Sean and the team have recently completed a significant kitchen replacement job for us (including the removal of a load bearing wall) and we are delighted with the end result and the standard of the work. This was a complex project involving not just kitchen and appliance installation but flooring, steels, bespoke cupboard building etc. but Mark, Larry, Sam and Bailey (and the wider team) did a fantastic job and they were a pleasure to get to know - they really looked after us (and our neurotic cats) and they couldn't have been more helpful. Jodie in the office was always available to answer and/or get an answer to our multiple questions and we always felt listened to - BHI were more business partners than simply a company doing building work for us. We've already talked to them about doing the bathroom next year and this something that we don't do lightly. Thoroughly, thoroughly recommended.
Communication was good with the office all the way through, the builders were happy to answer any queries etc and we now have a beautiful new kitchen. Thank you BHI Building Services.
Excellent service to a very high standard
We used BHI for a simple loft conversion which started June 2025. This job should have taken 5 to 6 weeks to complete, but ended up taking 40+ weeks. There were quite a few issues along the way. The main one being the incorrect roof structure being fitted. Due to no ventilation being included, our ceiling became very mouldy quite quickly, which became apparent after we had decorated and moved our children up there. Our son with asthma became noticeably wheezy and had frequent asthma flare ups, but BHI/Sean felt it wouldnt have impacted his health... but based on a private damp and mould specialist (that we had to pay for) they confirmed it would certainly make someone poorly especially if they are asthmatic. We then had to move our children out until the issue was resolved. Unfortunately due to the amount of damp and mould, the ceiling had to come down and a whole new roof type was fitted. We were then left to decorate again, move the furniture, belongings and children back up there, whilst figuring life out with our newborn son. In the making good of it all, areas were damaged by builders, including our brand new waredrobe, driveway, scuffed walls/ceilings and windowsill etc. As there was a number of errors, we had to decorate twice on the bottom landing, 3 times on the top landing and twice in the bedroom. All of which we had to fund and deal with. Between BHI (Sean) and London Building Control, both were pointing the finger at each other... someone was clearly forgetting that it was our home in the middle of all of this. Each report that was produced by the building inspectors highlighted areas of concern.... but no one (BHI) seemed to take any accountability. Not even a simple apology for the upset, stress and inconvenience. We were constantly chasing up next actions and a plan to fix the issues. Overall.... as im sure you can tell... it was not a good experience. At the start, Sean was ok... but when he was in the wrong, clearly that bothered him deeply and a change in his approach was obvious. Jodie in the office...was always lovely, and most of the builders that attended the property were also nice. Just a shame it went so wrong. I wouldn't use Sean/BHI again. Just a handful of the many pictures we have. 🙄
Sean and his team at BHI were very helpful and supportive to get sorted what was a smallish job ,but had a few complications to overcome. His quote was reasonable and came in under that. The guys sent to complete the work were on the ball well briefed, they completed the work efficiently and tidily . I’d certainly use them again!
Sean and the team recently completed a garage conversion and kitchen renovation for us and the quality of the work is outstanding, we couldn’t be happier with our new kitchen. Everyone was fantastic, Mark and his team on site were always wonderfully polite, friendly and kept us updated day to day on the work, Jodie was an absolute star helping create such a beautiful design for our kitchen and understanding straight away what we were looking for. Thrilled with the result we can’t thank them enough.
I can confirm that BHI is the best house building company I have dealt with. I fully renovated my kitchen from them which they have transformed into a dream kitchen with all finishing and materials of excellent standards and uncompromising quality .All their team is really professional , friendly,easily approachable, knowledgeable , reliable , hardworking going extra mile to get the job done to excellent standards.They diagnose and resolve any issues accurately and immaculately.They do as they say and you can blindly trust and rely on their standard of work.The top quality of their work is not comparable to any other company.My kitchen now looks like a kitchen in a Palace . I will get all my future projects of my house from them.Their after sales/ work service is excellent , even coming out of hours to sort any issues. They have highly skilled specialists in Plumbing, gas work , waterworks, electric works and they get job done to highest satisfaction and standards attending to finest details and in end you can’t find a single fault. After using their services I can’t think of any other company to use for my all house care projects.I will recommend them 100 percent for any home care projects and can guarantee the top quality standard they maintain thru out their work.I will post pictures of my kitchen in due course.My review is without any exaggerations and their way of renovation is such that they don’t cause any disturbance to households . In short it’s an excellent company to blindly rely for any home building work.The top quality standard of their showroom especially kitchen is the real transformation they do in your home.I can use and think of any best words to stamp the highest quality of work their team delivers.From start to beginning they deliver so smoothly the excellent standards and it seems all their team like a family.
BHI just finished a kitchen renovation for us and they were absolutely fantastic - great quality of work, attention to detail and communication, and all very lovely people. Would highly recommend and we will be going back to them in the future for any other building needs.
Working with Sean and Jodi was a real pleasure. From concept to installation nothing was a hassle. The team did a great job on the installation and though there were a few minor communication mishaps, any problems were dealt with. Would recommend and work with again. Thanks to all.
Amazing from start to finish! Clean, thorough, polite, courteous, professional and showed great attention to detail. Everyone i came in contact with were genuinely lovely people and the pride in workmanship was evident. I can’t recommend them enough - I will definitely use them again
A friendly and efficient company with reasonable pricing and a good installation service
We used BHI services last year for our rear extension, they were very good. Built well, very clean, all on time and went through each aspect with us :) would recommend and definitely use again
Excellent service from concept through to completion
We are glad that we chose BHI to construct our new extension, Sean and his team were professional, courteous and trustworthy. We had no reservations about moving out of the house and leaving our home and contents in Seans capable hands during construction. All aspects of their work was carried out to a high standard and Sean was always keen to see that the client was satisfied. We would highly recommend them and happily use them again.
Two significant pieces of improvement work completed by BHI Building Services, both have transformed our house. Sean and his team are experienced and excellent at what they do. There are lots of examples of the work BHI have done for clients on their Facebook page where you can view projects as they have progressed from start to finish.
I had some walls rebuilt and a patio re-laid. Sean and his team take a pride in the quality of their work, are friendly and helpful and a pleasure to have on-site. Sean as the owner is fair in his pricing and fair in his dealing with the client as he wants the customer to be satisfied. I would happily use them again.
