We hired DC Home Improvements to do a renovation of a newly purchased house for us. It was quite a big job due to the poor condition of the property prior to purchase. The bathroom, WC and kitchen all needed complete refurbishment and there was some decorating to do as well. In just over a month they have really turned the situation around. The house has gone from uninhabitable to a state where my mother can move in. Everything has been done just as promised. The bathroom, WC and kitchen are fully ready and the kitchen, especially, looks very nice now. They also installed new laminate flooring in the sitting room. The speed of the work has been really helpful for meeting our deadline for my mum to move in and when we asked for additional work to be done, this was always accommodated without any issues. Dan and his team have made it possible for us to achieve our goals with this property and it was all done in a polite and helpful manner. Furthermore, I saw quotes that were twice as expensive as what Dan quoted, so it was also good value. I would definitely recommend this company and I would engage their services again in future.

Dan and his team made an excellent job. They worked really hard to make sure it was completed before Christmas. Nothing was too much for him even when I changed my mine on a few things. Love our new Wet room, would highly recommend.

Dan did a full kitchen renovation for us and the finished result is fabulous. He was friendly, knowledgeable and in regular communication letting us know what was happening and when. Dave and Joe were friendly, helpful and the whole team including plasterers and electricians did a great job, taking pride in their work and cleaning up at the end of the day. They even did a few extra things that we asked for once the job had started in our downstairs toilet with no worries. We would have no hesitation about using Dan again or recommending him to anyone else.

Daniel and his team turned up as agreed and got to work with no fuss. Did the installation excellently and with no mess or drama. Responds promptly to calls and texts - good customer liaison - quite refreshing actually. Totally recommend.

The job was to install a utility room with mid-range units, and hang 4 oak doors. The job was completed on time and on budget. They kept the workplace clean and tidy, and were very helpful offering advice on improvements to the design. Large downstairs refurbishment. Dan and Dave were a pleasure to work with, nothing too much trouble, even when plans needed amending. When snags occurred they were resolved quickly and effectively. At the end of the project we were delighted with the outcome. Highly recommend Dan his company.

We needed Dan's help in putting right our previous builder's mistakes in fitting our new kitchen. Fortunately Dan scheduled us in quickly and he and David completed the works efficiently and to our satisfaction.

I received several quotes for our kitchen refurbishment and although not the cheapest Dan certainly seemed the most knowledgeable, honest and with a real interest in actually doing the job. Although not the cheapest Dan was very competitive with the quote and some were way higher. The job was completed in a timely manner with no fuss. I was expecting the whole project to be stressful but it wasn’t at all. I was able to sit back and let the team get on with it. The quality of the workmanship is second to none with only a couple of snagging points at the end which were completed straight away with no hesitation. The oak worktop(supplied by me) had some minor damage which Dan spent time on to correct to a very high standard. Of course there were other issues that cropped up beyond anyone’s control however, these issues were dealt with without problems and Dan absorbed this in to the cost. There was no trying to add extra fees to the quote which I have seen many times from other trades. During the refit I had an issue with the gutter on the house and Dan even fixed that without charge. Before this job I had not employed Dan however, now I would highly recommend Dan, Darren and ging to anyone considering home improvements and he has every trade covered. Before deciding who will do your job I would honestly say, get a quote from Dan as well. A old school honest company. At the end of the day you get what you pay for and somethings are worth paying that little extra for!

Well what can I say apart from I am delighted with my new kitchen. I contacted Dan after finding him on Check a Trade as I needed my kitchen fitted in very short notice despite him being extremely busy. Within a week of calling, one of Dan's top men arrived and has made an amazing job of our new kitchen. Dan gave me a very reasonable quote and I would recommend him, his company and his team to anyone. Top job! ☺

Required a dishwasher to be installed where there was none previously. This involved needed the kitchen units altered, a fused-socket installed and some additional plumbing under the sink. Everything was done quickly and to a great standard, including a certificate for the electrical works. You don’t always get these, so it was further confirmation of excellent tradesmen. Very tidy throughout the job and left everything perfect at the end of the job. We have other work required in the house and will bae asking Dan and them team to do it!! Thank you!!

I came across Dan and his team on Facebook by accident. So pleased I did! They have done an amazing job of refitting our kitchen, taking down our chimney breast, fitting new doors, radiators and flooring. They were a pleasure to have in our home. So respectful of us and our home. Nothing was too much trouble. So skilled in all areas I can’t recommend them highly enough. BRILLIANT 🤩

I have used Dan and his team twice before and he didn’t disappoint this time. Fantastic work. What I like about Dan is that he is easily approachable. So any concerns or bits I want to point out are dealt with easily, with no issue at all. Also, Dan's costs are very reasonable and I have no concerns about being overcharged. I cannot recommend Dan and and his Company enough. The level of care and professionalism they put into work is quite extraordinary. They are not afraid to take on difficult tasks, work with nonstandard/foreign units, resolve issues, propose creative ways forward on a sticky wicket--you can put your trust in them like with a good dentist and be assured the work will be done, including all necessary details of which I wasn't even aware of and, obviously, did not ask about in the first place. Dan and the team created a new, fully open plan kitchen for us. They took out supporting internal walls from our 100 year old house and fitted hefty steel work, which was complex but completed without any issues. They fitted a new kitchen, new crittall style doors, new radiators, all new electrical work and laid engineered wood flooring. Dan and the team were professional, tidy, friendly and completed the project on time even with some additions. Nothing was ever a problem for them, and they worked with us to ensure that everything was to our liking. We also shopped around for a few different quotes, and Dan was very competitively priced. The room was finished to such a high standard - we couldn't be happier. Highly recommended! We'd definitely use Dan and the team again for any future work.

Fantastic team Over the years, we have had several works done in our home by all sorts of contractors. I must say that Dan is Head and Shoulders above them all. He was very approachable and helpful in making sure we were happy with every little bit of our new kitchen. His team were polite and very respectful in our home. The polite and respectful attitude of the team made a great impression on me and my family and made US comfortable with them in our home. Dan and his team are all professional, knowledgeable and well mannered, with can-do attitude. They have renovated our entire house, including electrics and plumbing; fitted a new boiler, bathrooms and kitchen; decorated; designed and built bookcases; and dealt with all the minor issues that popped up during the renovation. Dan has always responded quickly and been at the other end of the line to answer any questions we have ever had. He guided us in the choice of materials and managed the suppliers and the deliveries. I have just had a kitchen refit which was knocked through to the dining room for open plan living. Dan has a truly great team working with him, very courteous, tidy and professional. I was kept informed of all progress and what would be done next. Communication was excellent. The end result is such a transformation. I would highly recommend Dan and his team to anyone. What an unprofessional company. Arranged to come and quote a big job on 2 separate occasions (because Dan forgot the first one) then decided not to even turn up to the second either. What a joker. That's 10k in somebody else's pocket. Do Not use. I couldn't reply to your remark. So I thought I'd add it here. Same name and number as the person I arranged 2 appointments with. Friday at 9am and then Monday at noon. No show.

This was a most pleasurable project with a complete remodel of our kitchen. Totally professional in work and manner Dan and his team were a pleasure to have in our home. Work was on time, clean and tidy keeping us fully informed throughout. Could not be happier with the finished project.

Excellent work from Dan and would recommend him to family and friends. While replacing our bathroom Dan and his team were friendly, considerate and efficient. Very supportive whilst we were picking our bathroom and kept us updated throughout the process. We will be using Dan for further work around our home.

I had Dan and his team to fit me a new bathroom and kitchen. They were on time professional and always turned up with a smile. They worked hard and were immaculately clean. Kept me informed throughout the entire project can't recommend them enough.

This is the first time I used DC Home Improvements, Dan and his team repaired our uneven and loose hallway floorboards, fixed the creaky stairs and landing then went on to build 3 cupboards under the stairs using some previously unused space for storage, also replaced a joist and did extra plaster work all within the budget, all work was done to an excellent quality with good communication throughout, everywhere was left clean and tidy each night, I would recommend DC Home Improvements and I will be calling them again.

Dan and his guys are the BEST. We just completed a major kitchen rebuild, which involved knocking down a supporting wall, installing a new RSJ & supports, putting up a new stud wall, replacing a floor and finally installing a Wren kitchen to our design. Every step of the way, the guys were helpful, flexible, proactive, accommodating and cheerful too. Nothing was too much trouble, and the attention to detail and quality of finish was second to none. You can really tell that the guys take a genuine pride in what they do. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend DC for any home improvement project.
