes that were made to enable them to design and build such a beautiful kitchen and for me to finally find the colour I wanted for the bespoke finish. We wanted our dated kitchen replaced and chose Solent Kitchen Design (SKD) to undertake the project. We chose this company after speaking to them and learning that it was a family run business established over many years. They also explained that the kitchen fitters are directly employed by them and that gave us confidence that the work would be completed satisfactorily. Throughout the consultation process, when we were still deciding what we wanted, the owner David and designer Chris were very accommodating, listening to our requirements, and also offering advice and ideas to help us finalise on a design. Although we had gone in with an initial layout for the kitchen based on certain criteria, Chris was able to come up with a better layout that still met all our needs. He and David were also able to advise between the various appliances in the ranges that they offered, including all the “fancy” features that come with the current designs. In terms of kitchen units, SKD use a couple of high quality established kitchen cabinet vendors, and we chose the range by Stoneham. The rip-out and installation went smoothly and started on the date it was meant to start. All the tradesmen employed on the job were courteous, worked hard and generally tidied up after themselves. It was obvious that the two fitters in particular took pride in their work and took time to get the job done right. They even spent a good deal of time getting the fit of a custom-made larder cabinet just right and took care to ensure that at the interface between the new kitchen and the existing house blended as seamlessly as possibly, even matching a small piece of skirting to our existing hall skirting. The guys would also check with us during the installation at decision points, such if a small detail could potentially be completed in alternative ways, rather than just ploughing on regardless. The appliances are great and have already made our lives much better. The finished kitchen is spectacular and we are extremely happy with the result. The Stoneham cabinets look fantastic and feel very well built and sturdy. The appliances that were recommended and that we selected are great and have already improved our experience in the kitchen. In conclusion we would thoroughly recommend Solent Kitchen Design to anyone requiring a mid to high end kitchen for their home.

Work started on schedule, installers are prompt and reliable, were always happy to keep us up to speed and ask if they were ever unsure about something. We asked David at Solent Kitchen Design to come up with a completely new design for our kitchen, including knocking through to the dining room to create a functional & very contemporary kitchen which would become the hub of our home.
