OpenHaus were great to work with. Philip is an innovative designer with a deep knowledge of relevant suppliers and products and also willing and able to work towards an overall budget. Quality of drawings were first rate as were customer facing elements both with ourselves as clients and our building contractor. Kitchen fitting was to a very high standard with real attention to detail and no issues at all to resolve snagging. Would definitely recommend working with OpenHaus.
Philip and Sonia were excellent throughout our the design and execution of our new kitchen. Philip was very patient and ensured we now have a kitchen that fits our needs. Bela, Dave, Russ and the whole team were excellent, always conscious that they were working in your house and the standard of finish was excellent.
From planning to completion I was made feel that my project was the most important thing. Russell, Ricky and Charlie were professional, extremely tidy and kept to planned timelines. From a planning standpoint Philip made sure all my requirements were met or exceeded. My kitchen is not the biggest or an interesting shape but it’s certainly punching above its weight now.

Phillip and the team produced two brilliant yet vastly different designs to better utilise the space available. We absolutely love our new kitchen! The attention to detail and thought that Philip put into the design has resulted in a stunning kitchen which is a joy to be in! The detailed plans Philip provided were invaluable for our electrician and builder and Sonia kept us up to date with delivery and installation timescales, dealing with my odd wobble calmly and professionally :) The precision of the fitting was incredible and the team made sure everything was spot on and rectifying it quickly if it wasn’t. We have had so many compliments on the final result but most importantly we love it and are getting so much pleasure from it - I have no hesitation in recommending Openhaus to anyone!
From our first meeting with Philip, to a final sign off we had thoroughly enjoyed working with The Open Haus team on the project of our kitchen. The design is sleek, and elegant and exceeded our expectations. Everyone who worked on the project had been coordinated by Philip and it was clear that they had all been selected for the job due to the immense pride they take in their craft. Throughout the whole process we had come across a range of friendly, polite and task driven professionals. The quality of product is clear and expected, but the quality of service will leave you wondering what other aspects of your home improvements could employ The Open Haus team for!

Having our kitchen designed and fitted by Openhaus was a fantastic experience. For the design process, Philip was great to work with, listening to our evolving brief and adapting our design accordingly. The range of furniture and accessories was excellent, and even when items were not part of the standard offering Philip did a great job of searching around and providing suggestions that worked with our design. The fitting process was smooth, with everything sorted by the Openhaus team. We also had an unexpected delay in the fitting due to the need to repair the subfloor - Philip and the team were great in adapting and rearranging as needed. Overall we are very happy with the kitchen and would recommend Openhaus! From initial design to completion we could not fault the service.
Dealing with OpenHaus and Philip was easy, comfortable and an enjoyable experience. When Philip first came to measure up the kitchen, you could see he had many ideas and thoughts. When we went to visit for the first design, there was a lot of thought and precision that had gone into the design. We really liked it, but had a suggestion of our concept, with an island. He had already designed that as a back up. We were very impressed. The choice of units and appliances are of a very high standard. Philip was very patient with our tweaks and changes and implementing them. The computer modelling used gives great detail. The showroom is impressive, and I would happily work with OpenHaus again and high recommend them.
We came to Openhaus on a recommendation, after finding that other kitchen companies really weren't interested in adapting their standard products to solve the challenges of the space we had for our kitchen. Philip was immediately different, actually seeming to enjoy the challenge of an inconveniently placed beam, a change of ceiling height, and a door in the 'wrong' place, and after measuring and drawing our room he set about looking for solutions that would work for us. Having sorted the practicalities, Philip then moved on to the look, and listened to understand our aims, then came up with suggestions that delivered exactly the look we hoped for, while gently nudging us away from ideas that would have really spoiled the design or, even worse, blown the budget! What we've got is a perfect mix for us, with real wood and two coordinating colours. Of course, designing the kitchen is only half the battle, but the Openhaus team really followed up with the installation too. They showed huge attention to detail and were already fixing any snags before we had a chance to point them out. When there was a delay (and Covid and Brexit did cause some) we were informed straightaway and given an amended plan. All in all a very good service, a friendly team and a wonderful installation.
Thank you for taking our kitchen to a whole new level! Design was sleek and the outcome was better than we could have imagined possible. The team were a pleasure to work with and workspace was always tidy! We would definitely do it again! Not to mention that they finished ahead of schedule and it was during the pandemic!

Throughout the design process, Philip was both innovative and helpful in making best use of our available space and in understanding our needs and requirements. Our kitchen and utility room were a long time in the planning - we like to plan ahead, it was part of an extension so hadn’t actually been built when we started the design and COVID also played its part. Jon was very patient going through numerous iterations and always offering practical and diplomatic reasons for his designs and suggestions. We actually changed our building design on the basis of his kitchen design. Philip was also great with design suggestions and was very good at explaining how things would look when we only had a building site to visualise. Philip and Russ were a great team when it came to installation, always polite, friendly and neat and tidy. They were also great in setting up a temporary kitchen area for us to use while our house was a building site. Thanks also to Sonia for her efficiency and speed of response. We’ve been enjoying our new kitchen for a few months now and are very pleased with with the finished article.

So, himself, the chef of the house decided at the beginning of the year he'd like the kitchen extended and totally refurbished. Went to Openhaus showroom and who could not like what we saw. Discussed ideas with Jon who came up with a brilliant design, booked the builders and left it to Phil to organise what we needed. Been a long journey but it's done and we could not be happier. Great attention to detail, excellent fitting and very responsive approach. The Rational cupboards are super and everything works perfectly including himself who has worked everything out and is enjoying his cooking!! Thank you team Openhaus for everything.
We are so pleased we decided to go with Openhaus for our new kitchen. It is everything we dreamed of. Jon is an excellent designer; we have ended up with a perfect layout thanks to his attention to detail. The craftsmanship is superb; Russ and Philip are both experienced, skilled, courteous and polite. They are all a fab team - the electrician too! It was well worth spending the extra money to get a quality kitchen, installed to the highest standard. We are completely delighted.
The kitchen is all that we hoped for – modern, sleek and really practical. The OpenHaus team are exceptional designers and craftsmen, doing their very best to ensure that we were happy with all the decisions and we have been truly impressed by the standard of their work. It is easy to give a 5 star review when all has gone to plan, but the test of great customer service is how unforeseen circumstances are dealt with - I think the ongoing pandemic qualifies as such! We are well aware that they did far more than we expected to ensure that any inconvenience was kept to the minimum and that we felt safe at all times. We cannot rate the company highly enough and we are happy to provide a recommendation to prospective customers.

We were introduced to Openhaus by our family run bespoke Building Contractor who recommended them as a family run local kitchen contractor who could provide us with the eye catching / 'wow' kitchen we wanted. We spent a few weeks comparing Openhaus to other local but national contractors both in terms of design and price and concluded that the very small price premium was worth it given two factors: - the higher quality German kitchen cabinets - the fact that the owner was the 'fitter' and that should give us confidence that he was unlikely to allow poor installation to erode their reputation. We were not disappointed at all and are delighted with the fabulous results. The Openhaus team , whilst small cover all the bases and nothing was too much trouble . They aim their product at bespoke high quality kitchens ( but unbelievably they are not way over priced as compared to other 'high street' quality kitchen companies) and their small installation team ( comprising Philip, the owner and Russ who are both very polite, considerate and easy to have around the house) means that they are limited with the number of kitchens they can install a year- but its worth waiting for ! I am delighted to be able to offer this feedback would have no hesitation in recommending Openhaus to anyone entertaining the idea of installing a 'wow' kitchen.

No detail is too much trouble from the visit to the showroom to discuss exactly what you would like thro design and ending with the installation by skilled workmen. Everything is coordinated so no time is wasted. The quality of cabinets and white goods is top of range. We would highly recommend Openhaus if you want a first class installation.
Sadly this wasn't a 5* experience for us. We really wanted it to be as so much of what Openhaus believe in and strive to deliver is commendable from the well made Rationale units, the high end fit and snagging . They treat each kitchen as if it were their own and are very flexible and accommodating. The project massively over ran, some of this was outside their control, other parts were oversights.Communication about who was coming in and when was very poor. Details that had been discussed with one party were often not communicated to the others. There were too many grey areas ie lighting and standard of finishing. When I communicated several of the oversights the response was defensive and unhelpful. By the end of the project I was relieved it was over.
We recently had our kitchen completely redone by OpenHaus &what a transformation this has been. For those of you only wanting a summary, then we would highly recommend the OpenHaus team as we are delighted with the finished product. Jon, Philip &Sonia made the experience as pain free as possible, commendable given the scale of the work required. Everything was completed to budget & a few days ahead of schedule. When selecting a suitable company, we take into account customer reviews as part of the criteria, but we found many to be high level & didn’t explain the process in detail. We were therefore a little unsure of what to expect & what timescales this was likely to take. We have therefore taken the opportunity to provide details of our experience that may be of use to those interested in our journey at a more granular level. Previously, we had a tired set of units that failed to fully utilise the space we had available. We were open minded in terms of what we were looking for, hence didn’t start with much of a brief other than working with the room layout as it was, so no moving of doors or windows. Having done our research & liked what we saw, we visited the OpenHaus showroom around the middle of August to explain our predicament. Jon followed this up with a site visit where he performed an interview around what we wanted to use the kitchen for, what appliances we required along with our preferred materials, colours & design that would complement the rest of the house. Within a few days, Jon had drawn up possible designs & invited us in to see the renders. He talked us through the rationale for placing certain things where he had showing us that he had considered the information provided & acted accordingly. He came up with some clever ideas & were very impressed with his proposal. To his credit, the vast majority of the original design ended up in the finished product. He worked with us on a small number of refinements, so following a couple of iterations, we had finalised the plans. Construction of the units started within a couple of weeks of placing the order & the end of October set for the refit to commence (approx. 5 week build time given the number of units required). In parallel, Philip visited us a number of times to take measurements, introduce us to the team & clarify any final points. Work started on time and moved quickly. Within two weeks, the old kitchen had been removed & the units fitted ready for templating the worktops. These would require 2-3 weeks to prepare, during which time further work such as fitting handles & other sundry tasks were carried out. As it turned out, the granite was ready within two weeks & promptly fitted. We could finally visualise what the finished product was going to look like and we were very pleased with things so far. A further week of painting, fitting plinths, cutlery trays & other finishing touches saw the job completed by early December, which was ahead of schedule. We had kept this quiet from some friends who were visiting the following weekend so was a complete surprise to them & needless to say, they were blown away with what they saw. Everyone was professional & ensured things were secure &tidy at the end of each day. During the final few days, we were asked to prepare a snagging list. This was only minor items, but we did list everything we found to the point we could be accused of nit-picking (we were looking for perfection after all!), but this was all accepted without fuss & everything on our list was rectified within a few days, with the exception of one cutlery tray where the wood was in a paler colour than the other trays & is currently in the process of being re-manufactured. Having had our new kitchen for a month now, we are still delighted with everything & it has prompted positive feedback from everyone who has visited. The fit, finish &materials are all superb & we are sure we will be enjoying it for many years to come.
Having waited for a long period over winter for our extension to be completed, it was a welcome relief to take delivery of our Rational kitchen. OpenHaus drew our attention to important design elements, gave great advice on all their products and were flexible when construction issues occurred. The OpenHaus team did a great job, from the initial planning through to the final finish we were always in the loop - and the end result has transformed a dull space into one which is a delight to prepare meals in. Best of all, the design incorporates both high tech specification kit with some old material to create a very personal finished product.

We looked in London and across the South East at various different Kitchen companies, but nothing was bespoke enough. Openhaus have a combination of inhouse joinery and German engineered cabinetry that fitted the bill. Jon in the store was very professional and not at all pushy. He has a great eye for design and made the whole process simple and straightforward. Phillip, the owner/director and fitter.... also makes guitars!!! So you know the detail that is thought about. Everyone working on the kitchen, Russell and the painter were exceptionally professional, very clean, delivered on time and we cannot fault them. We are very pleased with our kitchen. It's bespoke, looks interesting, but more importantly it works as a busy kitchen all day, every day.
Philip, Jon and the Openhaus team transformed the kitchen at the front of our house from a dark, cold, cramped and unwelcoming room with an equally dingy and narrow entrance hall into a fabulous, bright and well planned living space where it is a joy to create food. We chose OpenHaus to replace our kitchen as we were very impressed with their professional attitude; attention to detail; thoughtfulness to our needs; great knowledge of the products that they sell/use; and help with choices where we felt we needed guidance. Once we had signed our contract, the curtsey; positive attitude; thoughtfulness to our needs; and consideration continued. We found that they took care to ensure that we were kept informed of the next steps and the best thing was that they ensured that our house was left in a tidy state each night, thereby causing least disruption to our lives for the few days that we were without a kitchen. They demonstrated consideration by moving our old fridge freezer and microwave to another part of the house so that we were never without them and prioritised the installation of our new appliances. The craftsmanship is truly commendable, the finishing of the awkward corners shows that they take pride in their work. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody who wants a new kitchen installed – and we would recommend a visit to their delightful showroom.
