Byron Heating Ltd

Alistair fitted a new boiler at a rental property and, after an assessment, upgraded the heating at our own house. He is very professional and totally reliable. He is prepared to go the extra mile to get things right. If called on because of a heating problem he is prepared to put himself out to get things fixed in good time. Look no further than Alistair if you want a great outcome at a sensible price. Top bloke!

Excellent service, Alistair is extremely knowledgeable of boiler and radiator servicing. House had an issue with radiators not working, Alistair flushed it through (picture attached is the amount of small iron filings flushed out to a magnet!!) leaving the system working superbly. Also serviced the boiler during visit. Highly recommended

Alistair has been amazing. Recently he commissioned our newly installed underfloor heating system and before that he fitted a new boiler and all new radiators, connected our kitchen and help with our bathrooms. He is a consummate professional and someone we trust to deliver excellent work on time and always comes out very competitive on price.

Excellent -New boiler installation The experience was excellent throughout. Alistair was extremely diligent and kept a very tidy and organised workspace. He also took considerable care to ensure that all wiring was completed correctly especially as the previous system had an unusual configuration making the installation more complex than usual. He was able to attend to the job at short notice, which we also appreciated Everything working very well - would highly recommend

Alistair has purchased lots of his boilers and stock through us at Williams for years and in that time we’ve built a great relationship with him, he is a very reliable heating engineer!

3 years ago Al removed our old boiler which was about 35+ years old, (probably older than Al) this caused a few issues for Al as it was so heavy to remove and the flue was massive, this needed some external brickwork to fill the hole left and although I had some new bricks, Al would not use them as they did not match the 1920s house, Al sourced some old matching bricks took them home and dried them out in his own oven before returning and fitting with quick drying mortar in order to continue fitting the new boiler and flue, oh yes I should have stated that it was the coldest day of the year. Al returns every year and performs an intensive boiler service, cleaning the filter, checking the gas values etc, etc at a very good price Al has a great knowledge of his subject and will not rush any job, he will ensure it is done to perfection. I fully recommend Al and this company. I have included a picture of this years service in full flow.

Alistair carried out a boiler installation for me in Winchester 2 years ago when my old combi boiler packed up and couldn’t be revived. Can’t rate him highly enough, he’s a hard worker and very neat and tidy when he’s working. I had to call him this week when I discovered a small leak in my airing cupboard and he identified the problem, which was nothing to do with the boiler itself and sorted it out very quickly. I would definitely recommend him without hesitation for any heating jobs.

Alastair did a fantastic job and explained everything clearly. The new unvented cylinder was installed promptly and the hot water and pressure overnight is brilliant! I would highly recommend Alastair for any plumbing requirements you have in Southampton

Alistair fitted our boiler today and cant fault his work. He was meticulous, and didnt want to leave until the job was finished to perfection. Well recommended to any one wishing to use his service .Even returned next day to complete and test system

Absolutely fantastic job! Alistair fitted a smart new top of the range Worcester combi for me, and a new radiator. He completed everything within a week of me first contacting him, and was reliable, efficient and endlessly patient. He left me with a lovely warm house and made sure everything was immaculate. I LOVE the shiny new pipework too and am sad that it is hidden by my built in microwave! Would highly recommend him!

Just had my system power flushed by Byron Heating. It hadn’t been touched for many years & the radiators were taking for ever to heat up. The power flush has rejuvenated the system which now heats up in minutes instead of hours. You can see some of what came out of the system from the photo. I can thoroughly recommend Byron Heating. Allastair came out at short notice to fix a water leak in the central heating system. Investigative work found a screw through the pipes under the floorboards which had been in place for some time. All fixed up within a few hours and has been perfect since, would highly reccomend!

Highly recommend Byron Heating, Alistair is super friendly and knowledgeable. He helped us with a much overdue boiler service and under floor heating power flush - neither of which were straight forward! Great value for money and excellent job.

I contacted Byron Heating about a boiler service, to fit a water conditioner and get a power flush on my system. I’d been recommended a few plumbers by neighbours in Winchester. Alistair got back to me and came to look a few day later. He was really helpful. I was wanting to reduce limescale as I live in a hard water area. He said it was possible to fit the product I’d researched. He looked at my central heating and said it was performing well and didn’t need a power flush. I appreciated his honesty. He completed a boiler service and fitted the part I wanted. He did a thorough job sorting some issues. His communication was also good. I’d recommend his services to friends and family.

Great customer service very efficient great bloke to do the the job and even cleans up after himself couldn’t recommend any one better great job done

Did a great job fitting new Combi boiler and fitting all new pipes around the house as my old System was so old it was a one pipe system. Fabulous job done, clean and tidy. Thanks again for all you done.

Alistair has done an amazing job with an urgent unvented cylinder installation we desperately needed in our flat in Southampton. He removed the ancient hot water cylinder from the first floor, boarded over part of the loft and installed the new unvented pressurized cylinder in the loft. He removed a load of old crap from the loft including the now unnecessary water tank in which he showed me the truly gross sludge at the bottom of the tank - to think we'd been bathing and washing up in water that had been sitting in that tank!!! He also noticed a leak on my neighbours cold water feed pipe and fixed this for free preventing a potential catastrophic leak in the loft. He turned up on New Years day to look at the job and spent a long time in the loft not minding about getting insulation fluff all over his socks. His calm and friendly personality coupled with his amazing technical knowledge, excellent communication skills sealed the deal and we chose him above all the other plumbers we'd had quotes from which were a lot !! Thank you Alistair - you are a brilliant find so lucky we found you :)

Allistair responded quickly to my inquiry, arrived when he said he would to Woolston. Systematically sought out the problem, resolved it (something other engineers failed to do) and carried out remedial repairs to ensure we have a functioning boiler, and promised to be back the following week to carry out a more permanent solution

Boiler cleaned in woolston, Southampton. Alistair responded quickly and was able to resolve issues which others had missed

Thanks Alistair for the great boiler installation. Would definitely recommend to anyone based in Colden Common or Winchester area. 10/10!

Boiler installation in Colden Common, Winchester - 100% recommend! So happy with the service provided. Alistair is so lovely and professional.

Alistair Byron is a true gem, really nice guy, very knowledgeable, highly skilled, tidy and reliable. He turned up on New Years day to give us a quote as we had moved in to our flat just before Christmas and were struggling with the ancient hot water system. Now we have loads of mains pressure hot water, and an extra cupboard in our flat as Alistair re-sited the new pressurized tank to the loft. He also came across a potential burst pipe on my neighbours water tank in the loft and due to professional duty of care he fixed this for free. This could have caused an expensive burst pipe situation in the loft especially with the cold weather predicted. I highly recommend Alistair, we are so happy with everything he's done for us. Thank you 🙏

Brilliant boiler installation in Winchester! Alistair is always professional, knowledgeable and reliable and I would highly recommend hm to anyone. The workmanship is first class and he goes over and above to ensure customer satisfaction. Always good on price, responsive, polite and great communication.

Work was for a power flush but Alistair looked beyond that to understand why the system was running so poorly. Ended pressurising the system with a very thorough flush and now every radiator is hot and house is honest it's been since we moved in 10 years ago.

Alistair from Byron Heating really went the extra mile for us. We had him round to power flush the system but along the way he also fixed several other persistent issues that other plumbers had failed to remedy. Fully recommend him.

Top job installing an unvented cylinder in Awbridge, Romsey. Great to work with start to finish: clear project management, completed on-time to a high standard and everything left perfectly clean and tidy. Highly recommended!

Boiler installation in Winchester, UK. Excellent service and very rapid response. I strongly recommend Byron Heating Ltd.

Alistair came in to replace the boiler in an emergency. He provided a seamless service, understood the heating system in no time to be able to conduct the assessment and installed the new boiler without issue. He was concise when explaining the work required and diligent to ensure it was done as quickly and to a high standard. I would highly recommend Alistair.

Alistair is a great guy, who did a great job replacing our condemned boiler. It was an emergency situation and he was very accommodating to both initially assessing and then replacing the boiler. He was very clear what needed to be done and broke everything down. This is in complete contrast to some suppliers who wanted to install a larger boiler than was necessary, do massive amounts of unnecessary pipework and charge a huge premium. Very happy to recommend.

Alistair did a first-class job in installing our new boiler. He had to overcome some very intransigent problems with the heating system in our house which he persevered with until the root causes of the problems had been identified and resolved. We cannot recommend him highly enough.

Great install by a top professional. Highly recommend.

Alistair was amazing, he talked through all the options with us and was super efficient and went above and beyond to make sure we had hot water after our immersion heater leaked, he upgraded the system to an unvented cylinder so we now have mains water pressure in our hot tap, gone are the days of waiting 10 minutes to fill the washing up bowl. Very neat and tidy work and I would recommend him to all my friends and family. Once again thank you alistair

We have just had an unvented hot water system fitted and we were really impressed with the service. Our house had a complexity of pipes, 3 bathrooms, 3 pumps and some quirks. Alastair and Jack were amazing. They were punctual, reliable, and carried out the work to a high standard. Everything was done cleanly and efficiently, and they took the time to make sure everything was working perfectly before finishing. They got the job completed in two days and my house now has lots of hot water and no horrible pump noises. I would happily recommend them to anyone looking for quality work and a professional attitude.

High quality work. Excellent communication Very tidy. Could not recommend highly enough

Alistair was fantastic. Replaced my immersion cylinder very quickly and had my hot water working in no time! Alistair was professional, friendly and patient with my questions. I would absolutely recommend him to everyone and will be contacting him in the future if I have any problems. Thank you!
