We are very pleased with the friendly and professional service provided by Solent Worktops, from the initial enquiry right through to the installation. All costs were clearly laid out. I opted for Solent even though they were £500 dearer than my other identical quote based on the service and aftersales assurances from them. Throughout I specced double pencil edge profile, expensive but it was a deal breaker and what we wanted. Fitting day, the worktop arrived double bevel (the most basic finish) The fitter informed me that J**** the templater had written it down wrong. Step in owner Ray , who rather than apologise proceeded to argue with me and would take no ownership of the mistake. Said I should have checked, when clearly they hadn't. I had plumbers and electricians on site to carry out work as soon as install was complete so a revisit would have had financial implications. All quotes at all stages stated double pencil edge in BOLD!!! They highlighted in bold (not me) to underline what I would be paying for. Ray's unbending abrupt nature when his companies mistake/oversight was brought to light left me in a position where I had no choice but to accept the lesser specification product. No compensation or remedy was offered. At the end of the day they are only middlemen who take a profit for arrangements. In the event that your install goes awry dont expect any resolution if it is likely to cost them money, clearly an element of the profit isn't set aside to cover mishaps. I can not recommend, Do some homework and go to a company that is not just a middleman. ADDENDUM - Both under mounted sinks became detached within 4 months. We got a plumber out to remedy. His findings , cheap nasty silicone used and not enough of it, Appalling!

Excellent service and reasonable prices

No pressure, informative and friendly. Keen pricing. Have to review this rating as after sales is non-existent. Sent an email a week ago about safety concerns on the very hot water (kettle) tap - no response, not even an acknowledgment. No responsibility for fitting - had to pay to get it fixed after spending hundreds on the tap in the first place. If you want worktops - great - anything else is beyond their capabilities.

Really personalised, unhurried expert guidance in their magical cavern, full of beautiful choices!! To suit every budget...we were delighted to be made to feel as important as maybe a client who would go to top end styles! Thank you!

Ray, trading as Solent Worktops, was everything I could wish for in a craftsman; knowledgeable, skilled, reliable, patient and pleasant and his prices were extremely competitive. We would have no hesitation in recommending his services.

We were let down twice with another supplier during our extension and refit of our kitchen. Solent worktops left a card in our letterbox during our build whilst on another job round the corner and I decided to ring them for help. The service was so professional , they were around within that day to measure up. Within a few days a price was quoted and an order placed. Fitment of worktops was straight forward with no delays and the communication of the progress of the order was excellent. I would recomend them if you are thinking of a new worktop.

Solent Worktops provided quartz worktops, up stands and a window sill for our new Homebase kitchen. Firstly, the customer service and personal touch we received from Ray was exemplary with him visiting our house on several occasions to discuss options without any pressure to commit unless it was what we wanted. The quality of the product was outstanding and was delivered and fitted to suite our timings. The quartz we chose can be purchased from most of the large retailers but was provided by Solent Worktops at a more competitive price which, coupled with the personal service we received, make writing this review so easy. I have already recommended Solent Worktops to my friends and would recommend them to anyone needing new or replacement worktops. A first class service!

I would recommend Solent worktops. Ray was helpful, efficient, and professional. We had a problem when the hob was being fitted, and Ray dropped everything to come and sort it out. He explained everything he was doing, and has a good range of samples that we could take around to the kitchen suppliers to make sure it all went together.

Quartz worktop supply and installation priced at competitive rates. Survey of worktops very thorough. Installation took place on agreed date.and finished job very good. Would recommend to others - altogether a prompt, efficient and friendly operation
