We have just had our kitchen completely redone by Ben, steve and Lewis who were all great, friendly reliable and professional. We are so pleased with the end result it looks great. They also completely stripped out our downstairs cloakroom which was very outdated which now looks lovely fresh and modern. Would highly recommend and not hesitate using again.
I have used Smart Homes for the last 9 years. I own a rental property in Portsmouth that they look after for me. In the past they have done the gas safe certificate, decorated the outside including fitting soffit , fascia. This last week they have fitted a wooden floor after the previous one was damaged by a flood. I would recommend them at anytime.
We honestly couldn’t be happier with the work completed by this team. They’ve transformed our kitchen and downstairs space and the quality of the finish is outstanding. They laid a beautiful herringbone floor throughout the kitchen, lounge, hallway and office, fitted missing kitchen unit doors and handles, replaced all internal doors, added new architrave, skirting and thresholds, fitted our bath panel, blocked up a doorway, installed a new bannister, and replaced light switches and plug sockets — plus countless other finishing touches that really make a difference. They even stuck the missing E back onto our Smeg kettle, which had been driving me mad for months! They were incredibly tidy and considerate, especially important as we needed to live in the space throughout the work. Each day was left clean and usable, progress was fast, and their attention to detail was consistently high. We’re genuinely so impressed with Ben, Steve and Lewis - professional, skilled and a pleasure to have in our home. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them and will absolutely use them again
Another lovely job done by Ben, Steve and apprentice Lewis. We have had a new bathroom that had to be waterproof and an ensuite updated, leaving the tiles on walls and floor - this saved me a lot of money and was very much appreciated. Slight issue with a leak after fitting but Ben has fixed this immediately and made good any water damage. Others would do the job and not provide such great aftercare. Thanks as always, guys.
What a great team Steve & Ben are. They have just refurbished my en suite which is absolutely lovely. They have also recently refurbished my main bathroom and kitchen. They are honest clean & tidy and so trustworthy I have gone on holiday and left them to it. They also worked on my previous home and never disappointed me. Fabulous work thank you. Joan
Ben and his team did an amazing job on our ensuite. It’s the tiniest room, but they paid so much attention to detail and kept everything super clean and tidy. They really respected our home and took every challenge in their stride. The job was quick, as quoted and we couldn’t be happier with the result!

We were recommended Smart Home kitchen and bathrooms by a friend. After sending a text message Ben came to see our bathroom the next day. We were keen to have our bathroom replaced as soon as possible and within a few weeks we had planned, ordered and the work had started. We were not disappointed. Ben, Steve & Lewis were so friendly. Ben and Steve are fantastic and have done 3 separate jobs for us now, the latest one included retiling part of our floor that was poorly installed by the original fitter, they got stuck in and have done a brilliant job, you can’t even tell there has been a repair. Thank you again!

Ben and his team (and family!) are across all the skills and qualifications for gas, electric, plumbing and craftsmanship to give a seamless end-to-end service. Our latest project was a complete renovation with new kitchen, bathroom, rewiring, flooring, plastering, woodwork and redecoration throughout, with Ben giving advice on installation options and supplier choices at every stage. Ben and Steve did a fantastic job of fitting our new kitchen and downstairs cloakroom. They discussed everything with us and came up with ideas we hadn't thought of. They kept us informed of progress on a daily basis and nothing was too much trouble for them. We couldn't be more pleased with the end result and will definitely use them again in the future.
Ben and his team did a fantastic job renovating our kitchen, utility and downstairs loo. The project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget. The team were professional, respectful and hard working. Ben was transparent about costs, advised us well with his design ideas and finishing touches but delivered exactly what we wanted, even when we changed our minds along the way! They kept me informed throughout and most importantly to me, there was no hidden extras along the way the quote they gave me was the exact amount we paid.
Ben and Steve took on our massive house renovation and we couldn’t be happier. The house was a 3 bed with a one bed detached annexe build on as an extension that was inaccessible from the main house. We knew we wanted to turn it into one house but couldn’t find a good way to do it until Ben came to have a look and found a way. They knocked through the upstairs, took away one of the existing staircases and replaced with a downstairs toilet. They opened up the downstairs allowing a beautiful hallway that lead to the annexe stairs and transformed the annexe kitchen into a laundry boot room. They were so clean and tidy and the work was finished quicker than we could ever imagine, no one can believe how much was done in such a small amount of time and how amazing it would look. We would Highly recommend Smart Homes.
